Wow! This was incredible. Truly the best Italian restaurant in Charlottetown. Small dinning area, very good for a family outting for a special occasion or a date with your loved one. REAL Italian food, noodles cooked to perfection al dente. Worth every penny. I was tempted to order 3 dishes just for myself! From appetizers to dessert, this is fine dining. Delicious! Thank you Buono Mangia for a good eat.

After approximately a year of limiting our restaurant going experiences (pandemic, etc.) my wife and I have recently begun going out for dinner again. We returned to Bouno Mangia for the first time and discovered the quality had not diminished and the food remains outstanding. The physical establishment has come a long way from the early days on Kent St. but again, the quality has remain unchanged. Service, atmosphere, quality and pricing remain wonderful. Looking forward to the next visit which hopefully will not be delayed by this or another pandemic.

From the Caprese salad to the Shrimp Scampi this had to be the best Italian meal at a restaurant that I have had in a long time. The fresh pasta to die for, a friend had their lasagna which was excellent. It’s a small place and you definitely need a reservation but so worth it. Will be back for sure.

Arrived at 7:30 pm for dinner and was told it was a 20-30 minute wait, which was fine. Out of the 7 tables 2 were empty reserved. We went back in at about 7:50 pm when we saw a couple leaving. There was a lone waitress serving the tables and we knew we would be waiting a bit. We sat down and waited about 15 minutes to get our water and order our meal. At around this time a couple walked in and sat at one of the reserved tables(this comes into play later). We got our $11 bruschetta, which was 4 small pieces, and was OK. Its about 8:25 at this point. Then about 10 minutes later, the couple that sat at the reserved table got their ENTREEs. Remember, we ordered our meal before they even arrived. We waited and waited, and the couple was DONE their meal and we STILL hadn't got our entree. We walked out at 9pm with still no food. Waitress gave some BS excuse. We paid for the overpriced bruschetta and left. Overall terrible experience. Im sure the food would have been good if it ever came. Dont come here unless you have 1.5 hours to wait for your food!

It is so refreshing to dine out and eat food made from scratch with so many large chains getting away with "heat and serve". Such integrity here. The service was warm and inviting and the atmosphere cozy without any hint of pretentiousness. Will be returning often to our new favorite place in Charlottetown.

I'm sorry I cannot pile on with a 4.5 star review. This is a small restaurant with a few tables. The wife is the lone server and the husband cooks. The atmosphere is clean but far from special. The wait time is very long. The portions are very small. The food is tasty. $120+ for two with wine.
