Welcomed at the door which is lovely. Service is quick and very lovely. Food is delicious. This was our second visit. Fish was suppose to be haddock but being a fisher lady pretty sure not haddock but still delicious batter and best French Fries around. Prices very reasonable. Wear a sweater as can be cool. Will definitely return.

My girlfriend Caroline and I visited the restaurant for a second time this past Sunday, and she had the burger while I ordered the English breakfast with a cuppa tea, and extra English bacon. It was lovely, and the bacon was the best part. He brines, cures and smokes it himself and the result is a lovely bit of bacon reminiscent of a pea meal Canadian bacon, but with a wonderful hint of smoke that you can smell and taste. Caroline enjoyed her burger, and I liked the bite she let me take of it while sharing my sausage and a strip of bacon with her. What you don’t see in the photo are the grilled tomato and mushrooms underneath the toast. We will be back again, and looking forward to sampling another item off of their menu.

We have stopped several times at the Route2 Dinner and we will be stopping again, and again. The food has always been excellent. The feeling is ”home”, if you are looking for a canned restaurant feel, go to a franchise. The Owners/operators are friendly, the food has never let us down. We will return!

This little Diner is The Best Place we've eating in a long time..Had the Liver and Onions and it was so good...Gravy ,onions, bacon and the vegetables were done to perfection..The People who Run it were very polite, and took all precautions for covid seriously. We Chatted with the Owner /Cook very nice Gentleman with an English Accent(LOL) I hope anyone going to or from Summerside/Kensington Drop in there to eat..resonable prices on everything..Well Worth the Visit..We will be returning...This time to try the Fish it looked so good...Please stop by to try!! You won't be disappointed!

Had to check out this spot just west of Hunter River. Arrived at 11:30am. Breakfast was served until 12:30. This spot was clean, bright and staff friendly. Service was good. My breakfast wrap with tiny home fries actually filled me up. Two thumbs up for the coffee!! Don t let the view from the road stop you. You'll be in for a pleasant surprise!

They have a great variety of food and the staff is very friendly and helpful! The food was delicious! I had a hot turkey sandwich and some poutine as well and my dad had the Liver and onions! Both were fabulous! Their gravy is fantastic! They are also cautious in regards to Covid-19 safety!

THIS IS A 6 STAR RESTAURANT! One of my favourite diners in PEI! Hands down some of the best diner cuisine I’ve had. They always are friendly, they get the door for you when your hands are full on the way out, family owned and operated, and they’re fast and super yummy! Come here near the ATV trails, Skidoo trails, and someone start the car!!! Route 2 Diner is a must try if you’ve never experienced a dine in, or take out at this heavenly place!!!
