When you’re living through a pandemic and restaurants are delivery only, it’s truly a roll of the dice. My fingers were crossed when ordering a late night Philly cheesesteak sandwich and yam fries I couldn’t wait to have. I wish I could say it was amazing, but all I can’t say was it was edible. I dreamed of a moist meaty sandwich with gooey cheese and worth all the guilt I was willing to live with when eating it. Sadly it was nothing close to my dream, dried meat like bits and pieces of meat similar to what I think it’d be like to eat construction paper. The cheese, well what you see in the photo was the hype and not much more. So that brings us to the juice, the sauce, if that’s amazing it literally covers all the imperfection of a sandwich we can forget as we soak it up in flavour. But....... it didn’t have any flavour at all I tried dunking that sandwich like Kobe with a slam dunk and no win it was tasteless. So as much as I would’ve loved any of the key elements to save the day, it was a total bummer. I saved myself on the yam fries I lost my hype after the sandwich. I did my best to sell it for the three stars with a great edited photo for viewing pleasure. I can only hope when restaurants reopen maybe it’s a better option dinning in. Stick to pizza worth the guilt and always a win!

The waitress was nice. It was a long wait and we had to return my pasta and wait for another. My gf had to send back an item cause it wasn't correct. One appy was small and $10. It was a bad experience. I wasn't happy at all the only thing was the food was kinda good very small portions for the prices. But the waitress was very friendly. I won't go back I less it for breakfast.

Ordered off Skip the Dishes tonight. Our food was okay, not the greatest and some portions were small for the price. Also the dessert I ordered was not what I got. Ordered the Salted Carmel Apple Pie and I got this pumpkin pie instead.. which wasn't even on the menu? My chicken salad was pretty good but pretty disappointed with my dessert as I was very excited for the apple pie..

I waited like 30 seconds to be seated, and my coffee arrived about a minute later. Very fast!! The server was very welcoming and friendly, and also offered me today's paper right after I placed my order. (Which also arrived very quickly, less than ten minutes!) The food tasted excellent, and I definitely recommend making a stop here if you're nearby with an appetite!! I know I'll be back!!

Went here for brunch today. Our food and server were great. My grandma realized she forgot to ask for crisp bacon when our food arrived and the girl who brought our food brought her new bacon no problem, even though it wasn't expected at all. The only part of my visit that wasn't enjoyable was the host. I'm not sure his name but each time I go, this man says something offensive to me (and I am not easily offended). Today as I was sitting waiting for my table, he walked by, pointed at me and told the customers he was helping that I was very rude. Not sure what I did to deserve that? I'm not sure if I will be returning to Ricky's simply because of this experience.

Unfortunately, a trip to Ricky's last Friday had us leaving hungry...as we didnt get our breakfast after a 40 min wait...every other visit there has been pretty good actually, but I got one coffee, and no refills at all in the 40 mins...i asked to pay for our drinks so we could just leave as we were very hungry, and the server said " yep" ! Didnt ask what was wrong, why we were leaving or offer to make it right...so I put 10 on the table, asked her if it covered our drinks, got another "yep"...I then told her why we were leaving, and again no offer to help. Can't figure it out ! We usually get much better service there!

I usually eat here 2-3 times a month or at least stop in for a coffee a couple times a week...staff is super friendly, quick and attentive. This is not a Michelin Star restaurant and should not be reviewed as such. Compared to many restaurants of the same caliber in St Albert, Ricky's wins hands-down for price, food and atmosphere. Ricky's is a breakfast staple where the staff always seem to go above and beyond what is required. Kudos everyone for pushing through this COVID situation and doing everything that you can to keep your doors open. Thank you.

Okay so usually don’t complain but in this case I think it’s needed, so I ordered the mushroom Swiss beef dipper it was the dryest sandwich I’ve ever had, the dip for it was so watery had no flavour and added nothing to the sandwich, the fry’s were such a small portion over salted, and the restaurant was so dirty it actually was concerning the floor had a chunk of sausage, dirty napkins along with other pieces of food and gunk on the floor. All together sad experience when I was looking forward to this evening out. And it wasn’t even busy there

My experience at Ricky's in St. Albert today was amazing! Ernie the host at the time, was super friendly. We cracked a few jokes between the two of us, and it was a pleasure talking with him. It's great staff like Ernie and Christin that really create the awesome type of customer service and atmosphere you come to expect of a restaurant. We ordered 40+ minutes ago , currently everyone at the table has food and I’m still sitting here without my food.... Each time I go to this Ricky's it's not busy.... but I also have to wait quite a bit of time for service. For example, the last time I went the server delivered my soup.... but we had no utensils. She said she'd bring us spoons and then proceeded to take an order from another table. I waited to the point where I walked back to the kitchen and picked up my own spoon. It was not a great thing. Also, do yourself a fave and never lookup the calorie content of the tomato basil soup. If you order it live in ignorance cuz people, you wouldn't even believe how many cals your ingesting. I've heard other locations are much better and my friends love Ricky's for breakfast, but this location has never done me right!

My friends and I go to your Ricky's once a month! We are usually there on the last Thursday of the month! BINA is usually our server and she does an Awesome job. she is friendly and is always checking in with us to make sure we are doing okay! I have been a frequent client at Ricky's. The waitresses and waiters have been very good. In the past 3 weeks though, the cooks have FAILED BADLY. Tonight I had a radburger. The issue-the cheese was melted just as it is on any other cheeseburger at any other restaurant. I like a Med-salad without cucumbers(I hate cucumbers). In the past 3 weeks, I have got this salad: once with cucumbers, once without a bun, once without feta cheese, I always ask for blackened chicken-it has come with blackened chicken 1 time out of 4.

Little effort to impress. Waitress showed no enthusiasm. She's just there for a pay cheque. The 2 kids meals (chicken strips & fries) came first with both of them missing the plum sauce. My brother in law said "Not a good start". A waiter brought only 1 to the table but it was sufficient sinxe the kids dont use much anyway. My hubby ordered a burger and my brother ordered the California salad. They liked it ok. However my meal was VERY disappointing. I ordered ribs with House salad and Tumbleweed chips. My salad was good and that was about it. The chips were completely transparent with grease. I only ate 4 of them. I expected them to be like Boston Pizza's Cactus Chips - which are AWESOME! My ribs were NOT "fall off the bone tender" - more like "Gnaw off the bone tough"! The sauce was really good and the top of the ribs were the most tender but the meat in between was tough. I shouldn't have to saw my ribs apart. The waitress wasn't anywhere to be seen so I "toughed" it out. After our meals were done we waited and waited for the Waitress to come. She finally came around and my hubby told her what sauce the kids wanted on their sundaes the candy they wanted. All she came back with was the candy so we waited some more for the ice cream. No Waitress and no sundaes. We were getting tired of waiting and the kids were getting restless so we left. What a terribly managed place! It wasn't even busy! Not going back there again. We recently came back from Banff and ate at a well known restaurant and it was packed! The waiters and waitresses were fast on their feet, on top of their game, friendly, very efficient and the food was excellent! It's too bad not all restaurants can be that way.

Usually good here but this time the food didn’t taste well. Felt like the oil was old that the food was cooked in and quite abit of oil on the plates as well. The gravy was very clumpy and cold and told the manager and he said the gravy’s suppose to be like that. Which is odd because who has clumpy gravy? Wouldn’t eat here again.

Service was deplorable. Our server took our order fairly quickly but it went downhill from there. We tried to ask for more coffee but she never came to our table even after making eye contact with us. Finally, as we were finishing our last two bites she came back to ask how everything was and was already walking away as we asked for more coffee. We waited 20 minutes after our meal for the bill. Food was good though!

We normally love going here for supper on the weekends but the last couple of times have been really disappointing. The gravy is not as good as it used to be and the au jus for the beef dip was terrible. It honestly tasted like they had opened a container of beef broth and heated it up. No longer have pickles available for the burgers? Really ???? The only good part is the service is always top notch, but we probably won't return again unfortunately.....The food quality has just gone downhill.

If I could give this no stars I would. My daughter wanted a wrap for her birthday so we thought we would try here - we will never be purchasing from them again. The man cooking the food wasn't wearing a mask (which is mandatory when cooking food) we're in the middle of a pandemic! When I questioned the server about this she told me he should be wearing a mask, but is feeling perfectly fine. To make matters worse the food was horrible, soggy, and disappointing. I ordered a steak sandwich and I couldn't even finish half my meal it was barely edible. The meat has the same texture as wet cat food, and absolutely no flavour. This was the biggest waste of $70 ever!

We often come here for breakfast on the weekends and although the restaurant is typically busy during that time we are sat and served quite quickly. The front house staff at this location is really awesome - have never really had a bad experience and have been here numerous times.

We ordered the turkey dinner...it came without cranberry sauce, which makes the dinner for us, we ordered lemon cello cake and it was frozen solid..pretty upsetting, when the cake was $8.95 a slice. You think for that price they could thaw it out before sending it out....very disappointing meal, ordered through skip the dishes ...I won’t order from Rickys St. Albert again.

I love the atmosphere and for the most part the food is great. The only issue I have is my eggs. I order soft and never get them that way. Today one was medium and one was hard. I understand they're busy, but I think an all day breakfast place could master soft eggs.

I ordered dinner for my family to go "2 adults, 3 children" the food was alright, nothing special but edible for sure. My issue was the pasta we ordered for our daughter we asked for a child portion of pasta with butter and parmesan on the side. The pasta for my daughter was $8 for a very small portion. It was also overcooked so our daughter didn't eat it. I'm not sure at what point someone would look at this and say " $8 for that!" That's ridiculous and our customers deserve better than this. Nope see that $100+ order? Add $0.01 worth of pasta and charge them $8 for it.
