Had a delicious meal there tonight, with old friends. Had tonight's pasta special that was mouthwatering. Service was friendly. The evening finished with the owner bringing us a small taste of grappa to help warm us as we headed into a cold night.

The service here was excellent! Even the manager came by twice to see how our meal was. Ordered the caesar and it was the worst one I had ever had. Ordered the seafood pasta with cream sauce was really good, could have used a little more flavor (garlic) Would definitely return and recommend to our friends and family.

They charge $2.75 for balsamic vinegar and Olive oil with the white bread and packaged butter right out the gate. We had a menu dish and a specialty item and the specialty item had muscles clams baby shrimp and calamari that honestly tasted frozen based on the spongyness. Just those 2 items the bill was almost 50 dollars. We frequent restraunts often, and will not likely to return. Staff was overly attentive. The owner is nice.

Not a lot of options here for someone who can’t eat tomatoes. I ordered the gnocchi with a cream sauce and it was kind of disappointing. The gnocchi didn’t have much flavour and was on the heavier side. The cream sauce was also incredibly bland. The tiramisu is served in a mason jar which is cute, but hard to get out and very small portion. Won’t be back, unfortunately.

The food here was great! Even though they seemed to have a few reservations and the other tables were full, they managed to fit us in and work things out for us so we could sit in a booth and not at the bar. It's a small restaurant so it fills up fast. There were only two servers running around to all the tables, so it did take a little longer to get service. But I was on a date with my husband and we had bread to eat and then an appetizer, etc. So waiting between was a good time to visit and catch up and didn't make me upset. I was in no hurry. My only problem was the supper was so good (and filling) that I had to get it packed up and had no room for dessert, which I did want to try. I filled up on break and mussels too. Delicious food and the owner was so welcoming to everyone.

Was at Sanremo Italian Bistro last night . . . again! I can't get enough of this place. It's my go to restaurant when I have guests in town and want to show off what St. Albert has to offer. . . it never disappoints. The food is always delish and the friendly atmosphere keeps me singing the praises for this little St. Albert gem of a restaurant.

I was expecting to have a nice date night out at a familiar Italian style restaurant.. instead we were treated to a high caliber fine dining experience. It was very clear that both the servers and chefs put 100% into our satisfaction with our orders. From customizations to allergy care. The food came out hot, delivered with anticipation of approval from our first few bites. My unrefined taste buds were refreshed with real cooking, unparralelled by any big chain restaurant I've ever been in, especially recently. Best wishes to the staff and owner. Cheers!

Went with 5 friends and was totally impressed. I had one of the special entrees of Mahi-Mahi and it was delicious, topped with a Mediterranean sauce of eggplant, olives, and tomatoes. The broccoli and cauliflower were steamed to perfection and the mashed potatoes were excellent. It was a large portion but I finished it all, even after eating the Insalata di Pomodori con Bocconcini which was so good I mopped up the remaining juices with their complimentary bread. Overall it was a very fine dining experience!

A wonderful Italian seafood pearl in a sea of steaks and fries. As a lover of land meat, I find the ocassional taste of the sea refreshing. Sanremo is an establishments that I have again and again revisited for their signature linguine with fresh mussles and crustaceans. Beyond pronouncing the italian dish names on the menu perfectly, the servers are also quick, friendly and heart warming. I also greatly enjoy their mushroom appetizer which prepares your tastebuds for an explosion of flavour that are both mouth-watering and unforgettable. You will not be disappointed with your visit! I highly recommend this bistro to anyone who is craving a good italian seafood treat ????☺️

We ended up here by fluke Saturday and so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious and I look forward to going back. Would give it 5 stars for the food, but it loses a point for a lack of wine-by-the-glass selection, a large table that wasn't cleared during the entire time we were there, and the manager/owner seemingly swearing at new staff in view of customers. Service from wait staff itself was good.

This place is great! I always order their specials and I've never been disappointed. The staff is very chill and knowledgeable. Not the cheapest place but you definitly get what you pay for. You can hear the Italian being spoken in the back and you know your getting an authentic dining experience. Will be back!

We showed up on a Saturday night without a reservation, they were all booked up but the owner asked him to give him a minute and he said he would squeeze us in. Told him we were in a hurry. Cut to the chase food was fantastic, service was great and ambiance was excellent! Well done.

We just had lunch today and everything was fine until we received our dessert. We ordered the dessert because of the "to die for"crackers that were to come with the dessert, and when the dessert came, there were no crackers and the server, when asked, said "Oh, we ran out". This should have been mentioned to us when we ordered. This wasn't such a big deal, but the worst part was when wanting to pay the bill, I mentioned to the server that I needed a debit machine and he said "you'll have to wait as I'm quite busy right now". There was no "Sorry" or "Could you just give me a minute while I clear this table"? He then kept ignoring us and went on to clear another table. We were finally able to pay when we asked another server for the debit machine and he said "sure, no problem". We won't be back!

A favourite place and date night for myself and my girlfriend. The service is exemplary, and the owner personally visits each table. Incredible and authenic Italian food, if it isn't on the menu they'll make it.

I have eaten here multiple times and love the food. I have tried various specialties, such as the braised lamb shank and the gnocchi, and have found them all spectacular. The service is quick and efficient, plus the staff is always welcoming. It can be very busy, especially on weekends, and I recommend reservations. I will be going back soon.

The service here is excellent, Richard was attentive and friendly. I had the veal and penne with the house tomato(I would recommend that) and the tirimisu which was also excellent. Prices are a little high but overall an excellent place to get some Italian food!

Just left this amazing restaurant that me and my fiancé tried by chance. Boy we're we so lucky!!! Great staff, amazing food,impeccable timing of dishes coming to the table. Our server was extremely hospitable and never missed a beat on refills and taking away of used dishes. He was knowledgeable. I'm sure the other gentleman who came to our table to check on our appetizer and meal was the manager or owner and really made our diner experience one to remember. Definitely coming back!!!!

New to St. Albert. Went for a walk. We were peeking in at the menu and they greeted us very nicely. Decided to stop in and eat. Reminded us of our months in Italy. Authentic, friendly and tasty. We both had the specials: osso buco and lamb, gnocchi, bruschetta, pasta, tiramisu, and mango sorbet. Tomato sauces were flavourful and meat was tasty yet wonder. It was a great evening out.

Very nice people, service was good but the meal fell short. The salmon was very small, thin and tough. It had some herbs on it but no flavor, it came with pasta which had a red sauce on it but it was very runny. It looked like soup on my plate. My girlfriend had ordered ravioli and it came with nothing and just like mine it was a very small portion with very runny sauce. I would expect some vegetables or even a salad on the side to make the meal more rounded.

First time dining at SanRemo last night after a recommendation from a colleague -- from the moment we walked in, to the shared laughter w our outstanding server Ermanno on the way out, a 5-star experience thru & thru. Everything we ordered -- from appys to entrèes -- was left in the hands of the fine staff and there's not a single thing we would have adjusted or done differently. Complete masters of their craft. Authentic, wonderfully presented and most importantly, absolutely delicious. Truly a genuine Italian experience. We felt a part of the 'family' before even stepping foot in the restaurant; upon booking our reservation we were able to select an entrèe that had been recommended to avoid missing out. Customer service epitomized. There's a reason the locals frequent this gem of an establishment -- a MUST have while dining in Edmonton, even if you're not staying in St. Albert. Do yourselves the favour and go visit the fine folks at SanRemo !

The owner is charming and always bustling about, making sure everything is OK. He even thanked us with shots of limoncello after we paid our bill. Nice quiet, intimate atmosphere. Italian at it's best. Family owned and run, tastes like a slice of Italy. Of the several times we've eaten there, we've never had a "oh darn" moment. We happened in for dinner on Tuesday night, we left our date night up to chance and we were not disappointed! The waitress was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable and the owner stopped by to make sure we had a great visit. We definitely ate too much bread but it was delicious! For our entrees I had the Rigatoni alla Amatriciana and he had the Vitello alla Parmagiana and both were next-level good and we left so satisfied and excited to return. The Arancini is definitely on our to-try list for next visit! Thanks for a great date night San Remo!

I am a very picky eater in general but especially when it comes to Italian. Cozy and personal just like the restaurants in Italy. The service is quick and they always make sure to check on us. The sauce is fresh. My personal favorite is the lamb but when I’m in the mood for carbs, there pasta dishes never fail. Also the mussels are delicious.

First time coming here and it was wonderful. We were seated quickly - luckily with Covid! Our food came quick and was delicious! We were asked many times how everything was and the server made small talk with us which was nice :) Ermanno came to our table before we left and checked in with us and gave us his card. Visiting St ALbert and located a quaint friendly Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. We received warm grilled bread and got the balsamic vinegar and olive oil to dip, flavors were so amazing. Mussels to have as an appetizer highly recommend. The tomatoe sauce was so rich and flavorful and the fresh garlic and olive oil, I dipped the bread and sipped the sauce on a spoon. Mains were Gnocchi with italian sausage. My daughter loved it. The gnocchi tasted like pillows of clouds in your mouth. She said the sauce was creamy with the spiciness of the sausage. My husband had the rigatoni with spicy sausages. The flavours were fresh and all the spices enhanced the homemade tomatoe sauce. I had the chicken stuffed with carmelized onions and mushrooms with a pesto cream sauce. I chose the spicy tomatoe basil sauce with penne pasta. Amazing. I apologize for not naming the correct name for the dishes and I hope my descriptions will entice you to enjoy a nice evening out to am amazing family run business with roots that go longer than the 2 bottles of Chianti we shared. Please support your local businesses that are trying to bring back their old and new customers. The next time we are in Alberta visiting our daughter we will definitely stop in for a great meal, friendly owners and staff. Give them a visit and share your experience. I am hoping to go one more time before we leave Alberta this week. Thanks Sanremo for an experience I will share with my family and friends in Ontario. The food tasted ok but the portions are very small and expensive for what you get. The rum we ordered was diluted with something it was the wrong color in the bottle and tasted funny. We sent those back. The owners should go have a meal at Pazzo pazzo. Won’t go back
