Last time I was here I was asked by security to leave, even though I hadn't done anything out of the ordinary. He was a nice guy, just doing his job. He told me the bartenders asked him to remove me. The only reason I can think of was I was ordering a water with each of my drinks (my way of avoiding a hangover) and the ladies at the bar were tired of handing out water because its free, even though I was tipping on the alcohol. Whatever, it smells like sweat and vomit there most of the time. Same place two years ago I saw a 200 pound bouncer punch a 120 pound female so hard she fell unconsious right onto the pavement. Needless to say, Mansion house is a shitshow and you would be better off somewhere else.

The owner is so nice and I spoke to him personally on the phone. However the security there is very disrespectful and they don’t know how to handle situations in a civilized manner. We travelled 2 hours away to spend time with friends for the weekend and we didn’t even get in. Please keep in mind, we are of age. We are so disappointed in the security.

Place is nice, music could be better, they only support main stream music, and bouncers who rips off students who is in a fix budget. How in heavens names are you letting bouncers take money from people without a legal reason and we can’t do anything cause “the bouncer is always right” ... you guys treat US students like animals, as we have a lot of money or as if we didn’t had to pay off a bunch of money for textbooks, without us you’ll be out of business.. the music is meant only for people who enjoys techno and drugs. You guys would have more bad reviews if the club goers didn’t drink a lot and actually had people remember their night.

Usually a nice place to go, but recently their service is getting scummy. We arrived later in the night and had to wait in line which is normal and fine. However after an hour of waiting one of our friends was let in and had to pay a $20 cover before the bouncers told the rest of us we couldn't get in because they were at capacity. They continued to let people in around us and would not refund our friend who already paid when he asked them. Overall a bad experience when any other bar downtown would let you in for free on a Saturday night. Not worth the money or time to be screwed around with.

Chicken was absolutely flavorless, they used bagged fries, the chicken sandwich was impossible to eat and burnt on some area, the bun was soggy and falling apart. 66 dollars and I'm ordering food from somewhere else for dinner, what a rip.

The mansion house is a great downtown location to grab a drink after work. I know they often have live bands playing in the evening and it gets louder and busier later in the night. A great bar overall. I really like the decor and the woodwork inside.

This place is fun, a younger crowd though I'd say 19-24 years old. The outdoor area is packed in the summer and everyone is dancing and having a good time. However, last time I was here this brunette bartender was extremely rude to me and my friends at the bar inside. She was miserable, we watched her not put any alcohol in my drink and she yelled at me for no apparent reason. I was never confrontational with this girl, but she clearly does not understand customer service... So, I asked to use a debit card and the bartender responded "we're not taking credit cards right now" I said ok, even though I had just seen someone use a card. So, I mentioned that I had just seen someone using a card. She said that the person whom had used the card was "a friend of the owner, that's why he's allowed" then she continued to over react and yell at me and tell me to "never come back to her bar again" but I have no problem with that... I responded and asked her not to yell at me because I had not done anything wrong. I can say that it was not a great experience for my first bar in Canada. I was so appalled that someone could be this rude... If you can't respect customers then you should not be in the service industry.

Went there for the first time. Was told it wasn't fantastic but I ended up having a great time! The beverages were a little on the expensive side (I'm from a country community) but were otherwise great. The servers were prompt and the bottle service was amazing! My group and I had a great time, especially since it's labour day weekend and we tried going to other clubs but they were closed.

Dropped in for lunch with co-workers. Service was friendly & quick. The food (hamburgers and a sandwich) came in generous portions and was tasty. Our first impression upon entering the restaurant wasn't great as we all noticed a smell of stale beer and what seemed to be cigarette smoke but the food and service made up for it.

The bar is good once your in, but they hold the line quite a lot to make it seem like it's busy. Prices are average for a bar , but I wouldn't recommend doing here on a weekend. It's a waste of time

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Experienced the worst stomach ache of my life here, worse than montezumas revenge. The owner Pete hires any dirt bag he can find without having cook paperwork. The kitchen and bar are infested with cockroaches that are visible while eating your meal. Too bad the owner Pete didn't spend more time at his bar rather than taking new women out every night and going skiing if you know what I mean (putting too much white stuff up his nose with women of the night). Just brutal, this place should be levelled so no one else gets sick.

It's okay. You'll really like it if you're into live bands and top 40 kind of music. They have a nice roof section. There's a variety of music on the patio/deck area which is always welcome. But every single time I go there it smells like old beer and sweat dude. Doesn't matter the time. It always smells like that.

Absolutely horrible experience the bouncers will scream and swear at you while you’re trying to just go to the bathroom, one began screaming and swearing yelling that he will kick us out because I was panicking and trying to find my friend who was just wanting to leave. The bouncers here were completely awful and on some power trip. I’ve worked in customer service and dealt with drunk people for 7 years and I’ve never yelled swore or raised my voice at a customer before but the bouncers here love to be completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Horrible experience and will not be coming back. The bouncer particularly awful was a tall white man with a stubble, found later outside smoking with guests. Horrible and should be fired.

Stacy is the best sever. I have tried a few things there and the burger is the bomb. It was JUST this side of medium. My friends said I made out with the burger. I would recommend to anyone going downtown for a bite to stop by. (The beer was good too ) Great service very friendly! A must try downtown St.. Catharines.

Security Staff here is awful!! Terrible service and accommodation! I brought my friends from out of town for the night life of the bar. As expected it was busy which wasn't the issue. I made it to the front and paid my expensive cover to enter. As soon as I got in my friends were refused entry as the facility has "reached capacity". However multiple people continued to enter. I explained the situation that I am here with my friends and was only interested in staying if my friends could join so I asked for a refund to leave with them immediately. I was refused the refund and was promised that my friends would at some point be admitted. However, I wasted an hour of my time waiting for my friends and they still were never admitted. I highly recommend to not waste your money here!
