Relaxed atmosphere. Food is always good. Cooked well and seasoned nicely. Today we tried brunch for the first time. Felt very comfortable and really enjoyed the Eggs Benny. Potato rosti a lovely change from the usual hash browns. Such a large number of brunch options too.

We went here on Valentine's Day this year. Loved the interior. The ambiance of the dining had an amazing tone. Usually smaller places like this are loud and bustling. But not here. Everything flowed with the place even when it was super busy an full. The staff was very prompt and knowledgable. New the right instances when to come interrupt the meal without... interrupting..?? If you know what I mean, and weren't a nuisance like so many places. The food was AMAZING. I had Chicken Ceasar and the Wife had the Cod. Definitely coming back again, and again. Keep up the excellent work you guys!!!! Def a new fav place of ours!

I ordered a burger and thought the food was pretty good. Only strange part was when it came time to pay (we used a gift card), the server never brought our gift card back with the $6 balance then disappeared. Sure we were gonna leave a tip but that’s supposed to be the customer’s decision. My mom was treating and was too passive to speak up, so the server got to pick her tip amount on our bill.

went there this evening and the service (don) was outstanding. mind you that paled in comparison to the food we rec'd. my steak was 'cut with a fork' tender and tasty, and my ladies chicken was top notch. (i took a bite and loved it, and i loathe chicken).

Went there for Sunday brunch. Had the Eggs Benny. They used black forest ham and the hollandaise sauce was not overly salty like most places that serve eggs Benny. Loved the potato cakes served with it. Reasonable prices, excellent service at an upscale restaurant. Highly recommend.

Nice decor, attractive furnishings, limited menu with interesting choices ( ie: lamb burger) with terrible acoustics. Like many restaurants, appearance seems to trump function. Impossible to have a conversation with someone across the table, far too much ambient noise. And charging $1.50 for a very small bowl of parmesan cheese for your pasta dish is just rude. I won't be back.

We had a small (14 people) wedding reception dinner at Oakroom Grill, and cannot say enough good things about it! Exceptional and attentive service, terrific/delicious meals served quickly with us all eating at the same time, and dream desserts. Meals are not expensive and not so much on your plate that you over-eat. Wonderful experience all around! YES!

This place was quite good. Nice comfortable booths. I had a burger meal and the portion was huge. The young lady at the front who greeted us was very nice, I hate to say I forgot her name, Elaina I think but forgive me. Our waitress was good and I would come back to this place to try another meal.

My wife called for reservation and told not needed, just come now. Arrived within 7 minutes and told nothing available. Very upsetting, got ready to leave. I went in to check again (different server) and was told table just opened and to come in. Wife was very upset that she’d been turned away and I was not. Mason was very accommodating but the woman who greeted my wife at the door was not.

Insider tip: Buy 2 giftcards á $50 at Costco. Will cost you $75. Enjoy your dinner at Oakroom even more. We had a really nice waiter, very well trained (something Europeans like us are highly appreciate). Food was delicious. We will do this again.

MUST EAT HERE! Food here is amazing. Everything was delicious and generous portion. Ordered steak, perfectly cooked, caesar salad was fresh and crunchy. Prawn with the steak was cooked to perfection. Chef at this place knows flavors. I have eaten at a lot of places and this is on the top places of best food and flavor.

Service was slow. Server was flighty and all.over the place and kind of rude almost... until closer to tip time. If I'd had the same service from beginning to end I would have been much happier. However, my ravioli meal was amazing. But with the length of time it took to get my food and beverage replaced I unfortunately won't go back.

Came in for brunch on Sunday. Nice location with a pleasant atmosphere and the food was great, but the service was not impressive. Our server, Becca, left half way through our meal. There was no communication that we were being transferred over to the manager, our waters weren't filled and we weren't asked if we needed more drinks (by either). Some of the food came out cold, and the manager didn't come over to check on us until we were almost done eating. I would give it another chance because the food was really good, FOH staff not so much.

The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. There were tv's so we could keep an eye on the game but the volume was down so we could still visit. My only gripe is that my burger was cold. The food that wasn't cold was delicious. Too bad.

Nice menu, food was tasty, restaurant was clean. I felt the meals were a bit slow coming out of the kitchen (piping hot to the table though!), and the server was competent and pleasant, but not overly attentive. Overall good experience and we will be back.

I'll tell you right now, it's was our first visit here and I will need to return there. It was my and I first mini-date in sometime as we have 2 children and don't get much alone time. Friendly service from the wait- staff along with a quick turnaround time as per kitchen to table. The food as I had the Halibut special, AMAZING TO SAY THE LEAST! Lived it! Definitely worth every penny!

Nice modern place. The menu was pretty varied and they had full drink menus which is a big plus. Parking is a bit lacking but we did go at the busiest time. They had some live music which was a plus

Very nice option if you want a nice dinner without a movie star price tag. They let us bring the monster children in with us without feeling like we'd just set loose a herd of rats. The food was well done. I thought the portions could be a bit bigger for the price but the ingredients were of good quality and my wife said her butter chicken was as close to authentic as she's had in a long time. Overall, we were quite happy.

Hubby and I went for a brunch date and had the chicken with waffles and the eggs-benny. Both of which were pretty good - not the best we've had, but certainly not the worst. A very clean and well groomed restaurant, and staff are very friendly. Only giving 4/5 because service was pretty slow for a quiet day. We watched our meals sit at the counter for several minutes before being brought over and by then, the eggs were cold. But other than that, a nice little restaurant I'm sure we will venture back to.

Excellent and delicious food, wide selection and variety of ethnic food creations from around the world. Original ideas on cuisine choices. Live music is also very nice. A restaurant that makes it easy to visit with friends around the table because the music isn't too loud. Great service.

We decided to try the Oak Room Grill one night while we were staying in Prince George. I am so happy with the comfortable atmosphere, amazing service & excellent food that I would travel back to PG just to eat there! We ordered a green & grains salad, a beetroot salad and an angry bird crunch. The salads were phenomenal. So flavourful and wonderfully presented. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable. The service from Kristen was the best service I have received in a very long time. We even went in within 40 minutes of closing, yet not once did we feel rushed or that we inconvenienced anyone working there. I just can’t say enough good things about our experience at this restaurant. We will definitely be back! Keep up the good work!!

Very Meh, We ordered take out of the "Oak share platter", it was 30$ after tax and what you get, verse what you pay for, is not worth it at all!! We were still starving after we took it home and won't be going there anymore. A couple chicken wings, soggy fries and rock hard bread with some dip was not worth the price tag.

Server was very friendly and helpful. I had the sea and shore. Seasoning excellent and steak done exactly as ordered. Desserts seemed overpriced and not as good as expected. Maybe not made on site? I would definitely go back but would skip dessert. We had a wonderful time and we’re not rushed at all.

Phoned to ask questions about using a gift card for delivery or pick up and the girl just laughed saying she didnt know. I asked for a manager and she told me to call back another time or day cause he was on break and then she hung up on me. I tried phoning back and after 30mins someone finally picked up and i was told that they were fully packed and the kitchen couldnt take anymore orders. I wasnt even trying to ask about today. No idea if i talked to a manager or not.

Great style. Menu is awesome. Servers are there right when you think "where did they go?". Might have been an off night for the kitchen staff... steaks were a step over done and one had enough seasoning to make you wonder if there was any at all. Didn't mention it to them, so our loss.

From the moment I entered the restaurant I was greeted by the lovely Emily who was so sweet and showed me to my table followed by telling me about the daily specials and who my amazing server would be. Elaina my server then came to my table with a huge smile and pleasant personality and this is where my experience took off... I have been to almost every restaurant in Prince George and this experience was hands down the most amazing. I'll start with the calamari and muscles... omg deadly... best muscles I've ever had from coast to coast. Then the main dishes of halibut and fries and gravy and lettuce wraps... wow... mouth watering and I have tried every fish and chips in town. Hands down the best by far. And the service.....impeccable... and to find out Elaina was in training blew my mind... to even be greeted by the manager Deryn after she found out it was my first time there. This dining experience was so over the top wonderful that this will definitely be one of my regular stops when choosing which restaurant to eat at when I choose to go out for dinner.

The service was very friendly and prompt. The food was very good as well. The fettuccine alfredo pasta had plenty of flavor with a hint of even nutmeg which I found very interesting in a positive way. The garlic bread was a little on the crispy side but had great flavor of actual garlic! The other dish was a chicken and potatoes/mixed veggies that was very good with what I would say resembled a real home meal. The chicken was overcooked unfortunately but I find that with most restaurants as they are trying to make sure they dont kill someone and and attain a lawsuit hahahaha. The portion sizes was a little small for me but I'm also a powerlifter/strongman competitor so my portion sizes are above average for most. All in all it was a very pleasurable experience as the music wasnt too loud, friendly atmosphere and good food. I reccomend this restaurant and I will be returning to try something else on the menu. Cheers!

Love dining at Oakroom as they have so many options to choose from. As a vegetarian, they have lots of variety and every Friday night they have a musician/small band that plays live music. Lot's of varied seating which is also nice. I highly recommended this place. Must try.

I have to Oakroom a few times and have never been satisfied enough to return. This last time will certainly be the last. The food is great but every time I have came in the atmosphere was very unprofessional. the first time I came in was for a staff party. It took the waitress 20 minutes to ask if I wanted anything to drink and the food took another hour to receive as well. Every time I looked over at her she was flirting with the manager. The second time I came in with my wife and was seated in the lounge, which have very nice and comfy chairs and a great view of the TV..BUT I could not enjoy my conversation and meal with my wife because all I could here was the manager yelling at his staff incredibly loud the whole time we were there. The third and final time we were there was a few days ago and the service was horrible. The staff seemed completely untrained and looked like they were terrified every time I looked over at them. It definitly seems that something strange is going on at Oakroom and I will not be back, that’s for sure.

We decided to try here on a whim after we were unable to get in where we originally planned and were pleasantly surprised and glad we came here. First off having the hostess come out and hold the door for you and greet you with a smile, very welcoming. The decor and atmosphere was great. You don't feel crowded at all and my husband loved where we sat. In front of at least a 70" tv with the hockey game on. Various sitting options as well. We ordered calamari to start and it was done perfect and whatever dip they have with it, amazing. My husband ordered the bbq burger the one with three chipotle mayo. It wasn't what he was expecting at all but was so glad he ordered it. It was expecting it to be heavy in the bbq side of things but it wasn't. He said everything blended so well and it had just enough of a bite. He said hands down the best burger he had SMS the fries were spot on. I ordered the sirloin with mushrooms and pearl potatoes and omg, this was exactly what I was wanting. I like my steak medium rare and that's exactly how it came. The mojito also hit the spot and was very refreshing. We will be returning here the next time we are in town for sure. There's a few other items on their menu we both want to try ????.

Nice ambiance and without the overly loud music that a lot of restaurants favour now. The food was not gastropub exceptional but certainly good and for a more than reasonable price. My server, Deryn, mixed an excellent cocktail and made more than sure I was well taken of while I was there. Very personable and constantly on the move to take care of her customers. I was there close to closing and was not rushed from the establishment by any means. Deryn offered to call a cab for me with no prompting on my part, a nice touch. I would return should I be in Prince George again.

My girlfriend and I went in on a Saturday evening, it was not busy, but not quiet either. We waited 15 minutes before they took our drink orders, and 70 minutes before we got our food. Her salmon was over-cooked and over-salted, my medium-rare steak came out much closer to medium-well, and lastly my fries came out less than warm. The only saving grace was the atmosphere.

I only got take-out, but it seems like a great place to take a date. Good seating even with this whole COVID fiasco, and although everybody was visibly talking with their companions, the acoustics weren't making it so everyone had to yell. I have to say there was nothing painful about ordering from the Oakroom Grill. I wasn't made to feel that giving them my money was a process that they really would rather not be involved in. (Had a bad experience with a competitor, so I found these guys on Google Maps.) On to the food! Delicious, still looked presentable in their takeout container, and was cooked to order. I felt it was a little pricey, but I'm also cheap, haha. Still 5 stars ????

We have dined here 3 to 4 times and were quite happy with the food and portion sizes. This time however we were very disappointed to leave hungry. The oak chicken supreme was quite small as was the seafood marinara. My wife had a steak and a small bowl of very plain ceasar salad. Our son had the Butter chicken which is a favorite and it did not disappoint in size or portion. We really enjoyed the ambiance and service at the Oakroom as always. Thank you!

I ordered their Tuna Appy and I asked for it to be just barely cooked & although it was a little raw when mentioned I was hoping to get it cooked just slightly through they scooped it right up , apologized & sent it right back out perfectly as to my request with a great big smile knowing it was done correctly!! Never been to this restaurant before but it was absolutely amazing! Loved the chic look but the food was even better. My new favourite salad The Sockeye Salmon Spinach Salad, I haven't had salmon cooked this perfectly in a veryyyy long time. Not to mention Wednesdays are 50% off bottles of wine which was great of course! ????????Also, we were very impressed with the service and the owner himself came to check on us and I was very happy to give him a glowing review on my new fav salad. Can't wait to come back!

My family and friends went for a birthday dinner for two people tonight. We were disappointed with the food we received and the time it took to get it. My husband and brother in law had ribs and found they were tough and fatty. The mashed potatoes were flavorless and chicken over cooked. We will not be returning again. Disappointed with leaving hungry for the amount of money spent.

It should be called Oakroam sports bar. When asked if we could turn off the sports TV by our table, the manager refused not giving any reasons why. There was only one other table in the place also not watching the annoying flashes of sports. The loud pop music killed any ambience that could of been had by the place. The food was good but not great for the price. For instance the exotic mushroom steak entree had only three slices of mushrooms, hardly what you would expect from the title. Our waitress was stellar though and sympathized with us on wanting the TV off. I won't go back as I'm not into sports bars and that is what it felt like.
