You have the reviews of real people like you who used the services of The Village Idiot Bar and Grill (Restaurant) in the area close to Revelstoke (Canada).
At this moment the business has a rating of 4.5 over 5 and this score has been based on 127 reviews.

You know that we don't usually bother to write feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Bar & grill.
Excellent food, great service. Very covid friendly. I had the coconut carrot ginger soup, which was dairy free and deliciously ginger, as a side to the recommended pulled pork. Overall, a very memorable experience.
It's not a bad place but it's not amazing either. I guess it's just not memorable. It's okay. It is a great place for beers. Service was decent and food portions were good however missing flavor. The cheesecake was good.
Great place! My favorite place to eat in the BC Rockies! Food is great. Staff are awesome. Prices so low they are almost free. Make sure to stop here everytime I go throught town
Nice people, nice food, no air conditioning and service can be a little on the slow side
Great local spot for food and basic drinks. I've never had bad food here. Service is either fine or great. Never had bad or terrible service. It all really depends on staffing and how full things get. Being a non-pork eater I can wish the burgers didn't have pork in them, but kudos for using a local meat supplier regardless!
My husband and I had a fantastic time in Revelstoke for a weekend get away. We had dinner at The Village Idiot Saturday night and enjoyed it so much we spent most of the following Sunday there as well watching football, eating great food and making new friends :) The food was so good! Our server Michelle made us feel so welcome! A huge shout out to her for great service! We met Erik Sunday and can't say enough on how we were treated. He was awesome and we walked away feeling like family :) This place is a must if you are visiting Revelstoke!
I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of this place and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The food and service was very good. Lots of local pics and interestingly decorated. I certainly would recommend for something different from the conventional.
Great dinner of pasta, pizza and beer. They had a local film festival of shorts while we were there with skate, surf and ski movies that was super fun.
There is one word I can use: flavorless. all the food we ordered was flavorless or overcooked, the mini burgers were dry, the noodles with the mango curry had no flavor, the peanut curry sauce was ok but I ordered steak and if I got 5 pieces was a lot. This used to be a good place, I don't know what happened.
Great meal and atmosphere. The long island ice tea with lime slush is recommended by my motorcycling buddies!!!!
Lovely interior and lively crowds. Almost always busy but the food is incredible. Super big pizzas and best poutine in town!
Sat on they patio and had pizza on the recommendation of a friendly local gentleman who saw us trying to appease our to kids, one who wanted pizza and one who wanted to sit on a patio. The pizza was delicious especially the crust which was thin and tender. Our kids never eat the crust and were fighting over it. The White wine I had was nice and refreshing as promised. We ordered a large pizza and ate it all between 4 of us.
Friendly and we got seated quickly (on a weekday). I have heard that it gets quite busy. Ordered a custom large pizza for the two of us. Very filling and quite tasty. Recommended!
Busy busy place with local Revelstoke beer on tap named, Mt. Begbie. This beer is "The Joy of Thirst", their words not mine. We had the bread twist bites as a snack. The pizza and other meals around us looked and smelled great. The ski lodge theme was interestingly trendy but for me, a little over the top. Thanks for the beer ...
Loved the food, a must when your in Revelstoke
Such a great atmosphere and tasty comfort food. For us as English travellers it really gave us what we expected from an outdoorsy town such as revelstoke, whcih otherplaces failed to portray.
I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious, the side of fries were also incredible. Service was fast. Everyone was really nice. Thanks! If I come back to Revelstoke I will definitely be coming back here.
Cool funky bar! Had the nachos. Very good and huge portion.
Stopped in for an early lunch passing through Revelstoke. Got in right away and we sat on their nice patio. Great service, ordered the Philly bites and wings. Had a very good caesar, food was delicious and they had some very interesting things on the menu at reasonable prices. We will be back!
Tasted like a bums nutsack. A burnt nutsack.from east Hasting St in Vancouver
Great food, friendly staff, fun ski vibe, kid friendly! Great pizza, excellent burger, solid pub fare all around!
Great tacos, great service ???? try the pickled Irishman, won't regret it ????
Some of the best pizza in town or anywhere. My favorite patio in town. If you're going for dinner during summer or winter you should arrive early to get a table or be prepared to have a long wait.
Sat on the patio one night, enjoyed our food and drinks and even returned the next night and got a takeout pizza. Lots of space, all the staff wearing masks, sanitizer at front door, digital menus (pull it up on your phone). Overall, good experience. Would go back.
Lunch
I'll admit we went into the place because of the name and it's quite fun inside. The kids took a lot of pleasure out of the name and environment and they keep telling people we went here! The food is your average fare, so if you are looking for classics and comfort food like burgers and pizza you should check this place out!
Amazing staff and a very cozy atmosphere. It reminds my of being in a ski lodge with friends. Really good gluten free pizza. Any time I'm in Revelstoke we end up at this place.
Meal type
Fantastic food, great bar, and terrific staff. Definitely a cool place to check out if your in town.
Wicked staff, solid beer selections, decent eats!
I like their meals. The large pizza is really huge. We ordered three meals for five people. It was really enough for us.
This is the best ski town bar ever!! Great pub grub, beers & people. Speaking of people… 5 stars to Gord!! Community points because today I was the village idiot and got my partners van stuck in the snow ???? Gord was so kind to borrow me one of the bars shovels & successfully got out of the snow. I even tried to leave money though he said it was okay.. Due to being socially awkward, I left $5 & ran! Rock on Gord, cultivate the vibe ???????? We will find a way to pass on the act of kindness. - Britt & Joel
This place was a great introduction on our first visit to Revelstoke. The Kitchen Sink Burger is a meal that you won't find anywhere. Corn Fritters are made with the stickiest corn known to mankind but delicious. Pulled Pork is perfectly savory. Nice patio atmosphere and great service.
Great local watering hole/ski lodge vibes with equally great food. Huge fan of the poutine. I'd like to return the next time I'm in Revy and try the massive pulled pork poutine. Burger and pizza are also quite good. The pizza has a unique crust that looks like braided bread, coupled with very good topping combinations. Burger was fresh and juicy -- not much more you can ask for there. Definitely a recommend for any other out of town visitors!
Best burger I’ve had to date. The kitchen sink. A must try!
Fun spot for drinks and pub food. Nothing fancy, but overall a good experience.
Best bar in revy. Coming from an avid bar-goer from Madison, WI- this was the perfect night out after a long day of boarding/skiing. Great food, good beer, skiing movies on tv, and amazing service. Bartenders (JP and and Eric) introduced themselves with a handshake, remembered our names, and kept us entertained all night. Wish we had stayed there all night, but we decided to check out the rest of the bar scene (and were incredibly underwhelmed). Definite must-do for anyone visiting.
Went here because of the good reviews. Cool looking place but very bad service. We had to seat ourselves and the waitress looked at us a few times but never came over. Waited ten min. When we got up to leave they finally tried to hand us a menu. It was only 4pm. Not busy.
The Kitchen Sink burger was quite the handful but worth it! Great service, too.
Very friend restaurant. While the restaurant is almost closed, they are willing to take customers with reminder that kitchen will be close soon so just order quick and we can dine with our time. QR code for touch less menu is interesting, food are delicious. The Carbonara is really awesome and tasty. Highly recommended and will come again.
Amazing atmosphere, great food, fantastic crowd.
We stopped in enroute to the Okanagan for dinner as it was recommended for Celiacs. I had the tacos (not gluten free) and my daughter had the GF pizza. All was delicious and the pizza was safe for my daughter! Super friendly staff.
Had a great time here. Menu has everything for somebody. Great atmosphere, great mix of music. Our waitress, Alex, was nothing short of amazing. Keep up the great work, I will definitely be back here again when in town next.
Great atmosphere but the pizza was expensive and pretty sparse on the toppings. I think they just waved the sauce and cheese containers over the dough. My husband enjoyed his burger though. A bit pricey all in all.
I was treated very well two nights in a route by different servers. Food was very good. And the Begbie beer was great. Found my new local watering hole. Thanks to Jenny and Erik! Message me feel welcome.
Best pizza I've ever had. My dad and I shared a large pepperoni, it was a little too much for us, definitely recommend the small for <2 people. Choice of sitting inside or outside but outside was full when we got there. Will be back for more!
Great food and drink specials. Staff was responsive and friendly
The best, just the best place in bc to eat after a day of skiing. There is always a ski/snowboard movie (in the winter) playing. The food is over the top good for a bar, the decor will keep the conversation going even with the most boring people. Sit at the bar and feel like a friend, the staff gets to know you and is extremely helpful. The Village Idiot is Revelstoke
The staff were great, very quick, friendly service even though they were busy. Tried a variety of cocktails which were very reasonably priced. Good was pretty good, portions we're very large.
Good food and atmosphere always on my must stop in list
Over priced & expensive, unnecessarily convoluted menu and mediocre tasting food. Yup, it's a bar trying to be hip. Oh also, the bathroom is just awful and has graffiti everywhere. Should be called Yikea.
Walking in, I expected typical pub food, but I was so wrong! The food here is excellent. I've been back several times now (every time we go past Revelstoke, we have to stop here now). Every thing we've tried has been excellent. The pizza is remarkable, and the "Philly Cheesesteak Spring Rolls" are a must!
Got the umami bowl. Most of it was good, including the crispy tofu. The Brussel sprouts really weren't great though, they were quite tough, felt undercooked and some were really bitter. I usually love Brussel sprouts so i was pretty disappointed.
Amazing restaurant in Revelstoke that plays to ski slopes and nerd culture. The menu is an enjoyable read in itself. We ordered a poutine, clam linguine and a burger along with different Ceasar's. Everything was fantastic. Service was great.
Excellent food.... philly rolls and the pulled pork sandwich = delicious. Great service.
Great service! Friendly staff! Food was ok. I had a stir fry and my family had poutine. None of the meals had a lot of flavour. We didn't have any drinks, but the drink menu looked really good, and might be a great place to stop for one.
I liked this place. The location itself has a hip, eclectic vibe with it's unique, winter sport-inspired decor. When I was visiting, they had a live musician performing older blues tracks, which was great - had an "Inside Llewyn Davis" vibe. The service was prompt and friendly throughout, even though it was fairly busy. I tried their "Better Burger" while my girlfriend tried their Chicken Pesto sandwich (the actual name was way longer, quite a few food items have humorous names, which is a nice touch). Both sandwiches were very good, particularly the sauces on them - my burger had a sort of house relish, which added a unique flavour to the burger, and the pesto was rich and tasty. The biggest let down were the sides - the fries and garden salad just weren't quite up to snuff. The fries could have used a bit more seasoning and the balsamic dressing on the salad just wasn't that good. Overall, though, I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to give this place a try.
Food was very good but not so much service would not suggest ever going there if u ever see a line lol Other then that it was awesome good food n beer n dogs r welcome
Good service. Really cool vibe. If you want the biggest burger you've ever seen, get the Kitchen Sink burger. It was amazing!
This place gets packed fast and they have a door greater helping people get seated. We ordered drinks and a small pizza. It was a good amount of food for the small (12") but the large (18") is a much better deal, only $5 more, if you want to split with more people. They have an interesting menu and drink selection so I can see why this place is popular.
Really cool place. Good upbeat atmosphere. I only had buffalo wings and a specialty caesar but I was very happy with both. The Bartenders were fast and friendly and really helped make the ambience uplifting. I'd recommend popping by this place and I'll certainly return sometime soon.
Awesome food at a reasonable price. Awesome servers and great atmosphere. The patio is classic in the summer . occasionally a line up so pays to go a bit before the 6 o'clock rush.
First time there. Place was clean, bathrooms could use some maintence. However... We had a miss piggy luau pizza. 10/10 would eat again. The crust was beautifully done, the pulled pork, and brisket was fantastic, good mix with the pineapple, onions and hot peppers. Will go back here to eat again!!!!!
Pretty neat little pub / restaurant. Skiing themed, chairs are backed with old skis and lots of ski paraphernalia all around the place. …
Located in beautiful downtown Revelstoke, this ski-themed pub has adrenaline-sports videos playing and a relaxed atmosphere. Service is excellent, but during the busy seasons, expect to wait if you are not early, no reservations taken. Food selection is better than typical of Canadian pubs, generous servings and great flavour, with a number of great extras including amazing pizzas, stir frys and pasta dishes. At the bar, I'd recommend you try one of the local Begbie Brewery creations on tap.
Great pub with amazing staff a delicious food. -parking option -polite staff -great food -great drinks -unique atmosphere -lunch specials Deserve to visit and spend some cash here!
Great food. Sat at the bar after being asked for vaccination records etc. Very busy with Monday night football. However, I suspect we met two of the village idiots. I somehow suspect they made it by the screening and sat next to us. Continuing their love for beer and cannabis. Friendly at first , but soon began to mock the visitors at the bar. When leaving we were accosted with a hug from the stranger which in hindsight was completely inappropriate. A laugh from an anti-vaxxer. HaHa. Take that, see how your vaccines will work for you now. Sure showed those seniors!! We are generally very impressed with the lovely friendly people in Revelstoke. Fabulous establishments with awesome food. We will return but will be more careful next time and not let our guard down.
Perfect place for a tasty burger after a long day out in the mountains. Menu is fun and has a great variety of interesting choices. Atmosphere is second to none and I would have loved to stay longer but was too tired from the day of skiing. Other tables got their food before we did (same number of people) which was slightly disappointing but otherwise a good experience.
Stopped for a night in Revelstoke on our way to Banff. Village Idiot gave us a welcome summertime dose of ski-town life. Pizza, salad, and a tasty pint hit the spot, service was friendly, quick, and attentive; patrons were cheerful and full of local banter. Patio was closed due to rain but I’m sure it’s grand. Large pie and two small salads filled us both for dinner in-house and with enough for lunch the next day.
Great place and atmosphere, felt safe during covid Awesome pizza here, just got a basic pepperoni and had an awesome crust
Minus 5 stars if I could. No idea how the food is because we left. We walked in, there was no hostess and no hostess desk and no sign to indicate we had to wait (it’s actually out of the way in a wall we only noticed on the way out). The hostess came to the table we chose and told us we had to go back to the front to wait then proceeded to take the names of all the people that had walked in after us! I pointed this out and she totally ignored the fact that we were obviously there first. Horrible service. We went to Nico’s Pizzaria instead and it was awesome.
It's the best place to go in the evening and make sure to come early. Love the food and drinks, can't wait to come back.
Easily some of the nicest bartenders I have ever met. Ski-towns can be a little 'locally' but that hasn't been my experience in Revelstoke. Eric and Gord reached over the bar and shook the hand of anybody who sat at the bar. The food is solid, the drink selection is solid, and the people are super solid. Definitely worth a visit.
Everything in Revelstoke is overpriced The Village Idiot being no exception, but the food was good!
Awesome locals spot in downtown Revelstoke! Food was really good, great selection of beers and the bartenders were super friendly. We sampled their stir fry and one of the chicken sandwiches, left us full and nourished. Fun atmosphere, definitely worth a stop!
Food was fantastic, place had a great vibe, and the service was prompt and friendly. Atmosphere is warm and cozy without feeling cramped and as a ski bum myself, I appreciated the little touches. You can tell the staff and owners have a lot of fun and don’t take themselves too too seriously, but take their customers and their food very seriously. Thanks for the great experience, I’ll definitely be back!
If you want a pub that just SCREAMS Revelstoke this is it! Great atmosphere, amazing menu (especially for vegetarians!), local craft pints plus skis and snowboards crafted into seating and decor! A must if you want to feel like a local
The pizza here is amazing! The beer is good. This is definitely a favorite! The Double Cheeseburger Pizza is definitely my favorite!
Great food, awesome drinks.
Erik the bartender and staff were super friendly and fun to chat with. Got to learn about the area through them when passing through too. The good food and drink were a plus!
Great beer, great food, friendly.
Beers are 35.41c an oz for a $4.25 12oz sleeve, and 37.5c an oz for a $7.50 20oz sleeve. Fantastic risk-less arbitrage opportunity in such a volatile market, get in before it’s gone.
Atmosphere is everything here. The menus and names of the food were pretty cool. Ordered two appies and a pizza; they couldn't find half my order but my husbands pizza apparently was delicious. They gave me the appy that was cooked instead of my appy and then advised they weren't able to find what I actually ordered. It was a little bit of a cluster. What we did have was good though.
The bacon infused Cesar.... wow! It was fantastic, you could taste the bacon in the drink. So wel done. The pizza was amazing too. Great fresh toppings and the dough was perfect. The space is fun, bright and open. A great hangout after a day on the hill or doing some shopping downtown.
Great place if you a looking for a decent meal while passing through Revelstoke. The restaurant has alot of character the theme is mostly skiing related so you will see lots of snowboards and skis mounted on walls and doors, it has a large outdoor patio with lots of seating the staff is pleasent and the food is delicious. Definitely a must visit.
Just ate there. It was excellent! The stirfry is amazing. Our 13 year old had the pizza and said it's really good. I tried some....she ain't kidding. Great service, good portions and a very relaxed atmosphere the whole family can enjoy. Staff were very helpful and we're very knowledgeable about the beers they served from the local brewery which were extremely good I might add! If I lived in Revelstoke I'd be in there at least once a week, but I don't so I'll have to settle for whenever we drive through town. We will return! Awesome job guys!
Great apres ski. I had the stir fry which was delicious. Hamburgers were good and the pizza looked amazing. The service is excellent and it's obviously well managed. Definitely worth a visit.
Crazy busy, but in a good way! Everyone knows the food, service, and drinks here are excellent. They don't take reservations, but you won't wait as long as you expect either. Mandatory for the Revie experience :)
Cool spot. Pizza was really good. Solid place but not writing home to mom about it. A lot of food on the menu was unavailable when I was there. Service was great.
Had a pizza and beer. It’s kind of like treat pizza (gooey sugar bread), but it’s good. Service was great.
Took my daughter and son-in-law recently, they really liked it. They both work in high class restaurant. The service is better at the bar. The barman even came say hi to them at the table the next day. We had only 2 beers.
Best patio in town. Decorated with tons of ski equipment and pizazz. Staff are extremely friendly much like everyone you’ll meet in Revelstoke. And they have food. And beer. So that’s pretty cool.
I liked the atmosphere but service and food were just ok...
We were seated very quickly on a September Friday night. Service was prompt and food was good. The fries that came with the burger were especially tasty. Also enjoyed the clam pasta.
We were in town for the night, and this looked a decent place to eat. It was really busy inside, with plenty people eating. We soon got seated and ordered food/drinks. The lady server was polite and friendly, and it didn't take long for our food to arrive. Big portions that we real tasty, went down a treat, along with cold beers. Well worth eating here, would recommend if you're in town.
Might be one of the few “Worlds best” or “world famous” tag line using places that lives up to it. In this case they are talking about their pizza. Every bite was delicious. Even heating up the leftovers the next day on a pan I was drooling for more. Great vibe and atmosphere as well.
For some reason they were only able to make about half of the items on the menu, we weren't told why, and they were not totally clear upfront which items weren't available. The food I did have, which was not my first (or second, or even third) choice, was nothing special. I had them take back and remove the Caesar salad from the bill as the dressing was pretty flavourless. Pasta was just OK. Pizza that we ordered for the table was actually pretty good.
Super delicious pizza, I can't get over their crust! It's basically like getting parmesan bread sticks after finishing eating the rest of your pizza. We made sure to stop here for lunch on our way home from Banff and it was a great choice!
The kitchen sink burger is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten in my life. Pizza was just so-so.
Loved this place, ate several things off the menu during my trip and everything I tried was delicious! Great unique menu, I sat mostly at the bar and the guys behind the counter were friendly every visit. Great place and a must try in Revelstoke!
Delivery
Caesar was top notch. Pizza are all crazy creations but HUGE and delicious. All round wicked experience. Fully recommend
Great atmosphere and style. Food was delicious. Shared a pizza and salad
Blues burger is amazing!
Lively pub with good food and great drinks.
Pulled pork pizza was tasty a little light on the pork..good atmosphere a boarder hang out in the winter for sure..big patio nice
Great food and atmosphere. Busy so make sure you don’t come at peak times if hungry! Easy enough to get in otherwise.
A great bar in Revelstoke which is an awesome place to grab a drink, or bite to eat, especially after a day of skiing or mountain biking. They have a decent size outdoor patio in the summer. They also work in collaboration with 2 other restaurants in town to provide a free shuttle service from anywhere in town to the restaurant. The nachos are huge, and great value. Give me a thumbs up if you found this review helpful.
I had the clams casino and it was very satisfying! Better than expected. A bit salty, but I like salty foods. Environment and atmosphere of the place was friendly and unique. I would recommend trying it!
A bit noisy when we walked in but if you don’t mind that the food is great! We watched skateboarding on the big tv while we ate. My chicken stir fry with Mango Curry sauce and rice noodles was healthy, warm and tasty, and the veggies were perfectly tender-crisp. My husband really enjoyed the buffalo wings and my daughter said the burger with bacon and cheese was very good.
Great food and service, they said there would be a wait and they exceeded every timeframe set. Had one of their huge pizzas highly recommended! Girlfriend had the burger on a ciabatta bun, amazing!
Blues burger was awesome, messy and memorable. Ask for thier homemade Buffalo hot sauce on the burger to take it to a new level.
The burgers were good the chicken on the other hand was a little over seasoned but it depends on your taste. Other thn that, its a great placr to visit if you're around Revelstoke. It emits the hipster vibe of the town.
Amazing food. Awesome menu! Kids loved the young feel of the place. The poutine was smokey and delightful. The falafel wrap had a very nice bite and flavor. Pulled pork was so yummy and the Ceasar Salad was ACTUALLY the best Ceasar salad I had had all day! Would eat here again!
CARBONAWESOME Bacon and broccoli make it better, baby. This classic carbonara is served with bacon and broccoli. Ask your server about adding chicken or prawns. I added chicken the worst part was clam shells were broken in my dish I don’t like losing teeth no Care was taken my wife’s stirfry was Blan and the rice was under cooked wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy
Can't not visit when I hit up the stoke, great place!!!!
Dinner
We arrived at the bar from the alleyway, we asked if we could sit at the table on the patio, the waitress said no and were asked to go to the front...ok, no problem. Then the hostess asked us where we would Like to sit down we said the patio, then she sat us at the table we asked for anyway....SIGH, we sat there for 15 minutes, nobody came to us, no water nothing , the people who came after us had there drinks and ordered there food. Still.nothing, we said this is brutal and left. We traveled all over Central and Southern BC and this place was the worst by a mile. Recommend avoiding this establishment and for that matter the entire town was full of rude people. Recommend Golden the people there were very friendly, the complete opposite of Revelstoke
This bar is busy for a good reason, even though there was a wait, we were able to sit in a corner nook area and the bartender served us drinks right away. Lucky for us a couple of spots opened up at the end of the bar, way better sitting at the bar cause than we get to talk to the locals! The Pizza here is so good, and they load the toppings on very liberally! They serve REAL 20oz pints, not 14oz or 16oz like most other places do and than pretend they serve real pints, and all for still a great price, and they sell 2oz highballs for only $8 as well. In the words of the bartender, "we don't cheat our customers here." When we left and walked down main Street, we noticed all the other bars and pubs were empty, The Village Idiot was still full, not cheating customers with tourist prices along with great food and friendly service obviously makes a huge difference. I can't wait for my next trip to Revy and dinner and drinks at The Village Idiot!
The atmosphere and food/drinks awesome.
Amazing pizza, cheap drinks. Nothing more you could want from a ski town!
Best place in Revy hands down. We are regulars here and all the meals we've ever had have been great. The pizza is amazing! There are lots of good veggie options. The staff are all really friendly and the bar has a great vibe.
Loved the pizza! Yummy crust--chewy, garlicky. Fun atmosphere, good service. Hoping to go again before we leave Revelstoke.
Awesome food choices with plenty of options for vegetarians and even vegans. Yummy craft beers and the option to sit outside on a terrace. There are two types of pizza (normal and thin crust) and you can choose any mix of toppings including jalapeños and baked garlic. What more can you want?
This pub has a lot of character. Good drink prices and a MASSIVE food menu. The food was pretty good especially the pizzas.
Sarah was excellent. Food was delicious. Good time on the patio
The idiot's were honest about their favourite items on the menu, and gave some great advice on things to check out while in reve. Glad I stopped in, would strongly recommend. Food was also great, try the Wasabi Salad.
Cute bar, went by the town and decided to drop in this infamous place for a drink.
Meal type
The food was pretty good, except the marinara that came with the bread. Pretty sure it had just come out of a jar in the fridge. Once our waitress realized we weren't drinking, she couldn't have cared less about us. She never came back to our table, and we had to go out of our way to get her attention for the bill.
Really good food, very friendly atmosphere! The bartenders introduce themselves to you. The pizzas are amazing, and very big. Highly recommend coming here, but be prepared, you may have to wait for a table.
Great food and atmosphere, even with COVID restrictions. If you get the panzerotti... don't get extra cheese haha.
The place to hang out and get great food after riding all day ... burgers are good. stir fry can be a little boring, but healthy. service always super friendly. atmosphere cant be beat
Probably the most underrated restaurant in Revelstoke. A unique and varied menu that is great for everyone including gluten free an vegan. More than fairly priced with generous portions. I had the quinoa salad with grilled steak and came back for it a second time. Great pizza and fantastic apps.
This place has the best my family has tried during our 10-day road trip throughout AB and BC. Mushroom soup was delicious; hamburgers were so good you’d think they are from Alberta; their pasta was a garlicky dream!!!! Go there!
The meals on the menu are titled and explained in such a funny way that it really brings a smile to your face. The food tastes good and the people who serve you are very kind. It took a little while to get a table here, but that just means others know how great it is too. We had a very pleasant dining experience here :)
Great place! Loved the variety of pizzas and the portions were huge. Service was a bit slow because it was super busy but food was good
Great road food in a nice spot. Staff are really nice. The decor is super cool with snowboarding and ski themes. We really enjoyed our burgers and the price was right.
When in Revelstoke, this my ski-bar HQ. Great food and great staff, good vibes all around. I really like the wings as they don't cut them up. Odd, but a nice touch. More bones to pick! Thanks for the good times Gord!
Food was alright. After hearing raving reviews, we were excited to check this place out, but it left much to be desired for. The hostest who brought us our food, kept leaving all the orders in the tray and expecting us to serve ourselves or know which was supposed to be our dish. One of the bar tenders was really friendly but sadly I wouldn't recommend this place. Nothing to write home about.
Excellent atmosphere, great selection of beers, customer service was top notch. GET THE PIZZA, tried one with chicken and one with pulled pork and both were very delicious ie crust, sauce and topping selections were all on point. Would recommend waiting for a table at this place, best restaurant in Revelstoke.
Great food with great names. Had the "I STOPPED EATING MEAT BECAUSE IT MADE ME FAL-AW-FAL" which was a falafel wrap. Awesome service in this time of smokey skies and COVID-19.
Great pizza here. Make sure to get the large for a few bucks more. Service was alright and so was the restaurant it's self. Very trendy place for the skiers to hang out.
Had their hungry hungry hippies pizza and it was amazing. Best vegetarian pizza I've had in a while. Very unique in taste. I like a bit spicy so jaleopenos were perfect
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was good. Even brought a two year old and there were no problems. Would definitely go again.
Service
Overall Fun Experience and Great Prices ,The staff were kind and friendly. the food was really good except the fries were really old and didn't taste that good. ( i guess it was my luck) But i highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the beautiful City of Revelstoke.
Overrated definitely. Especially for the wait. Tried there chimichanga pizza. No refried beans or salsa as claimed. Then made the mistake of adding chicken. Just thrown on top. I want to say microwaved on? It sure didn't taste cooked or good. At least crust was decent. Should of stuck to pepperoni. For now I will stick to my review though. Long wait, overpriced and not worth it
Service
Easily the best poutine we've had on our Canadian ski trip!! Burger was great, pizza with Garlic knot crust was also really good. We will definitely eat here any time we come to Revelstoke.
Excellent food. The service was above and beyond. The server was very kind to the seniors in the group. Had a lot of fun watching the bartender trying to open a bottle of wine. I think it might have been his first time.
Awesome food!! Large portions, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Everything ordered was up to our expectations. Prices are reasonable too. Best food we had in a long time( burgers , pizza and noodles)
Pro: Great atmosphere, great prices, and great staff. Pro: this place has the best pizza I've ever eaten: best crust/dough, perfect ratio of cheese, toppings, and the perfectly spiced marinara sauce. It is delicious!!! Con: I don't live in Revelstoke, so I can't eat their pizza every day. Pro: I don't live in Revelstoke, so I won't get overweight eating their pizza every day.
Solid spot for food and drinks. Second time I’ve been here, this time I came solo and sat at the bar. Bartenders are on point, they ask your name and shake your hand, they address you by name. No one does that these days. Drinks on tap are great, great selection. My burger was great as well. Ski/ snowboard atmosphere is real cool and causal, gets you hyped for shredding the mountain soon.
Service
Our place to have lunch or dinner every time we're in Revelstoke
Saying this is the best places to eat in Revelstoke wouldn't do it justice. This place has the best food I've eaten at a pub in years. Highly recommend the miss piggy luau pizza. A nice twist on the typical Hawaiian. Very busy tho, get here early.
Beer selection is pretty standard, food is great. Lots of big tables makes it a great joint for taking a group. Friendly staff, service was on the money as well. Great place to grab a few after being in the snow all day!
Second time eating there while in Revelstoke and is certainly going to be a tradition now. I got the garlic chicken club, it was one of if not they best sandwhich I've ever ate. Fantastic wait staff and atmosphere.
Great atmosphere and food was top notch
This spot is a must see in Revelstoke. Really relaxed atmosphere with delicious food. If you do plan on coming, make sure you come with an appetite! The small nachos we had were HUGE!! had the pizza when we came and as an Italian-Canadian I approve of the pizza. Crust was tasty and there was a wide variety to choose from. bacon Caesar is a must try here
Love the fancy lettuce squash pizza but bring back the hungry hippie!
So ski themed that you expect to walk out and see snow. Staff interaction was unusually good. It was super busy and I still felt very well taken care of. I don't often give out 5 ratings but these guys earned it.
Amazing food, service. Great experience overall.
Drinks were pretty good, food was okay. The decorations/ambiance were very unique. Big screen to watch the games/Olympics. It was very hot inside tho as I don't think there was any A/C.
Food was excellent. Love the decor and the servers are polite friendly and hospitable. Menu in it self is entertaining to read over. Thank you village idiot staff for a enjoyable stay and I plan on stopping next time I am in the area.
Love it here. Great pizza, I love the kitchen sink burger but it is not for the faint of stomach. Comparable pub food pricing and great outdoor patio.
Ordered delivery from this spot and was far from impressed. We ordered two garlic chicken peta wraps with a side of parm fries. The food took an hour to be delivered, the fries were soggy with minimal parm, the chicken smelled off and was cold, the garlic on the wrap over powered everything and the wrap completely fell apart. We were the village idiots.
Awesome pub. The Panzerotti is a must try, so good. Plus the decor is deadly, most furniture is made from old skis and snowboards.
Ive never seen a more unique restaurant... ever! Revelstoke is clearly a ski town and this place does a great job representing with the decor. Everything on the menu was made in house and anything I ordered was amazing. The stirfrys were really good, and I enjoyed the veggie burger ! Our server was also very friendly and took the time out to recommend different places for my group to visit.
Loved it here- we tried the the speciality pizza called The Chuffalo which has chicken, banana peppers, pineapple, melted blue cheese & buffalo sauce drizzled on top. Im not really a blue cheese person but somehow it works.
Do you ever pause scarfing down delicious food, to leave a 5-star review so you dont forget later? because DAMN. Quality service, Attentive kind staff, funky and interesting decor. Next to *cough cough* two poke-stops, wait scratch that last bit (it's three) *cough cough* I mean good vibes. if your browsing through reviews I recomend this place to hit up, I loved their outside patio, although I would highly recommend their inside dining which is also is filled with the smell of food-oriented heaven. Their veggie dishes arn't just pretty solid, but so appealing I ordered one myself and decided it was worth 5*.... but my foods waiting, so I should say no more, let the stars show my opinion. 5/5
Excellent food and service. Their gluten free Pizza is the best I've ever had and the topping was absolutely amazing. And I love the decorations snowboards, old skis, lift chairs very funky and fun.
Place was jammed and for a good reason. The pizza was simply amazing! If you have ever had real homemade pizza crust this was it! Beer was good. Wait staff was very good.
I always make an effort to stop in when I'm passing through Revy. Often I'm eating alone at the bar and the bar staff always goes out of their way to introduce themselves and engage in conversation. The food is always hot, original and well made. Great beer selection as well.
Very cool place to get some grub and drinks. Love the ski motif, food was fantastic. Try the Philly Cheese Steak Springrolls, now that's the kind of fusion food I'm talking about!
We had good pizza here! The patio got really cold once the sun went down ... Bring a blanket or a sweater. Service was not outstanding but got everything we asked for.
Dine in
Good service. Cute decor, ski n boards all over the place. Loved the house salad and chicken ciabatta I ordered.
Ordered the Small Nachos. Uh... hate to see the Large as it was the biggest plate I've ever seen! Atmosphere is nice and it's safe for the family.
Dine in
Great ambiance and friendly staff. It took a little while to get our meal, but in their defense, there were some large groups on the patio at the time. We found a nice shady spot on the patio and were content anyway
Awesome spot, staff is always rad! Massive menu, I’ve never had a bad meal. They always welcome tourists and service is speedy. ????????
Food, drinks, and atmosphere...really good combo. The Kitchen Signature ???? was excellent and full of flavor.
Nice pub with fantastic pizza. Really good crust. Wish they had some more beers on tap, but still a great spot! We even met the Village Idiot!
Great food, friendly staff! This is true pub food right in the heart of downtown Revelstoke. The salt and pepper chicken wings are delicious and the burgers are always good!
This place was a nice change of pace with it being the off season for traveling. We went in late September and it was still reasonably busy because this place is so cool. Great eclectic ski decor and fun atmosphere. The food was really yummy as well. Good selection of local beer and VERY covid friendly. Staff made sure it was very clean and gave us space. Online menus. It worked well. We will be back!
Pizzas are really good. They had two vegetarian pizza selection. We choose one of them. We were two hungry brothers and we downed a large!! Flavors were great. Nice IPA's on tap. Our server even warmed our last few slices of our pizza too when the slices became a little cold to eat!! Thank you so much to her!! You will not be disappointed to go here!!
Really cool atmosphere and packed. Philly rolls were delicious. My burger and toppings (crispy onions and fried jalapenos) were basically charcoal. Server delivered our food then didn't return until 10 minutes after we finished eating. Didn't ask how our food was just cleared the table and brought our bill. Probably won't go back.
The pizza was really good! The wait staff was awesome! And, they off a free shuttle service from your hotel to the bar.
Now THIS is what I call good poutine. With cheese curds, good gravy, and the best-est cooked fries, what more can I ask for? And the pizza is also AMAZING (side note: the pizzas are giant, so if you're a one-man-band, choose the smallest size)
They made the perfect Caesar! The pizza was also really good and the crust tastes like “Crazy Bread” We shared a small pizza and it was plenty for two people.
The greatest menu appearance that I've ever experienced! All around great food from their apps to their burgers. Drinks were well priced and they had a great selection. Wish we didn't live 2,000 miles away!
Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and AMAZING food. 100% would recommend. We noticed that there seemed to be quite a few locals while we were in... You know it's a good spot if the locals frequent it.
Delicious food, great staff. Had twist bread which are like really good crazy bread. Slider burgers were amazing and the poutine was on point. Will be back to try the pizza because everyone was ordering it and it looked amazing. Cocktails looked good and had a long Island iced tea which was actually made and not just mixed. Keep it up and see you next year
Looks a nice place to hang out with friends. If you go with your partner they will sit you close to other people and you won’t have privacy to talk. We went to have dinner but left before ordering when they sat down other people on our same table
Always our go to on our Kootenay trips. Friendly staff, great beer and try the pizza!
A great find for a random restaurant/bar pick. Fun and quirky ski themed interior. Excellent blue cheese burger. Great selection of craft beers.
Fun atmosphere, great service, food is amazing. Must try!
I ordered a pizza and it was AMAZING!!!! I loved the thin crust, just the right amount of sauce and real bacon. I got the large so I'd have leftovers and it was huge, now I have leftovers for a few meals and the price was greeeaaaatttt!!!! I will definitely be going back there before I leave ????????
Everything you want in a small town ski bar. Great drinks and fantastic food options to satisfy any craving. The Staff make the visit even more enjoyable, full of local knowledge.
Rad place, fun vibes, friendly staff, if you sit at the bar they will shake your hand and call you by name the whole night, absolute best ever perogy pizza.
Stopped in here a few years ago while travelling with family. We ordered pizza. It had the unmistakable taste of pizza from Windsor, ON, where I grew up. I basically stopped eating pizza when I moved away from Windsor because there is no comparison and pizza everywhere else has been one sad disappointment after another. Our waitress told me the chef is from Windsor, so that explains it. So to the chef, whoever you are, thanks for the amazing taste of my hometown, despite it being thousands of kilometres away. Bravo! You've certainly captured the distinct taste of what is undeniably the best ZAAAA in the world!
Place is based on a Ski and Snowboard theme. Indoor and Patio seating available. Washrooms. Food is different and amazing. Vegan and vegetarian options are available. Great location and pleasant staff. Funny named dishes. Parking on the street. Wait times might be 30-45 mins
We had a great time here! We were seated at the bar and it was so much fun! The bartenders were great and personally introduced themselves which made us feel right at home. The food and drinks were also super enjoyable, wedw happily come back!
Hostess was less that hospitable. Really uninviting environment. Service and food was meh. Don’t waste your time
Loved the vibe. Staff were friendly and really welcomed us tourists with info on the town. The food is top notch, tasty and fresh.
Amazing service and great food! My partner had the spaghetti in meatball and I had a burger. They were both to die for! Our waiter was amazing and I would honestly go back for the friendly service. We sat on the patio and there were cool vibes all around. Also, we didn't have the pizza but it looked epic.
If you're looking for a cozy yet social pub environment that also has a wicked menu, this is the place for you. To put it in terms you'd understand, try and name another pub where you could get pizza, ribs, or a quinoa steak (or tofu, for the vegans out there) stir fry.
This was a great location to eat at, if you have the time for them. We came in kind of at the time of dinner rush but were greeted by the hostess and enjoyed the theme of the locations we wanted to stay for more. After being seated for about 15 minutes, our waitress let us place our order but it wasn't until at the end of placing our order that she let us know that there would be about a 30 minute wait time for food from the kitchen. There were two other groups of people who went to the same table next to us who got up and left after about 10 minutes of sitting there without acknowledgement. However when the food finally did come out, it was very flavorful and good portions. The Caesar drinks they make are unique and tasty, highly recommend the pickle version. It's like a bloody Mary with a Twist. There is also a nice outdoor patio, see attached images. The place overall has a very neat Village Idiot theme with interesting names on the menu that adds a personalized twist.
Funky decor, friendly service and tasty food options. Family friendly.
Large portions and a great price. The wait staff are quick even during their rush. The food itself was good quality and well above average for pub style restaurants I've been too. Based on what orders occurred around me, the pizza is something to try. One year later edit: The pizza is indeed great and worth the trip.
Great menu. They have a shuttle if you're drinking. Service is great and bar has some local beers on tap. Can accommodate large groups and is kid friendly. Crayons are supplied. Great patio in the summer. First come first serve. No reservations.
If a toque was a pub, this would be it. If you're looking for a pint in a mountain town, this is the place you pick. It has a homey and warm character, well worn in, like your favorite sweater - a bit stained, a few threads missing, but the only thing you want to curl up in.
We ordered the chicken pizza, but it sorely disappointed. First one came out with hair on it, and the second was very bland. Had higher hopes for this place given how highly it came recommended by staff on the hill
Always amazing food, great services, awesome environment! Always a must have stop when in Revelstoke! Great gluten free food!
Good portions and delicious food. Also craft beer for the beer enthusiasts!
Service was good but we had pizza and it was a little bland to our usual pizza vendor.
Food was amazing, service was also great. We sat on the patio and some rain/wind blew in, and they worked really hard to get everyone from the patio moved inside.
Average food and drink. Nothing special. Fries are from a bag somewhere in Montana. Salad was better and rice was ok. Pizza seems pretty appealing bit didn't try it.
Awesome food, specially burgers!! Craft beer selection is great, although, should always have a sour option since it's getting more and more popular!! Staff is always super-friendly. Great for groups aswell, service is quick!
The waitress was amazing. Though there wasn't a kids menu per'seh they do have a kids penne. The local draft beer was great and they have a take-away container if 1 pint isn't enough.????
If you want a pizza of genuinely epic proportions and deliciousness come here. I ate a huge amount (think like pigging out) with my mother and we still had a full meal left for the next day.
Cool place for any skier or snowboarder to grab a bite to eat. Don't be shocked if you get sat down next to a stranger, it's part of the experience! The decor speaks to region with all the skis and snowboards plastered on the walls. Food was really great and the servers were courteous and kind. They also have gluten-free and vegetarian options for those who may have restircted diets. Definitely a must in Revelstoke!
Dinner
The perfect place to eat a delicious burger after a long day. I had their "better burger" with a lettuce wrap and it was super tasty. Also had their Thai quinoa salad which was good. Ribs had a tasty sauce. Atmosphere was casual, so don't head there if you want a quiet place, but if you want good food and a beer while chatting and looming at some sports on the tv, it's the perfect place.
Good atmosphere, burger with corn in it was wierd.
The kitchen sink burger is so good, good service and awesome food Great place with a great name
Ordered the spaghetti and meatball. I thought I was in for a treat when my order arrived but I was wrong. Took a bite out of the meatball and noticed it was still raw. Im not talking about medium rare, I'm talking about raw. The ground beef was so raw, it tasted exactly how raw ground beef smells when left out on the counter. The bartender/waiter took it away and asked me what I wanted instead. I ordered wings just to be safe. After receiving my bill I noticed they charged me for the wings. COME ON, at least have the odasity to take the order of wings off the bill. It's the least you can do for screwing up my first order. My friends and I waited for 30 minutes just to be seated and another 30 min just to get our food. Avoid this place, it's called village idiot for a reason.
Good menu selection. Lots of staff in place.
Chicken clubber pizza was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had (even compared to toronto). The poutine was bomb too; curds were the real deal! The best part is it’s all so cheap considering the size of the portions. Shout out to the kitchen and staff for dope food and service. Revelstoke is pretty rad in my books.
Really cool, local and ski/board vibe and atmosphere to this bar. I had a friendly guy named Eric serve me behind the bar and had some great local brews and a few solid/filling meals whilst watching the hockey. Was pretty busy but didn't wait long for service or my food - highly recommend ????
Good food, nice patio though it was a bit chilly without heaters. September can be tricky for eating outside.
Best pizza in town, no question! The dough is what really makes it, but all the ingredients are amazing and fresh too! The other meals I've had from here have all been great too, but I can no longer bring myself not to get pizza every time!
Great pizza!!! Staff is awsome, friendly, and loved the atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone. Kid friendly with a fantastic variety on the menu.
Best pizza ever ????. Amazing atmosphere
In spite of limited staff and tables we had a good meal and a pitcher of beer at good value.
Great menu, fun atmosphere, large outdoor dining/deck area. Great caesar cocktail menu, along with good wine selection. Reasonably priced, good service. Excellent meal sized salad menu, yummy appies.
Beautiful location very scenic, we sat outside on a large patio. The food was very good as was the service.
I had the burger topping pizza here. Probably the most delicious thing I've ever eaten, with hands down the best crust I've ever had on a pizza. Fantastic balcony seating in the summer.
Great Atmosphere ok food
Wings are pretty good! Long island iced teas are tasty and big!
Amazing food and tasty beer! Highly recommend it ????
The atmosphere of this place is always delightful! Food is amazing! The shade on the patio in the afternoon is great! A wonderful place to eat!
Super fun atmosphere, tasty food. The Bartender, Eric , was friendly and nice. We will return next time in town.
Amazing food, king sized nachos and great environment. 6 of us were in town to ride and were blown away with the service and atmosphere. Had events for the superbowl too. Can't say enough good things, check it out
Walked in after a long trip from Vancouver and after reading mostly good reviews about the Village Idiot, unfortunately we never had a chance to try any of the food due to the clueless wait staff; they truly live up to their name. We were acknowledged at the door, sat at the next available table then ignored thereafter. I noticed the table sat after us received menus and drinks and had their order taken while our table was still barren. I had to go to the front door and get menus for our table. After being avoided by passing servers like a plague ridden refugee we decided to get up and leave. Go to Nomads instead. Friendly staff and good food without the idiocy.
One of the best pub, or probably the best, in Revelstoke. Food is great and lots of options for any kind of diet. Beer choice is right on with lots of microbreweries. The thing is it's so popular that it gets crowded really fast, so get there early or you'll have to wait. The other thing is if you have a table close to the doors, keep your coat on since every time someone opens the door you'll get a cold draft.
Good pizza, with a nice combination of flavors. The place can be very crowded at times and can be a little noisy, but the food is kind of worth it.
Good food and nice ambiance. They let children in even late night, so we were able to have dinner as a family. It is a busy place.
Super friendly staff. Lots of different choices on the menu, all I have tried was really good. Lots of different beverages too. A great place to hang out after a day of skiing.
They had really good food; ate the poutine with sausage and pizza. Would highly recommend; great atmosphere, very hip and nifty. Friendly staff and everyone wore a mask and distanced well.
Cool vibe and good food. It won't blow you away, but it's definitely got a good style and atmosphere. I had the 'kitchen sink' burger which was impressively huge. The flatbread starter is excellent. Just wish it wasn't so cold in there, I kept my jacket on for most of our time there
To many people not enough staff, also uncomfortable seating. Food was ok...
Fun place. Fun food. Staff super fun.
amazing caesers and the food is delicious. My 10yr old daughter loved it as well as the 3 adults at the table. Great service, and amazing beer on tap as well
Great food, friendly service, had the poutine, definitely recommend the cheese is epic! ????Sangria slush ????yummy and refreshing on a very hot day!
We went to the Village Idiot for dinner and some drinks on Saturday evening. Our server Leah was amazing, so fun and personable! And also provided great service too haha. The food was also to die for. We have one celiac in our group and she was very impressed with her gluten free pizza there. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone in town. Great service, great food and great vibes. What more could you ask for? ????
Really good food, amazing staff and a great vibe in general. It's a very cosy and fun little place to hang out, the staff at the bar were shaking hands and introducing themselves, something very cool and unique in my opinion. The decor was fun and made it feel like you were up in a fun ski cabin on the mountains. Would love to find more places like this!
Food portions are how they should be! Everything was DELICIOUS. Very down to earth and chill staff. Reasonable prices. This will be my first choice for dinner every time!
Went in for dinner while popping through Revy. They handled my food sensitivities like pros and I had a delicious meal. Everyone at the bar was jealous of my plate. Service was great and the beer was cold too.
The beer was great and cold on a hot day. The nachos were not so great though, the beef was bland with no seasoning and the cheese was only melted on the top, down a layer everything was hardly heated. Service was great, staff were super friendly!
Fabulous food and the staff were some of the best that we have ever encountered
On a friends referral I popped into the Village Idiot. First off, I find it can sometimes be intimidating going into a "resorty" local. Totally not the case here. Bartender (Eric..I think) introduced him self with a handshake. Classy! Only had time for a quick pint, but I can picture my self getting lost in here for an extended stay in the future. Great work team ????
Great pizza, interesting combinations, lots of choices of draft beer, very friendly service.
Excellent burger....no ale so went for pickled Irishman.....
Amazing food, big portions, reasonable prices. Most of the stuff is made in house. Great staff and atmosphere too. By far the best sandwich I've ever had.
We really didn’t enjoy the food (awful pizza). The fries would be ok if they didn’t add grated cheese (that didn’t taste good) on top of them. Service was “ok”, beer was very good and they have a pleasant patio.
Very cozy ambiance with excellent food & service. Great place to go whether you’re simply visiting the area or live nearby. Recommend to all, (vegans included).
Cute little place. Pizza was delicious and the philly rolls were absolutely to die for. Who knew that Philly cheesesteak spring rolls would be that good?!
Me and my partner were sat on the patio. With 5 servers and a hostess on that small an area on a Sunday evening, service should be top notch. We were advised immediately that there were several menu items that were not available and then our server scurried off. She came back and let her know we were just there for desert and a pint. We waited for 25 minutes for her to come back and advise us that the beer and the coffee were not available. I’m sure the place is fine. If you want what ever they might have laying about and don’t mind waiting around indefinitely for it. Cute theme though and their name is quite suiting.
Nice menu, service was good, and definitely a fun place. It's clearly a bit of a well loved fixture in the community. The food (carbonara and the spicy clam pasta) we had was pretty meh though.
This bar is funky and very popular in Revelstoke! Has a colourfool ski/snowboard feel that's very unique. I had the halibut and it was decent, wasn't too happy with it because there wasn't much fish and that's why I give it 4/5. Otherwise, it's an awesome bar to checkout for some beers and a lively time. Wings were delicious and the pale ale sat well!
It's a fun place to go, we had the hippy dip and for $10 it was totally worth it! The spaghetti spring rolls that we got to go for the kids were also good and priced right. Had the bacon caesar which was amazing and a half liter of wine! Was a great visit!
Great beer on tap. Nice ambience. Ordered wings, was a bit disappointed with the quantity/size
We really like stopping in here for a beer or a bite to eat or both. Super friendly servers and everyone in the place is friendly as well. Had the nachos which were very substantial and the 'kitchen sink' burger. Its enormous and very good, highly recommended unless one is counting calories.
Best Pizza I'll ever order (and I frequently do!) Amazing Friendly staff (Pat!) and good delivery time! Keep doing what your doing and don't change a thing guys!
Went for lunch for beer and pizza. The pizza was fresh with good dough and sauce. Got chicken bacon jalapeño and it was delicious. Loaded with quality toppings, and bacon was plentiful and thick cut. Get the large pizza. Its only a few dollars more for a huge 18". Great deal.
A cool spot with a great patio! They have a large selection of foods you'll recognize, but with quirky twists! Lots of options, and it's clear that they have fun with their menu. They make a good pizza, and dynamite Caeser's! The view from the patio is awesome.
This place was recommended as the best pizza place in town. In the end, I had a burger and it was dirty and greasy and amazing and I loved it. The girls I was with had a pizza and said it was great, but I couldn't resist the pull of a burger with back bacon and roasted corn on it. The service was kinda lacklustre, but no big deal.
Excellent place. Great Food. Great Service. Great Atmosphere. Highly recommend it. Will come back if i ever visit from Ontario again
Terrible service. Seated for 15 minutes before we decided to get up and leave as no one came to see us or even talk a single word to us. Very displeased as the menu and food looked tasty.
Great service and funky skiing decor. The blues burger was delicious . give it an awesome thumbs
Nice atmosphere, interesting drink selection (I recommend the signature village idiot drink). We had make your own stirfries for lunch, and they were DELICIOUS. A really unique menu, great service from real people. We will be back the next time we visit Revelstoke.
For an ultimate, raw, old school ski town experience, hit "The Idiot" for outstanding homemade food. The service and atmosphere will not disappoint. Every time we roll through Revy, we introduce our friends to dinner at The Idiot for a most memorable and fun experience. Don't forgot to SHOT SKI!
We visited the Village Idiot over the weekend and were blown away with how good the food was. Not your average pub food. Large portions and friggin delicious! The drinks were good and the servers are friendly. We will be back for sure!
Our favourite place in Revelstoke for a beer and food, hands down. Excellent, long-term staff, local beer on tap, killer food, and the summer patio rivals the Ship and Anchor's. It's a family-friendly pub in a ski/board town - Friday and Saturday nights you need to get there before 6 if you want to get a seat. Feel free to sit at the bar - the owner is there pulling pints most nights.
OMG. Best house made vegan burger! If you love nachos and are hungry then check this place out! And a big shout out to the chef for the soup of the day was carrot and ginger! We loved it!
Good atmosphere and beer selection. The pizza names and descriptions were the best part of the place. The pizzas were great in a non traditional way.
Loved the vibes. The patio was nice. I like the old chairlifts pieces. I also like the art photography at the patio area. The old skis and snowboard fence was a vibe. Food was great
Great pizza, the patio is in a good spot
I’m still thinking about the burger I had here 3 days later! I ordered take out to try to be a little more covid friendly but when I arrived I was impressed anyway with their practices in place. Will be going in for a drink next time I’m in Revelstoke!
What a great place! The food was INCREDIBLE, the service was wonderful. They have a very varied menu so they have options for you no matter what your diet or what mood you're in. The food came out very quickly and was fresh and hot. The next time we pass through this way we'll be stopping for sure. We'll probably detour a bit just to stop, to be honest.
Very cool skiing themed bar. Good food, big portions, friendly staff.
Have stopped by the Village Idiot with the family on a number of occasions over the past few years on our Calgary to/from Vernon vacation run. Excellent food for everyone, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Not your typical pub food. I've also brought hockey teams through on two occasions with a bus load of parents and kids each time. We arranged the order in advance and the staff was well prepared upon our arrival with fabulous pizza, salads and drinks. Very attentive, lots of great memories!
Fantastic food and service. Caleb and kaleigh were attentive and pleasant. Can’t wait to go back. Kaleigh was great with my 1 year old son.
Portions are big, even for sharing. Stir fry was great, kids shared ribs and we've still got a half rack to take home.
Great food and great place. Would love to come back for ski season!
Busy place and a bit loud inside but hey, it’s a pub. If you want quiet and romance just drink more. Staff was very nice and food tasted great. Will definitely return the in the future.
Fast service and sweet staff. We were in a bit of a time crunch so we picked the perfect place to grab a quick bite and drink!
Good food and atmosphere! Good sized patio.
This place is not run by idiots, in fact I would say the polar opposite. The bartenders especially know what they are doing and are on top of their game even at the busiest of times. I had the Carbonawesome with chicken which is exactly what I needed after a fantastic powder day and the beers were well poured and exceptionally treated. You're probably going to have to wait for a table or a bar spot, but I promise it is well worth it. Thank you PJ and Eric for your exceptional service
The prices are all over the map ($25.50 for a small za but then $8 for a long island iced tea? Huh?), service is a bit slow, and the AC is non existent (at least where we were seated), but the food is pretty good and the atmosphere is nice. Definitely worth checking out of you're driving through
Jordan and Pippen, A-Rod and Jeter. These are the types of 1-2 punch that Gord and Ryan provide. Gord slings margharitas like my old high school quarterback - erratic and often. Ryan grilled up some mussels so fine that I forgot I was severely allergic to seafood. 10/10 would recommend.
Food was very good with a nice variety. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and acknowledged us right away. Lots of seating inside and a large patio outside with umbrellas. As the town is known for its ski hill they have a few old lift chairs for seats which make it fun. Could have the option more umbrellas as the patio is sheltered and consequently warm.
Great service, atmosphere, and good food.
We got a real kick out of the name. The food was much better than expected. I had the Better Burger and my partner had the Fish Tacos.. and a couple of frosty beers.
Good atmosphere, great service and food is always great there. Had chicken not pie for dinner and it was great. Place was busy, and we had a bit of a wait, but we were warned, and we were o.k. with that. Definitely a place worth visiting
Great food! I had the chicken club sandwich and my wife had the veggie bean burger. Both dishes were great
Very cozy atmosphere and great food, service is prompt and quick.
Amazing food & you don’t want to miss the Kaa-pow Ceaser which they made with their house sauce. My kids love their pizza , we made sure that while returning back from whistler we will make a stop to have lunch there.
Meal type
Excellent happening bar. There pizza is very good and so are their hamburgers. It has that querky small-town dive bar feel and I can imagine bis very popular during ski season. We went during summer on the way back from Banff and it was an excellent stop for some food after a day of hiking and viewing.
Went with the family recently and we had a great time. We had pizza, poutine, burger and fish tacos. Everyone was very happy with their food, we will definitely be back.
Not good. I don't like giving poor reviews but this was truly bad. we came here for lunch because it got great reviews last year. Something must have changed because the food we were served was terrible. We didn't eat it and no-one asked us why. I paid and left because restaurants have been sorely hit by COVID so it was a $39 donation I guess. I hope someone who owns this place wakes up to some very bad practices somewhere in the food production side. (my guess is old food from the freezer that should have been thrown out) But really, in the hospitality industry servers need to be trained how to follow-up when customers obviously don't like their experience. We weren't even asked, had we been I'd not be leaving this review.
Great relaxed atmosphere with big screen TV's. You need to try the Wasabi Wit You Salad - possibly the best salad I ever had.
Delish food, fun atmosphere, and quirky details. This place has an extensive menu, and an impressive bar. Helpful and kind staff. It does however get busy. Especially after 4 when the ski hill closes.
Great place to grab a beer with friends after a hard day of riding! If you're just passing through and need something to eat you definitely have to get one of their panzerotti's!
Oh they were great mini burgers and fries
Friendly service, huge serves, reasonable pricing. Good food. Outdoor area is popular. Ski themed sports bar that's unpretentious. Tolerant of bogans.
