A bring your own wine restaurant is always appreciated, especially if the prices are not "boosted" to make up for the shortfall. There are a la carte choices and a few combined choices but limited to a starter and main course. That's good, but if a coffee was included it would be better. So my partner had the combined vegetable + chicken / vegetable soup on crispy noodles ’and added an imperial roll’ from the à la carte menu. I chose tonkinese soup, 1 imperial roll, 1 curry chicken main course from the menu. I would have liked to try a 'tempura shrimp' starter but there was none and so at the suggestion of our waitress, I had a 3 king prawn starter. For the soup, whether vegetable or tonkinese, the taste of the broth was the same for both. BLAND. Sometimes you can taste like lemongrass or some other spice, but in this case, there was nothing to enhance the taste of the broth. I had to add salt and Sriracha sauce. Royal prawns, what can I say !! It was shrimp with a breading that reminded me of egg rolls. We both agreed not to recommend this dish. The Imperial Roll. OMG !!! I think it was the WORST roll I have eaten in my life. Was it the food inside, the oil used, the thick sticky breadcrumbs, or the whole thing that tasted old. All I know is we tasted and hated it. I left mine in my plate hoping my waitress would ask me what it was, but I didn't. There seems to be a consensus. The waiters take the order, bring the dishes, clear the dishes and clean the table. The job is done and it seems to be working. Why ask questions ?? In fact, this is a shortcoming in this restaurant. The service is good. Plan down to the second. We don't mess with the puck as we say. Okay, for the good points. The intimate atmosphere, non-Asian background music and the main courses. I really liked my curry chicken served on vermicelli. My partner also enjoyed his veggie chicken. We have eaten better dishes like these in other restaurants, but it was good. Overall the experience was good but I would not go back except to order the main takeaway. (Original) J’avais lu beaucoup de bons commentaires concernant ce restaurant et ma fille y est allé avec son conjoint et me l’a recommandé tout en ayant certaines restrictions. Un restaurant apporter votre vin est toujours apprécié surtout si les prix ne sont pas ‘boosté’ pour compenser le manque à gagner. Il y a des choix à la carte et quelques choix de combinés mais limité à une entrée et au plat principal. C’est bien mais, si un café était inclus ce serait mieux. Mon conjoint a donc pris le combiné ‘soupe légumes + poulet/légumes sur nouilles croustillantes’ et il s’est ajouté du menu à la carte un ‘rouleau impérial ‘. Moi j’ai choisi à la carte une soupe tonkinoise, 1 rouleau impérial, 1 plat principal de poulet au cari. J’aurais aimé essayer une entrée de ´crevettes tempura’ mais il y en avait pas et donc à la suggestion de notre serveuse, j’ai pris une entrée de 3 crevettes royales. Pour la soupe, que ce soit aux légumes ou tonkinoise le goût du bouillon était le même pour les deux. FADE. Quelquefois on peut trouver un goût de citronnelle ou d’une autre épice mais dans le cas présent, il n'y avait rien pour rehausser le goût du bouillon. J’ai du ajouter du sel et de la sauce Sriracha. Les crevettes royales, que dire!! C’était des crevettes avec une panure qui me rappelait les pâtés impériaux. Nous étions d'accord tous les deux de ne pas recommander ce plat. Le rouleau impérial. OMG!!! je crois que c’était le PIRE rouleau que j’ai mangé de ma vie. Était-ce dû aux aliments a l’intérieur, l’huile utilisée, la panure épaisse et collante ou l’ensemble qui donnait un goût de vieux. Tout ce que je sais est que nous avons goûtés et avons détestés. J’ai laissé le mien dans mon plat en espérant que ma serveuse me demanderait ce qu’il en était mais cela n’a pas été le cas. Il semble y avoir un consensus. Les serveurs(ses) prennent la commande, apportent les plats, débarrassent les plats et nettoient la table. Le travail est fait et cela semble fonctionner. Pourquoi poser des questions?? En fait, cela est une lacune dans ce resto. Le service est bien. Planifiez à la seconde près. On niaise pas avec le puck comme on dit. Bon, pour les bons points. L’atmosphère intime, une musique d’ambiance qui n’était pas asiatique et les plats principaux. J’ai beaucoup aimé mon poulet au cari servi sur vermicelles. Mon conjoint a aussi apprécié son poulet légumes. Nous avons déjà mangés de meilleurs plats comme ceux-ci dans d'autres restos mais il était bien. Dans l’ensemble l’expérience a bien été mais je n’y retournerais pas sauf pour commander que des plats principaux pour emporter.
