Wow! How have I not already done a review for Ginger Garlic? This is by far one of the top newest places to eat in Regina! Nepalese food has such a unique taste — it’s not Chinese, it’s not Indian, and it’s not just a simple fusion of them. You have to try it for yourself. Yes it’s brand new and it’s not in a part of town you’d think to go, but business is booming, everyone is talking about it, the owners are super nice, and you have a great balance between meat and vegetarian options. Bring a group and order a few dishes to share so you can sample a lot. You definitely want to start your meal with some chicken or veggie mo mo ;)

Food was great value for what you get. Service was a bit slow but that was ok because we weren't in a hurry and we knew the lady that was serving us was just learning. The owner went above & beyond and brought us over a small appetizer while we waited and ended up giving us free rice & dessert! The rice was because our server forgot to put in the order with our food and the dessert, just because. :)

Prices can't be beaten. Portions grand. The flavors... spectacular. It was like a hug and smile for my stomach. They do take out and you will be taking food home. Great for communal sharing of dishes.

The food may be delicious but the service turned me off going back again.. they turn off their phone lines as I called to make a take out order and their phone lines were off which is absolutely unacceptable business practice.. I go in to place an order for take out and the server said it would be 30 minute wait which could of been avoided if they staffed enough to answer the phone.. we waited one hour for a take out order... I have not experienced that kind of service in’s Regina... be prepared to wait extremely long times and don’t bother ordering take out.

Food was amazing! Would love to come back again! The only issue was the staff was a bit TOO friendly. We were starving and reading the menu, but the server kept talking to us and giving us choices which we can just plainly see or read from the menu. I don’t think it’s wrong to do that, but what I find an issue with that was we didn't ask him to help us with the menu. We were asking a friend who had eaten there before, but he kept cutting him off which delayed the ordering a bit.. And I understand he was trying to help or trying to sell. either way, I appreciate his efforts and hard work. Just a tip (since I used to be a server), after giving the menus and drinks, ask if they have any questions about the menu or need more time deciding then leave them for the time being. And if the 2nd time you come back and they’re still not ready, just let them know to just call you when they are. Or you will notice if they are ready by their actions. :) Thank you!

Definitely way up there in the top league for best Indian food in the Province. Nice twist on the menu with so may options from tarditional (but "oh so good"!) butter chicken and nepalese dishes to explore! The delicious eggplant chili is my new vegie dish!

The dishes are packed with spices and flavor. It is not often I can get a noodle dish without having to add something to it, but the "Chicken Noodles" were just so tasty. We ordered 5 dishes and everything was phenomenal, and priced very modestly. The Lamb Sekuwa was unreal. The gentleman who I assume is the owner was very welcoming as well!

Don't let the exterior fool you, this is a great restaurant! The food was delicious, the servers friendly, and the service prompt. I will eat here next time I'm in Regina. I recommend the paneer in butter sauce and the mushroom Chili.

Not sure if it was owner or manager, but the guy was very unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this awful place with the awful manager. Owner doesn’t seem to acknowledge customers concern as he said he will only start his customer service after 4 pm on Sunday when the restaurant opens. Unfortunately, we went there at 3:30 as we did not double-checked the restaurant opening time. It was so warm outside and asked the owner if we could just have a seat inside and his response was, go home come back at 4. I'll start my customer service at 4. We even mentioned our commute to his restaurant was by bus for 1.30 hour. But, he stayed silent. Tiktok video coming next for the review.

Great food! Excellent service. Maybe the best pork I've ever eaten in this city. You have to try their Sekuwa (grilled meat). Amazing dumplings (Momos) too. Don't be put off by the location. It is easily accessible via the Ring Road, has ample parking and it actually very nice inside. It is worth going out of your way for. Can't wait for my next visit.

This restaurant I had my doubts about driving up and looking from the outside... but WOW! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the food was absolutely incredible, and the price was so good that I actually said "I think there's something wrong with my bill -- you didn't charge me enough" ... they checked and the bill was right. So we had the coconut chicken, egg noodles, garlic naan, honey rice,chai tea, banana smoothie and mango smoothie. All were probably the best I've ever had!

This place has potential, but there's also lots of room to improve. Granted they received a great article in the local news, and have already experience in the local market, but I was surprised that we waited an hour to get food and that the way orders were taken and delivered were so fragmented. Not sure it was worth the hype. Time will tell if this place will survive, but I'm not rushing back to spend 2 hours in what should have been a 1 hour max place.

What a wonderful meal we had. I will definitely be ordering again! The chicken mo mo was delicious, the lamb curry wonderfully spiced. The meat was tender and flavourful, we really enjoyed the chicken rice. Huge chunks of tender tasty chicken. We originally went in to dine in, it wasn't offered at this time. He let my disabled hubby sit while we ordered, and then he gave us each a free mango lassi, I've never had it before, always wanted to try but never did. Super good! Thank you so much for the wonderful service and excellent food

First-rate Nepalese/East Indian restaurant. We had butter chicken, delicious and different from the other restaurants I have tried. I have had butter chicken in many different countries and this ranks right up there with the best. The host was a friendly accommodating man named Binod. He had us try complimentary fried potato chips, homemade and with a hint of curry. The tamarind sauce was a nice touch. The vegetarian Momo's were delicious. The decor was pleasant, it was a relaxing evening, the food portions were ample and the price was very reasonable.

When we drove by this amazing restaurant and saw many vehicles we made a plan to visit the next week. You can imagine my surprise when we walked in the door to find the owner was a dear friend whom we befriended from a restaurant he previously worked for many years. We were extremely sad to be falsely told he had returned to his homeland of Nepal. He was as choked up as we were. After a wonderful greeting and a hug we sat down to enjoy one of the best meals we've ever tasted. The honey rice and Naan bread were exceptional as were the two other dishes we ordered. We were also given a complimentary dish as a starter, as were all the other tables. If you are looking for great food and value for your money Ginger Garlic in where you should visit.

Taste of the Indian food is perfect as it is supposed to be. Palak paneer of Ginger Garlic is best, at least best in Regina. Owner of the restaurant serves by himself to the customers. He speaks Hindi as well. Every time we get complementary mango drink from the owner. When corona is on peak they close the dine in as a result take away takes little longer than usual.

Most delicious Indian / Nepalese food I've had in Regina so far. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Though there is no dine-in now due to Covid restrictions, you can order and pick up once the food is ready. You even get a free Mango Lassi while you wait for your order.

We went as a group of 4 after work and arrived at the restaurant at 5:10 pm. We ordered at 5:15 pm. We didn't even get our appetizers (chicken mo mos) for 40 minutes and they were veg because they ran out of chicken. Only water and a plate of the battered potatoes complimentary due to wait. We did not all have our main dishes until 6:30!!! This was unacceptable to us. The food however was amazing. The lamb curry was even better than Tamarind's. The shrimp sekuwa blew us away! Butter chicken was great and my mixed noodles were fantastic! Everyone thought that their smoothies were awesome. I'd recommend ordering an hour in advance. The long wait is my only complaint and only reason not 5 stars!

First visit here, we weren't sure what to order. We made great choices, amazing food! Bold, full flavor but not over the top. Like a big hug, very satisfying! Other dishes coming out to other tables looked and smelled equally delightful! Very busy in the restaurant along with a HUGE takeout order made service a bit slow but not too bad. The host did apologize for not getting to our table to check on us once we got our food but he was very busy. Definitely recommend, we will definitely be back!

09/27/19 For a family who loves food as much as the Eats’ family does, it always seems that we are the last to hear about new places opening up. Ginger Garlic is one of those places that snuck in unbeknownst. I felt like a kid in a candy store and ended up walking out of there with enough food to feed a small army. Service was a bit slow, but given how busy the place is, it was expected. While I waited for my food I talked with Binod (owner) as I knew him from another place I frequent. He was as happy and personable as ever. As I ordered a lot of food, I ended up getting foods that did not complement each other very well. Do not get me wrong, they were all fabulous… just when you put Butter Chicken with Paneer Manchurian, your taste buds can get a bit confused. Pork Sekuwa on Honey Rice was a winner. All in all, I ordered a metric ton of food and with the exception of being a tad salty, it was fantastic. Prices are beyond reasonable and the service is top-class. One person asked me if it was like Indian food.. no, it is not… nor is it a fusion of any other food… Just order it and you will understand what I mean.

This place is soo delicious!! We had the grilled (sekuwa) paneer, the veggie momos, the eggplant chili, butter chicken, some garlic naan and rice. Everything was so tasty, the food came quickly and the price was very reasonable. The momos were just like I remember them in Nepal. The owner is a lovely person, so friendly. Amazing food, staff, and management. As an explorer of new and interesting cuisines, Ginger Garlic is at the top of my list. Every dish that I have tried I would order again and again and again. Some of my go-to's are the Chicken Manchurian, Coconut Chicken Curry, and the Mushroom Lamb Curry. Naan bread is a must! Not to mention their Veggie Samosas–YUM. The owner is so kind and generous, and you can taste it in his food. I wish there was an option to give a higher rating. What a lovely gem Regina has gained.

Amazing food. Some authentic nepali dishes and varieties of indian and indo-chinese dishes. Almost every food are made from scratch as a result some dishes might take longer time to appear on your table. Nepali chicken mo mo and grilled lamb are very tasty and must. The portion of fried rice and nepali style noodles are huge. Prices are very reasonable. Unlike many other South Asian restaurants, they serve very mild spicy food but the food is not bland at all. Pleanty of parking on site. The friendliest staffs among all the restaurants in Regina. One must try if you are in Regina and craving for spicy food.

My girlfriend and I went here on the weekend. The food was incredible and we shared the panner manchurian and chicken curry along with the veg dumplings and samosa. We also ordered the honey rice which paired well with the panner and the garlic naan was great with the curry. The mango smoothie was delicous. The food was very flavorful and fresh. This was our first time trying Nepalese food and I have to say the taste was pretty good. The main components of the food is either chicken, lamb or prawns. Amazing food. My wife is a bit of a samosa coniseur. She loves how the potatoes are mashed with the spices. Grill pork is one of the best dishes. Do yourself a favor and get the garlic naan. It's the best I've ever had.
