Was very pleased with the food and service. Some of the best fries I've ever had. The owner even brought us some complementary seltzers because there was the slightest delay with our food which wasn't an issue since we'd ordered shortly after opening and delays happen. Looking forward to more delicious meals!

The food was amazing (the pork belly is to die for and the smoked ceviche a perfect opposing compliment ). The ambience is modern yet personable and the service nothing short of spectacular. To have the owner/head chef come to our table to explain the origins of some of the dishes was a real treat making our experience not only a pleasure for our taste buds but also educational as well. Rich, vibrant colours presented across every dish and the aroma accompanying each plate released by the various spices, herbs and sauces were mesmerizing. Given the current climate it was a relief to dine in an environment that obviously takes the physical distancing and safety of their guests very seriously while still being able to provide a relaxed, enjoyable and "normal" eat in experience. Dispatch is a "must have" experience.

The food, service, and cocktails were all consistently incredible and you can tell that everyone involved loves what they do. There's also an emphasis on low/no-waste practices, as well as fair payment for employees and partnerships with local farms. Toronto - take note.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is unique and very flavourful. The cocktail is innovative and so good that you will end up buying some from thier alcohol shop. The service is top class, which made sense when I later found out our server was one of the owner of the restaurant. We always make sure to stop here on our way to Niagara.

Dispatch is easily one of the finest restaurants in the entire region, and such an incredible beacon of support to the entire community. Chef Adam uses such a wide range of flavours, spices, seasonings, and ingredients that you quite simply can’t find anywhere else in the city - the result is one of the most creative, flavourful, delicious menus I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy. With an incredibly creative and thoughtful beverage selection to boot, Dispatch is such a welcome addition to the downtown St. Catharines core. Food and beverage aside, Dispatch’s no-tipping model and living wage certification continues to demonstrate their commitment to the wellbeing of their employees and stakeholders, even in the face of the pandemic. Not only that, but the way that they have rallied to support and grow the east end of St Paul is exemplary, and they continue to show their devotion to making St. Catharines a better place to eat, work, and live for everyone. Can’t wait to go back.

Dispatch has been a long time coming, and I'm so glad it's here. I've been following Chef Adam's career over the last 10 years. Back then he was challenging the norm and exceeding expectations and I'm so glad to see that is still the case. This place is everything Niagara didn't have, and everything it needs. When you walk in, you feel like you could be in any major dining city in the world. I've traveled very extensively and have eaten at many of the top restaurants in the world. If I happened into this place in New York, Copenhagen, Melbourne, San Francisco, anywhere, I'd be happy I did and would return every time I re-visited said city. This is one of the few restaurants in the region that I can go into and know the entire menu is special, and a 100% reflection of the chef. There is nowhere else doing what Dispatch does, and it really shows. The space is beautiful, the prices are great, and the staff is beaming with excitement. Probably because they aren't letting tips get in the way of what they do. Every time I dine here I'm shocked when I get the bill in the best way possible. It's amazing to know that the above and beyond things that they do are because they are excited to serve you, and not to increase gratuities. It is 100% genuine hospitality. Thanks for making your home better and not going to another city where things could potentially be easier.

What a fantastic spot staffed with lovely humans and run by an incredible individual. My partner and I went here to celebrate our anniversary and could not have felt more welcome. Chef Adam's knack for creating innovative and complex flavors cannot be described, tasting is the only way to truly understand his gift. The atmosphere is always welcoming and fun! It is clear that the entire team loves what they do. (paying a living wage probably helps too) I was so worried that 2020 might be too much for any restaurant to bare, but from what I can see Dispatch has not only survived, but the team is making a positive contribution to Downtown St.Catharines. I highly recommend everyone try Dispatch for themselves, you'll fall in love with the food and the team!

Absolutely love everything Dispatch stands for. The food, drinks, service, philosophy and approach to the service industry is so refreshing to see downtown St. Catharines (and long overdue). Incredible food, beautiful atmosphere, and gratuity-free (the prices are the prices). I came here for lunch in a group of two, and we tried the jalapeno and cheese banger, the fries, and the wings and each was delicious. We ran into a hiccup using the app to order and pay, but those things can be smoothed out with time. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a sit-down restaurant with an interesting and varied menu.

Exceptional experience at Dispatch last night. The service is next level. From our greeting to our departure; no cue was missed. Decor is lovely and a chance to get back into the Lincoln Theatre was a huge thrill for my folks. Food was outstanding. Unique and wild with rare flavours. May we recommend the garlic custard it was a scene stealer and we will crave it. What a wonderful new addition to our vibrant downtown scene. Thank you for a memorable dining event. It just doesn’t get any better than this. Living in Los Angeles, I WISH we had a gem like this as I’d eat here every week. Choosing between craft cocktails with unique and mouthwatering concoctions and a vast international wine list were how we started off our lunch. Then we dove in trying every item on the meze menu for our group of 4. And each dish was better than the next. One particular standout was the tzatziki which had such depth of flavour it put the tzatziki’s I’ve had in Greece to shame. And if the chicken musakhan is on the menu when you visit, order it. I dare say a more delectable dish could not be found anywhere else in Ontario and beyond. It’s insanely good. Throw in some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable service I’ve ever experienced and this restaurant is a formula for success. Anyhow, in the end, don’t walk to this restaurant...run! I just hope this city realizes they have a culinary giant in their midst, and provides the support this restaurant deserves. As this is a cosmopolitan culinary experience fit for Los Angeles, but it’s St. Catharines that they call home. Support them, embrace them, and be proud of having such a gift in your own backyard. Well done, Dispatch, well done!!

My second time dining here, for my wife's birthday, and it again did not disappoint. The level of service is unbelievable, like no other restaurant I've been to. The food is stunning. So beautifully presented, so full of flavour. It truly is a food experience like no other. On top of that, the cocktails are among the best I've ever had, and that's saying something! I love Dispatch, it feels good to support a local establishment working with such an admirably ethical code of low waste and living wage. Love it!

First time to Dispatch and loved it. Sat on the patio which has been extended into the road. Wonderful food. We ordered about 5 x small plates for 3 of us. Fried tofu, Furikake Fries, Seafood chowder pie (downunder style) and I took home a Babaganoush. Kiwi living in Niagara so pleasure to meet the Aussie owner Adam. Get out and support these guys!

The food is absolutely top notch (up there with some of the VERY best I have ever had… period). I was raving about it after dinner, on the drive back and now on the couch. The web based order system is fantastic (and I certainly think here to stay). Staff is friendly and extremely attentive. I would honestly order everything on the menu. Bonus: tip is priced in and Chief Adam is forward thinking and humble. Happy to support such a great business.

I have always had an amazing experience here from service and food. Your dishes are served at an efficient rate, in addition to your first bite are always filled with an explosion of flavour. You cannot go wrong. The cook and bar manager were very personable. We had short but sweet conversation but are always filled with immense love for what they do. ???? it's such a gem in Ontario. I would always make the trip here and of course visit the wineries. Make a day out of it, it will never disappoint.

While the food was quite good, the prices and portions prevent me from giving a higher rating. Prices shown include gratuity, but still .... 1 beer (the cheapest one available) + "meat" pie with chowder + satay vegetable bowl = $44. Yikes! NYC prices!

The food is delicious and the people are wonderful - a must try in St. Catharines! I love food, I love drink, and I love all things local, so I was absolutely delighted when Dispatch came on the scene as an innovative blend of all three. My first proper experience with Dispatch was actually after the pandemic shut down when they prepared takeout meals in an attempt to sustainably use the rest of their pre-pandemic produce (awesome thing #1). My husband and I ordered food for ourselves and then we immediately ordered some for our family because it was SO GOOD (awesome thing #2). At that point, I looked more closely at their business practice and was fascinated to learn that the folks at Dispatch do everything in their power to produce their wonderful food and drink in a completely sustainable way. After this initial phase of take out orders, they closed up for a bit to really consciously develop a pandemic plan that was safe and sustainable for their staff and customers (awesome thing #3). When they opened up again with their online orders, we immediately tried their trail mix and Turkish delight - both incredible and something we’ve now ordered multiple times! The last time we picked up our goodies we had an opportunity to chat with one of the owners and he was so incredibly nice, friendly, and excited about his product (awesome thing #4). He took the time to chat with us and explain their next phase, along with all of the quality and safety considerations. Amazing! So if you’ve made it to the end of this review, try Dispatch! You definitely won’t regret it :)

Outstanding food and cocktails. The wine and beer selection is curated and eclectic. The staff are very knowledgeable. We ate the Cali fries and Korean fried chicken sandwich. Delish. They have a bottle shop and some other fine goods for sale. There is no tipping and the staff are all paid a living wage. This is the type of restaurant we need to see more of in this world.

My partner and I visit every so often being local. From the moment we get there, it is hospitality at its finest! The team is always so welcoming and pleasant. Chef Adam has such a vision and such a grasp for what he wants you as a guest to experience through his Australian-inspired dishes. Although it often involves combinations I could never think up, it ALWAYS works and my taste-buds very much appreciate it (Adam, you're a culinary Genius). The cocktails are to die for and it's fun to see how they add their creative twist to them. A shoutout to Sommelier Mike as well who recommended the best red wine for Thanksgiving. Based on what I was looking for, he recommended the Jordan River Classic Barbera. It was a full-bodied red with beautiful aromas of blackberry, plum, black pepper and cinnamon. It was fruity and finished crisp. I was trying to impress a wine connoisseur and he thought it was very nice (Thanks to you Mike). Let's also not forget all the hard work that goes on in the background. Shoutout to Tamara for her marketing magic and all that she does behind the scenes for their social media. I also want to point out how well they work together and how accepting they are of anyone and everyone from all walks of life. It is a truly amazing experience and I can't recommend it enough.

The staff here truly understand the meaning of hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we felt like everything was well considered. We were celebrating a few birthdays so it was a special occasion for us. We had 4 or 5 courses with drink pairings which were amazing. Each course was really flavourful which caused us to slow down and enjoy each bite. We were there for almost 2 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. My favourite course was a fried Turkish bread with spiced ground lamb.

Came here on a whim with friends on our way to Niagara, and we had an amazing upscale dining experience. Delicious and thoughtful dishes, impeccable service, and classy ambience. I thought that the prices were quite fair given the quality (around the same as a nicer restaurant in Toronto). On top of all that, they operate on principles of minimizing food waste and paying their employees a living wage (meaning no gratuities). How cool is that? I sincerely wish more restaurants will follow in your example. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed dining here, and will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Very special place! The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff are knowledgeable (and very friendly), and the food is incredible. We tried a number of dishes and were wowed by them all. The chef came out with each dish to explain the plate and sent over a complimentary sampler as well. The flavours are near eastern/Moroccan with some unfamiliar ingredients but they’re happy to walk you through the menu. The Manager & Sommelier is incredibly knowledgeable and the wine list is super interesting. Producers and grapes that you don’t widely see. I was expecting high prices considering their fair wage philosophy, but found it very modest considering the quality. We will visit again soon!

I’ve dined here twice and both times it’s been spectacular. The bar and wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. This is what hospitality looks like, which is rare these days in restaurants. The food is second to none. Adam’s depth of knowledge of flavours and textures really come through in very unique dish on the main menu and dessert menu. Watching he and his staff work in the kitchen is what kitchens should be. Precise, neat, clean and professional. There is a no tipping policy and I found it to be very good value for money. I’ll be back.

Located in what looks to be a newly renovated building in the downtown area, the interior is bright, spacious and modern. The alcohol selection seemed extensive for a smaller restaurant, including a number of cocktails. There were 7-8 items on the food menu but we opted for the tasting menu which included everything @ $75pp. The dishes were a Middle Eastern theme and as described by either the chef or server, all very intricately prepared as would be expected at a high end establishment. We don't often eat this type of ethnic cuisine so we thought it was unique and delicious. We were quite full by the time we finished the savoury dish of Cornish hen, and then they had 2 very refreshing palate cleansers followed by an excellent dessert which was sort of an ice cream on top of a pastry. In the end also the pleasant surprise that the price included gratuity. All in all an excellent feast comparable to notl or downtown Toronto.

Exceptional value. Our meal was a trip around the world. No doubt one of the meal -for the price- that was the most satisfying in a very, very long time (yes we had Alo to go, Dailo to go, Bar raval etc. in Toronto this during the past year). It reminded us of Turkey and a few places we’ve been in Asia. ???? Everything was absolutely delicious. Not light but yummy; the kind of meal that makes you want to lick your plate. The ambiance on the terrace is chill and the staff was super friendly and provided great advice. Don’t leave before trying one or many cocktails. Again, very well executed: original flavours yet very well balanced unlike many bars that you read the description and once you drink it’s quite disappointing. Here? The opposite: you don’t want it to end. Why can’t we have this restaurant in Toronto? I’m jealous… I’ll have to come back!

I can't believe I forgot to post a review about this place! We went in late December and to date, it was one of the best and most unique dining experiences of my life and my wife and I love to try new places so that's no idle praise. Really hoping to visit again as soon as we're able!

The best dining experience I have had all year! I will most definitely return when I am next in the Niagara area, not that Dispatch isn't worth the drive, I would drive many hours to eat Chef Adam's food, and enjoy the hospitality of the fine folks (shout outs to Michael and Tawny!). Also note their great philosophy where they pay all staff a living wage, and they are a no-tip establishment, I believe this to be the future of hospitality and more owners should jump on board with this. Also, they are a no waste kitchen, using every part of everything brought into the kitchen. BRAVO! Can't wait to go back, and see what the kitchen gets up to as the seasons change.

Ok, not gonna lie -- the food here is delicious and the service is excellent, and I agree with the "living wage" for the staff, but even so, that was the most expensive dinner that I've never had. My wife and I had the following, split between two people: one chicken leg, one scallop sliced into six bits, two teaspoons of duck meat in ritz cracker sized buns, a slice of fried cabbage, one beer and one cocktail, all for $111.00. We left hungry and laughing, and went straight down the street to Lost + Found and actually had dinner. You might be able to pull a portion-to-price stunt like that in Toronto, but this restaurant will never last in St. Catharines -- not with so many other excellent downtown options an easy walk away.

One of the best restaurant experiences! My taste buds are still dancing. The food and drinks are extremely creative and flavourful and the staff are so attentive and knowledgeable. Gorgeous decor and setup. On top of it all, one of the few restaurants in the area that's opted to pay their staff fair living wages (ie. No need to tip). This is seriously an authentic and fun high class dining experience.

We stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant tucked away in St. Catherine’s. Prior to the pandemic we had a wonderful experience dining at the chefs table where Chef Adam and his crew would chat about the passion of the meals and where the inspiration comes from. Let’s just say that every dish was out of this world! When indoor dining opens up, I highly recommend going in and dining! In terms of the outdoor patio, the menu has been elevated. We had the following dishes: 1. Korean BBQ fried chicken Sando in Bao with seaweed salad and dynamite sauce. 2. Hamsi (Fried anchovies) po' boy , onion salad, pickled radish. On a toasted baguette. 3. Eggplant dolma with burnt yoghurt. Everything was delicious! They’ve really created a neat patio and space where I felt so comfortable. With the unfortunate part of the people in need, just greeting them and continue your evening, didn’t disrupt us at all. Everyone was respectful.

We were warmly welcomed by Michael and Jason at Dispatch for our outstanding Friday luncheon. The Tzatziki dish we ordered was brought to a new level of flavour and texture complexities and served with an amazing newly baked bread. It was hard to pick a favorite dish as every one was so good. Cocktails were different and tasty, I was impressed by number of non alcoholic options for cocktail or beer, as most places offer none to very lil besides pop/water for drivers or pregnant women.

The dry aged duck goes straight into my hall of fame and the Turkish manti will compel me back to Dispatch everytime I'm in the Niagara region. At first I was going to give this 4 stars because it is pretty pricey and you need to get a lot to fill you up. However, the flavours in each of the dishes were far beyond 4 stars. This could possibly be the best food I have had. Everything had such distinct flavours that were exquisite. One of the things I got were these potatoe wedges. I didn't expect much because they are just potatoes wedges. However, even with a simple dish as this, the flavour was phenomenal. Such a distinct smokey taste that provides a new tier for potatoe wedge potential. Expect to pay a bit more here, but expect a far greater taste than could imagine.

Oh! The flavours!! An amazing experience for my husband and I. Can't say enough good things about the food. Every dish was so tasty. I was worried I would not enjoy the cuisine, but was surprised and delighted with every bite. More than enough for 2 (we shared each small plate). The white wine (Chenin blanc, Vouvray) was great on its own as well as with every plate. The service was beyond reproach. Will definitely go back.

Been wanting to try this local, new restaurant and finally did Oct 19th, for our anniversary. We definitely got the "Wow" factor there. From the service from all their staff, to the food, which is an art form in itself. If you want a truly unique dining experience, this is a must on your restaurant's to visit. If you're looking for a cookie cutter meal and service, go elsewhere, this is not a chain restaurant. This is a dining experience. It is not cheap, but nothing great is cheap!! Thanks to the staff for going the extra mile too, small touch with the postcard (for our anniversary). Will absolutely return.

We went pre-Covid and returned a few weeks back to enjoy the patio on the street and see the string lights the community put up to make the street festive. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and explained each dish and it's ingredients so we really understood the philosophy behind each dish ! Very interesting how lemond's were actually recycled in our dish . Very cool !! I will definitely go back to try the $60.00 chefs choice for dinner. Last but not least they do not accept tips , Wow !! The prices are a bit high but not having to tip makes it worth while.

Long time client of Dispatch, but I think that story has come to a close. We’ve celebrated many events with Dispatch pre-covid and supported our favourite restaurant during the lockdown by ordering takeout. Their patio has become unsafe due to the sheer number of junkies aggressively harassing customers on their patio. It’s near impossible to enjoy any semblance of a meal without being harassed and frankly it’s traumatizing; I’m fearful of heading downtown. No one wants to spend a quasi paycheque on a meal there while junkies are shooting up just a few feet away. Concerns fall on deaf ears at council. No one at this restaurant prevents these individuals from bothering their paying customers. Where is the police presence? We’ll be heading to Port Dalhousie from now on to dine with their beautiful street closures.

Lovely staff, very friendly and welcoming. They pay their servers a living wage and the restaurant is tip-free. Nice patio! The food however is okay, not great, and I was surprised by how positive all the other reviews are. I think if you had one dish it would be fine but we ordered almost the entire menu and honestly most of the dishes tasted very similar (Asian fusion, coriander, kim chi, lime etc). I found the dishes to be over-sauced. The meat pie lacked a flaky exterior and was kind of all over the place (Australian meat pie but with a seafood chowder filling but also with a Nigerian sauce?). I would probably go for a few small bites and drinks, but I would not recommend this restaurant for a full dinner.

It’s definitely worth a trip from Burlington. Although we ware not able to dine at Dispatch before Covid, we visited the restaurant for the first time in March 2021 and we fell in love. Korean BBQ chicken and Soto Ayam noodles stole our hearts. Wine selection is great so are bottled drinks. Highly recommend because the food and hospitality. Thanks Adam and Mike, awesome job!

I visiting Dispatch with a friend for drinks a number of months ago. Every part of the experience was outstanding. We were greeted by the staff immediately when we walked in. We sat at the bar and chatted with the head chef Adam and the bartender. They explained to us the concept of the restaurant and the bartender took the time to explain the various drink options. The drinks were outstanding. For one drink we asked the bartender to surprise us. The drink he made was incredible. I look forward to returning for dinner as I have heard that the food is to die for. Highly recommend. Outstanding owners and staff.
