I ordered take out today from Sahla Thai. The food was excellent and hot and fresh. It was flavourful and I was pleased with the dish. I chose the pad thai an old favourite. I would say its the best in the area, maybe in Canada.

We stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. We used to order from here quite often, so it has a bit of nostalgia for us. Could pass up on the opportunity when we were in the area. The food quality was great, as per usual. One of us will usually order a Pad Thai.Be very careful with the spice levels. They can get pretty extreme from 3 to 5. If you dont like your food spicey, just order a level 1 or 2 max.

I love Sahla Thai!! I have been going here for over a decade for Thai food and have never been disappointed. I now live 6 hours away but every time I'm in town, I always order something. My favourites our pineapple fried rice, pad Thai (classic), their shared appetizer platter and crab Rangoon. I recently ordered crab Rangoon on the phone on my last trip there, picked it up and everything went smoothly. Staff are friendly and it tasted amazing as usual. I do look forward to dining in soon. There is parking behind the restaurant and the prices are reasonable. Always my favourite Thai place, even though I live so far away now. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Sala Thai for about 20 years. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the food is unbelievable! I highly recommend the Crazy Chicken for a main course and the crab rangoon as an appetizer. They offer their food to you on a heat scale of 1 to 5. Five being the hottest one being mild. If you are not accustomed to spicy food I do not recommend going above 3. I have been asking them for the recipe for that chicken for decades and they'll never give you the secret to that sauce. This of course is one of the reasons I keep coming back!

This place is a hidden gem , not much to look at from the outside but the decor is very authentic. If you come with a group ask for a table upstairs where you can sit on mats and lounge while you eat . The food is so good you 'll have to come more then once to enjoy everything on the menu. The Gang dang beef(red curry ) is our fav and the pad Thai is hard to pass up . Enjoy! But don't tell too many people ...

Very authentic and tasty Thailand food. I really enjoy this restaurant. The atmosphere and very nice people. They have a regular tables and also upstairs they have the real Thailand set up for eating on the floor tables. I will come soon to try upstairs. I really recommend this place if you want to enjoy a nice Thailand food.

We ordered take out from here today. I found it to be pretty pricey for food that was just ok. The one item we ordered was fresh shrimp rolls and you only get 2 for $7.95 !! I got the pad thai...it was kind of dry. Not much flavour...no limes or anything. One of the dishes we ordered, I asked for no peanuts or bean sprouts but there were still peanuts. On top of it all I have been having bathroom issues ???? and my stomach is upset. Rather disappointed for the amount of money I spent. Spicy Thai is way better....the only reason we went here instead was because they were closed.

Quiet at 5 pm on a Wednesday and service was quick, friendly and un-intrusive. Other people seemed to be enjoying their meals. They have some booths and low walls help keep noise down so ambience is quietly relaxing. Now for the food. Fantastic tome kha gai soup (hot & sour chicken soup with lemongrass and coconut milk). Maybe the best I’ve had. I chose 4 ???? out of 5 for heat. Plenty hot but still flavourful: lots of chicken, mushrooms and veggies. Most other places I’ve been had less meat. Large entrees. You should have enough for 4 people to share a few plates and they give you enough steamed rice for $4. I got small soup, an entree (paradise beef) and rice. It was twice what I normally eat so half went home with me for a couple more meals. My friend liked the special chicken. Lots of meat in both entrees. Beef was lean, tender and tasty. 4.5* I’d have given 5* but seemed like vegetables were a bit old (maybe due to dry weather here?). Still, highly recommended.

Sahla Thai is back!!!! A few years ago in my opinion they dropped the ball on quality control. Took the family out for my wife's birthday after getting take out a few weeks before and quality issues have been resolved. As always a great atmosphere and awesome staff! A must for anyone craving Thai.

The food was great and had lots of different dishes to choose from, with the option of spice from level 1 to 5 for your own preferenceof heat. Took the wife and kids and had a great time. Lots of cool wood carved decor throughout the whole restaurant and even had a little goldfish pond that my 2yr old daughter couldn't get enough of. This restaurant had a great ambiance and we all had a great dinning experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Thai eatery.

I placed an order for pick up this evening and I one hundred percent asked the girl for fresh chicken spring rolls and Pad Thai . The delivery was then delivered and paid for and I when I opened the container the fresh spring rolls had shrimp in them. I then called the store and simply said that I was given the wrong order the girl on the phone which was the same one who took my order told me I did not order chicken in the spring rolls but shrimp which I know I said no to shrimp . She then continued to say that they never put chicken in them but Infact I have eaten at this restaurant before and they put chicken in them for me. Then proceeded to tell me because they were closing they could not do anything for me this evening but I can come in tomorrow and they will do something but I have to bring the rolls with me . The lady on the phone for the longest time was not willing to do anything for me and kept telling me I was wrong and she was right , and when I asked for a manager she said they had left for the night . I am very unimpressed and unsatisfied. Definitely would not recommend there delivery serves and they are definitely in need of better customer service skills !!!

Great food, fast service, decent price. You can customize your order to be spiced to your liking, from a zero, mild, to a 5, extreme heat. But while ordering, you should heed the server's warnings. A 5 is extremely spicy.

I've been here for lunch and dinner. The food was delicious. I've had the Pad thai (dinner and lunc), crazy chicken (lunch), and fire chicken (lunch). I would recommend all of them. It's nice you can choose how spicy you want your dish to be. The service was pretty good too and the food came on time. Only minus for me so far is that the dinner main dishes don't come with rice (you have to order extra).

For St. Catharines this restaurant is pretty good. Some of the flavours are a bit off and the prices are a bit high for what it is. The one thing they really have going for them is their atmosphere. The decor is beautiful and the staff are pleasant.

It's consistently great, and the ability to change spice levels on entrées makes this a perfect place for groups with varying spice tolerances. We travel to eat here a few times a year. While not all dishes are suitable for our taste buds, we've found a dozen or so that we routinely rotate through. The pad thai and curry chicken are other worldly... and worth the trip in every time. The service and atmosphere are fitting for the genre. After finishing my visit to a friend in St Catharine, I got a quick lunch before leaving back to toronto. Based on the most mentioned dish on reviews, I ordered the lunch special pad thai with tom yam soup. Food came quick and smelled good. The soup tasted delicious. However, the pad thai was too sweet, every bite was like having a candy bomb or the shell of the creme brulee (that kind of sweetness), so I was only able to finish the shrimp and chicken. Also, part of the noodles was still raw, hard to chew or even inedible. Service is okay, the waiter checked on me to see everything was good but left with no response after I complained it was too sweet. It took me around 10 min to get the machine after I got the bill even though the restaurant was not busy around 12. It's a hit or miss. I don't think I would come back again.

I thought the food here was very good. I've never been big into Thai food, but I noticed lots of authentic dishes on the menu, each lots of spice and flavour. The papaya salad surprisingly was my favourite and was fantastic. Unfortunately, the service was somewhat slow, and did not make many stops at our table. I would've appreciated more frequent water refills and our plates to be taken sooner. The food was great though, and that's what matters.

The food is probably 4 star. Really good... in taste. However, just when we finished eating, a 1/2" to 3/4" insect crawled out from under one of our dinner party's plate across the table, and we're about 95% sure it was a cockroach. I hope it wasn't a cockroach... but we probably won't go back. :x

I honestly just love this restaurant. I have been a returning customer many times and will continue. The menu is vast with pretty much every Thai dish you can think of. As always, very friendly staff. I would also like to highlight how every time I go on a busy night, the kitchen seams to still be extremely quick. This is a must try Authentic Thai restaurant.

Absolutely dreadful! If 0 stars was possible I would've picked that. Ordered sweet and sour pork, the pork was rubbery and the sauce tasted like tomatoe soup. Would not recommend if you have taste buds. Also it is way overpriced for the quality you get.

I ordered the chicken pad thai, the spice level was as asked but the dish itself consisted nothing but noodles and a few pieces of chicken. No bean sprouts on other substance, it was highly disappointing. Was not worth the trip I made from the falls to pick up my order. Will order from my usual thai place in the falls next time.

We are very lucky to have this beautiful Thai restaurant. The decor is impressive with its large carved elephants. The food is some of the best Thai food you can find You can order your spice level from one to five. I like spicy but 2 is the level I can handle depending on the cook I love the burning shrimp and then get white rice to use up the sauce.

Our waitress didn't write our orders down which seemed impressive at first but she brought one of the entrees with chicken instead of shrimp. When our friends told her she said "Oh I thought I heard chicken. I can replace it but the kitchen is backed up so it will be awhile. Well we didn't want to wait so they ate it. It's best to write the order down and repeat it back so guests get what they ordered

Sometimes the rush is a but more than the number of staff Jay be prepared for, but even in a lunch time crunch, a small group was able to get in and out without being late and having enough time to clear our plates.

One of the best Thai restaurant in St Catharines. A great selection of dishes that have never dissapointed. As is normal for a Thai restaurant you can choose the spice level of each dish. I highly recommend the coconut ice cream and fried banana for dessert.

I ordered delivery from this place last week and had a HORRIBLE experience... first of all the food is SO EXPENSIVE and the spring rolls are very bland! Also, I ordered a completely vegan dish and told the person I have a severe fish allergy so none of my stuff can touch fish. It showed up, I had three bites and had to go to the hospital and throw all of the food out. Before I left for the hospital I called and told them what was happening and instead of apologizing or offering us a refund they said "wow, that's weird. Well I told the kitchen staff about the allergy so...." and that was it. I was so upset, they didn't seem to care at all that they had made a serious mistake. Please ORDER FROM SPICY THAI instead!!!! They are so good, affordable and great with allergies!

We ordered a curry, pad Thai, and mixed drink. The curry was delicious, the pad Thai was pretty lack lustre. Ordered a Jack Daniels and Diet Coke, JD is $6 on the menu, when we got the bill the drink was priced at $7.95. When we questioned why there was a $1.95 discrepancy we were told when you add a splash of soda it becomes a cocktail. So essentially if you want a shot of alcohol look at the list price and if you want a drink assume they will take your first born child to dilute it.

Delicious foods with friendly staffs. I ordered the chicken satay (I was impressed with the way to be served that you are able to keep your food warm with a mini grill) and Pad Thai. They were really tasty. A bonus point is the environment. I love the way they decorate their restaurant. Really unique! I probably will go back again. Highly recommend!

Food: Personally, their price is quite high, but food quality is not good at all. I tried magic shrimp, red curry, beef(appetizer), sahla special soup, and pineapple fried rice. It was nice experience, but Magic shrimp was too sweet and sour, too much sauce, and only few shrimp on their even it was tiger shrimp(size was just medium). Half was vegetable ans only few shrimps, but price is high. Beef for appetizer tastes like burn. Service: pool customer service. It was very busy night, so I undertand that.. but they it was long time to take an order, didn't ask me what I want to drink, and forgot to give me a plastic bag for container.

Went here not too long ago and I can confidently say that my first visit will be my last visit. I believe I got the roasted duck and some thai rolls. The roasted duck was super rubbery and the thai rolls were cold and tasteless. The atmosphere was nice but the food was definitely disappointing.

Stopped here on our way from Toronto to Niagara. It was about 20 minutes away from Niagara Falls, so it would be a great option if you're staying near a Niagara Falls and looking to go out for dinner or lunch. It's less than 10 minutes from the Premium outlets. Food was great! The crazy chicken was in a house special sauce, which was sweet and tangy and adjusted to your preferred spicy level. The spring rolls seemed to be freshly house made and not the frozen kind, it was crispy and flavourful. The design of the restaurant is gorgeous with authentic Thai woodwork. Great place for a casual or upscale lunch or dinner. Prices were reasonable and parking was easy enough to find. I parked on the street at a price of $1.50 per hour. But there seemed to be a lot behind the restaurant that I noticed afterwards, so call ahead to see if they do offer free parking.

I was so disappointed in my experience. We asked the restaurant to substitute the shrimp because of an allergy which they stated that they could do. Unfortunately, we did not realize that the restaurant failed to follow instructions and my friend suffered an allergic reaction. Not to mention that the food was inedible due to a very strong smell. Overall it was a really bad experience.

The food was hardly edible! The Patah was too sweet and made with ketchup. The chicken was tough and grizzly. We couldn't finish eating what was in our plates and didn't take anything home which we always do at other Thai restaurant. I believe the food was leftovers from the noonhour. We love Thai food but this was the worst. Needless to say I didn't leave a tip.
