I had tonkatsu from my group tour. It was one of the worst food i had. It was so dry and hard. Only had a bite and I only ate salad.

I just love this restaurant in Revelstoke. My husband and I do not go out much for food but when we do, this is one of our favourites. When COVID hit we were bummed that we couldn't get there. We are in a high risk bubble and limit our trips around town to the essentials. Thankfully, they now offer DELIVERY through a local contactless delivery company called Revelstoke Delivery! We have now ordered twice, and have been really happy with each time. Our favourite is turning out to be the Revelstoke Party Platter that has 51 Mixed Sushi rolls pieces for $35. The platter has California, Dynamite, crispy, yam tempura, avocado, kappa & yam cheese rolls. And we are always impressed with the presentation. Highly recommend :)

Been there once when I was younger so I thought I'd try it again. The service was horrible to anyone who didn't come on a tour bus. I was really shocked when she told us the only available table was outside when I could see over half the restaurant was empty. Why couldn't we sit there? Because apparently those who come on tour busses take priority over any other paying customer. It was unpleasant outside because of the people smoking on the corner and the diesel truck idling beside us, plus I think the mosquitoes ate more than we did. Food is overpriced but that's expected coming to a small town and getting sushi but something's a bit 'fishy' when tuna costs less than salmon. My dad had the teriyaki tofu and the portion was good but the sauce tasted nothing like teriyaki. I don't think my tofu is suppose to taste like cinnamon. But that's what's in there. Don't go here expecting authentic Japanese taste, because you will be greatly disappointed like I was. You will not save anything by coming here either and unless you're a foreign tourist they could really care less about your experience. Gonna try the other sushi place in town next time. Hopefully we have a better time there.

My office is just upstairs and I love getting to have lunches here. I can always depend on getting my lunch pretty quickly, having kind people working there, and having tasty food. Plus they've got gluten free soya sauce which is a necessity in my family.

Got the lunch special which included a bowl of ramen of your choice and also a roll of sushi. Sushi was good but we found that the ramen lacked flavor and wasn't anything special. The toppings were the same for the two bowls and the only thing different was the soup base. Hopefully they can improve the ramen since the sushi was solid

I can see why Frisby Ridge is known as the BEST sushi in Revelstoke. I had a Sapporo (which was ice cold) a miso soup, the gomae, the assorted sashimi and a rainbow roll. Everything was delicious, fresh and came out extremely quickly considering how busy they were at the time (the phone was constantly ringing). The portion sizes were very healthy and left me feeling satisfied. On top of that, the service was impeccable. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners briefly who were very polite, and my server, Emily, was wonderful to deal with. Will definitely be back here soon! 10/10

Lunch with wife. Had the Korean ramin soup. Its a spicy version of the Japanese ramin. Had it with the chicken which was a whole sliced thigh. Also came with a dynamite roll. Only comment was the roll pieces were too large to eat in one bite. Would prefer smaller portions.

Was passing through the city on a road trip with my family and stopped by this restaurant. Service was pretty good, so when the bill came ,I do not double check the item that we oredered. when we got home found out the bill was about $40 higher than what we had ordered. So disappointed

We were there yesterday . . . so September 15, 2021. We asked if they were checking vaccine records as they are mandated to do by a provincial health order. They weren't and aren't and from what we gathered are not planning on doing so. This business does not consider it necessary to comply with a mandate that serves to protect others and had no sensible reasoning for not complying. One less star and we took our order to go. Food we ordered was rolls - dynamite, california. dragon, yam tempura, and several others totalling 8 in all. Food was just OK which I would rate perhaps most as 3 star max however the environment was poor due to lax and uncaring attitude of ownership.

I wish I could rate more than 5 stars! The restaurant has a comforting environment and a nice atmosphere. The presentation was beautiful and even better the food was delicious. We ordered the beef and seafood udon as well as the tonkotsu beef ramen. Both the shoyu and pork broths were deliciously rich. We also ordered the salmon roll with avocado, no complaints at all. The chefs should be proud of their amazing work! Definitely come here if you stop in Revelstoke omg!

Can't help much. I always eat the same sushi. . . Delicious, they don't cheap out on the sockeye salmon pieces. To me, the best in town for sure. Next time I will try a picture. I usually can't wait to eat. . . Take out and 2 seconds later I eat the first one. . !

The place is a bit aged but the food is good. As Asians who live in Vancouver, we didnt have much expextations but just wanted to grab lunches while we were on our way to Calgary. This place definitely amazed us. Bf and i had the lunch box, chicken teriyaki for him and beef for me. The wasabi in the salad dressing gave us a surprise and the california rolls were in room temp ( meaning they were freshly made and not from the fridge like many other places)!

Disappointing. The Tofu Teriyaki was almost flavourless, with limp bits of tofu ontop, covered in a bit of sauce that it didn't absorb. The yam yam roll on the hand was delicious.

For anyone with a craving for fresh sushi and perfectly cooked ramen noodles in rich, savoury tonkatsu broth, visiting Frisby Ridge Sushi is an ABSOLUTE MUST! We arrived in Revelstoke a bit later in the evening and Frisby Ridge was one of the few restaurants still open at the time of evening. We ended up ordering a sushi platter, various ngiri sushi, and some bowls of ramen. To our delight, the ngiri sushi and rolls were so fresh and tasty while the ramen was cooked perfect with the rich and delicious broth. I ended up ordering a bowl of ramen just for myself and reluctantly giving up my sushi platter to my wife! Thank you to the two ladies for the great service and to the sushi chef for making pieces of Tomago ngiri sushi in the shape of a little japanese hut for our boys! I tried taking a photo but they ate it before I even got my camera out! You made the first night of our 9 day road trip so memorable! Frisby Ridge Sushi is a hidden gem in Revelstoke and is definitely worthy of a 5 star rating! Thank you again!

I smelled weird when I walked in. Iwasnt sure what I was smelling. And when I used the washroom I was so sure its from the washroom. And they have open walls high up between toilet and kitchen. It was shocking... Food wasnt impressive.

Revised after trying the other sushi place: OK sushi. The noodles were a bit too greasy. Portions were a bit on the small side. Pricey but the other place in town is a lot more pricey for slightly better sushi. You can get way better sushi for that price, or less, in bigger cities but I guess it's the resort city pricing. New owners last year. Polite enough but didn't seem very enthusiastic. Maybe she had a long day.

Great place for sushi. As you can see from the pics below, the portion are generous. Our favorite has to be the crispy/ crunchy sushi, it was delicious. The beef sushi is not our favorite. The beef was too dry and its flavor is sup-par comparing to the rest of the dishes. The fried ice cream desert was good but it was a bit too sweet for us, just personal preference. But overall, it is still a great place for sushi with decent price point. We would come back here again.

Seven of us happened to visit this restaurant after a long drive from Banff. We were tired and hungry when we got there. We were greeted by a very sincere young lady who served us heartily until we finished our meal. We ordered Dolsot-Bibimbap and Beef Bulgogi. We were surprised by the generous amount of foods and they were so delicious. We ordered Salmon sushi also and it was so good too. When we ordered these menus, the Korean owner generously provided us with Miso soup for free. To the weary travelers like us, the restaurant was like an oasis. We gained much strength there. I recommend you to drop by this restaurant in Revelstoke if you trip to Banff.

For a small mountain town far away form any cities or water, and that constantly had to deal with road shutdown, this was the most surprising seafood I have had. The sushi was very good, the pieces generous without being massive, the fish was good quality and delicious. My friends had the Ramen and raved about it. Would recommend, and would return.

We love Frisby Ridge! We had the rare opportunity to sample from both sushi restaurants in one week over the holidays. The other (takeout) order was not what we ordered, messy with drizzles , and just disappointing. In our books, Frisby Ridge is #1 for Sushi in Revelstoke! Not japanese Food. As low quality as it gets. Miso is over salty, agadashi tofu was deep fried with a bread batter, no taste. The rice is dry. Cheap soy sauce. It’s not authentic Japanese, it’s Chinese Canadian food.

I ate food here. The food was generally salty and the service was really really rude. There was food left in the set fork. And then we wanted more side dishes, but they gave only 3 small pieces. At that time we were really upset. After this situation, I asked the boss carefully because the food was too bad, but her said "wait" in a bad way and went to another table. After eating we wanna go washroom so we stand up the seat. But the woman boss felt miso soup for me. She didn't say anything. I felt the worst when I ate the food. I understand they were busy. but that service is soooooo rude. This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to :( I want to say them. Please don't do that like this situation. You are a honor. 음식이 안나와서 뭐 가져다주실 때 조심히 여쭤보았는데 여자아주머니 왈( 아 좀만 기달려요!-라는 기분 나쁜 말과 행동으로 ) 하셔서 기분 굉장히 언짢았고 음식도 대체적으로 다 짜고 그릇에 음식물 다 안닦여져서 나오고 최악이였습니다. 더군다나 화장실 1개...; 테이블 그렇게 많은데 기다리고 지쳤네요.
