I've only ordered delivery from another Capital location before and it's always been delicious. We were in the area so decided to dine in. Our experience was mediocre at best. They seemed short-staffed for the volume on a Friday. Servers were seating tables and forgetting about them, or not telling other servers that someone was sitting in their section. A server was also saying people couldn't sit in certain areas because of COVID, but then another server would seat a group people in that area. Our food took a little longer than expected, which given that it was Friday night and they were busy, was okay. We were asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, we said yes, but they never happened. The deep fried zucchini was excellent but our go-to pepperoni pizza was underwhelming. It tasted as though it had been baked from frozen and was still a bit undercooked in the dough.

BEST PIZZA AND PASTA EVER!!! Kevin the owner and his family are amazing and so helpful always with reservations or to go orders. Our first choice is always Capital Pizza in St. Albert! They also now have Gluten Free pizza crust!!!!

My fiance and I stopped in for lunch and we ordered 2 Steak sandwiches. We got our order and the steak was huge and tasted great. It took awhile for it to come out to us, but delicious. Waitress was polite which is great. But oh boy were the steak sandwiches were delicious and a great price. My fiance and I both took 1/2 of our steaks home.

So the service was fair. The lasagna was deadly and really meaty, and sooo much cheese, just happened it was buy 1 get the second half price so I bought 2 but the take home portion was half the size of the eat in one. Ordered a grilled cheese for my son and the cheese was unmelted. But they didn't charge me to swap his fries for ceaser. Spouse ordered hot roast roast beef sandwich. Mashed potatoes were lumpy and the gravy was super salty. But we ate and had leftovers for $47. Honestly I would likely go back for the lasagne and change some of the other items.

Lowering to three Stars as they screwed up our order of five things in two ways. 1) wrong pizza type. In their defense, supposedly the menu online for a different location is different than their menu (which is not online), so ordering pizza #6 or whatever is different between the locations. They should know this and whoever answers the phone should clarify the type based on this. 2) Ordered a pasta and got a different type of sauce. They corrected the issue free of charge, but one person had to wait an additional half hour before they could eat. This was take out, so had to do another trip back to get the food. All in all it was okay, but a little more attention to detail would be good...

Best place to go for a good old fashionen meal that fills you up and you can feed a family for less than $100. Staff always friendly and wait time is good. i dont like sitting at the booths, i find them very uncomfortable.

Ordered a pizza for pickup a halfhour before closing, the lady was very polite and didnt try and rush me or sound annoyed. Was Reasonably priced and when i picked it up i couldn't believe how heavy it felt. It was stacked!... but perfectly proportioned, and the sauce is delicious. Honestly one of the best pizza's ive ever had. About to explode but cant stop eating ????.

Hasn't been the same since Kevin sold last Summer. Was good for about a month then the new owners started cutting corners, pizza is on par with frozen pizza from the grocery store now. Sad. Used to be awesome.

Very open ,with quiet booths, seated promptly, normal weight for pizza, pizza had a nice soft crust slightly overdone ingredients were spot-on, cheese and meats were very ample, they have TVs for sports, overall I was impressed we'll definitely go again did not have any alcoholic drinks,

Yesterday, my parents, son and I went to Capital Pizza & Steakhouse in St Albert for Lunch. My son is notoriously picky, so I ordered him plain (no oil, no sauce, nothing) spaghetti noodles. Imagine my absolute SHOCK and DISBELIEF when presented the bill and it stated "kids spaghetti - $11". Yes, $11 FOR A CHILD'S PORTION OF SPAGHETTI NOODLES. The woman at the till refused to budge on the pricing, repeatedly pointing to the kids menu "Spaghetti and meat sauce" even though that's not what we ordered. I REFUSE to go back, and especially never with children. They also had a $9 HOT DOG on the kids menu. What a TERRIBLE way to run a family restaurant.

Me and my girlfriend are both lactose intolerante. They cook pizza for us with cheese we bring. It is some of the best pizza we have ever had and the service has always been great. Couldnt ask for a better place.

The food was actually pretty good. However, do not visit this restaurant if you are quite hungry! We found the service to be incredibly slow and inattentive. We waited for a long time to order drinks. It was difficult to get our server's attention to ask for refills - not once did she come to check if we needed refills or anything for that matter. Once ordered, we waited for 25 minutes for appetizers and 30 minutes after our appetizers for our meal. When we asked about our food, the response was "We are still very busy, it will be out soon." No apology, no "thank you for your patience". She did not check to ensure our orders were ok (this would have been helpful as one of our appetizers was forgotten). We were celebrating a birthday, some running accomplishments & a dance performance so we had intended to complete our meal with dessert. We arrived at 5:40pm, and left at 7:45pm to go to another restaurant to have dessert. We had looked forward to this meal for a long time as it was the end of a very busy & active weekend. Sadly the poor service soured our celebration. There are many busy restaurants with good food and much, much better service.

This place is a complete joke, it has newer ownership and they have no idea what they are doing. We waited over an hour to get our food, food was cold and they forgot to make one of our kids meals. I will never go back and I recommend you don't waste your time or money here!

Food was okay.. My lobster was a little on the skunky side so didn't finish it. Honestly it didn't taste the best at all. We waited almost and hour to get our food there was people there after we were and had their food before us. Our server was very inattentive and only check on us 4 time in the 2 hours that we were there. All in all I was very unhappy with this place. ???? which is sad because they had such a great menu and great starters.

One of our favorite places to eat out in St.Albert. Feels like a family run restaurant and the food is great. Pizza is a proper steak house style that will fill you right up. Steak is AAA and the baked pasta is delicious.

It’s an old classic in st.albert, if you’ve had it once you’re always going back for more. It’s that comfort food you know won’t let you down. One word Lasagna!! The pizza is amazing but that goes without saying. But the Lasagna if I was being totally honest it’s so good I’ve wanted to order two eat one on the spot and take one home to chase that flavour later. It’s delicious, fresh, and just hits the right spot for flavour. The location is a bit dated but nobody is going there for the decor, what you came to hear is the food, and that my friends is all Aces! If you ask my mom the mushroom caps are also one you gotta make room to try. Either way not much you can say other than tasty, awesome price and always nice!

Best pizza in St albert by far. As close to deep dish without being deep dish. The cheese factor is 10/10 a large pizza will last a person 3 days just due to the volume of cheese and tasty toppings. Will continue to order from here when it comes to pizza. Highly recommend.

Maybe it was an off night for CP St.Alb, but what happened to customer service, service was slow (I noticed they were short on servers), We weren't asked how our meal was or even a quick hello would have been a start. The food was not good or fresh, and so we never finished our meals. Had to ask for the bill and also mentioned that our meals were unsatisfactory she (hostess) said she would tell the cooks, WHAT ! Not ever returning to that location, plus Ms. Hostess dont be so bossy to your staff.

Just terrible! NO SERVICE - Food disqusting! What they call a rib eye looks more like a minute steak. Actually a minute steak would have had more flavor. They insulted us further with cold vegetables and shrimp I am sure just jumped out of the creek next door. Oh the packaged gravy was something my dog wouldn't have ate. 3 out of 4 starter salads delivered to table with the fourth showing up when others were finished. 2 out 4 main meals arrived cold with the other 2 arriving at least 5 minutes later so really cold. Manager proudly asked how things were and when confronted with the MESS called a meal he scurried away like he didn't know mumbling we are just a small family restaurant. that being one reason we went to Capital Pizza in the first place - NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GO TO THIS PLACE we would rather starve (as we were when we left) but it wont cost us a outrageous amount for what we got. GO ACROSS THE STREET TO McDONALDS YOU WILL ENJOY IT MORE!

11 of us came here for a friends Birthday celebration. Prices were okay, a bit on the high end of things but not crazy. We had tickets to a show at 7:00, so we made reservations for 5:30 thinking 1.5 hours should be plenty of time to grab a bite before the show. Some of us even arrived a few minutes early. Here is a list of things that went wrong, in order of appearance: - It took almost an hour to get our appetizers. - They completely forgot to make one of our group member's appetizers, and brought it out after everyone else had already finished theirs. By that point they didn't even really want it, but took it to be polite. - We asked the waiter to put a rush on our meals, bring them out as soon as they were done, and prepare our separate bills because we only had half an hour to chow down and pay before the show started. - Meals finally arrived with about 10 minutes to spare, but they just plain forgot to make three people's order (two pizza's) and one drink order. - Manager offered to "make something quick like a grilled cheese or something" for those of us who didn't get to eat, but we had only 5 minutes to pay the bill and run, so we declined and some of our friends shared their meals with us. - One gal ordered the veal parmigiana and the veal was so tough she couldn't cut through it. - Got our bills; one couple who did receive their meals did not get charged for anything (including drinks) and those of us who didn't get our meals were charged for all drinks and appetizers plus another couple's appetizer (we settled up ourselves later to save time) Needless to say, we didn't bother leaving a tip. I can't imagine any of us willingly going back there. The food was good, but the service was the pits. Even the manager seemed pretty apathetic to the whole situation. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, you can get better bang for your buck almost anywhere else.

The food was good, but the service was incredibly slow. The worst part was the next day my entire family had intense stomach pains and were throwing up and running to the bathroom. This happened on Saturday April 23rd today is the 25 of April and my entire family is still dealing with food poisoning symptoms. I had only ever eaten at this restaurant once before and I will never go to this restaurant again!

Being a evacuee from Fort Mcmurray we where looking for a good pizza for take out. Heard a few reviews and read a few as well. We said what the hell and oredered. When we picked up the young girl was friendly and gave us a 15% discount. We thought that was very nice and thanked her. The pizza was an actual pizza with toppings, Pizza was about an inch thick and filled full of toppings. Simply awesome to see a bussiness can still make a good wholesome pizza. The ceaser was good with a tangy ceaser sauce and a nice size portaion for 2 of us. Thanks Capital Pizza for being true and making a good solid pizza that was actually filling. We will return again while in the area.

THe best Pizza place in St ALbert. The recent renovations are pretty cheaply done and you cant get away from the feeling that you are sitting in a restaurant from the 80's. THat said, the pizza is excellent, the staff are great and the speed of service superb. If you are in the area craving an old fashioned thick dough pizza with tons of fresh toppings and a mountain of cheese.....this is the place to go

The new management have done a great job in bringing the quality back into Capital Pizza. The renovations are modest but where long over due. The chef and staff have made the food absolutely great once again ! Their week days hours are limiting for the late night diners , when your in St Alberta it a great place to stop in for take out or dine in with family.

One of the worst meals I have had in this province. Disgusting!! The chef needs to learn how to cook. You do not put oregano in a french onion soup. They serve frozen fries and packaged hamburger patties that just disgustingly ooze out so much grease. If I could give this restaurant a negative star I would. I will never go back ????

The food was awesome and we fed 4 of us for less than $70 which was nice. I had the baked lasagna, personally I loved it, it was super meaty and tons of cheese. The kids portions were quite large as well. The staff was quite busy but still went out of their way to stop by and make sure we had everything and cleared our table quickly as well.

This is by far my most favourite place to go for pizza. The quality, friendliness of staff, and overall atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing. They are not cheap with the cheese, the food is always fresh and hot, and it’s a guarantee every time that it’s going to be absolutely delicious. I would recommend to anyone and will always return again and again.

Great dinner at a good price. 12oz ribeye for $30 with prawns and a potato. Very filling. Barley soup looked good as well. Bathrooms were clean. Place was tidy, albeit busy being the dinner hour. Dessert menu looked delightful but after steak was only able to slide some icecream down. Waitress was friendly and fairly efficient considering the amount of tables likely assigned to her.

Great food... bad service :(... The waitress that I had was mean, (I'm guessing because I'm young) but she was very rude and probably thought she wasn't going to get a tip so i didn't tip her because of her rudeness... when you get sit down at a restaurant usually the people working there are nice but didn't offer us drinks or anything then when she took our order she still didn't ask if we wanted drinks... just the little stuff.

I have never had a good experience to write anything good about Capital Pizza! Today Aug 13 at 7:50pm I got to the place and there were 2-3 people paying for their meals. I waited patiently for my turn to let the person at the counter know I wanted a table. 10-15 min later I get to the front of the line and I let the manager know that I wanted to eat. And he told me the kitchen was closed! Closed! I waited for 10-15 min for you to tell me that the kitchen was closed! He could have taken 3 seconds to say “If you’re waiting for a table the kitchen is closed.” And to add insult to injury I walk outside and the hours of operation were until 9:00pm! I went back in and asked why the kitchen is closed if your sign outside says your open until 9:00. He mumbled something to me that sounded like he had a mouth full of marbles and said again that the kitchen was closed! He didn’t say I’m sorry the kitchen was closed, he looked like he didn’t care about his potential customer, he was very coy and impersonal about it as if to say “I don’t care about you just leave the kitchen is closed” At this point I don’t care they have lost me as a potential customer and I will be letting everyone I know how they treat customers. I have read some of the reviews already and they are really bad! Do yourself a favour! don’t even bother going there, you can get better service at MacDonald’s or even the guy that sells hotdogs outside of Canadian Tire ! They call themselves a restaurant? I have gotten better service out of two 10 year olds selling lemonade for 25 cents a glass! Capital Pizza is the restaurant JOKE of St Albert!
