At the risk of sounding like an 86 year old woman the music is way too loud to have a conversation with your friends on any given evening so it's not the place to go to have a heart to heart. However, the James room is a fantastic place to have a small gathering with friends (less loud). The food is solid and the service is friendly.

I can't tell you much I love this place. I've never had a bad meal and the service is top notch. Every menu item is delicious. Worth your time to go check it out. The only downside is that it's very loud so be prepared to lean in to hear the conversation.

Quite the nice pub downtown. Came in here a few times while in town to have a drink. Was your typical bar atmosphere. A little loud, tvs with sports on. Excellent selection of draft beers on tap which I liked. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me make a selection on the beers. Overall would return.

I originally gave this place a 3 due to my experiences of indifferent service attitudes and mild inconsistency. The manager asked for feedback, so I gave some. Due to the very nice response and reception of feedback, I had to give it another star. I'll probably give it 5 if it's good next time but my opinion is probably biased now... Thanks for responding. It was nice to be heard. Update - have been back a few more times. The menu's been changed a bit and although it's not perfect, it's pretty close. 5 stars.

I need to clarify my review. Food is tasty, reasonable price, servers are nice. Atmosphere sucks. On our visit the restaurant was packed (which is great for the business) the customers aren't accommodating. We tried to make some space to accomodate our group of four and the people around us were not all polite or courteous and couldn't be bothered to work with us so everyone could fit. And wow, if you aren't a 'regular' you get stared at when you walk in. Likely won't go back. This has no reflection on the actual establishment, more so the clientele.

I've eaten at Vic's twice now, and had a burger both times. I thought maybe my first experience was just a one-off, as I've heard nothing but rave reviews. However after my second burger tonight (my sister and I both ordered the Big Dill burger), I was again pretty disappointed. The burger had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I had to put ketchup on it to give it some taste. It tasted both times like they don't season the meat at all, and I couldn't taste a single bit of pickle. My sister said the same. Probably wouldn't order a burger from here again. My wife said that her dill dry ribs were really good, so if I try Vic's again I would maybe try those. Boring burger, definitely not worth 22.50 (I had a gluten-free bun).

Great food and atmosphere. Later in the evening can be tricky to find a place to sit, especially if you have a group. If you're doing a group event though I would recommend reserving the James room upstairs, its fantastic for parties etc. The nachos and #365gc daily are delicious, different grilled cheese every day, so darn good!

Went there for breakfast. Breakfast was $10... Lots of food. Homemade bread and potatoes. Coffee was $2.50. very good breakfast. Our daughter went there for dinner the other night. She had burger and fries and said it was really good. Homemade fries and burgers as well.

Pretty great place to grab a drink and some snacks, especially on a Sunday after 5pm where they have 20 items on for $5 each (5 types of beer, 5 types of wine, 5 types of shots, and 5 types of food). The food are of the appetizer size.

The only restaurant I have ever found that offers both gluten free and dairy free alternatives on a majority of their menu items. They have vegan cheese available as a replacement to regular cheese on menu items. The service was excellent and the atmosphere very enjoyable.

Went for lunch and had a mediocre experience. The building and interior had a lot of character and the staff was good. However, I found the food to be pretty unsatisfactory considering the price was very expensive. The fries were a bit soggy and under cooked, and when I got them they were only luke-warm. If the portion size had been bigger, maybe it would have made up for the price but I ended up leaving still feeling hungry. Not worth it, not going back.

Went for lunch with employees. We have been there many times and had good experiences. Not this time. The fish, battered portion, was still raw in the inside. I ordered Cajun Mac and cheese and asked that they go light on the hot sauce and it was covered in hot sauce- fully covered on top. The waitress gave us our food and never returned to the table. All employees (including bar staff) were standing at the front door/entry way almost our whole lunch experience. They couldn’t be distracted; to the point where I got up, went to the bar and got us a jug of water and refilled our glasses myself. After they saw me do that they didn’t stop to help. They went on talking with each other. Very disappointing. We have had numerous good experiences before. Poor service and poor food today.

I've always had the buffalo chicken wrap as its da bomb! But the grilled cheese sandwich / special of the day is supposed to be pretty good too. If you are going at lunch make sure you make a reservation or you may have to wait!

I always like visiting Vic's. Their kitchen with full menu is open til 2am, which is handy for a late night meal. Food is usually good, but wasn't exceptional tonight. Our server was quite friendly, despite getting swamped by a (presumably) surprise group of about 15 at midnight.

One of my favourite pubs in Regina. This place is great to bring a lot of friends or none, depending on your mood! I always prefer to sit in the small room near the patio door because it’s cozy and quieter. The waitresses always make an effort to check up on your when you’re sitting here too. If you spent too long here, stay a little longer and have brunch. My brother and I always get the brunch of the week and have never been disappointed. Great atmosphere, great service.

Went for happy hour for half priced appetisers. Was hoping for more drink options to be half priced as well but there are only a few options. Food we tried was quite delicious, although my virgin mojito was pretty sad. Not enough lime or mint, it was kind of like a sugar sparkling water. :/

Food here is amazing!! The price is pretty decent too. Tomato soup is full of flavour and taste like it is made in house. Grilled cheese is crunchy on the outside and super stringy from all the cheese they out in it. I had the Buffalo Tater Tots with crispy chicken and the only complaint I have about that is I wish it was bigger. Service is friendly and quick. I went twice in 3 days and will definitely come back on my next visit.

Used the James Room for a surprise party (about 40 people) and it was amazing! The staff was great, had our own bartender and waitress, the location was perfect and the room fit everyone comfortably. Excellent for a private function! Highly recommended.

This was the second leg of our trip into the city today. Yesterday we saw a facebook post mentioning that they now have plant based options, so we drove over an hour ti support and also indulge in this great plant base burger and ordered the plant based corndogs to go. Thanks for offering these options. Lots of rural residents really appreciate it. We look forward to eating here once we're back in Regina. The waitress who was also plant based was top notch as well. We wish her the best in her ventures.

We were in Regina for a night when driving across Canada and stopped in here for dinner. We went with the #GC365 sandwich which was grilled cheese with poutine and chicken tenders, buffalo chicken mac and cheese, and an appetizer of the mac and cheese egg rolls. The egg rolls were a little bland. I liked the buffalo chicken mac and cheese and I loved the #GC365 sandwich. It was a large cheesey sandwich with great flavor. All appetizers are half price during happy hour which is every day from 3-6. Great deal. Our waitress was very friendly. The service was a little slow, but not unacceptable. We were asked if we wanted gravy with the fries and said sure but weren't warned that that is a $3 upcharge. Oh well. This is a good place to grab a quick bite to eat.

Very bland lobster mac and cheese. I rarely use salt but I had to add some to give the food any flavour. There were two slivers of veggie (onion?) in the sauce. The burgers and sandwiches that others had were ridiculously thick and no one could bite into one and get all layers. Friendly serving staff.

I'm like a kid. Okay I order the same meal at every restaurant I go to.. and their quality of these tendered strips of chicky fingers deep fried to excellent crunch and the herbs. So yummy. Their honey dill dipping sauce... godly... the crunchy crunch of delicious fries and their gravy is sooo good. The decor, and the art on the walls are such a sight to see. Such a posh little area hidden in plain view downtown Regina, Saskatchewan. Victorias Tavern has some great service. Id definitely come by during evening, week day hours just to avoid crowds. Thats the introvert in me. A solid 5 for service.

It's a small place which makes it a bit loud for having a conversation, however they have amazing food for a really decent price. The staff is also incredibly friendly. We went there on a Tuesday and were told over the phone we couldn't make a reservation. However when we got there we learned that wasn't the case for a Tuesday night, and as an apology they were very diligent in watching for bigger tables to open up. We probably only waited 20 mins for a bigger table

Sunday brunch was really good stuff! Had a breakfast burrito and some homemade tater tot thing. Service was friendly and good. Only nit pick was that the cheese on the burrito was cold, pre-shedded bagged stuff. Overall, really good.

Had my first time here just the other day and I came away very impressed. The grilled cheese with braised beef is incredibly delicious and the prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants in town. The service was also great! Only complaint I have is that the music tends to blare too loudly and they could stand to tone it down a few notches.

Located centrally, this tavern has great food, good drinks and reasonable prices. Made it twice over after late nights at work while traveling and it was one of the few places to get good food after 10 in the city. I highly recommend pretty much everything on their menu, and make sure to plan enough time to stay and say hello to their bar staff, who are phenomenal. My next trip to Regina will have several visits planned here again!

I've been a few times for birthday parties, or just to hang out, and it's always a happening place, and service is always fantastic. One group and I had an unfortunate experience one evening, but management called us the next day; they went above and beyond to make it right!

So many options for sides and dips.I would give 5 stars except the food is getting a little heavy on the greasy side the last few times I've ordered. Love the food though. A colleague recommended I check this place out and I was really impressed with not only the beer selection, but how tasty the menu items were. If you are there with a friend - get the meat platter! This visit I had their grilled cheese special - which was ham and gruyere with tomatoes, onions, and of course, why not - maple syrup!

Very lively place whenever I have been there. I had Chicken and waffles and it was good but not great. Waffles are made with a pancake mix so are dry and tasteless compared to yeast waffles. They were served without butter and the syrup was ice cold making the waffle cold. Service was very friendly and efficient.

My wife and I came in for lunch on Sunday afternoon. We were seated promptly and offered drinks. We both ordered gin and tonic. When we got our drinks, we both took a sip and realized the mix was not tonic. I flagged the waitress down and told her our concern. She took our drinks back to the bar and returned seconds later stating we were wrong. I've been wrong before, but this was not one of those times. In the restaurant's defence, we were able to send the drinks back but were told if we ordered the same drink, it would come back tasting the same. We chose Caesars and they were very good. We had the James Platter and it was okay though the wings were quite greasy. I don't complain often as I was a waiter when I was younger and realize there are challenges. I hope this is helpful to someone.

Went to bathroom to wash my hands and there is puke in the bathroom sink. I told the manager and he said they were busy at that tine to clean it. I then told manager to cancel my order but still told my boys to eat their burgers. Only ordered water for myself and never got a refill after I complained about the bathroom Larissa was our server. I will never support this place as this was the first time and only time I will be going there. I should have refused to pay $51.06 for 2 bugers and 2 pops my boys had.

Went with a couple friends on a Sunday for lunch. Was told it would be a twenty minute wait so we were seated at the bar, ordered drinks and then a table was ready. My friends had a Caesar (good) and a local beer (terrible). We ended having chicken fingers (good), chicken breakfast sandwich (okay) and teriyaki grilled cheese (really good) and macaroni (an insult to macaroni). Good service and cool ambiance.

Nothing wrong with Vic's, fun place but i parked there on a weekday around 9pm in a spot that wasn't labelled as reserved or anything. Come out after ~1 hour and have a $52 parking ticket. How do you expect ppl to come for supper or a drink when you have to pay for parking after 6pm? Again, nothing against Vic's, but parking there is a joke. Money grab. Losing business b/c the parking people.

I wish I could give vics 5 stars again but in the last 6 months the quality of wait staff has gone down. Maybe its because of all the old seasoned servers leaving around the same time and the new servers still learning but the last few times I've gone substitutions were wrong and drinks took a long time to be brought out to our table. Food is still quite good, however, 2.50 upgrade for ceasar salad!?!?! That's ridiculous. Same with gravy. A dollar tops vics.

The waitress asked me if I wanted to set up a tab . I said yes and she told me that in order to do so I needed , as per the company s policy, to give her my credit which would have been kept at the bar and returned to me when I was ready to pay my bill. I gave her my card but I was very surprised . I understand there are people who might try to get a free drink but I think it is an unusual procedure . It was disturbing and I don t think I ll go back .

I came to Victoria’s Tavern on a Friday night. The first thing that I noticed was that it was fairly busy (to be expected for a Friday night). Music was loud but not unpleasant. The music was complimentary to the environment. Several tv’s were around the tavern. Some had the Blue Jay’s game while others had NHL playoff games going. Nice selection for what I was looking for. I sat at the bar and was greeted quickly by the bartender. She made my drink really quickly and in front of me (nothing unknown about what was going into it). The drink was great too (The Ron Bergundy)! I ordered the fried mozzarella and a buffalo Mac and cheese (bacon added). The food was great! The appetizer came within 6 minutes and the rest of my meal followed soon after (not too soon). I didn’t have to wait at all. I was very surprised (again) as the tavern appeared to be quite busy. The only recommendation I would make is that the fried mozzarella was a larger dish than I anticipated. Definitely a good one to share. I had a great experience right from the start. Great service - I was checked on several times. Great food - arrived faster than I would have expected. Great drink - wish I had stayed for another.

Great place for food, kitchen is open after 9pm. Outstanding Reuben with homemade, perfectly done fries. Had a couple local IPAs as the keg switched over partway through. Both were super clean and tasty. Unfortunately didn't catch the names as it was busy and loud. Record room was a flashback to my childhood with a bunch of great albums on the walls. Lots of good memories to those songs! Definitely a go to place in a great building!

The food was good but got really bad service both times I was there. First time, they were full and told us to leave without asking us to wait, and told us they were full in a rude way with their tone of voice. Second time they got the drink order wrong, and I didn’t like the fact that you have to buy a drink. You can’t just have water. And we were barely acknowledged by our server. I know there are good servers, but guess we got unlucky both times :/

Kid Friendly during the day. Very friendly wait staff. We didn't wait long for our food and all parties were very happy with it. Delicious gravy and would highly recommend the grill cheese.

Went for a day trip to Regina and a lot of people recommended this tavern to me. I am SO glad we went! It's a neat environment, with pictures all over the wall, very relaxed feeling. Food was great! A friend and I ordered the ooey gooey grilled cheese (plus bacon) and the blackened chicken wrap to share. Both were amazing. I'm not sure I could finish the ooey gooey to myself as it's just so rich, so sharing half and half with my friend was perfect. This is my new go to in Regina! I'd give it 5 stars, but the welcome upon first arriving left something to be desired. We stood at the entrance for 5+ minutes without being acknowledged. It was busy, so I understand that, but we didn't get so much as a hello by all the servers who kept walking by us. We weren't even sure it we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Aside from that negative, the rest was great! Can't wait to go back some day.

We had a family gathering there to watch football game August 24th , everyone so impressed. Visitors from Ontario, Manitoba, and USA, all impressed! Our server was amazing and food and drinks great.

This is an intimate setting type pub and it is for all ages (legal) and for all walks of life. The food is excellent and I feel their own homemade beer is one of the best around...both for taste and price. I brought my son here for the first time after the Rider game and C&C concert. We both will be back!! The waitresses are super friendly and look after you 100%.

Great restaurant. Great service. Great atmosphere. They have happy hour deals as well. If you’re looking for parking, there’s one beside the restaurant across the stress from the FYI doctor, which is free after 5pm.
