Not bad... really great staff... food was good.. going again for sure. But this time in sitting at the big table with the grill in front of me

Megan Allen

I love coming here for my birthday! They have perfectly cooked food and very friendly staff. A well-run and cozy restaurant.

Coming from Vancouver, I've had better sushi. I just came for the regular dinner menu and not the tepanyaki. The bento box are HUGE, so come hungry! The tempura that came with my box was like a full order and that was good. I didn't like the fish that came with my box - not very Japanese like as it tasted like caijin seasoning and the steak was to chewy and very well done, I tend to eat my steak blue rare but the teriyaki sauce was good.

Betty Barber

The best steak restaurant with a badass name to boot!

Bonnie Kerr

Amazing food. You have to try the grill

michael chen

The cooking show was fun, seafood does not taste good, more seasoning should make it be better, steak and chicken was average, however the vegetables was great! Customer service is friendly.

John McAvoy

This is the most cringe inducing place I have ever eaten at. Benihana was a fad from the 80's. There is no reason to force cheap lighting and bad juggling onto patrons and employees. It sours the evening and the otherwise great food.

I would probably call this the fanciest place in Prince George. Dinner and a show is always exciting and that's exactly what this restaurant gives you. Staff are really friendly and if you come in on your birthday you get a free meal.

Always happy to eat here... Great service.

Brent Freborg

Delicious food! 2 for 1 on Thursday is the way to go! A spectacular show was put on as well on during dinner service!

Melissa

This is a four ???? all because of our chefs. They were entertaining, engaging and flamboyant. Really and truly they made the "Shogun Experience" worth the ticket price. The food was well cooked. Veggies weren't over cooked and you could cut …

I loved the experience and the food is amazing! Not exactly the inexpensive places to eat but the trade off is a wonderful experience of watching your food prepared in front of you, the presentation of the food cooking in front of you and …

Randy Sagoo

Great food and service. If you want to have the food cooked at your table, make sure to call ahead. Have been there a couple of times now and will be going back more often.

It's a great place! Good food... I'm very full!

Mike Sikorski

Having lived in Prince George all my life I can not understand why I have not been there until today. The Sushi is some of the best sushi in town and the Tepynaki was out standing. The Chef was so nice and was so fun. Often letting us know …

Shahin Hosseini

Excellent food and service!

Daphne Tofsrud

The food, service, and the cooks are all amazing! I would go back as well and recommend the place to everyone!!

Nathan Johnson

Amazing restaruant. Just, blew my mind at the quality of everything. Only down side is the high prices, but you do get what you pay for.

Aimis Marion

One of the best steaks if not best I've ever had. Make sure you have 2hrs because the food and show is worth the price!

Ashley C

Waited for nearly an hour for 2 rolls. Was made wrong & both rolls has so much mayo you couldn't taste anything else (one piece had at least 1/2 tsp of mayo on it). No mention on the menu that it was made with mayo. Got sick to my stomach. No refund.

Richard Brewer

Went there and they told us our reservations were for 3 not 4 as we had requested. They then said they didn't have enough room for 4 and would rather accomodate the people they were seating beside us as they had a larger party (which was mostly young children under about 6years old) I go there quite often and spend way more money than those children do so they may have accomodated the larger $$ party but lost the larger $$ in the long run as I wont be back.

Another teppanyaki. The food is decent but overpriced. The chefs performance is tacky bordering on cringeworthy, complete with strobe lights and bad juggling. The chefs at the table were friendly but the servers were rude and abrupt. We had to flag them down to order more drinks. We decided to order an assortment of menu items to share. Two people in my party ordered the two most expensive platters on the menu and I ordered 4 rolls. The server brought 2 small bowls of salad, rice and miso soup to my friends who orderedthe platters. When my friend asked if could have my own (since we were sharing) rice, salad and soup, she rudely informed us that they only came with with the platters and not the rolls I ordered. I informed her that I will pay for it. We ordered the most expensive items on the menu along with 2 of the most expensive bottle of wine and she was too cheap to comp us an extra salad and soup?! I do not recommend dining here.

Sushi ok seems like someone tried to do good. Sashimi still half frozen and crunchy (ice) didn't seem fresh and small portion for that price. The biggest problem was for me were the grills, only 2 out of 6 were used at the same time but …

Wow this place was great, the food is super tasty and the chef was so entertaining.

Jerome Johnson

Very fun and enjoyable experience and quality food

smokindiesel

Friendly staff. Decent service. Food somewhat flavourless for being given the impression of fine dining. For Prince George I’d say it is worth going once for the experience! Somewhat overpriced compared to similar in a larger city. 3 stars , given being improvements could be made !

Kyle Dagg

The food was delicious and the staff super friendly!! Had the Samurai combo with steak, chicken, prawns, and veggies and out was all so good. The sauces are great and even the dressing on the salad is amazing!!

Tim Stewart

A great place to enjoy a awesome meal cooked in front of you ....

Luke Barone

Expensive, but quite the experiences! I recommend reservations, and doing the shogun combo

Jocelyn Walker

I always enjoyed Shogun but hadn't been in 5 years. We went for my birthday at the end of November and had such a great time. The food was delicious and the cook Carlos was so great. Usually you imagine nicer restaurants having small amounts of food for more money, but we actually had to take food home and turned down desert.

Cameron Short

We were very impressed with the exceptional service and food. We had a reservation for 10 and were taken care of exceptionally! Carlito our chef was amazing and even made a giant heart on the grill in celebration of the 4 people's birthdays that we were there for! All of the staff went above and beyond!

Poppatapir

Shogun has been a staple in my family's lives for over 20 years. We love the food and the staff even more. We have shared some of our best moments there as far as birthdays, anniversaries, and other triumphs are concerned. Shogun is the best.

Amy Dobson

Always a fun experience and delicious meal! Family loves it!

Great food , fun experience. Good choice for a celebration

Doug Allercott

Excellent service and well priced for what you get! Love this place!

Milo del Valle

Probably one the worst sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to very fishy horrible service and our server wouldn’t write anything down and forget everything and I’m pretty sure the salmon rolls are what made me sick

Wayne McCullough

Great food. Friendly staff

Matthew Wakeham

Great place to go for Tepanyaki cuisine. Very original and unlike anything else in Prince George. Only draw back is the high price that comes with the unique experience

Priyanka Bagolia

This place definitely offers well prepared Japanese food . Being an avid lover of Japanese food myself, I felt the place offers a good selection of dishes . In their teppanyaki meal I tried beef, scallops, prawns, lobster and chicken with their salad and rice . All the meats were very well cooked . They offer two sauces and ice cream in the end which again had a very distinct flavour to it . The portion size is good . Apart from the teppanyaki I also liked their assorted sashimi, spicy tako and unagi . The service was also very good, the chef was really interactive and kept us entertained . The hostess was really nice she made sure all the guests were enjoying their meal . I would recommend this place .

Rory Fedoriuk

10/10 would do again great food, fun cooks, fair portions and well worth your wait

Jamie Giede

We go every year for my birthday and went tonight with my 2 year old. He LOVED the show they do while they cook! And the chef was very nice and interactive with him. Great time. :)

Natalie Theessen

Food is ok. The table side entertainment is getting old they never change it up and always the same show. For what yippy pay to go there north worth it

Haley McGee

Amazing food and staff. The chef's are extremely entertaining.

Blake Buchanan

Sho gun combo! My favorite place to eat a bit pricy but the food makes up for it

phil martin

Sushi is very good, the staff was very sweet. The Prince George combo was unreal!

John-Eric Ludwig

Such a great experience. Kids love the show they put on and the food is always great and very filling..

Kehlan Huhn

Great place to take the family or to go for a date the food is amazing the show you get with dinner is very good great for little kids keeps them entertained reservations are advised

Tim Schilds

The Japanese food was very good. Unfortunately the dining room was closed due to Covid so we had to eat in the bar which was not ideal.

Linda Walton

A wonderful dining experience! Loved it as usual.

T Martell

This place is really awesome every time. Cooked right in front of you to order. Outstanding a must try !!!

Tammy Meise

I love this restaurant. Yes it is pricey but it's worth every penny for the experience. I would totally recommend it.

Kyle Smeds

Absolutely fantastic food and service

Kaitlin McGuire

We had our food cooked right infront of us by nook. Hes very funny and personable. Food tasted great.

Brittny Anderson

The food was good. The show is fun. The old fashion that I ordered (not on the menu) was watered down but they remade it for me and it was much better the second time.

gerald rougeau

Wow, what a nice place. Food and service awesome. Took my brother for a birthday dinner. Well worth the price. There was 4 of us, we all are going back.....Thanks Shogun for a wonderful time..

Michael Danon

Definetly a dinner experience worth taking part in. The only one I know of its kind in this area of Canada but a tad over priced compared with other local restaurants. The food is extremely well prepared and cooked. So worth it in my opinion

Meghan Johnson

The worst service I have ever experienced! Waited 20 minutes sitting there so we just got up and left. I would not recommend to anyone.. they were completely rude and got me to move seats when I sat beside my fiancé as they said there would be more people sitting with us... the place was dead. 0/5..

Kyle Hodgkinson

This place has been here forever but has gone down in quality as of late. Food is ok but still quite expensive unless you go on 2 for 1 Tuesday.

Lianne Wagner

YUM! Great food and awesome experience. Have been coming here since I was a kid and it never gets old!

Lindsay Logan

Had the Godzilla teppanyaki and all of it was superb!
