Me and my friend decided to try something different, heard a lot about tapas and we were intrigued. The food was overcooked and dry, tried 5 things from the menu. One was palatable the eggplant stack. The sticky short ribs with cornbread was dry with no flavor. I couldn't tell the cornbread was cornbread. Everything else was dusted heavily with Cajun powder and no real flavors came through. The wait staff didn't check in on us and the glasses and area was dirty. Very disappointing experience we end up going to another place for dessert and coffee.

Went for dinner to try out new place that we just heard about, The District. Arriving we said ok looks alright, and sat down. Waitress came over to explain how menu works and we thought ok let’s try the 6 Tapas for 50. Well I can’t tell you enough how delicious everything was and the flavour was unbelievable. As sceptical as we were at the beginning I’m telling you I cannot wait to go back, you will not be disappointed and I am surprised it wasn’t lined up down the street. . We were very excited we got to meet the owner who is also the chef. Such a nice guy. This to me as a diamond in the rough and just go one time to try it you will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a great night.

Girlfriend ordered 2 dishes from skip the dishes, so all in with tip and delivery over $60, and they were both far too spicy. Been over half an hour and can still taste spice burning my mouth from only a few bites. Both dishes went in the garbage. Can't afford to throw away money like this. All these new trendy expensive places opening up downtown need to step it up. Not the first time we've tried something new and gotten burned, no pun intended.

This place is amazing !! First off all the food is fantastic, the chef is awesome and the staff and the hospitality is the best I’ve ever had in my life honestly. The girl who was working with the blonde hair and hat literally drove her own car all the way to my house for our missing items. Not only did she do that but she put an extra dessert in the bag which was delicious and savoury. This is the best hospitality ever genuinely good people and delicious food I recommend this place to everyone.

We made a reservation for a birthday party of 20. They was 1 server assigned to us. Ordering drinks it took at least 20 mins for it to arrive. Everyone ordered there food . We ordered another round waiting still over 20 mins. The food came out very staggered. a lot of the food was different than what we ordered or some of our tapas was missing. Took a very long time to get our bills. The food was amazing You could tell me where short staffed that day. Id like to try again but with less people

We went in just to have a drink initially while we waited for a table at another restaurant. After looking at the tapas menu, we decided to stay and eat. I'm glad we did! This was a delicious and creative menu with fantastic large tapas servings. Wednesday night is $5 house wine from Konzelman. All in all, my sister and I walked out stuffed! Definitely recommend this one. Great service too!

So I wanted to try something different so I ordered from here which had great reviews. I ordered steak, mash potatoes and vegetables. What I got was a fatty piece of steak, and mash potatoes with lettuce and they were mixed together. So disgusting !

There was an issue but the owner took care of it immediately. I must say he did not disappoint! The steak was by far the best I have ever had, I am truly impressed with the customer service and the quality of food here. I'd HIGHLY recommend this place. Found my new go to place for steak and wings!

Very disappointing overall. Lobster Mac and Cheese clearly had no lobster, instead it was filled with imitation crab. I called over the waitress after looking thoroughly and finding not one piece. The waitress immediately got defensive claiming I didn’t know what imitation crab looked like and that it was fresh lobster cut into chunks. As seen in the images there is no way anyone can claim that is crab. When I asked to speak to a manager and get this item taken off the bill as I was not going to keep arguing, the waitress claimed there was nothing she could do. No manager ever came over and nor was this item taken off our bill.

Overall disappointed - food mostly tasted fine but the tapas were insanely over priced for the portions (even when compared to tapas places downtown Toronto). Server was wonderful though.

An awesome experience. Decided to try someplace new. Although they were out of the rib/wing combo dinner the chef put together an amazing tapas selection. Each item was delicious. The Korean Cauliflower bites and the steak fries were really delicious. And the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake was a real hit. Can’t wait to try more from the menu!

FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! The cheese ravioli was insane and this spinach dip is something I wish i could have a whole container of at home lol, it would taste amazing on a quesadilla!! Service is also very prompt and the gals working are so sweet and attentive, I loved the energy in the place. I do recommend you make a reservation so you get a better table! Only thing that turns me off about this place is the very high prices :( but the food quality makes it justifiable.

Ate here yesterday. We sat out on the patio given the whole Corona-virus situation and the service was amazing. Food was also amazing and fair priced. I will definitely be back. The Halloumi Fries and Sesame Cauliflower were stellar. Same with the Chicken & Waffle, Chimi Steak Frites, and Bruschetta.

Wow! Tried the District for lunch today. The tapas we tried were all amazing! I wished I had taken some Pics of the yummy dishes we shared. Steak and frites, chicken & waffle, avocado, feta bruschetta and a caprese salad with halloumi cheese. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. My husband and I went and it was hit or miss with the food. The drinks were awesome!! I got the strawberry rhubarb mule.. It's great! He tried a couple other drinks, they were good. We had a bunch of the tapas. Some were a total miss, but the sticky beef rib was amazing! And the lobster Mac and Cheese was good, lots of lobster! The service was a bit off, waited a very long time for our drinks, server was a bit rusty, maybe knocking off the covid slumber. We will be back for sure, it's worth a try!

Kelly is absolutely delightful. Even if I hated the food, which is the furthest from the truth, I'd still come to be served by her. But the tapas are FIRE and best part, it's the only place in Niagara that has DAILY tapas. No fighting for tables only on specific days my friends. They're there to appease you daily. Thursdays is 6 tapas for 45$ which is beyond filling.

Not only the food was amazing, but the service, the music and the vibe was just perfect for my taste. The date night special on Tuesdays is the perfect amount of food and the price is just right! I brought my girlfriend here for tapas. It was a very terrible experience due to the way her stomach reacted to the food. Our server was great but the quality of the food was very poor. I will not be recommending this restaurant.

This was our first experience at The District Tapas, and likely our last. My husband and I were part of a group. The food here is okay. The service was horrible. Our table ordered some tapas, the apple and Brie grilled cheese was very good, so was the mango salad, beef dip and avocado bruschetta. Beef ravioli were okay and lobster Mac and cheese had no lobster. My husband asked for a condiment 4 times and the waitress just never brought it. The 4th time we asked she apologized and even commented on how many times we had to ask her but she still didn’t bring it. We had ordered 2 more tapas that just never showed up and the waitress just forgot when we asked about them she asked if we still wanted them!!!The beer on tap was rancid and my husband had to order a bottle of beer 3 times before she actually brought it. Then we paid our bill by card, and the waitress randomly handed my husband some cash, which happened to be the change that our friends at the table were waiting on from their bill. Our friend ordered the same drink 3 times and every time the drink arrived looking different than the last time, and the last one the glass was only half full lol. This was by far the worst service we’ve had in a long time. The waitress was completely clueless, and this must have been her first night ever working a restaurant. We frequent many restaurants and bars and like to support the independently owned businesses in this area. However I wouldn’t waste money here again. Unfortunately the service totally ruined the experience. Music and atmosphere were good though.

Everything about this place is fantastic!! The service was top notch, the drink selection was fantastic and very reasonably priced, and the food was to die for. We couldn’t make up our minds, so we told our server to surprise us, and it did not disappoint!! Every single tapa that we had was absolutely delicious. I really wanted to like this place, atmosphere was cool and the service was good. Our waitress was gave us extra pita to take home with our unfinished dip. But the food here was just so terrible. I usually don't give local businesses bad reviews but I can't understand why this restaurant has 4.5 stars. The lobster and crab mac & cheese had little to no meat and was smothered in bland bread crumbs. It really tasted like the generic mac & cheese they would serve at a hospital or at a nursing home. The crispy pork ribs were greasy and flavorless, the spinach dip was all cheese and no spinach, the cheesecake was sickly-sweet and practically inedible. I could go on. My wife and I ordered about 7 items in total and only the avacado bruschetta was enjoyable. This place was just a big waste of time and money.

Very enjoyable experience; came with 3 other people and ordered 9 Tapas. Service was very friendly and prices were great! Came out to around $30 a person which was fantastic. Big hits at our table were the Avocado Bruschetta, the Lobster & Chorizo Stuffed Peppers and Chimi Steak Fries. My personal favourite was the Lobster Mac and the Spinach Dip. All in all, if you've got a group of friends looking to share a bunch of food and socialize, The District is a great place to do it!
