The restaurant came highly recommended by a friend and it did NOT disappoint. The evening started with Baked Brie and it just got better as the evening progressed! The Chicken Tagliatelle was flavourful and the portion was filling. The Halibut with the lentils was a perfect combination of flavours! Each meal was perfectly paired by NS wine from their wine list. Now, the Lemon Lavender Cheesecake! The Cheesecake was an experience that I would suggest you don’t skip, it was a perfect way to end dinner with a coffee. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. A true pleasure to have dined at Pictou Lodge!

Easily the best dining experiance in Pictou County. Gorgeous view, rustic decour, diverse and accommodating menu options, friendly staff. Really positive environment. Also, has a fantastic bar, with a great selection of local craft brews and spirits, wines, as well as some really good scotches. Just a better place then we deserve in this county honestly.

SUPER HAUNTED! IM IN LOVE. OK first night I checked in with family, I was washing my face in the washroom. My family was on the beds chilling. I hear knock knock on the washroom door and I tell them to come in, which I thought was weird because my family never knocks, and the door was slightly opened anyway. Anyway I yell "come in" the second time, and my dad was like "what? Who are u talking to?" A lil spooked, I finished up washing my face and went out and asked who knocked on the door. My family said noone did... Went out to talk to my brother's friend who stayed at this lodge 7 years ago, and he also said it's haunted. He saw a ghost on the stairs to one of the cabins back then. Spooky.

Pictou Lodge has some stunning views, excellent food and beautiful areas to stay. If your looking for a nice getaway then this place is a must. Every weekend we look there is some form of an event or wedding. On the day of these photos we stopped in for their brunch. The portions were great but not overly so. The Shipbuilders Breakfest was my all time favorite and more food then I could ask for (the banana bread french toast was a shock to my system, could of ate a loaf worth). Definitely 5 star worthy !

Considering the good things I had heard about the place once finally going I found that overall for the price it was poorly put together. The suites weren't very nice in comparison with other places for the same price and the restaurant wasn't much to rave about either. Had the lobster mac and cheese and it left more to be desired. I've had better from food trucks. Lots of potential but the nicest thing about his place is the ocean views. Which i suppose is what attracts those who aren't locals.

Amazing food Amazing service!!!! We went on vacation in the Pictou area and I had lots of patients that told me to visit for dinner. They were soooooo right! it was so good we came back for breakfast..... It was so good we came back again for another dinner and breakfast during our stay. lol

It was our 30th anniversary and we choose to go to pictou Lodge. We had a great dinner. My only suggestion would be that you provide wet whips to those who order ribs.
