Best red curry I've had in a long time!
The food is absolutely delicious! I always crave their chicken pad Thai. And everyone is very nice! I highly recommend eating here.
Delicious!
Meh.
We had a wonderful meal, the curries had a good kick, staff were very friendly and accommodated dietary needs. Will be visiting again.
Food was edible but nothing special. Overpriced ($20 for a Pad Thai, $30 for a curry) and service took over an hour! Server kept sending us the wrong dishes and didn't know the names of what was being presented.
Save yourself some time, a lot of money and disappointment of the taste of their food. Portions were very small for the price. Food worth $70 was not even enough for 2 people. The taste OMG the taste! It was disgusting, not my first time eating Thai food but I can't even express my disappointment. Dint ask for a refund or compensation of any kind, after reading the reviews which I should have had done before even ordering, most people said the owner is extremely rude and i didnt wanna create a scene.
Gorgeous atmosphere in historic fire hall...comfy lounge chairs or booths....great food
I use to love this place. I always found the prices high but it was for amazing tasting food. not sure if I went on a bad night or if that's how it is now but I felt the food wasn't worth the price.
Good food but after eating I was visiting with my daughter who came into town for the 1st time in a year. I hadn't even finished my drink and even though the restaurant was empty and we were sitting out on the deck. The waitress came up and asked us to leave. The new customers were wanted to sit outside. But sorry we just dropped quite a few bucks and weren't finished I feel they didn't have the right to do that. Not impressed!

A pleasant dining experience over all. The food is top-notch in quality and flavor. Next time i would consider putting on a nicer shirt than the rutty old Tshirt I wore as the over all environment seems to emanate a higher end atmosphere.
Great service and food.
Great Thai food! Very authentic experience and the owner is very friendly. Found out most of the ingredients are actually imported from Thailand. Must check this out!
Great food, great service. One of our go-to places in the area.
It was great food. Would recommend
Best Thai food I've had in Canada. The venue is beautiful. Service was good and we were served promptly. The chef came out for an explanation of the dishes which was great. Highly recommend!
One star because the food was average and our server was sweet and friendly. But do not waste your time or money on this establishment. Management and owners have zero customer service, I work in the restaurant industry and have never been mistreated like this ever! We had a new server and we felt bad for him as he had no help and he had messed up a few of our orders. One of our friends had to eat alone as her dish was missed, only to find out they were out of her original order and by the time her food had arrived everyone at the table had finished eating. Management did not offer any apologies or anything to rectify the situation, and when we expressed our disappointment, they did not take any responsibility and continued to blame their server. I’m sorry, but that is not how you treat your guests or staff.
Dine in
Nice folks. Try the chicken wings.
Excellent food, attentive service
The place is run by teenagers. The kitchen is visible from seating area. I watched the “cooks”/kids eating, sticking their heads in food areas (as a joke?), putting things in their mouths then grabbing food to cook for customers. It was gross. Ordered a cocktail and after twenty minutes I watched the “bartender” grab ice, toss it in his hand then throw it in the drink. The drink was wrong, he clearly didn’t know what he was doing. I don’t know if there is any adult supervision at this restaurant but until there is, I’d avoid it.
Great thai food. Big portions. June, the thai lady owner gets authentic thai ingredients and changs (none important), great food
Poor service. Terrible food. Waste of money.
Ordered take-out from this place, and honestly really disappointing ????. Me and my partner ordered Pad Thai, satay gai and pahneang. To our shock, when we opened the lid, everything seemed dead and as if it came straight from the garbage ????. The Pad Thai was overly sweet and the noodles seemed musty, the satay gai chicken was like rubber and overly priced for just four pieces of chicken and the pahneang, which should had been medium spicy tasted very sweet and extremely oily, the curry of it was very watery and pink when you mix the curry ????. Overall did not like the prices of each item and extremely small portions. I would not recommend going to this restaurant, definitely a waste of time and money ????⚠️ IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE IT 0 STARS!!!!
Amazing Thai restaurant. Very authentic and flavorful!
Disappointed. Service terrible. No a/c.
The food here is ok but pretty expensive. $10 for spring rolls that didn't have much flavours. I also had a curry that was overly sweet.
Just had an awful experience here as my food was served cold several minutes before my dining partner's arrived. When I asked the owner about it I was blamed for its temperature as she claimed it got cold because I had been talking to my partner while we waited for his food. They insisted I paid full price and when I told them I was disappointed the owner muttered something under her breath and walked away from me. Unfortunately she became irate and then called the police on me for asking her to clarify her words.
First time here since they moved - fantastic new location combined with exceptional service and great food!!
Great food but no hot tea or coffee. Rushed atmosphere
Authentic Thai food. Who would have guessed in a small town. Great food.
Awesome choices, tasty beers, quick service and fast "slow" food! We will return ????
Service
Great food well priced.
Excellent food!
Delicious food!
Very good restaurant.
Great service, amazing food.
Great food and interesting renovation of the old firehall.
We had a date lunch here. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back again! It is wonderful to have a good Thai restaurant in town.
Mook Thai never disappoints. Come and eat in their Thai themed restaurant or order for take out. If you are a fan of spicy food this is an especially great option. They also have spice free options available.
Good, authentic, highly recommend.
Always excellent. An asset to the community.
Great little spot - good service; fresh, well made authentic food; not fancy nor too expensive, but perfect for what it is!
Great service, amazing food.
Excellent food
Very best restaurant in Rossland, guaranteed! The most amazing green curry I have ever had. I eat green curry wherever it is offered and Mook’s is second to none. The owners/chefs Mark and June were incredibly kind, not to mention talented at restauranting. This is the place to eat.
Excellent food, service and great atmosphere in the old fire hall!!
Worst restaurant food I’ve had in my entire life. I went here for the ambiance and to enjoy a nice anniversary dinner with my sweetie, I knew it would be on the pricier side but I didn’t realize how awful the food would be. Everything felt like it was coated in high amounts of sugar. Pad Thai ($20) was just super sugary mushy noodles with no bean sprouts, texture or acid. The other dish was just cheap boiled vegetables in oil for $17, definitely didn’t taste thai and just tasted like oil and sugar on celery carrots and corn. The beansprouts, mushrooms and other unique veggies were absent. Rice didn’t come with it, that was an extra $7. I left feeling sick from all the sugar. No complaints about the service but I don’t go to restaurants on special occasions to eat food that is super gross and makes me feel sick. Ruined the night so much it compelled me to write a review which I never do. Avoid at all costs. Super disappointed ????
Food quality was good, pretty tasteful. However, it’s not an aithentic thai place, the service was very slow with a bunch of teenagers working at the kitchen.
Great *authentic* Thai food with a good selection of food that’s not overwhelming to choose from. 4 stars only because it was a bit pricey for Thai food. Would come again, especially when one is sick of burger, fries and pasta.
The Mook Thai Lounge was a wondering experience! The restaurant had such a beautiful ambiance and the food was incredible! We shared the Tom Yum soup and spring rolls which hit the spot! Food was fast and service was great. Highly recommend!
Food is amazing, ambience is wonderful and June goes above and beyond with her customer service!
Great food and lovely owners/staff! Nice addition to the Rossland dining scene.
Visited this restaurant last weekend with my girlfriends, there were 7 of us. After giving our orders to the waiter, he immediately forgot my order and asked me to repeat it. Our meals started arriving one by one, not all at once. After the 6th girl received her meal, the waiter realized he forgot to enter my order in the system. At that point the first girl’s food was getting cold so everyone began eating. More time passed, the waiter returned to tell me they are sold out of what I ordered. Hungry and frustrated, I just ordered what my friend was eating. By the time my food arrived, 4 of my friends were done eating, plates cleared, and the other 2 were finishing up. I hurriedly ate alone not wanting to keep my friends waiting. After so many mistakes, we asked to speak to the manager. She did not try to make amends for the terrible service and no apologies were made. She did not take any ownership of the problem nor go out of the way to fix it. This restaurant by far offered the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. We were disappointed at how we were treated and we will never walk through those doors again.
It was great food. Would recommend
Excellent food, very authentic Thai. Friendly and kind owners.
Just had an awful experience here as my food was served cold several minutes before my dining partner's arrived. When I asked the owner about it I was blamed for its temperature as she claimed it got cold because I had been talking to my …
I want to give it more than a 3, but every time i've been to this restaurant it has been 'hit' or 'miss.' This place has a lot of potential... especially given the beautiful location. I find that the food usually ranges from mediocre to great. Service is usually mediocre (which I find the case with a lot of Kootenay restaurants). Last night our meals came out 5 minutes within each other (and we were sitting at a table of 4, so between the first and 4th meal there was about a 20 minute difference). I also found it weird that they didn't have a desert menu. Oh, and they also didn't have the ingredients to make a pina colada. I hope things get better! Thanks.
Food realy tasty, great servis!! Thanks ????
Great Thai food! Very authentic experience and the owner is very friendly. Found out most of the ingredients are actually imported from Thailand. Must check this out!
Went here in good faith that it was good. The noodles were over cooked and mush. The beef was inedible because of the tough fat in it. The amount of cornstarch in my Pad Ki Mao left my mouth with each bite I took more starchy and feeling revolted. The 3 dishes we ordered we couldn't even start eating it was so unenjoyable. I took the food in, was respectful of the space and kept my words select and toned. The chef/owner of the kitchen came out and was instantly trying to combat my words saying there is nothing wrong with the food saying that I don't know Thai food at all because I'm white and that she isn't willing to take a cut on the amount that it cost to make the dishes which would have been very minimal... rice noodles, fat for meat, cornstarch and a whole lot of rude unprofessional attitude. I was mocked, humiliated and yelled at and I was being calm and collected. Never going here again. Not worth 50$ for 3 bites and to be called down on so much. 5 stars for the servers though they were apologetic and amazing. I could tell they felt embarrassed for the owners rudeness. They got to the point where they were talking quietly so the owner didn't hear them apologizing to me.
Amazing food and even better cocktails.
I can’t believe what goes on at this restaurant. First of all, I went with a group of friends to this restaurant. We ordered our food and one by one, our food came; however, mine did not. So I waited and waited without complaint, until everyone was finishing up around me. I then asked the waiter where my food was and I was told that the owner/chef forgot my order and was making it right now. When my food finally came out, everyone had already finished and was waiting for me, and when I looked down at the plate, the portions were small for what I had paid. It was some kind of stir fried noodle, which I could have made at home. Everything at this restaurant is overpriced. I came here with great expectations, but left with disappointment and regret. Apart from the food, the owners are crazy. I had a friend who used to work here, who told me that the owners does not split the tips equally among the workers and sometimes, does not give the workers tips at all. A dishwasher was fired for asking for his tips one time. Also, when a customer is not happy with their products, she blames the customer. In addition, she has court cases, probably caused by her bad attitude. If you want to have this experience, come to this restaurant and they’ll give you the whole package.
Food was okay, overpriced for what we got ($30 for a curry). Slow service, and one of our friends food was completely forgotten. One of the servers never knew what it was that was being brought out.
Food was ok, but we only got half of it. When we asked about the second half the waiter said ‘no worries’ ...it didn’t seem to click. We eventually got the second half of our meal after about an hour and took it to go. Service was all over the place and it was hard to determine who exactly our waiter was. They barely acknowledged the screw up as well... too bad.
Great food!
Best Thai in Rossland...
Great food!
Incredible food and a beautiful restaurant. The duck curry and flower dumplings are amazing.
A friend suggested Mook for dinner during a recent visit. We were very pleased with the choice, everything was delicious, the service was great and fast. It's always a pleasure to meet the owners and feel their enthusiasm. They also showed us how to spice the dish which really changed the flavour.
All the food was excellent. Enjoyed seeing inside the 1900's fire hall too!
Great little spot - good service; fresh, well made authentic food; not fancy nor too expensive, but perfect for what it is!
Absolutely the best Thai and equally the same in service. 10 of us for dinner, just asked our beautiful host June to feed us and bring beer. Not disappointed. Wonderful flavors with a large variety of textures and presentations. Thanks June see you in the new restaurant in Osoyoos.
Food was great and an ample portion size. Service was awesome. Only thing that was a negative was that they had a drink menu with lots of choices but when I ordered one, they said they only had beer or wine...opted for a non alcoholic thai tea and it was delicious.
nice place and amazing food, really authentic, also they will open a new location in Kelowna.
Gorgeous atmosphere in historic fire hall...comfy lounge chairs or booths....great food
By far the best Thai food I've ever had in North America. Was pleasantly surprised to find it in Rossland! The owner is incredibly friendly and will gladly talk to you about any of the dishes served. Most of the ingredients are imported directly from her connections in Thailand, which I think probably makes the food taste better than the average North American Thai food.
The worst experience I've ever had in my life! We ordered the vegetarian Pad Thai, chicken Pad Thai and a Pad Ki Mao .. When we opened our styrofoam containers we were mortified to find: over cooked noodles, cornstarch overdose, rotten stems of vegetables as if dug out of a compost bin, fatty scanty pieces of what I think was chicken and the beef ?? I've never seen beef that looked like that before!! Too many disappointments to list. We got three forkfuls in and closed our takeout boxes in sheer disbelief that anyone would serve such garbage. The owner should be ashamed to let this garbage walk out the door and even more ashamed of her mistreatment to the customer!!! Who thought that with asking to please be refunded and why .. we would be degraded, yelled at, told that the chicken was too costly to lose money on, and on and on she wailed as We grew more embarrassed along with her waitstaff. Numerous apologies by the poor women who work for this tyrant of a business owner .. over $50 for inedible meals that I drove all the way to Rossland for .. the abuse I choked down from this business owner was almost as rancid as her food. We were told that we didn't understand Thai food as if to say we were stupid .. We were mocked, degraded, and laughed at because she said she could and there was nothing we could do about it .. my thoughts .. steer clear of the Bad Thai at this Mad Thai restaurant ..
Great food, great service!
Excellent food and fantastic service. Food was magnificent. Flavourful, all the individual flavours came through with perfect seasonings. Crisp veggies, noodles cooked just right and delicious sauces. Absolutely worth a visit
June's good is absolutely delicious and excellent quality. We ordered the Tom Kah soup, Pad Kee Mow noodles, and the Green Curry--all vegan and all AMAZING! Very strong authentic Thai flavors! We especially loved the coconut rice we ate with the curry! It was made fresh and oh so moist!
Very good Thai
Was closed even though hours showed it open.

Nice atmosphere for an intimate evening. Very delicious dishes and amazing craft cocktails. The chef/owner was very friendly and came out to visit me and my date.
Good food good prices
Well, an expensive place for not much to offer. When you order curry you have to order rice with it. Rice is not included which doesn’t make any sense. I have never been to a place that offers curry with no Rice included in the price. My meal drunken noodles with shrimp had only two prawns in it. We have ended up paying $90 US for 4 cheaper meals and soup to share. No drinks.
