This is a very clean restaurant with the worst greek food in town. If you like your souvlaki from a seam table made six hours before you arrived then George's greek village is the place for you. The food came out minutes after we ordered it. The chicken was luke warm at best, the tzatziki was runny, and tomatoes were almost none existent. The fries were over cooked in bad oil and were super greasy. Maybe the chef, who we saw smoking in the parking lot when we're arrived should take more pride in his food. Also, the place is covered in cameras like the owner sits and watches remotely. I highly recommend you go to the outlet's food court if your hungry and in St. Catherine's. The only thing you will miss is the view.

Had a small party this past weekend. Food was great as usual and it all came at the same time. All H&S protocols followed. Everyone said the food was great. It was our first time dining in George's. We were just gonna go to a typical breakfast place but got stuck at the thorold bridge so on our detour we noticed George's and stopped there. It was absolutely wonderful.

We had lunch here recently on the patio and it was excellent. My wife had the chicken souvlaki wrap with Greek salad and I had the pork souvlaki wrap with Greek salad and both were very good and ample portions. I also had the grilled octopus for an appetizer which was very good as well and it was my first time trying octopus. The service was great and the view very good as well. We will go back.

Best gem when visiting Niagara region but definitely wouldn't recommend the gyro dinner though it's one of the least flavourful item on their menu. But 5/5 recommend for everything else.

Incredible food. Nice outside patio right on the canal, you can watch the freighters transit the canal up to the locks. Food and service were good with reasonable prices. Theodore my waiter was very helpful and informative and knows his stuff when recommending meals to choose. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Overall great food. One star off as the meat was a bit on the dry side. Service was fast and accommodating and the view on the balcony is phenomenal. Bonus points on the VIP motorcycle parking spot.

We were celebrating my husband's birthday and were so looking forward to sitting on the patio to enjoy Greek food. We drove from Stoney creek and I made a reservation for 7 pm indoors since the patio is 1st come 1st served. Well when we arrived, the place was so busy so we had to sit indoors. Disappointed about that however the food was delicious. I guess you have to either go later or wait 45 minutes to sit outside on a beautiful day, the service was good and they gave us a nice slice of baklava for dessert to celebrate his birthday.

Great food 5/5. Just wish the bakalava was served warm. Garlic bread is bomb!! Not the best service seemed rude (3/5). They were rushing to serve. We wanted to move into the dining room from the patio half way through our meal because of the mosquitos and said no and instead pack our food and leave. Somehow they agreed to move us in the dining room “making it seem they went out of their way. And both the servers weren’t the best.

Everything is lovely about this place - view, ambiance, food, service, people. It was a perfect date. We had: 3 Dip Platter as appetizer - hot pita chips served with 3 beautiful dip, so flavourful I had the dips with my mains after we finished the chips (I couldn’t let it go); Complimentary salad and garlic bread were fresh and nice; Dinner we had Chicken from the Village and Spanakopita Dinner - both recommended by our lovely host and both of them - super flavourful, each element on the dinner plate was so delicious and complete. Thank you for the lovely food and evening.

Fun appetisers!! Reasonably priced. My wife and I did the classic “get two apps and one main” in order to try more of the menu. The grape leaf meat things (starts with a D) were lots of fun. Big patio for all you anti- covid vaxx people too.

- had lunch on the patio with a friend and the restaurant had great ambiance! it was nice sitting right by the water with subtle greek type instrumental music playing in the background - drinks were also really cheap and great value for the price; got the screwdriver and caesar - ate the chicken souvlaki pita; large portions for the price and well marinated - overall, highly recommend to anyone visiting the area

They have a very nice location with cool views of the canal. We were lucky enough to see two massive ships go by as the bridge opens. But what really made our visit memorable is the delicious lamb dinner. By far, one of the best I've had. The portions are generous and the staff is great. Will definitely visit again ☺

4.5 star : great family owned local restaurant.. Four star food but I will add 1/2 a star extra for their friendly service and location. Kids menu starting at 5.99 (super reasonable ) with lots of choices . As soon as you place order you are served with fresh garlic bread . We ordered their best selling dish chicken from the village and mixed grilled meat , I am good eater but couldn't finish .... Portions are HUGE !!!! And delicious Few local and international beers on tap with decent selection of wine and cocktail #supportlocalrestaurant

This restaurant is a hidden gem! I've always passed by the place and never really took my attention to visit. But i decided to give it a try and i have to come back! Staff was friendly and quick, the place is comfortable and deffinitely family friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating, outdoors overlooking the river and bridge. Pricing for the food is perfect, the amount and quality of food is absolutely justified. TL;DR Great place, perfect food pricing

Had a birthday dinner at this place tonight and received the worst service. We had a 6 pm reservation and we waited over an hour and a half for our food. This was my first time at this place and the WORST SERVICE EVER experienced. Complaining really didn't do anything as there was no compensation and they even had the nerve to add in the tip onto the bill which wasn't deserved and all 3 bills were WRONG to top it off. What a disgrace. We were a party big 11 and will NEVER be back. Beware of this place.

I've only had the lemon rice soup, togo, so far. The soup is so good, it reminds me of one of my favorite Greek restaurants in Buffalo where I grew up. You can be sure that I will be exploring the menu at this place! Situated under the skyway and next to a canal there are views in every direction. Definitely putting this place on my map! ????

Authentic Greek food. Great variety in the menu, the saganaki flaming cheese is an absolute must try. Portions are large, almost always leaving leftovers for home. Everything is delicious and service is great. Also great views of the canal with the occasional passing ship.

The atmosphere at George's Greek Village is lively and lovely. It's the perfect place for a romantic dinner, a casual date night, or just a simple outing with friends and family. Shared a few delicious appetizers with my lady including a seafood salad which featured some octopus & shrimp in a flavourful marinade. The dinner portions are filling and authentic! The staff are super friendly, even thought we met the legend himself, but our waiter was happy to share the same name with George. If you're gonna go Greek... George's is the way to go! On a side note, if you're a ship enthusiast and enjoy the boats passing by like myself, this place is for you! Bon Appetit!

WOW! Best Greek food I’ve ever had! We weren’t planning on stopping for dinner after our weekend in Niagara, but after hitting a driving range nearby, we were directed to go over a small older bridge instead of backtracking to go over the Skyway. At the end of this bridge was the cutest restaurant resting on the side of the river that just called out to us “Eat Here!”, so we pulled in. Wow what a cute place! We got seated on the all season patio right next to the river, and our server was excellent. We had the Saganaki table-side flambéd cheese as a starter and wowow it was so delicious! For entrees we had the gyro platter and the mousaka, both were amazing and huge portions! Thanks for a great time and great food! I hope to come back next time I’m in the area!

Supper was amazing! The staff were super friendly and helpful! We are from out of town and stumbled on to this local restaurant while watching the big laker boats using the welland canal! It is off the tourist areas but well worth the drive!

Beautiful location very nice looking restaurant but unfortunately we were greeted by a rather rude server. She was obviously in a rush to get out of there or just has a bad attitude in general (restaurant was empty). We ordered our apps and good everything was very well done very fresh loved the roasted potato and the prices were also reasonable. Overall food is a 5 star, service needs to be worked on

GOOD FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, HOSTESS HAD AN ATTITUDE. My friend and I were there Saturday, September 18th at around 12:35. My friend had been there before but not myself. We were greeted by the Hostess and after all info regarding masking up was mentioned by her we were taken to our seats. We asked if seats were available on the patio, she said no that she couldn’t move us anyway because of protocol and that staff weren’t allowed to do that. In all the restaurants we’ve been, even since places are reopening, we never heard that. Anyway our waitress came to our table, introduced herself, Emma, she was great, very personable, attentive and sweet. I left the table for a minute, came back, sat down and Emma asked if we’d like to move to another table where we had a view of the Canal. Hmm the hostess said she can’t move us because of protocol and Emma did. I ordered the Calamari dinner and it was very good. My friend ordered a wrap she like it also. After paying for dinner we had our masks in hand. We got to where the Hostess greets patrons and before we could apologize for forgetting to put our masks on she was quite rude. She spoke loud enough that other patrons could hear her. “You forgot to put your masks on!” Gave us a look. We apologized quick enough. Needless to say we weren’t impressed. She’s not suitable as a Hostess with her attitude. Definitely won’t be back.

Excellent food and a great place overlooking the canal to see huge ships coming in. I would recommend it for first dates anniversaries and just a great place for authentic Greek meals. Excellent take out 4 of us ate for around 66.00 nice staff, covid safe.

This has got to be one of the best greek resturants I have eaten at in this area. While the portions are somewhat controlled, the taste is incredible. Great quality of good and taste! Also, it is in a nice little area. You can drive down the street and eat beside the water. Highly recommend

The Food is good, but really for the price it is not good quality for the portions you are paying for.. Very expensive for perhaps a spit of pork/three potatoes, they are large and some rice..The Souvalki, should be large portions, that is the traditional Greek portion. And the waitress are very covid mask, enforcers. So if you don't like to wear a mask and you don't like being harassed would not got there. I don't understand as by-laws accept exceptions, but come on, to be bullied and forced to wear a mask, is not acceptable. But food is ok, as I mentioned portions are very little for the price. We had expectations to come back with a large family members for a milestone birthday but due to portion and not consideration due to masks...this was the deal breaker and not going back. City- by-laws if obeyed properly do allow for exceptions and not forceable. So that is disappointing that they feel to enforce a 'by-law' of a covering that is really questionable to protect.. Also the fact that you have to smell and injest the fumes from the cleaning of the tables, is not healthy. I understand you have to clean the tables, but the smell and toxic fumes are not good for ones health. This has got to stop, we are forced to ingest these harsh chemicals prior to eating..this is unaceptable. if this situation is that bad and is that contagious, one wonders about this. The chemicals used to clean the tables really put you off from eating it was very hard to breathe!

Stopped in for lunch waiting for my wife to fly into the local airport. The view alone is worth stopping in, right on the canal. Got to see a couple ships go by. The souvlaki was nice, service was quick and pleasant. Lunch souvlaki was 8.99. Great deal with a salad. Highly recommend a stop.

Extremely nice staff and really delicious food. I sat outside and got to watch boats traverse up and down the river while sipping a beer and eating a gyro. I could have probably eaten the feta by itself as a meal it was so good. Lots of parking and LOTS of seating. Seems like a great spot for large parties. Also serve a wide range of beverages from espresso to tea to beer to liquor and wine. You will find plenty of locals here.

Fell in love with the place. Very good food, delicious and awesome. I am basically an Indian, we use lots and loads of spices in our cooking - especially for meats. Whereas George's cuisine was very mild on spices(comparison to Indian food) but the result was awesome. We tried chicken and lamb kabobs. Main course we had lamb and a vegetarian dish. On top of it, the ambience of sitting at the Patio overlooking the lake was also good. Finally, the service and the waitress were all good. I rate this place 5/5. We will come back again.

Came here couple of times food is always amazing manger she was great server I felt was lost or over whelmed. Didn’t know her drink menu and also she always turned her back and talked while leaving. Didn’t check up on us after apps as calamari was burnt but the manger made eye contact came by got us new ones. Other then that for food and management I gave it a 5 star server should be little more respectful

I found this restaurant thru Google search after day of shopping. Food was excellent. I had no choice but to do take out because I didn't have reservation and would've been hour wait. Their tzatziki is made in house was out of this world. I had a chicken potato with rice. The food was fresh and flavorful. Whenever I'm in the area definitely will go back.

It was great in the summer to pick up an order and drive to one of the parks and enjoy our meal outside. I definitely miss it! We would usually always order the takeout special of meal for 2 that was two chicken souvlaki wraps, Greek salad, bread and 2 drinks. It was really a perfect meal/combo. The food is always top-notch. You wont find better Greek Food in Niagara! Guaranteed. And the prices are incredibly affordable! The last time I went I got dinner Dinner for 2, a shareable appetizer, we both got desserts, and I got an espresso coffee - It came to around $50! Where else are you going to get a dinner like that for cheap?! Not to mention the amazing staff are always super-friendly! I love George's!

Always great food there. They give great portions was just a little dissappointed tonite. We ordered 4 dinners tonite an none of us got tizeki sauce or salad dressing was very dry. What an incredible find. The food was delicious. We tried the grilled octopus and Spanakopita for appetizers. They both exceeded expectations. Entrees where chicken breast with rice and salad and the chicken Slovakia pita with salad. All outstanding, fresh and flavorful. The restaurant itself looks brand spanking new on the inside even though it’s been here for years. Hats off to the owners who really did an excellent job in what looks like a whole fresh paint job and fresh stained wood beams throughout. It felt very authentic and clean. When the bill came, I thought the printer ran out of ink and perhaps the other half was coming? You can’t say anything negative about their prices, because they are extremely reasonable, I can understand why the restaurant was packed on a Wednesday afternoon. Lastly our server, Janine, was terrific on all fronts. Friendly, efficient and overall a pleasure to have as our server. A new Niagara favorite most definitely.
