Beautiful view of Long River / South West River. Nice large deck, if you come in the evening bring a sweater or jacket, just in case. They have fresh raw oysters right out of the river. I got one large and 2 small oysters, next time I will just get smalls. I couldn't tell the difference on the plate. The picture I posted was after I ate the oysters. Sorry, I couldn't wait. I had mussels with chorizo and Curry. It was very good, a spicy change from the traditional mussels with garlic and wine. My spouse got fish tacos and have me her jalapenos so that may have also kicked it up a notch. Her fish tacos were cornmeal crusted and nice.

Awful. After being seated I waited 20 minutes and was ignored completely. The snotty teenagers running the place are a bad sign! The menu looked overpriced, but I can't speak about the food because I left in disgust! Go to Carrs just up the road. They are kind and their food is fantastic!

My family and I have been going to PEI every summer for the last 4 years and Sou'West is always on our to-do list. We always look forward to eating there! Best food we've tasted in PEI and we've tried a dozen restaurants. Quality food and ingredients. Nothing frozen, everything tastes very fresh and delicious. It's a bit pricey but we dont mind paying more for better food! Anyone near the area MUST go try it out!

Pros: The very best location, by the water. Oyster farming just front of the eyes. The place is naturally quiet and it gives a real feeling of eating sitting close to nature. Staffs are friendly and open to help. Cons: Flies everywhere (some people are comfortable with that but I'm not), the arome is not quiet fresh inside. The price is bit high.

Nice view and great oysters, however the fish and chips were awful. Waited quite a while for service and when the food arrived, my $17 fish was cold in the centre...not warm, but cold. I can only assume that they're using frozen haddock in a seafood restaurant.

Just an acceptable experience. It took a long time for the food to come and I paid higher price than usual for the lobster roll but also got bigger size, the flavor is as good as expected. They might have a great view but we didn't have the chance to enjoy that so cannot take it as a bonus point; the patio is way too sunny and there are a lot of mosquitoes/flies

What a fantastic place! Stopped for drinks on a trip east and ended up staying until it closed for the night. The staff was amazing and we felt right at home. Wish we could have stayed a second night for more fun but we had to be on the road the next day :( To the staff, You guys rock! Delicious food and great service. We shared a lobster roll and fish tacos. Both were incredible along with the fingerling potatoes and French fried. Had a Caesar (with the bacon wrapped scallop) and partner had a beer. Both hit the spot and were very enjoyable as we looked out over the river.

Few friends and i stopped in for a few drinks after a long drive from mainland. Our server (manager i believe) suggested excellant choices in beer and also put up with our shenanigans. Later on when it slowed down we got to ask a bunch of questions about the island from the bartender (name escapes me but blond hair). He gave us a run down of island life and made some great drinks. Excellent experience and will definitely come back if ever in PEI. Would give 6 stars but no moose.

This place was great. We wish we had eaten our meal here vs. just grabbing drinks. The wait staff was incredible and very talkative, gave it a nice warm and local feel. Warning that the mosquitos are horrific at dusk, but the water view at sunset is gorgeous.

This restaurant was fabulous. We sat by the water, took our time and ate all afternoon under the sun. Great food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend the crab dip and Spinach dip. The potato salad is also amazing. Also, do not leave without the donuts for desert.

Caters to the tourists as I don't think they worry about people coming back. At the price the food was not worth it at all. Fish and chips where soggy and The seafood pasta was flavorless. The only saving grace was the waitress we had was personable and pleasant, you could see she was a little flustered but still was great with the customers.

Went with a family of four. Basically pubenvironment but with an overpriced menu. Fish and chips were not great. Fish itself was not flavorful at all, the batter was not crisp. The fries were average, the other dishes were mediocre. My daughter did love her salad, I am glad she did considering what it cost. Won't be stopping in again.

This is a great seafood restaurant. I have eaten here several times. Excellent Seafood Chowder, Pan-Fried Haddock and salads. The patio is an excellent spot to enjoy a meal and watch clam diggers or small boats coming into or out of the New London Wharf.

We found this place while touring around and we're glad we stopped in. We had some drinks and shared some mussels on the patio. The mussels came with garlic bread and were delicious. The drink prices were more than reasonable($6.00 tequila shots and Flor De Cana rum) and the service was excellent and very friendly. The patio has an amazing view and was very relaxing. We also met the owner who is an awesome guy. A definite must stop.

The place is nice and it's great eating on the patio. The waitress was friendly and helpful. As for the food and drinks I ordered a upstreet beer and my girlfriend ordered a diet Pepsi. The Pepsi came first as they were out of the beer I wanted. The Pepsi came in a blue solo cup(I believe it cost $4!!!!). I thought it weird as I would only expect solo cups used at a concert or bar in town at night(usually even they use glassware). My beer then came and it was in a plastic Moosehead cup. It was warm and foamy(plastic glasses aren't known for keeping your beer cold). This put the idea that things were going to taste cheap even though the prices weren't. The beer was $6(it's the same other places but comes in a pint glass) and the food was around $20 each meal. I got fish and chips and it was $17 which is a bit pricey for the quality. It was ok but I got lots of fries and thought they were good. My girlfriend got the lobster roll which was OK but nothing special(I like how they call the hotdog bun it's on a New England split roll). What's more though you don't get a ketchup bottle but ketchup comes in little plastic disposible dishes. Little things like plastic solo cups and ketchup dishes give things a cheap feeling and make the prices seem more overpriced than they already are. Some people might not notice but most other places around are cheaper and probably have the same or better food. I went there last year and it was better than this. The excuse I was given was the dishwasher couldn't handle all the glasses early in the summer so they decided to switch to plastic cups. Anyways the people and location are nice the owner needs to stop cheaping out and get some glasses as sometimes something as little that ruins the whole experience.

Really good local restaurant by the water. It is super busy beginning of August at any time so call ahead to guarantee a spot. We had fish tacos which were excellent as well as steak sandwich, burger and chicken parmigiana (tomato sauce very tasty). Kids menu included a Mac and cheese which was very good and a sizeable portion had us wrapping up the leftovers to bring back home!

We visited PEI for a few days and really wanted a true seafood experience! beautiful location ,the only con to the place was the abundance of house flys inside the restaurant due to the doors being open for servers to serve the guests in the outdoor patio. I had the fish taco's and they were fantastic!

Went here for take out 1 week ago. I saw great reviews and was expecting something good. WRONG! Chicken wings nothing special. Steak sandwich. Horrible. It's just a piece of steak on an open faced bread and some south western sauce and a huge load of onions. Pass on this! Haddock fish. Again. Nothing wow. I really dont see why such high reviews. This island has a lot of great food and this is a HUGE MISS! $60 down the drain. Could have eaten much better elsewhere for 1/3 or 1/2 the price. Only positive is the staff seemed friendly over phone and in person but this won't make me try this ever again.

During our 8 day stay in PEI this was definitely the best dining experience. The food was good and there were great views from the patio but what stood out to our group was the service. Our server Mikayla made the experience one to remember with her positivity and outgoing personality. It was a busy Sunday lunch time but Mikayla always found time to make sure all our needs were met and that we were satisfied with our experience without overdoing it, it was a topic of conversation on the car ride back how exceptional our server was.

What an amazing place to eat , the foods are amazing desserts are delicious. I have never been here before. My daughter took me her for my birthday and i was very impressed with the service and hospitality. Can't wait to take some friends her so they can have the experience i had .

Very nice dockside bistro with fresh seafood for most tastes. Deck has a beautiful vista of the bay. Lobster roll was magnificent very large with the right amount of sauce. Abundant lobster and excellent roll made for a near perfect roll. Prices are reasonable.

Such a great place with great views! We got there in a busy day (trivia Tuesdays ????) so we had to order take out, but Samantha was super nice and we had the best gluten free lobster roll i have had. Good gluten free options, nice staff, nice views... don't miss it
