Wow wow wow. Genki's sushi is so amazing! I am from Vancouver where our sushi is obviously incredible - and Genki has better quality than most of the places in the city. Not to mention the staff are so lovely and remember all of their customers. I won't be going back to Powell River for a while and will miss Genki so much! Thank you!

My favorite local sushi with generous servings, courteous staff and reasonable prices. Spicy agadashi is my favorite dish here. Just ask for no benito to make it vegan. Lots of vegan options. Yum Yay.

Easily in my Top 5 restaurants in PR. Delicious. They are definitely worth the stop. My only issue (that has nothing to do with them) is that they have barely any parking. But they have no control over that, and given the location, are unable to change that either. But the food is great.

Locally owned. Lots of healthy food on the menu. They use some local produce from local fishermen, when available and depending on the season. Such as shrimps from Powell River. Lots of sushi to choose from on the menu. Friendly services. Lots of room for large groups. Large outdoor balcony & ocean view. Easy & free parking.

Decent sushi if you are craving some. Service is quick. Hard to say more about it. Doesn't have anything that would make them stand out from most other sushi you may find in any city in the Pacific North West.

This sushi place is quite nice. It has a beautiful deck that you can sit on and enjoy the view of the ocean, and the food is great not too expensive either. I take friends here quite often to have a nice tasty meal and a good time.

Went here for dinner food was great, service was great and the tea was great too. I definitely recommend going. We went during a heart wave, after they gave us each a slice of watermelon. The server said to help stay hydrated In the heat. This was awesome i don't know if it's a normal thing for them but I loved it (I'm a sucker for watermelon). I think all restaurant should do this. We bright our baby in and that wasn't a problem, he was in his car seat and didn't cry. I highly recommend going here!

New rule of thumb: if you go to a smaller, industry type town, you should aim to eat similar cuisine. Offering humble, bacon and cheese stuffed rolls, the food is an obvious fusion - think Japanese influenced Canadian food. The staff are friendly, albeit Korean rather than Japanese. The space is nice, and it's definitely still a step up from airport or grocery store rolls. The Genki roll is really good: slightly spicy and great texture. The Powell River roll is a tad wet.

The sushi was very fresh and tasty. We enjoyed it very much. I didn't give it a 5 as they did not have everything available that appeared on the menu. The tuna sashimi was still partially frozen. One of our rolls came quite late....server error. The staff was very apologetic and very nice in dealing with these issues.

Best sushi EVER. Amazing customer service, I travelled from Texada to eat here and the wait time was 2 hours so I would have missed my boat home. The friendly lady accomodated me and made sure I got my food in time.

I ordered Korean original fried chicken here for the first time. It's unbelievable! The chicken is so delicious. It's even better than some places in Vancouver. Must try If you are a fan of Korean fried chicken! Price is reasonable. Next time I will try sweet/spicy one ????. Also love Sushi and friendly services

We decided to try this place because the combination of fried chicken and sushi seems a little odd. We ordered a 1/2 order of the original fried chicken with a side order of their sweet and spicy sauce because I don't do spice and a couple of rolls. We checked out the Art Gallery down the street while we waited for our take-out to be ready. The fried chicken was really good, Hubby said the sauce was also very good, but I didn't try it after he said "yup, that's spicy". The rolls were ok, the one roll had a sauce that neither of us cared for, but the other roll (Crazy roll) was good. The tobiko and tuna nigiri were good. I would go here again, but I'd probably get a full order of the chicken.
