We were struggling in finding a place open last night. Luckily we found this place! There's a sign asking to wait to be seated but no one was around. We flagged someone down who promptly got us menus and a round of drinks. Food was delicious. Clubhouse and the last spike burger. The beef barley soup was also good. There was a group of very rowdy individuals who were very intoxicated. Not unexpected with it being Canada Day. They kept going over and talking to two girls at a table. 1)the stuff they were saying to them was extremely inappropriate. 2)they did not know them, which is against all of the current regulations. I have to say, after a couple of times of this happening, the staff came in and intervened. Eventually kicking them out. They handled this amazingly. I would come back for the food, and a Lonetree cider that they have on tap. Given how friendly and professional the staff are, I would recommend this place to anyone!

River City is an excellent pub serving food to match. We had the Salt & Pepper Wings, a basket of Parmesan Fires, and Chardonnay to chase. Everything was better than expected and our server was professional and timely. On our next Revelstoke pass through we will be certain to stop, eat, and then stay at The Regent Hotel for the night. We LOVE Revelstoke, it's a lovely little town!

Came here a couple weeks ago, food was good but the waitress we had was terrible. Never had a problem with a waitress from the pub before this. She had a terrible attitude and then expected everyone to give her a big tip. Which was very unprofessional to tell us to tip her. I gave her a tip so she wouldnt be so mad, but the rest of my party didnt, so then she proceeded to get mad at the rest of them for not tipping her. Have not been back since that incident.

Revelstoke the ski area has a village offset from the town. You can stay, shop and eat there but the choices are limited. I love the mountain and the town and feel the base area is trying too hard to be like Whistler when it should just enjoy the old ski town funk it's name evokes. We stopped at River City out of convenience and. Ordered some guacamole and chips, which was not particularly cheap and the chips were few. When we asked for more chips, we were told they were out. Honestly we are old, agreeable good spending customers, they were not trying to get rid of us, they were out just of chips at 3 in the afternoon. The beer selection is not that great either. Sorry to be a downer, but the day on the mountain was so much better.

Most of the bar lacks windows and it can feel very closed in. Has a dance floor but rarely live music. Pool tables are in decent shape. Food quality is ok but portions tend to be large. Servers are usually friendly and knowledgeable.

Stayed in the hotel upstairs and ended up finding our way down to the pub for dinner, food was great and the local beer on tap is fresh. If you get the ribs trust me when I say 1 rack is plenty! Staff are beyond nice and music goes late. Will be back 100% :)

Enjoyed the Dam Burger and fries with caesar salad - be warned the burger is PACKED, and really good; fries were nothing fancy but still tasty, and the salad was just right (lots of croutons and not soaked with dressing). We got take-out, and even though the place was busy, didn’t have to wait longer than 15 minutes or so. Overall, a great hefty pub burger if you’re really hungry.

Was looking forward to a nice meal after a long drive. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was pleasant, but we waited over 45 minutes for our food and when we asked about any additional wait time... we were told it could be up to another 45 minutes. The table next to us had ordered at the same time, and had completed their meal before we were told about the additional wait time. Very frustrating! We canceled the order and left.

I ordered a side Caesar salad and the honey hot wings and a pina colada. The wings were pretty good i liked that it was something different than the usual Frank's hot wings. The Caesar salad was good but I have had better. The pina colada was more liquid coconut, not enough rum or pinapple taste. My husband had the burger with fries and gravy and the gravy was quite bland. Other than that the service was good.

Arrived at our table - after 5 minutes of no one noticing us had to go up to the bar and ask for a menu. They said they would be over in a minute to take our order after 10 minutes of no one coming to see us we finally left. Would not recommended unfortunately

If I could give it a minus, I would. We walked in there, 3 girls that have been in the service industry for years, and sat down only to be completely ignored for the first 20 minutes. When we finally got to order our drinks, they took another 10 minutes to arrive. The waitress was not apologetic and did not seem to mind for our wait. We ordered our food; steak sandwich (was advertised with onions and mushrooms); mac & cheese and a chicken buffalo wrap. The food was mediocre at the best. The 3 cheese mac & cheese had no flavor and tasted like dirty water. The steak came without mushrooms. The wrap had no buffalo sauce in it at all. All this after an hours wait to receive our dinners... where I feel they had plenty of the time to let us know mushrooms were unavailable or at the simplest, come over for an other drink order! When we explained to the waitress our disappointment in a very polite manner, she apologized as it was a busier night than normal (there was FIVE waitresses on the floor and perhaps 13 tables were being occupied!!!) and assured us she would speak to the managers about what she could do for us. We then sat there with our plates of food in front of us, mostly untouched for over half an hour before we had to get up and ask for the bill to leave. All while, the waitresses made glares at us for complaining and walked by us with dirty looks on their faces. What a disappointment to tourists who were planning to stay the entire evening with money to spend!!! Will definitely not be going back!!! Will definitely NEVER recommend!!! Horrible service, horrible food... what's left for a pub?!

the food was alright/nothing special/flavorless. the service however was beyond terrible. our server [a tall blond girl] seemed almost annoyed with us from the moment we walked in. she seated us at a table right by the door in a tight awkward space. we asked if there's another table available, and she said no despite 2 or 3 tables being empty. and then turned to another server looking for a table for another group of people right after us and directed them there. this would have been fine if the service was half decent, its just a table. however after that she took forever to come take our order and she would leave halfway through taking the order/not take the whole order. she would not make eye contact, and got distracted and started chatting with other customers. it took her 30 minutes to get us a second round of drinks/shots. she seems so unhappy BUT only while she was at our table! she was fine and giggling with everyone else. i don't know if that is how they act with all their customers, or if it was just because we were one of the only few non-Caucasian people there. the whole experience was absolutely disappointing and irritating because of how pathetic our server was. if you want decent service i suggest go anywhere

Orders their 8 oz sirloin, it was cold and tasteless. They did not even have BBQ sauce. I put my own salt, pepper, and BBQ sauce dip that is meant for chicken strips. Their chef or whoever is in charge of their menu should come to Alberta and learn what a real steak tastes like. Wasted money. On top of that, they don't clean their floors - we found a bone under our table. Never will go there again. Prices are too high for quality of food you get when you can make a mediocre meal at home.

Absolutely horrible service ignored most of the time I guess because I'm not "local". . Appetizers were burnt to a crisp (literally black) and they found it exceptable to even send it out. Waited 15 minutes for someone to check on my table and notice we weren't eating the Appetizers while tables that came after me are eating their meal. Also the manager/bartender/server is drinking on the job. Will never come back don't go here unless your local. Great experience for vacation...not!

Found this great place in Revelstoke on July 2nd when all the regular burger joints were overly busy. Best burgers we have tasted and served quickly by great staff. With free parking it was the best alternative to cardboard burgers from MacD. And A&W. Definately a great place for comfort and no screaming kids.

I know it gets busy BUT your NOT save any time at all by taking my order over the counter verse over the phone. I'm still requiring your time ether way. All your doing is wasting the customers time. Quick 30 second order then I can walk there grab and go. Instead I had to walk first then order at the counter and sit there twilling my thumbs for 15 minutes then walk back. I called 3 times to order and every time the phone was picked up then hung up. I ordered a Club House with side Salad, which was awesome. If it's so busy that the phone "to go" orders can't be taken maybe extra staff at the busy times would help.

Excellent. Some below had mixed experiences but not us! Reminds me of a Country pub in Australia. Sunday (ie a very quiet) night, but all 4 of us received excellent hot fresh innovative food. Beer selection was a bit limited (it WAS Sunday) but good. Extremely friendly service. A hamburger is a hamburger--but not here! Awesome. We'd return on our next visit to Revelstoke without doubt.

Ate dinner there this evening, service and food was fine. We completely kept to ourselves and followed covid policy, However “locals” (who bounced table to table without masks) decided to insult us for being from Alberta nearly escalating to a fight. We were told to get out of their town not that politely either. As we left people yelled for us to get the f@$@ out Alberta. We brought it up to the manager and said it was really unprofessional for a business in a tourist town to allow its patrons treat others this way. He said this Bar doesn’t need Alberta to support its business. Theres places in town that appreciate Alberta people like Zalas so I recommend there.

The cauliflower bites were off the hook. We had them with sweet chilli sauce instead of BBQ. So good. We also had the quinoa bowl, which felt nutritious and it was yummy. Lots of on tap beer to choose from. Happy hour pints are $5. The server was excellent. It was a great way to end a great ski day.

River City Pub does not want non BC patrons: December 27th the manager/greeter looked at our Alberta official vaccination records with QR code, he pretended to scan them stating these are not official and refused us entry. He was rude, arrogant and negative; no sense arguing with him, we left. We used our vaccination records many times whilst in BC with no problems; this was a blatant attack against us being non-residents. We went to another nearby restaurant where we showed our records which they scanned with no issues thus we enjoyed a fabulous meal. This was pure unadulterated Covid discrimination. River City Pub should place a sign on the door stating BC residents only. We will never return to this establishment.

Food was outstanding brought my 14 yr old with us everything was delicious, unfortunately the server kind of ignored us, when our food came up it sat under the heat lamp for a good 6 or 7 minutes while she chatted with the bartender. It was the worst experience for a meal. The waitress never once came back to see if we need more to drink. Forgot to order one meal then after said the meal would be right up; however, after 10 minutes l had to go up and ask for it. What they brought out wasn't fit to eat. Our Bacon cheese burger didn't have cheese and burger meat was burned. We saw our meals sit under a headlamp for 10 minutes before be served. Would never recommend this place. Which took place on September 14th Saturday at 530.

Wow, what a top notch customer service experience! We sat on the patio below a warm heater and were served with great local brews right away. We ordered some food and it came very quickly. Our server Beth was super attentive and friendly and made sure we were looked after. If we ever come back this way again, we will be “watering” and eating here for sure!

Food is good as well as drinks and atmosphere is chill. It would get 5 stars if service was better. Poor management skills, one server to cover 10 tables is a bit much. Servers also need to work on their people skills, very awkward. But if you are looking for good food and reasonable prices this is your place.

The server was accommodating by providing a couple of IPA samples. She was very prompt and helpful. The food had significant value for money and the quality was good for a pub. The venue looks clean but getting worn and dated. We had a beef dip and ribs for lunch.
