I've eaten Zala's take out quite frequently over the years, my whole family and I loved their pizza. I say loved in the past tense as we ordered from them last night and that was NOT the usual Zala's pizza we've grown to love over the years. We've been loyal customers, and continue to return because we love the old pizza recipe. Revelstoke is a mostly Italian community, and being so there is a lot of pizza competition here. My family comes in from all over the province, and when they do, the very first night in town was a Zala's pizza night, every time without fail. But if they continue to use this new lackluster pizza recipe, we won't be returning. For those other pizza aficionado's reading this and wanting to seek an alternative in Revelstoke, I highly recommend Emo's pizza as a good fall back. Or take your chances with a Cooper's Foods pizza, as it seems to be the exact same pizza recipe as this new Zala's pizza recipe. Sorry Zala's, but consistency is key to a good restaurant, PLEASE, PLEASE, go back to the good ol' recipe!?!

We were in Revelstoke for the weekend for my brothers birthday, we went to Zalas and we ended up on a waiting list for 30 minutes to get in. We all sat down and ordered steak meals, we ended having to wait 2hrs after she took our order to find out where our food was, which at that point wasnt even put on the gril. Meanwhile the other table behind us arrived later and had an appetizer within 20 minutes and not to mention the table that brought there own lasagna to the bar and had better service then us. I’ll never be returning to this restaurant again.

I suffer from a pre existing condition that leaves me unable to mask up. The hostess would not let us enter and demanded we did. Simply to walk over to our table and unmask. I will not comply and took my money elsewhere. Masks should be choice.and not enforced by criminal mandates unlawfully placed on people.. i will not be returning and am glad to leave any establishment that doesnt care for my $$$$

Great pizza and service, I've only ever liked one other pizza and this is the place, the pizza is crunchy but not hard, cheese is literally melty, lots of sauce and the pepperonis are just the right size, would totally go back and eat there again.

Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing experience. My wife and I were staying at a hotel near by and decided to go out for dinner at Zalas. There were so many choices for dinner but we decided to give them a shot because of the selection on their menu. It was a 15 minute wait but we were so glad that we decided to wait. I had the 7 oz lobster tail and my wife "built" a seafood pasta. We both agreed it was one of the best meals we have had! Blew our typical Red Lobster date out of the water (pun intended). Receipt says our waitress was Michele and she was incredible! Best service we had our entire trip. All and all one of the best dining experiences we have had and we look forward to travelling through again one day and will definitely be stopping at Zalas for dinner.

Excellent food, Pasta sauces are all individually made to order, not pre-made. I have eaten the seafood Fettuccine ( my favorite) lots of prawns and scallops, the seafood penne Pasta, Ceasars salad excellent fresh washed Romain. Service was excellent.

I'm from Calgary and often make the long road trip through the mountains to the west coast. This was our first overnight in Revelstoke. Our hotel recommended Zalas and I'm so glad they did. I ordered the Zalas steak and I regret nothing. This was one of the best steak meals I've ever had (that's saying a ton considering the beef quality in Alberta). I've eaten steak meals in much more expensive and "high end" establishments that just don't hold a candle to the cut and flavor combination offered here. You gotta eat here!

We picked this place because it was conviently located beside our hotel. The food was delicious and servings were bigger than I expected. Only 2 of my kids were able to finish their meals and they are all big eaters. I will definitely go back next time we're in revelstoke.

I decided to wander in and try the take out at this respectable looking place after having tried several of their competitor’s meals it’s only fair to give them a try. Anyway upon wandering in I was amazed at the size of the place, it’s cavernous! The place was busy but it’s so big that it was hard to find anyone. Nice very comfy decor, polite staff and the food was quite good, my only real disappointment was the price and the smaller portions, although the quality of the good was really very good and the taste was also quite good, the price was considerably higher than most other places in town for similar fare and almost double for similar selections at places in the lower mainland, regardless I know this is a resort town so one has to be prepared to pay higher prices I guess.

We had an amazing meal at Zala’s Steak and Pizza. My husband had the teriyaki steak with baked potatoes and veg. The steak was cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth delicious. I had the Greek Ribs, soooo tender and flavourful. The kids had spaghetti (meat sauce was unlike anything i’ve ever tasted, and the hamburger was delicious as well. We had such a good meal, we expected nothing but perfection for dessert and ordered the raspberry cheese cake. It met our exceeded our expectations. Good value, and good sized portions! Thanks for the awesome meal, we will remember for next time we come through Revelstoke!

Pretty looking but overall mediocre slow cooker ribs. Dry and rather tough. Asked for a replacement and they kindly obliged. Still below average but great service. If you’re travelling through it’s worth a stop, but maybe avoid the ribs? The baked potatoes looked amazing, definitely getting one next time. They bring out a mini buffet of potato toppings!

Disappointing food. Terrible service. Stopped in for a bite and a break from a long day of driving, both of us very hungry. I got the steak, bf the lasagne. Overpriced food prepared with zero professional effort. When the server stopped by to ask how it was, we were politely honest. We were not offered to order a different menu item, but told ‘that’s how they make it, another will come exactly the same.’ The food was left at the table, left on the bill, and no employee came back to the table. As an industry professional, it was a disappointment to waste an hour for a hastily prepared shrug of a meal and such unprofessional front of house staff.

There is so much that went wrong, ill just make it short and to the point. It took too long to take our order. When our starters arrived we had no utensils. We starred at our salads for 10 minutes before the waitress finally returned with them. Then our food arrived. We asked for salt, pepper and vinegar and waited again a long time for them to arrive. The waitress walked past us 3 times before finally delivering them about 5 minutes later. Also had to ask a few times for refills on my water. Final issue ill mention, ordered a kids lasagna and an adults. Adults was $10 more and had barely a few extra bites worth. The meat in it tasted like chesp ravioli meat. Overall, I'd look for somewhere else to eat next time I'm in town.

Restaurant was more than half empty and we’re being told that it’s a 30 + minute wait. I get it. There’s COVID staffing issues. There are more than enough tables for the waiting patrons. If the kitchen is over busy, fine we get it but why not sit us and let us have some drinks while we wait. Spoke to the manager and he was about as helpful as a popcorn fart…maybe as a manager you should get on the floor and hustle to help your team…... Not impressed at all.

Watched as a hostess chased down a family and verbally got in there face at the table. I usually eat here after sledding but the whole time I felt like I was in a Prison, not a restaurant. Horrible service and the food was meh for the price. Ill never be back after this experience.

Enjoyed a meal here with my family tonight. Service was fair, and the phone was a little above average. It was pricey. My wife ordered the teriyaki stirfry. Its 18 dollars without a protein, and 26 dollars with added chicken to make it chicken teriyaki. I ordered a 12oz sirloin. Was around 30 dollars. Was tasted, but needed more seasoning overall. Solid cook on the medium rare. Each meal is to come with garlic bread, which we never received. Average experience decent food , but expensive.

Reasonable price, good taste, maybe I got unlucky service and meal were slow, and it wasn't quite correctly prepared. They were generous with cheese, and skimped on butter. The black painted ceilings and dark grey walls make the entire restaurant feel dark, the pendulum light at each table does provide plenty of light.

Terrible service. Took over an hour for our food to come. What I was served was not what I ordered so I waited for the waitress to come back meanwhile I ate some food from everyone else. The waitress came back once everyone had finished eating so we complained about the wrong dish, asked for our bill and left. Would not recommend.

Had a fantastic dinner here last summer. Were it not for the Covid issues and a messed up back I would be back at Revelstoke on my motorcycle right now. Zalas was recommended by my hotel and the meal did not disappoint. Zalas had a large and varied menu which is really appreciated on a road trip like the one that I was on late last summer. So many restaurants have about one-third to half the menu choices at Zalas. I look forward to a return trip once we get the all clear to cross borders and get back to normal life.

This is my first review only because this has to be the worst way of doing business I’ve ever seen. We were not offered a table, the rationale was that “we don’t want the kitchen to get backed up” the place is virtually empty, give us a seat and we will drink until the kitchen is ready for our order. Very disappointing we ended up going to Emo’s, seated right away and drink in hand. Oh well, we gave you a second chance Zella’s never again.

Didn’t feel like cooking tonight so ordered a pizza from Zalas. Have been a fan of this restaurant for many many years. Menu has a great selection of different foods/favourites from steaks,to seafood to pasta and of course one of the best pizzas in town. Fantastic food and even better service! I was on a road trip with my 6 year old nephew and stopped at Zala's for pizza. After leaving & driving half way to Golden he remembered he left his tablet on the table in the restaurant. I called & spoke to the owner. He quickly found the lost tablet! The very next day he placed it in the mail for us. It arrived quickly and made a very happy 6 year old smile! Now that is service!!! Lesson learnt...For everyone's sanity, no 6 year old should be without a tablet on a road trip!

Had the best steak dinner here tonite that I have had in a long time. Drinks, appy and meal were superb. Free dessert for my birthday as well. Hubby had the chicken parm and said it was the best he has had in a long time as well. Definitely recommend stopping by here. The pizzas look amazing as well.

Just went in for a nice dinner as we are stopping through the town. We ordered shrimp and had a very small portion as well over priced for what you get. Service was not good our sever came by maybe twice not even to check up on us. As well there was probably as least 10 workers that walked by our table with empty glasses and a dirty dish and not one would offer to take it away. Overall I would have liked better service and been a bit friendlier.

Friendly service (4/5 star service in general) but the food wasn't good - my steak grill/char was good but over cooked along with my vegetables, alfredo was very bland with broccoli in it, cocktails were so-so. Disappointed that I spent $$ on any of it. I will not go back.

I had the pep and mushroom pizza along with a order of honey garlic chicken wings. I think it is top 3 for best pizza I ever ate. Even the last piece was still hot and I ate the chicken wings first. Service was ok. Would recommend for sure if you are spending time in Revelstoke.

BEST PIZZA IN REVY - we love the straight up 4 cheese pizza. It’s saucy with a luxurious amount of cheeses that blend perfectly together. The crust is the right amount of crispy & they are quick friendly service. We also love ordering the pepperoni & Mediterranean veggie option!

Ignore the other reviews this place is pretty good! Fun atmosphere and the food is quite good. Their drinks are also super good and well priced. The spinach and artichoke dip with homemade pita bread was our favourite!

Omg it was the best steak ever. I had the sirloin with mushrooms and onions. I tell you there was so much mushrooms and onions, wow I've never had that many. I had several choices but I chose spaghetti w/meatsauce because my grandson was with me. In case he didn't like his wings I could share. He loved his honey garlic wings and I loved my steak. For the amount and quality of the food the price was extremely reasonable. I'll definitely go again as will my oldest daughter and my grandson. I highly recommend this place.

Our dinner was disappointing at best tonight Oct 24. We were told that Caesar salad and potato skins were not available. Our Calamari was hot and tasty. Our steak Oscar and New York steaks were only just warm. Both plates had veggies Luke warm/to cold. My prawns and Hollandaise sauce were barely warm. It had to have been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. No steak dinner should come with cold cooked vegetables. Not good. Our server took a while 15% off our bill. We paid over $68 for 1 drink, 1 appetizer and 2 cold steak dinners. We have eaten at zala’s when we travel thru. We won’t be back. Our server Danielle was nice but she should have not charged for cold food.

My first time in Revelstoke....and Zalas was recommened among others from the Sandman Hotel staff... Ceasar sald..garlic toast and Prawn penne in Napolean sauce delivered to my room in far less time than anticipated...very nice dinner after a 14 hour day starting from Vancouver at 4:30 a.m. Thank you... Will definately recommend Zalas to the crew should we wiñ the contract for new signage in Revestoke. Well done folks...

Went for dinner with a friend i ordered lemon peppered wing horrible (lemon juice and pepper ) gross very soggy...my friend ordered a peppercorn steak for $32.00 it was a 8 ounce steak with two pieces of broccoli and 4 slices of carrot with a small baked potato ..save your money eat elsewhere

We were in city to stay for a night. This restaurant was recommended by hotel staff so we ordered Mediterranean pizza. It was a huge disappointment when we opened the pizza box. It was a worst pizza we ever had. Not to mention it was expensive. Such a waste of money as we ended up throwing it. Sigh!

We just went for drinks and our server was Julia. She was excellent!! I was not sure which cocktails I wanted to try but she knew what I would like and made the perfect choice for me. She even made a special cocktail that wasn’t on the menu (chocolate+martini) which is by far one of the best cocktails I’ve ever tried!! I would give her 10 stars for service if I could!!!!

Came with a group of 6 parents, 6 young adults. Took 30 minutes for 2 appetizers to arrive and another 40 minutes for main entreés. Speaking for the young adults table we ordered 4 steaks, 1 pizza, and ribs. None of which arrived with the garlic toast that they were supposed to come with.(and never came). Overall we were sat down at 7:30pm and finished eating around 9:20 and paid by 9:30. I wish I could call it a decent dining experience but 2 stars because atleast we were fed.

Ok so i am a local born and raised in revelstoke order from zalas many times and in the last few years the service there has gotten horrible ordered tonight and they forgot one of the items ordered so I called to ask about it and the waitress put the manager on and he called me a liar this has happened five times in the past year unfortunately there is not many options for food in this town so have to keep coming back lol but just a heads up they will try to railroad you if they make mistakes

The food was delicious. But the food took a long time. It was busy last night. I think normally it would of been fine for the 40mins wait but we had 2 hungry sleepy kids and wanted to get back on the road. We only drive through Revelstoke on our way to Vancouver, so we probably wouldn't stop here again. It is just because we like non fast food for our family but not a super long stop. During the summer if it is nice, I could see us pre ordering a pizza and taking it to the park during a stop. I hope this helps.

It's okay, nice spot in town. Nice food options, the steak was very good, but the beer menu is limited to 2 / 3 items on tap, and not great. Staff was okay, better near the end. Also, lots of room if you're a group.
