Always good food and good ambiance. Top notch service. If you gonna get dinner special, be prepared to be stuffed, well for me at least. Leftover are even more enjoyable as lunch next day, but do somehow get spicer overnight. Be prepared.

This was a very unique Thai place as it ups the experience with some very strong flavours. Loved the red curry that they had and also tried some of their Drunken noodles with beef. The meat was tender and juicy. Covid experience is unique since we say outside in their "patio" but that's the current reality. thanks for a great dining experience!

Ordered for the first time yesterday and ended up throwing it away... INoodles where overcooked and quite slimy. The coconut Thai soup has tomatoes in it? Very strange and not good. I ordered from Mai Thai in Niagara Falls today and it was amazing! I would not recommend this place. Cost was high for small portion and it was not good....

This was my first order with Chang Noi's and it will be my last. My original order was for an ND4 (spicy rice noodles with tofu) . The first attempt was some sort of vegetable stir fry in an identified liquid, I called them and after arguing with me about fixing it they then decided to replace it and deliver to my house which I was happy about! If that order had been correct this would be an entirely different review. However, the second attempt was similar random vegetables in an unidentified sauce but this time it at least contained noodles; slimy sweet noodles. Nothing spicy about it. When my boyfriend called back to inform them that they had made a mistake again they said a manager would call him back. We have heard nothing. No dinner for me tonight. Save yourself and order from one of the many other wonderful Thai restaurants in St. Catharines

I wish I could give this place more stars, honestly. My Cashew Chicken was ok BUT the portions were tiny! We decided to order takeout from here last night. Usually we order from another Thai place but I wanted to give Chang Noi a shot because of all the positive reviews. I paid 14.95 for a tiny half bowl of cashew chicken. It was mostly orange slices and juice. I had to get an order of rice because it doesn't come with it which is fine. They give you a square container which you'd assume is full of rice, but no. It's just about 1/4 cup of rice in the shape of a heart. Hardly enough. I was left feeling hungry. For 14.95, I expect a full meal. At our other Thai place, I always have leftovers. My husband ordered Pad Thai. I''m not sure if there is a noodle shortage over there but it was about 80% bean sprouts. He was left searching for noodles...in his PAD THAI! It was also rather dry and he had to use some of our sauces at home to liven it up. All in all, I'd say we probably will stick to our original Thai place. It's a shame because this place is nice inside and it's close to where we live. But definitely not worth the prices.

Quite unfortunate. Been to this restaurant many times. The food is excellent. Had a reservation. Got seated. No one came to our table for 22 minutes. Was passed by several servers during that time, but no one came. Always loved the food here, which compensated for that fact that I can never find parking. But after this instance of being totally ignored, probably will never visit again. Sorry.

We were pretty disappointed with our food. Everything was overly sweet, not enough space, our pad thai had very little sauce and we asked for the tails to be removed from the shrimp in all our shrimp dishes, but they were not. Won't order from here again.

The food and dining area is nice. Prices are pretty steep, however, and our large party waited a very long time for our food. Gave me the wrong dish, so I had to wait to eat with my friends (it happens). Their level 3 spicy isn't really spicy at all... delicious, but if you want spice go for a level 4 or higher I guess.

We went online and found this local thai restaurant and took a chance. The food was amazing and fully customizable for your spice tolerance. The staff was extremely nice and professional and the price was great for the quality of the entire experience. Highly recommend to anyone living or traveling through the St Catherines / Niagara area.

The food was delicious, I had the curry and Mango Sticky Rice. The Elephant chicken wings had a delicious sauce but the chicken was overdone and chewy. It is not the cheapest place, you're looking to spend ~13 for appetizers and ~16-25 for mains. The curry also doesn't come with rice/roti. You have to purchase it seperately.

Arrived and was seated timely. Twenty minutes later we grabbed a busboy for a drink as no one had come by to serve us. Five minutes later the waiter came by and went to find our drinks. Took our order The soup arrived but not my satay. Twenty minutes later we grabbed the waiter and asked for the Satay. He said it "takes time to cook it" When it finally arrived it barely beat the entrees, which were good, especially the Thick Red Chicken Curry. However, we ran out of rice, water and tea. Waiter never came by. For the first time ever I didn't leave a tip Would not recommend if you want to be fed

So a little background, I have been to Chang Noi's about 40 times, and the food is above average for Thai food in the Niagara region, about average when compared to the GTA. I have never really had a problem with service until I decided to try a takeout order. It started off by me heading to the restaurant to try and get a table, they said they were busy which is understandable on a Saturday night. So I went with a takeout order. The guy behind the counter took my order, I paid, took my receipt and headed home with him saying that they would call me when the food is ready. Here is where the issues started, about an hour later I was still waiting to hear back about my food being ready. A tad bit upset I headed to the restaurant only to find that my order had been sitting there for ~30 minutes based on how cold the food was when I got home. The worst was yet to come when I unpacked the food and it turns out one of the 3 dishes I ordered was completely wrong. I called immediately to let them know about my dissatisfaction with the service not only with them switching up my order but also not even calling me about my order being ready. They nonchalantly passed on even apologizing for the mix up and proceeded to tell me there was nothing they could do. The jist of it is that after about 20 minutes on the phone they basically came back with there was nothing they would do. So to sum it up, screw Chang Noi's and I'm never going to return. Enjoy and please regret your decision not to even acknowledge your mistake.

Definitely an odd choice of a neighbourhood to have such a restaurant, especially considering there's a convenience store next door. I gave this place two stars because the food is good, price is kind of high for a local Thai restaurant, and the service is below average. We came in with a few people and first hand, the hostess look annoyed. We thought that she may have been related to the owner of the establishment because really, no one would get away with that attitude as an employee. Servers were off-putting; it felt like we were bothering them when we needed something. It's a shame. To clarify, this experience was a few months ago. It was the third time we went, and honestly, I will not volunteer to go unless someone else I know insists on it. I had an extensive review on Yelp and it wasn't good.

If you know Queenston street, you know how dodgy the area is. The Big Bee convenience next door, does not help. However, once you step into this place, the evening will take a nice journey of aromatic food, good service and a nice (be it relatively small) place. There were 5 of us, and we had a feast. We actually arrived on a Friday early evening, and the place was already packed. We did not have a reservation, but they moved things around and did fit us in. They were quite busy. Will surely go back.

We have eaten many times at Chang Noi's. We absolutely love the food. The service however, is not always the greatest. There seems to be a high turn over of staff. And a lot of the time the servers seem very green at serving. We usually always wait quite awhile for the food, but we always know that going there and plan for it time wise. This particular occasion I took a couple friends out for dinner. It was such a bad experience I'm afraid I'll never go back. The server took our order. I order the same thing every time I go, however, she tells me they can't add tofu to the soya noodle dish I wanted. I said - I always get it here, it's never a problem. We had a discussion about it and I asked her to check. She did, came back and apologized - stating in fact they could do it. Then she forgot our drinks we ordered and after about 20 mins we had to ask for the beer. After about 45 mins the main dishes arrive. The server called out the name of the dish, however she was incorrect in identifying the dish she was actually serving. So mine ended up with my friend. The two people with me had their food for about 15 mins until "mine" finally showed up. Except it wasn't what I ordered. Once she dropped it I studied it and realized it had chicken in It. It was my friends first time ordering the dish so she didn't really know it wasn't hers, and it was missing the tofu so not easily identifiable. My friend and I figured out ourselves that our dishes were switched so we called the server to explain. She took the dish she gave me away instead if giving it to my friend because it was what she ordered. So I had to chase her down and tell her to bring it back because it was what my friend actually ordered. she was SO very confused at it all. I tried to explain it several times and still she was confused. Then finally, one of the owners asked me what exactly I ordered. So I told her. So she said she would place the order for my dish and I took my friends back to her. I wait another 15 mins, get my dish except it's missing broccoli (which is the main part of the dish) because they were out and it also didn't have the tofu I asked for. The server comes back to ask me how everything is and I tell her that I'm done complaining because the whole meal was a giant disaster! And that at this point I just want to eat and leave. I said, don't worry about the tofu, I don't want to wait for it. She ended up getting tofu for me which she delivered about 10 mins after. We were there for 2.5 hours eating dinner, and not because we were the issue. She did apologize, and told me they would take the charge for the tofu off my bill. This made me furious. That's it? First of all why are you charging me for tofu? It's cheaper than meat! Every other restaurant that offers it doesnt charge for it. Second, it's only a few bucks. You really should have comped my whole meal at the very least!!! After working in high end restaurants and customer service for years, I was just blown away at the lack of customer service and competence that evening. As sad as it is for me, I'm afraid it was such a horrible experience that I won't go back even though it's the best Thai in the region. This occasion was one of several not great customer service experiencences I've had over the last 6 months, and it seems to be an issue there ongoing, and getting worse. Too bad.

Just called at 9:00 and website says they close at 10:00. Oh, sorry we only got stirfries available. No appetizers, no spring roll, nothing. Just stir fry. But you dont close for another hour. Oh, we havent had a customer in 3 hours so we are only serving stirfry with the sauce we were going to throw out tonight anyways. Um.. yeah sure. Maybe you havent had a customer all night for a reason. Id rather not eat your week old stirfry, thanks. Great Customer Service! Thailand must be proud

Very disappointed. Items on menu labelled as “vegetarian” contain fish sauce. Hopefully this error gets fixed. Avoid this restaurant if you’re vegan or vegetarian for the time being

This place is a hidden gem. It’s in a place you won’t expect it to be in. The place is fancy. The food is great and it’s good they ask the level of how spicy you want. We ordered the mango chicken and Drunken elephant spicy noodle (as seen at the pics I posted) and I asked for spicy level 2 which was a bit spicy for me but I still kept eating cuz they were good.

I agree with the other reviews pointing out the portions are small. The rice being a small portion is a joke, but I always come back because the pineapple red curry chicken is one of the best foods I've ever tasted. I have to order 2 portions of rice because they give you a tiny bowl of it but the curry is portioned fairly unlike some of their other dishes which I no longer order. Overall yes the portions of some things including rice (lol) are small, the taste can't be beat in my opinion.

My family enjoyed this spot when we visited this place in Canada. Their dishes had a good mix of sweet, sour and salty. The dishes looked well prepared and wasn’t boring. I would definitely recommend if you get a chance.

Honestly not sure what the hype is all about. Had two lunch specials and they were okay. Also ordered a tom yum soup for $10. 250ml for broth is a bit unreasonable. Too pricey for the quantity of food at a local restaurant in St Catharines.

This was my first visit to Chang Noi's and I will be definitely returning for a second. Its a small cozy restaurant with good service. I had the Chang Noi Pad Thai and it was excellent. The friends I was with all enjoyed there food as well and no one left hungry.

Amazing! They were able to prepare 20 meals no problem for our work Christmas party(covid friendly, everyone ate at home) (take out). They wrote names on all the dishes so it was super easy for us to hand out the food. Everything was hot, fresh and tasty. Thank you for everything !!!
