We just had a lovely dinner with our 10 month old daughter. I wasnt sure how it would go since the keg doesnt seem like the kind of restaurant you bring a baby to, but everyone was super accommodating (they even offer high chairs and booster seats). I know covid has changed some things BUT they didnt have many of the items in stock that i requested. The steak was really pretty sad, flavorless full of fat and really tough. The tomato steak was the only redeeming item as even the garlic mash was bland. Ill probably never go back to this location but will try other locations. It was a pretty disappointing meal.

Had the Teriyaki Sirloin.....OMG so good. Charred on the outside like Chicago style and cooked to perfection inside. Drinks were great, had a Keg size rum and coke, the coke is served on the side I suppose in case you want to sample the raw liquor and to be able to mix it a little stronger if you wish.....either way nice touch and simple to do. Service was friendly, Creme Brule was awesome and the Billy Miner coffee was the perfect finish to the evening. Don't worry about the cost folks, you are going here for a luxury meal so keep that in mind. A lot of work goes into meals that taste this good! Thanks so much Keg PG for a delightful dinner with my wife????

Yesterday July 10th I ordered my wife a birthday dinner and had it to go to eat at home. 10/10 ! Absolutely delicious! Steak was perfect! Lobster was juicy, large helping of meat in the lobster. Veggies, mushrooms were seasoned to perfection. My wife and I have two places we like to eat out for steak and that is the Keg and Mr Mike's. Well Tonight the Keg knocked it out of the park! Steak, lobster, fresh veggies and a delicious fresh loaf of dinner bread for $60 bucks you can't go wrong at that price.

The Keg is known for its prime rib - note that it runs out quickly on weekends -- on the day that I visited it was only available as of 6pm, and I overheard the server tell another table that there was none left, at about 7pm. Of course this will vary by day / busy-ness of the restaurant and by what customers order. And yes it was delicious.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and decided to go here for dinner. We made reservations ahead of time and when we got there, they seated us in the bar side and when my husband asked to be moved to the actual dining area they told us they had no tables available even though it was completely empty aside from 1 table being used and now it only gets worst from there. When we arrived there was a woman sitting alone completely passed out. Several employees tried waking her with no luck. My husband had to tell them they should probably be calling 9-1-1 and they told us that was there "next step" another 20 minutes or so goes by with them trying to wake her up a few more times, still with no luck. It has now gotten to the point where the EMPLOYEES are actually checking this woman's pulse to make sure she's even alive and hasn't died of an over dose. This restaurant literally had untrained employees checking this woman's pulse AND STILL WERE NOT CALLING 9-1-1. My husband and I were blown away. The young manager finally comes out again after probably 30 to 45 minutes and I guess decided at that point he will finally call 9-1-1 and they arrive within 2 minutes. Oh yeah and all while this is all going on theres 1 woman who works there trying to make jokes to us about the situation. So at the very least, they could have taken our request to move tables so we didn't have to dine right next to this situation but no they did not even have the courtesy to do that at this location. Very awful experience and would never return again.

It's always consistent. And it was great to have well trained weight staff. But for the price, I'd expect vegtables with my meal. Especially when I asked for the difference between the "keg classic" and what I ordered and was told that the classic comes with a salad. Then when I order my side I pick potatoes, again asking if it comes with vegtables. And finally when a plate arrives with just meat and a potato on it and I ask again if there should be vegtables. Only to be told that no, that's what comes with the Keg classic. A swing and a miss to me.

Service was excellent. Food was very good. Fresh veggies as an accompaniment is very lightly grilled vegetables. Parsnips were fibrous like an unripened pineapple core, unedible. Ordered escargot, fantastic. Ordered 7oz Fillet with scallop and prawn berenaise, fresh vegetables, lobster tail for my entree. The berenaise was on point. Loved that with the lobster. Steak was good. Vegetables I barely touched, needed to be cooked to at least bring the internal temperature of the vegetables up from cool to warm, at least. The efficiency of the kitchen from ordering to being on the table was excellent. Better than most restaurants of this quality. Service staff were all very professional. It was a treat to enjoy few glasses of wine and just relax by the fireplace with a great dinner. Good job by everyone.

I generally love The Keg. Tonight I had a horrible drink, the orders were wrong and then I was charged for extras I specifically said I didn't want. They took that off the bill, so that was good. Our waiter was either new or just poor.

After a reluctance to seat us as a family of 5 (at a not very busy time) we were given a table with an agreement that we had to leave within an hour and 45 minutes. There were tons of empty tables- I guess they didn't want to pull a chair over from another empty table? Anyways, after the disheartening welcome, the service and food were very good. Just not sure what the problem is with seating families of 5. Even when I've called ahead for reservations they usually tell us we can't get in until after 8/8:30pm....

The staff were friendly and courteous (all wearing masks, we asked what they would like us to do as for masking). The service was the usual high standard one would expect from the Keg. The food was great and the appetizers were tasty. They hit their usual high standards with ease. Our first meal out post vaccinations and we enjoyed ourselves. Amazing place to eat and I go here ALOT with my family. However my girlfriend has a severe dairy allergy and there are a bunch of items on the menu that she can normally have other places that they apparently can not accomadate for her. Like the escargot. I feel being one of the nicest dinning establishments in town with a high level of customer service they need to be able to accomadate for things like this. They have no dairy free deserts and only a couple starters.

Best meal I've had since Blue Hill at Stone Barns. I ordered a series of appetizers with a good and reasonably priced bottle of Okanagan red wine. Wonderful local cheese plate. A buttery/lemony seafood pasta bowl. Just the right size. But the best item was roasted local corn cream soup served over two served scallops and a dollop of bacon jelly.

We booked three weeks ago to get tables 4 4 and 5 for a 50th wedding anniversary on June the 5 and then when we arrived the hostess separated all of us and was slightly impolite. Had we known this was gonna happen then we wouldn't have gone here so we wish we would have been told this.our meals were great however our grandchildren steaks were not cooked at all from rare when ordered med to Chicago charcoal !!!!!Of the 5 of them 1 had a good steak.Not acceptable.

I've had good service here before, but I think there's an elitist attitude coming from top-level down that quite honestly rubs customers the wrong way I'd tried to phone in a reservation at 4pm right when they opened for some time after work, and I was told that maybe by 9pm they might be able to fit me in ... no guarantees though. I actually somehow apologised for this BS, and asked if I could order one to go. I was put on hold for several minutes and transferred to her manager, who then told me to go to their website, and when questioned why, was told this is really the staff-preferred method for takeout. It's entirely possible that right when they open at 4pm is a bad time to call as this is maybe their peak hour and they are maybe absolutely bombarded with patrons and were maybe just busy. However, this was not conveyed, and instead the tone was more like "maybe you should go away." I mean, good for them if they already have too many customers, I guess. I did go online, but I did not choose their establishment.

We had a lovely dinner tonight with my boyfriends family. We had his aunty in town and she made the reservations. We were seated by a lovely lady with long dark hair. Immediately after being sat our server Terry was on top of our drink orders. All throughout our meal he was amazing. Only thing was my boyfriend's steak was alittle undercooked. But it was fixed immediately. We were all way to full after to even look at a dessert menu. But our server still insisted for us to try their pie, icecream and homemade cherry's on the house. All were delicious! ???????? definitely will be back!

This was an absolutely lovely experience. Our server Berk was absolutely on top of things! We had a crustacean allergy at the table and he was able to thoroughly investigate any possible chance of ingredient contact. When there was a chance that the prime rib marinade had trace shellfish he was able to recommend other options. Bread, salads and foods were perfectly paced. Dirty dishes were removed promptly. Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish. Excellent!

I had the Keg size prime rib roast beef. For a high priced steak restaurant it would sure show class and pride if they chef and or kitchen staff trimmed off that gross skin-like membrane if the outside of the piece of roast I ordered. It really is nasty looking. I've seen that membrane on any Keg steak or roast in the 30 + years I've eaten at Kegs.

The Keg underwent a total renovation 2010 and it is an awesome place to go for a nice dinner. It simply is the best place to get a steak in Prince George. Excellent drink menu and awesome servers/hosts. You won't be disappointed.

I came here with my girlfriend for our anniversary and had an amazing time! The wait at the bar for a table was long.. but it was expected on a Saturday night. When we sat down and ordered the atmosphere was pleasant and I was able to talk to my girlfriend. The food tasted amazing of course and the waiter offered us a free piece of pie for our evening.

Food was great but the service was "over the top"! Despite Covid restrictions the Keg delivered a near-perfect dining experience. Of all the Keg restaurants I have been to, I have to say my experience with our own hometown location has far surpassed any of the others I have been to. Thanks for a perfect evening!

Had not been there for a while. Both of us had the seafood trio and were not disappointed in the least. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and our server Landon was attentive but not in our face and very nice. Made for a memorable anniversary dinner. Many thanks

The best food I have tasted in my liiiiifeee the waiter's and staff were so nice! The food was amazing and yes, social distancing was phenomenal. Would definitely come here for another special occasion! The creme brulee was my absolute favorite of mine:)

The Keg always has great food. And even when their food is below par (or a steak not cooked to your liking), they take it off your bill! They do what they need to, to make customers happy....will go back many more times!!! And service is amazing too!

0 stars, just left there after waiting an hour and a half for my chicken, I was barely acknowledged when I was there , I asked when I would see my food and no one came back to tell me,so I had to leave. Hope your experience is better than mine!

Long wait for the food. Mediocre quality at best. They did, although, discount the meals to redeem themselves. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Go for something simple; steak, rice sand salad.

Server was great. She was polite, fast, and funny. She was very friendly to the children. Dinner was great. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Steaks and seafood were perfectly cooked and very tastey. Salads were fresh and perfect amount of dressing. We called in for a tabble for 10 ppl. And was given a spot. Thank you for a great birthday dinner experience. Highly recommended.

I honestly can't stand The Keg. I've been to this one, Edmonton, Vancouver and Burnaby and I've always left unsatisfied feeling like it was never good value for the money. I love food and have no problem spending money on food. My favorite burger place in Brisbane Australia was $35 for my favorite meal, and I happily paid it many times. I've also travelled to over 7 countries and have had the opportunity to eat Michelin Star meals for under $5 a plate. Those who know food, know the Michelin Star. So when I'm presented with overpriced trash from The Keg that I can make better in my own home for half the price, I have a hard time enjoying it. But then again that's just Prince George folks, they think because it's the most expensive, that it's the best.

Youd think a cooks and managers at the keg would know a bit about steaks buuuuttt Ordered a well done 6 oz top sirloin steak and they served up what looked like a 2 inch tall terrible cut came med rare....when asked to get a new proper steak they served it back same steak re heated and cut up and burnt to a crisp like jerky over 10 mins later. Terrible idea if you want to keep happy customers .
