We have visited this authentic Chinese restaurant on every occasion we come to Winnipeg. While the venue is modest the food is nothing short of spectacular. Being originally from Vancouver we have a very discerning palate when it comes to Authentic Chinese cuisine and this friendly little restaurant definitely has much to offer.

Excellent! One of the few places I could find that was open on Christmas Day. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Prices were extremely affordable and they have deals if you spend over a certain dollar amount. Family and guests were pleased. Will order from here again!

I came here with two friends from ON, when I discovered that our usual place was closed for vacation. I googled Chinese Restaurants in St Boniface, and Singyun came up, with the best reviews, and relatively close to home. We ordered 3 Egg Rolls, Ginger Beef, Honey Lemon Chicken, Veggie Chow Mein and White Rice. The server was friendly, the food came out quickly, and almost all at the same time (which I appreciate). The food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. We had enough left over for three lunches tomorrow! The restaurant is clean and comfortable. We were able to sit for quite a while and enjoy our visit, and didn't feel rushed. It wasn't too busy in the dining room, but I'm sure they do a steady take out business. This may be our new go-to when my friends come back to Winnipeg. I will definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed the combination plate!! Delivered fast, fresh and hot. Really liked that they put the breaded shrimp separately. And put the s/s sauce on the side! Nice to see they care. Will order again;))

We have dined-in, picked up, and used Skip many times, and have always been satisfied with the taste, freshness, and service. Price and portion is on point. We always order the same...spring rolls, chicken balls, beef w/green onion and ginger, and chicken fried rice.. sometimes throwing in a new dish. Love this place!! :)

Consistently great food and the lunch buffet is an excellent value. We had lunch at Montana's and paid twice as much for a uninspired meal. Everyone I send to Singyun enjoyed the food and friendly service. Highly recommended.

The Best We've Ever Had We had never ordered from Sing Yun but we will definitely be ordering in the future. The food was incredible. Hot and Sour soup was spicy and full of vegetables and shrimp and tofu. The Ribs in Black Bean with Garlic Sauce and the Beef in Black Bean and Garlic Sauce were tender and the sauce had the right amount of garlic. Shrimp in mixed greens were cooked perfectly and the vegetables were crisp and flavourful. The Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls were definitely the best with the perfect balance of chicken and breading. The servings were enough for two people for two meals. Definitely worth the wait time on a busy weekend! Thank you for the great food and excellent customer service.

Went in to place a takeout order Christmas Day, walked out before the estimated fifteen minute preparation time. Very generous and surprisingly savory portion of chicken fried rice and slightly spicy ginger beef, both tasty. Order came out to just over $21 after taxes.

Always wanted to try this place and finally did. I had the Pan Fried Ho Fan (favourite), Singapore noodles (also favourite), beef egg foo yung, Kung pao chicken, Cantonese chow mein, Szechuan chicken, breaded veal (great) and salt pepper chicken chicken (tasty). The portions were fantastic, we had meals for days. Good service, thoughtful too - they cut little vent holes in the breaded items so that it would not get soggy during travel. Will be back to eat through the menu.

It was our first time trying this resturant. I must say the food was amazing, the guy I spoke to on the phone was very accommodating in regards to shellfish allergies and certain dishes. Kudos to the staff at Singyun Resturant.

Awesome lunch buffet for $10 with a can drink & you can go back up for seconds... A great dinner party location for up to 30 people or order in and eat at home... I have eaten here at least 25 times and this little restaurant just keeps getting better...

Of all things, to go to the city's French quarter and have Chinese food. That said, zero regrets were had. Blink and you'll miss the place along the Provencher strip. The lunch buffet has the usual variety of standard north American interpretation of Chinese food, chicken balls, sweet and sour pork, ginger beer, fried rice and noodles. There was plenty more to list, but that's for you to find out about on your own. The food was well prepared, like for example, the chicken balls unlike other places I've gone were mostly meat, not a sea of fried batter with a tiny pearl like nucleus of meat. For the price of the buffet, to it also include a drink is down right just bananas. The place is a little dated in its decor, but it adds the the charm. There is nothing pretentious here, just decent north american Chinese food at unbelievably reasonable prices.

Ordered from here as our fave place is closed on Tuesdays. Not crazy about the spice they use in the egg rolls and way too much of it. This carried over into the sweet & sour sauce too?! yuck

Great deal for the price, service was fast yet friendly. The ginger beef had good flavor but was soft I prefer it with some crunch. The chicken balls were amazing but not a fan of the veal. The egg foo yung was perfect lots of flavor the broccoli was cooked to perfection. All in all I would definitely go back but I would change a few things on my order. I would definitely recommend.

Ordered for the first time last night and was very impressed. Food was delivered quickly. We ordered Veal, Singapore noodles, and Ginger Beef. The Veal was super tender and crispy, the noodles were nicely flavoured and had a lot of meat and veggies, and the Ginger Beef was delicious. We'll be ordering again.

Was looking to try a new Chinese restaurant in town and found Singyun on trip advisor. I was interested & intrigued! Invited friends to join us on a Saturday evening. Located just off the edge of downtown in the French quarter, we found parking right in front of the restaurant. It was quiet except for a few folks doing take away. We had the place to ourselves. It’s not fancy by any stretch but bright and clean. A friendly young man and his mother occasionally, served us and so we ordered up 7 dishes thinking we would have some take home left overs. We did, but dishes were so good & tasty that there wasn’t as much left as we anticipated.

Food was absolutely amazing. The spicy fried rice tasted really good, as well as the Deluxe vegetable. I wasn’t a fan of the spring roll just because they were really huge, wish they were half the size, they will cook better. Other than that, will definitely be Ordering again

I've ordered there 3 times, and 3 times I came back with more food then I can eat and it all tasted very good. They use real chicken in their chicken fried rice and everything. I'm very satisfied. The only complaint i could have would be more noodles in their noodle dishes... but on the other hand getting the other stuff is just as important in my opinion and that's why I still rate them high.

Stop deliveries very early. Have tryed to order 4 or 5 times,o delivery after one he before closing. Why can't you order so early?? Haven't been able to try the food. And never will!!!!!

Delectable! Very delicious, the spices and sauces they use are absolutely fantastic. The good: -The fried tofu is perfect in texture and not chewy or too soft! -The ginger beef dish is not like most ginger beefs, in some cases they are quite tough. Not with this one! -Noodles are pleasantly soft and not too crispy and crunchy when eating them. -Uses good vegetables you SHOULD expect at a chinese restaurant, as usual, they are a perfect texture too. Slight crunch, and slightly soft. -Buffet price is OUTSTANDING! Is a must when going out for lunch. -The owner and staff are very friendly, and sometimes even treat you like family. -Nice and quiet, great place to relax and enjoy food. The bad: -The restaurant itself is pretty small, and I don't suggest going there if your having a large group of people. -Isn't your fancy Chinese food restaurant, very much your classical older building that still serves great food however.

I've ordered from Singyun about 8 or 9 times over the past year and each time has been an amazing experience. I don't think I've ever known another Chinese restaurant to be so consistent in their quality. Personal favourites are the sweet & sour chicken balls and the breaded veal.

Worst Chinese food I have ever tried in my LIFE! Tasteless food! Tofu on the menu was stated as fried but was not even fried - was soft and raw tofu!! Poor service - no one even bothered us asking how was the food! We literally left everything as it is. Better go to China Garden or some other place. At least the food will be worth the money and have good taste. Very dissatisfied and won’t ever recommend!!

Yum! I always order take out. Food is always so good and delicious. I love the deep fried tofu with beef -its spicy! Other dishes to try are the "salt and pepper______". Anything with salt and pepper on the menu is going to be good!!! The seafood is done well too!

We love this place! They are our go to for Chinese food. Everything is cooked right and they don't skimp on the meat and vegetables. The beef is tender and flavourful and their shrimp is amazing. We love the breaded spareribs and the salt and pepper chicken.

Awesome buffet..we ate here today. Loved it❣️...Sesame chicken so delish, black bean pork ????, savoury chicken wings...yummy and the best ever, fried rice is best I've had, and tender sweet and sour pork. Only recommendation is less batter on the chicken balls. Food agrees with you and not overly salty....very wonderful, unique fresh taste. Great, cheery owners too????????. 4.75 to 5 definitely...very quaint ????????.

All you can eat buffet was great, not matter what type of eater that you are. Everything was nice and fresh, tasty and hot, even the soup. With a beverage the bill only comes to $11.25 with taxes included per person. The chicken was nice and crunchy with lots of meat on the bones. Crisp colourful vegetables with a tasty sauce. I'm coming back again and bringing four friends with me.

1st time ordering from SingYun 2night but definitely not the last as it was incredible! Each dish was better than the next that we couldn't even choose which we liked best - seriously. Excellent Chinese food you will not be disappointed. It is out of the delivery radius for Skip the Dishes but it was worth the drive in frigid temperatures. We ordered the Hot Honey Glazed Veal - Snow Peas with Beef - Spring Rolls - Sweet & Sour Shrimp - Shrimp & Sour Spareribs & Chicken Fried Rice... Leftovers for the next few days because they do not skimp and also they use wonderful fresh ingredients. Enjoy!

Wow. All I can say is WOW. By far the best Chinese food I have ever had. The portion sizes were amazing. My wife and I had Chinese for three straight nights. Free chicken balls with orders over $50 - I figure there are 20 chicken balls in each box. I feel like a better person now that I know about this restaurant.
