Ordered the burger (added cheese) and fries, was a good lunch . I would recommend the burger and fries. Table next to us ordered poutine with bacon.(few different topping options). It looked amazing and was a very good portion size , none the less they finished it all. So assume it tasted as good as it looked. I recommend Fiddler's Pour House if your looking for a good place to grab a pint and some food while Downton.

Service was poor had to actually ask for a refill, food took a long time to come out. We ordered buffalo chicken wings and the some of the wings were dry once you get to the center, we also ordered loaded fries and it has taco beef in it that tasted off and was dry making the whole dish have a weird kind of taste.

Decent place to party and have a quick drink but I wouldn't want to spend my whole night here. ~Didnt see too much, went right to the back- Getting there at midnight; They didnt have a drink menu, food and drinks take a decent wait but nice staff, chilly open patio but good for the fact that you can walk out and have a smoke if you want anytime. Theyre pretty relaxed with the covid rules if youre on the patio. Mixed scene of young and middle aged people, rowdy-ish crowd. Decent place overall.

They over charged me and 3 of the people I was with. We didn’t notice till we had already left the bar and they never gave us recipts. My bill was supposed to be 37$ and it was 58$ they refused to refund the money they added to my bill or my friends. Absolutely garbage establishment and my friends and I will never be back.

Happened in on a very hot Canada Day. Had the Fish 'n Chips and traditional Poutine. Both dishes were satisfying pub style comfort food. Nice beer selection. One girl running the bar and serving tables. She did a fantastic job, checked on us often, and was very friendly. Would definitely return for a pint!

Hidden gem. About half the menu is or can be made vegan, the vegans in my party said it was among the best vegan food in the area. Porchetta sandwich and fish'n'chips were excellent too. Good selection of brews on tap including a few somewhat rare crafts. Service was terrific -- it suddenly got very busy but servers hustled and kitchen brought food out hot. A new favourite.

Came here a couple months ago ordered two pints of cold frosty Molson Canadian, found the environment is very dirty and some of the people at the bar were overserved and wearing pyjamas.... The head bartender, some tall guy who I think it was also doubling as dish pig washing pots was speaking very loudly and he was dropping excessive amounts of expletives. Acting a little "too cool for school" with his white Nike shoes and puma track suit we settled out bill and left for Rombys, don't think we're ever coming back to this rats nest.

Accomodated a group of 10 on a Friday night with no reservation. Food was decent pub fare. 2 Waitresses ensured our meals were on time, accurate and to our liking. Nice cold pitchers of draft. The vegetarian chili was the best chili I have ever had. I'm not even a vegetarian but it was the best food experience I have ever had. It was perfectly savoury but spicy and just the right consistency, perfect vegetable combination. The toast perfectly accented it and the whole thing honestly just blew my mind. It made all my other good food experiences seem so much lesser. Just jesus who makes chili that good and vegetarian?!?!! Absolute gold service. Love it.

I love the fact that they have a lot of vegan options and they are tasty. The food and service are excellent. Some good craft beers to choose. I have been to a lot of places in Ontario over the years with my friends to try different craft beers and I have to say, this is one place that they truly feel that you have a good experience. Fiddler's Pour House may seem like they are just your local pub but they take pride in their food. One example of this, everything they create on their menu, they make homemade which is very rare for a pub. Another example is they offer a nice loyalty program to their customers. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a casual place with good pub food and drinks, but not too many as my friends and I would like to have a seat. ';)

My best friends and I went to Fiddler’s this past Wednesday and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing food, great atmosphere and excellent staff! In particular, our waitress Sarah was kind, friendly and made our dining experience a 10/10! Lots of delicious vegan options and great drink specials. Would definitely recommend!

I just went in for a quick pint with a friend before the River Lions game and the staff were very friendly and served us quickly. I was surprises that they did not have a wheat beer on tap so I ordered an amber which came is a cognac style glass and was more like a dark beer. I guess that I was just expecting a more traditional style pub with pint glasses and a wider selection to give it 5 stars. Overall still a decent place to go though.

Not sold on their service. After coming several times and having a fairly good experience. I was asked to provide a credit card to have multiple drinks on an order. I understand that at some establishments you require a credit card to aquire a tab. It seems that this rule only applies to certain people at certain times. Questionable Service.

Food is good, vegan options are great. The waitress was really rude and did not know what she was doing. She has dark hair and darker skin. My boyfriend asked for a beer and asked what kind there was, her reply was "uhh idk, you can go look at the wall if you want"... which was across the room. So he did not order a beer (keep in mind it was Wednesday which is cheap beer night and she failed to mention that as well, we found out on the way out on the door). We got our food, and ate, and she did not check on us once. We fininished eating and sat for AN HOUR waiting for the bill, until I had to go up to her and complain, which she didnt even care. Definitely did not leave a tip. Used to be a lot better.

Friendly and attentive wait staff, unique and enjoyable food variations. Three of us shared an order of the Loaded Fries ($12) - house-cut fries served with a cheddar blend, taco beef, sour cream, tomato, bell pepper & green onion. Such generous portions that we ended up taking some home. We also tried the new (to me) and increasingly popular Cauliflower Bites ($10) - roasted cauliflower florets tossed in house seasoning, served with your choice of buffalo or harissa and cilantro sauce. I'm not a cauliflower fan nor health food junkie, but these were amazing and worth trying again. For my main course, I choose the Grilled Cheese ($13) - pepper jack havarti & cheddar blend served on a New York style bread with house-crafted pickles. I upgraded this to include bacon for an additional $1.50. A vegan option of the grilled cheese is also available for those so inclined.

They a good selection of beers, and the food is okay. The atmosphere of the place is nice. The space to dance isn't big but usually it's enough for the amount of people there. It's nice if you go around 10pm ~11pm, after that starts getting really busy and getting the attention of one of the bartenders becomes a challenge. Around 1:30am there's too many drunk people to be as pleasant as it was earlier.

Their bouncer committed assault and battery against me last night. After stepping outside for some fresh air while a friend was having a smoke, I was singled out and told I could not come back in. When I asked "why?", a very simple and reasonable question, the bouncer placed both hands around my neck, pushed me against the wall and choked me. This was an unprovoked, intentional act of violence against me for the sole purpose of causing me harm. This was not an effort to escort me from the premises, it was a direct personal attack. I have bruising, pain and difficulty swallowing now, all because the violent psychopath employed by this establishment is incapable of mature, reasonable, and intelligent verbal discussion with someone he perceives an issue with. My tab for the evening was $25.50, it is difficult to imagine this lowly sum as being capable of purchasing enough alcohol to inebriate me to the point of disorderly conduct. The bouncer could not provide me a valid reason for excluding me from peacefully socializing with my friends, and immediately resorted to violence against me for attempting to discuss the issue with him. It is shameful that Fiddler's Pour House would employ such an unstable, violent, immature and unreasonable individual. He should be terminated for cause IMMEDIATELY! It is never acceptable for bar staff to physically harm any patron without provocation. His actions were criminal, he broke the law by assaulting and battering me for no reason.

Fiddlers always has a great DJ and is a fun spot for a night of dancing but pre drink before coming here, you'll never get a buzz going with how slow the service is.

Within the past few times I’ve been in, everything has been going down hill. The manager makes drinks according to how HE likes them despite the customers’ preference even when confronted ..When I go to ask to speak to a supervisor or owner, they point me to a guy who is always taking shots and out of control...and a few times late at night, multiple people have approached me offering drugs when trying to go to the washroom. Extremely out of control and not how to work a business. It’s a shame because the food is good but service has been terrible and dangerous in my opinion

My favourite place to go have drinks and food in downtown St.Catharines. Great beer selections on tap. The food and service is always fast. The grilled cheese with bacon is a must have. Great music and good spot to watch sporting events. All around awesome place !!!

Brenda & I went to Fiddlers Pour House Thursday night June 16 2016. The selections of draft were very good, 16 different brews on tap. I sampled 4 while listening to live entertainment, acoustic guitar & vocals. We both had fresh home made soups and samosas served by Amy. She was well versed on what was on Tap giving suggestions while her service was very attentive but not overwhelming. The food was delicious & prices were affordable and good value. Such a cozy, fun, friendly location. The manager is fantastic, staff is great very polite, location is convient and the food is perfectly portioned. The parking is tricky but manageable if your looking for great pub food this is your place.

Great save by the manager to make up for a bad experience... I ordered dinner from Fiddlers Pour House last night and from the photo on the website my daughter picked the chicken fingers. My order of nachos was fine, my friend's fish & chips were great, but the chicken fingers were unappetizing & inedible. Last summer we had a great experience, so this was a disappointment. I emailed the manager who refunded my whole bill as a gesture of goodwill. That's good business & deserves another try!

Bad food, bad service and overall not a fun time. Sat down only to have servers just walk by and ignore us for a solid 20 minutes without asking if we wanted drinks. And when we recieved drinks, some of the mixed cocktails were awful. Atleast they took them off the bill.

Honestly the owner I have worked for a long time ago when he had another business. His food was amazing then, now it has only ripened with age as they say lol. Food is definately not a let down, prices are the 10 - 15$ range. Servings are good I walked out full. Personally have not gone to the bar there but from the service I got I could imagine their cheerful, friendly nature would be the same. Was good enough I went there a second time today after discovering the place last week. Recommend for sure!

Fiddler's Pour House has an ok atmosphere which was bolstered because I was amongst friends. Their beer selection is not all that great. There's not a single local beer on tap. This is shameful.

Took over 1 hour to get our entre. (we were the only table) Chicken burger was full of gristle, obviously not a good quality of meat. Cheesecake was frozen. Went in the middle of August no air conditioning!!! We made reservations for the D' Lish menu for 5pm. When we got there server said we're still serving lunch menu dinner doesnt start until 6pm! As part of the D'Lish promo we assumed this was restaurant quality not a hole in the wall bar. Could have got a better meal at a fast food restaurant for the same price.
