The Fat Badger, located right in the heart of the queen city, offers a classic pub atmosphere with pool, sports on TV, and live music. The drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are fun and friendly. The food is also unexpectedly good. Highly recommended for an afternoon pint or a full night out!

I love the Fat Badger. My wife and I had walked past here a 100 times before we finally stopped in because one of our regular spots was full. We fell in love with the place on our first visit. Great service, and some really great healthy food options with a focus on local foods. Not at all what we expected from the outside. They advertise the best BLT in the city and I have to agree ???? You owe it to yourself to check out the Fat Badger!

They may keep their four stars as long as there is half price appetizers for happy hour and includes the nice big pile of nachos! Pretty good beer selection. Food selection is meh (other than aforementioned nacho pile) and the crowd can be distractingly sketchy sometimes. Which can make for good stories with friends or embarrassment if out with mum so discretion advised. 3 stars at most without nachos.

Servers were nice and attentive, the vibe was very chill and the fellow patrons were incredibly friendly. Definitely a pub feel - seat yourself and grab some drinks from the plethora of specials available! I went around 6pm on a Thursday and it became quiet enough for me to read my book in the corner with a beer after I ate some food. Had the veggie noodle salad (can’t remember the name) and it was okay but needed some spice - the server brought me her favorite spicy sauce to kick it up and it ended up being a super yummy meal. Would definitely go back for drinks and environment!

Went to the fat badger for the first (and last) time, and had an awful experience. Sat down with a table of friends that were already in the establishment getting service. Not one person asked if I would like anything so after 15 minutes I made my way to the bar to serve myself. Once finally getting the attention of the bar staff, I had ordered my beer and waited with my cash in my hand. My beer was handed to me and the woman serving it simply turned around and walked away. I stood in awe, waiting for my opportunity to pay, but nobody seemed to have the time of day so I walked away and sat back down at my table. A couple minutes later one of the bar tenders came over to my table demanding that I pay for my beer (quite rudely) so I explained that I was sorry and that I tried to pay. I quickly pulled out the $20 that was hardly in my pocket as I JUST put it away. She insisted on arguing with me , claiming I had no intentions to pay and making me feel like a bad person about it but I was honestly trying to make it right. Even though I had handed her the $20 to pay for my beer, she still stood there arguing with me. A friend of mine could see that I was being bothered and he asked her why she was being so rude and why she would treat a customer that way, which turned into another big argument between her and my friend. She eventually walked away with my $20 and came back with my change. She handed it to me and walked away, which I then realized I didn’t get all my change back. I only bought 1 beer at $7.50, paid with a $20, and only got $7.50 back. I had 1 beer!!! Do you think you were just going to rip me off and I wouldn’t notice? I can only imagine how much cash gets pocketed from actual drunk people. Great first impression from the fat badger!!! Never going back!

This place has a pretty good atmosphere and some cool specials during the week but that's not what makes The Fat Badger special. This place has some of the best staff out there, not begging for tips, they know when your drink is getting low and they fill it. It's a good place Mondays through Thursdays but the weekends are a very busy. If you want a pub it's great during the week, if you want a smaller club atmosphere it's got that on the weekends.

I tried the tomato cream soup and spaghetti,the tomato cream soup is creamy but a little bit too sour,the spaghetti is a little bit overcook but the sauce is decent. Besides,the staffs are friendly and offer good service.overall,that is a good place to chill out and the food is not bad for this price.
