Have been here twice and while their baked goods are great, their customer service need work. I did not feel welcomed both times. I had a male cashier the first time and then a female cashier the second time and while they made eye contact with me when I came in, both times they tried serve the person that came in well after I did, EVEN THOUGH I was in front of their line! But of course, I interrupted by saying I got there first. Anyway, I feel less important when I come here even though I pay with the same currency as every other person. I try to avoid going to this bakery and much rather purchase their baked goods from Cafe Postal.

This place is by far the best place to get an almond croissant in Winnipeg. Should you go there on an empty stomach? Yes - then get one of everything and enjoy them over by the Cathedrale or at the forks. By the time you eat them all, you’ll have room for more. Seriously keep going back as much as you can. (The service is tops too.)

Amazing bakery. Had some tarts at the last minute and the lady who was serving was very nice. I suggested taking some more tarts at a discount at the closing time and she said out of principal we do not do discounts. The day old baked goods will go to homeless or a shelter instead. Loved it..... The place was very welcoming and the patrons seemed to be regulars and enjoying their coffees and dishes. I am sure everyone in the bakery wants the bakery to open later than 6PM on a a Saturday.

The only problem with La Belle Baguette is that I love coming here way too much. It’s in a charming little building in St. Boniface. When you walk in you’re greeted by display cases full of the most delicious looking pastries. My favourite to date is one of their savoury offerings the Croque monsieur. If you’re in Winnipeg go!

Sanjana Vijayann

Incredible bakery with the most helpful staff! We went there as part of a French lesson and they were so gracious to us as students learning the language. :)

Ben Jiménez

Well, the food quality here is stellar, absolutely top notch and honestly for what you're getting, the prices are reasonable. Now, my reason for not ranking this higher are two fold. Let me set the sence, I was there at 930 on a Saturday …

Kim Emeterio

It's a very small french bakery. Not so much selection but good well crafted desserts.

The owner didn’t pay the wage after my 7 hours of work at the bakery. And he didn’t respond when I texted and called him for my payment . I won’t buy anything from la belle since this company that doesn’t respect its workers or try-out people.

Iryna Golovko

It’s a great bakery. Their pastries have distinct flavours, not pure sugar unlike other dessert places. When I miss Europe, I head out there to get some eclairs. They have a vast variety of croissants. Almond custard croissant is my personal favourite. This location has a great seating inside (try their coffee - it’s delicious!) and an outdoor patio - at the very heart of St.Boniface!

Nathan Wild

A little pricey, but for the most part entirely worth it! The croissants are the best I've had ever!

Starr Trak

I have paid for a raisin croissant than was more like a giant cracker filled with raisin! The pastry was way overcooked! For that price, I may as well go get my raisin croissants from Costco! …

Nate

Love this little bakery. Get there early though.

Wai Chan

The cheese and herb croissant is so good. The last time I was here they had a cruffin which is a bit more unique. Think croissant muffin. We have had a number of items here. Everything tasted good. …

Hakliva Kristin

Oh my word! Awesome friendly service... the food and drink were very good!

Irena S

Lovely bakery that does French pastries justice! Would definitely recommend ☺️

Rejané Claasen

Friendly staff, delightful café and reasonable prices. Well worth the visit!

Brandon Mills

No prices on half the items, greeted by hostile staff (even rolled her eyes when we asked if they supplied masks), did not warm up our croissants and made us feel bad for asking the way she replied. Overall not the best experience and overpriced for what you get. Stay away! (Edit: typo)

Josie Rose

Our go-to spot when we are craving dessert. The eclairs and tortes are always amazing. Friendly & pleasant staff :)

Melissa C

I was recommended to go here by someone at Cafe Postal because I was looking for something freshly baked with cheese and it well exceeded my expectations! The amount of options available is awesome and everything lolks equally amazing! Wonderful service as well, everyone was very inviting!

Kipkoech Choge

Awesome little spot. The iced tea I had here was the best iced tea I've had in any restaurant yet. I will definitely be going back to try the many great pastry and for the iced tea. I would totally recommend La Belle Baguette to all.

Nicole

Wonderful place to stop and incredible offerings at a reasonable price. We got a large variety of things to try and I would love to try more. If you're new to the city, it's in the French Quarter and there are lots of neat things to see nearby as well making it worth the trip.

Crystal Roberts

Good coffee, amazing desserts (had some pates a soeur). Nice quiet bakery type shop with lots of variety in treats, drinks, and breads. Cashier was friendly and quick, didn't pressure me to hurry. Good seating and a washroom available. I didn't have to park so I don't know how it is!

Carolyn Weiss

Excellent creme brulee. Can't wait to try the rest.

Liam JT Milne

Hands down the best croissant I've had in Winnipeg. Get here early if you don't want to miss out! Also, cruffins!

Krystle McD

One of our regular spots. The crossiants are fluffy and crispy, the cinnamon are gooey and soft. I love trying new things there. The coconut tart is super smooth I can't say anything bad other than go early before they sell out and you miss the goods.

Daniel Froese

A great French Bakery. You must arrive early or make an order to get what you would like. Sells out quite fast. World recommend the Nutella croissant and multigrain bread.

Dan Law

No review I can write will do this place justice. Even if you don't love I Winnipeg you should make sure you visit it for a nice eat and treat. Make sure you go early as most of the goodies are snatched up. Fresh breads and desserts are simply the best in town. In fact I'm going there now because I'm going through chocolate withdrawl

Max

Amazing, delicious croissants with a variety of different flavours and other baked goods.

Mary F

Delicious baked goods but often sells out quite early in the day. I wish they'd just bake more of the stuff that's in demand! However I recently discovered you can order ahead by phone. Total game changer. Highly recommend. Follow their insta to see specialty/holiday baked items and meet the order ahead deadlines.

Max Torque

Have been going there almost weekly since they've opened and was always happy with food/service. However today, dealt with a cashier that was very rude to me specifically. Definitely won't return.

Laura Fedoruk

This bakery has friendly staff and a great selection of bread and sweets. The lemon poppy seed mini loaves and pretzels are amazing. The cinnamon buns are not to be missed!

Laurie Montizambert

Wonderful bakery in St. B. Not a bad price point and their treats are to die for.

Joel Wiebe

Everything is delicious. The macaron’s are only available on weekends but they’re worth the wait. The lemon meringue tart is my favourite and they have a very good selection of croissants made daily.

Jon Peters

Hands down the best french bakery I've tried. Excellent croissants. Amazing pretzels. Staff are a little "crusty" on occasion, but still worth the stop! Edit: Several years have gone by and so I'm changing my review. If I'm in the mood for a great croissant with no measurable amount of customer service or appreciation for supporting a business (which I'll be honest, often I am, hence 2 stars instead of 1) then this is my choice. Beware however deviating from the basic "point at item and pay for it". The majority of the time where I've had to ask questions, those "crusty" staff are just plain rude. My suggestion is, if there's a chance of "interaction", take your business where it's welcomed.

Louis GMEB

I like this Bagueteria , they have great bread.

Avery

I LOVE their pastries. I like that their staff speak French too. Lol. This patisserie suits vibe of St B.

Michelle Bacon

OMG, how have I not been here before? Their food is amazing! We bought so many croissants, bread, and treats, and it disappeared so fast. A new fave, will be back again soon.

Robin Catton

Always my favorite bakery to visit, especially after a night shift. I usually pick up a couple assorted croissants and pretzels and carb load after my night shift stretch. Decent prices for the quality of food. Also a nice place to drink coffee, eat pastries and relax on their patio. ????

Colum Grove-White

Love this cute little French café nestled away in Saint Boniface, the francophone quarter of Winnipeg. The pastries are really amazing. To visitors from out of town wanting to get away from the city centre, would highly recommend coming here.

Jennifer N

The date-filled bear paw was delicious! Flakey and sweet on the outside with a yummy date filling. It was huge tho. Definitely could share.

Ariana Debreuil

Love this bakery! My favorite thing is they're white sourdough, arguably the best in the city! Always very friendly staff and although there sometime is a wait it is worth it. If you want to make sure you get what you are looking for, go early! Love getting a treat and sitting outside on the patio here!

Bakul Trehan

Their Almond croissant's are to die for. All other pastries are good too.

Stephen Cross

Wow that experience was worth it. Amazing food great job.

Kristine

What a fantastic spot!! Pastries are fresh and delicious! Bought a variety of croissants and danish for a staff meeting and they were all enjoyed. And the price for everything is very reasonable. Can't wait to go again!

Selene N

Best bakery in the city! I go at least once a week now! I can't believe I've only recently found it! The flavours are INCREDIBLE and the size of their croissants and home made pop tarts are gigantic! I am forever faithful to this place for all my baked goods!

steve Hocking

You can expect nothing less than perfect. A awesome little French bakery. Right in the heart of the French. All the baking is second to none. We are so lucky cause we live 3 blocks away.

Ben Shedden

I’ve eaten pastries all over the world, especially in France, and La Belle Baguette absolutely holds its own. It’s the best pastry shop in Winnipeg. The almond croissant is a masterpiece, but I haven’t had anything that wasn’t terrific (maybe the blueberry danish could have a slightly higher filling-to-pastry ratio - but I digress).

Tennille Bartelings

I cannot even express how amazing this bakery is. I'm not even able to eat the baked goods (cause I'm Celiac) but it smells like heaven in there and anyone else I take there loves their pastries and savoury croissants!!! A must visit if you're travelling to Winnipeg or live here!

Steve Ens

The only problem was that we came too late in the day for a greater selection. Wasn't much to choose from but what we ordered was amazing.

Crystal Paculan

This place has the BEST croissants in the city!!

Sidney Shapira

On adore La Belle Baguette. We love La Belle Baguette. When we stopped by today we realized how delicious the coffee tastes. There are so many sweet possibilities to choose from, you csnnot go wrong. The lemon meringue tarts were flying off …

Cold Toes

Belle Baguette is my favorite bakery to pick up bread, and dessert. I’ve even stopped in a few times for a cup of coffee and a delicious sandwich. Eaten both inside and out on the patio on our nicer days. As well as picked up some items to go. Well done!

Mr Lemus

Ambience and selection is amazing but if you are going there to get A plus service forget about that dream. The server working there gives you attitude and doesn’t even smile or greet you.

All_about_ food

Great staff, good food, the treats can be too sweet though, I recommend holding back the on sugar so that we can enjoy them well :) great coffee

tylor mathers

Good croissant, not good coffee. Poor customer service skills from the lady who served us: it seemed as though she had better things to do other than serve us.

dallas friesen

I arrived at 7:50 am and waited outside (second in line). An employee came to the door to tell us that they were running behind. After a half hour of waiting we were allowed in to be told that they were already sold out of the one item I set an early alarm for. NEVER GOING BACK

Savannah Szurlej

The best croissants! Incredible chocolate ones... Always a treat to visit!

Bella Galbraith

Nice treats

Leanna Scherr

Delicious coffee and baked goods. If you are early enough for the croissants...get one. But if not, their everything pretzels are super yummy!

Guy Prefontaine

Great product, very well prepared with care and quality ingredients. Must go. Service en français aussi.

Amalia Santiago

Products are good except the service.

Nick Pizza

This bakery is absolutely delicious. From their fresh bread to their baked goods to their sandwiches, all the food is delightful. If we need to have a meal with stunning bread, we stop by here. If we need to have the best cinnamon buns, we go here. But go early - they sell out. While we were in line today 18 were bought! Very cute and quiet location to sit and eat as well. The staff are bilingual and very friendly. Highly recommend to both locals and tourists

Tim Lee

My first time eating their dishes. A friend brought over their pumpkin pie and Nutella croissants for Thanksgiving. Their crust is flaky and soft. I was expecting the Nutella pastry to be super sweet but this is just right, the pumpkin pie …

Laurie Sodomlak

Picked up an order of croissants both plain and chocolate plus some sourdough bread. It was so fresh and tasty.

Elisa Penaredondo

Place looks nice the food is great but the customer service is poor.

Gbo

I ordered a croissant and when the server started to look for one that wasn't flat I started to get worried that they probably weren't baked correctly. I wasn't surprised when it was doughy and undercooked. Not good!

Dave Petrishen

good place. nice to hangout with friends and fairly priced.

Katherine Armstrong

Wonderfully flaky croissants and fun twists on old standards. The Everything Bagel croissant with her bed cream cheese and garlic is as good as it sounds. Great loaves and desserts to boot.

Kate M.

The best croissants in the city! Great pastry selection, delicious breads. They often run out of croissants and other pastries early in the day, often before noon. I go regularly, worth the trip!

shanti peace

Yummy breakfast croissants awesome latte..great service very friendly.. Just found out there is another location from the server..we are visiting from Coquitlam BC this is our second time here..love love love????????????☕️

Nate B

One of the best bakeries / pastry shops in the city. Cinnamon buns and almond croissant are a must try, but there is not a bad voice in the place. Great coffee as well

Yuliya Kropivnitskaya

This place is amazing! There are variety of fresh bread, tarts, macaroons, and right-out-the oven croissants are delicious! It was my first time there today, and I’m definitely coming back! I highly recommend this place! Thanks a lot to all super friendly and professional stuff!

Shubham Tanwar

Cute little bakery with a wide range of baked goods. Interesting flavours of croissants. Tried their plain, chocolate, and almond ones and can attest that their croissants are one of the best(-est)!! Pair them up with their delicious cup of latte to complete a blissful morning! Would visit often to experience their French pâtisserie ambiance and to grab more baguette to go.

Ginger Cat

Love this place! Great for a treat sweet or savory. My partner always gets the baguette sandwich.

Justan Suss

Miss sitting and nursing a coffee w/ a pastry, but still worth the trip. Cinnamon buns are good.. not as good as Tall Grass (IMO) but they have tonnes of other great breads and pastries... My 5yo can sit and savour a strawberry eclair for a solid 30 minutes..... he's wise to do so cuz they're not JUST a pastry... they're an experience.

Toby T

Great baked goods and top quality bakery but customer service is severely lacking. The cashier is rude (visited Tuesday March 12, at 4 pm), the owner would know who that cashier is. She is often rude.

Clifford James Bloomfield

Surreal experience, I took a bite of my croissant, thought I was in heaven. Walked outside, nope, still Winnipeg. But, for a few moments, mmm. Will certainly be back.

Derek Dreger

Great croissants!

SJH

YUUUUUUMMY! This little gem, hidden around the corner from the St. Boniface Cathedral, produces extraordinary delights! But the best has got to be their lemon tarts. They're like little lemon meringue pies (about the size of a hockey puck with a lovely dollop of the most delicious meringue you will ever taste and a slice of fresh strawberry). The staff are friendly and accommodating (and I think fully bilingual). LOVE this place!.

Vic Friesen

Excellent bread and pastries. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
