I cannot say enough good things. We had purchased their Thanksgiving meal and there was a slight issue. I called and it was rectified in a matter of seconds and they went over and above. Thank you so much.

Certified carnivore and I love the Ameliasburgher, and not just for the pun. Basically their entire burger/sandwich menu is unbeatable in the county. Their tacos come in threes and are massive. Would get drunk here every night for the rest of my life 10/10

We were told this was the happening place in town. Friendly staff, live music and great food. Sounds happening p me. There is seating on the patio, complete with overhead heaters and blankets for chilly evenings. Lots of beers on tap, both local and other Ontario craft brews and of course local wines. They have sharing plates as well as a full dinnet menu. The dinner menu is perfect, no endless pages of options but basic dishes with twists. Something for everyone. After a day of wines and craft beers, we changed it up and enjoyed some whiskies and the brewers plate. Fun, cozy and friendly atmosphere. Popular with locals. We enjoyed the live solo music show. Definitely worth a stop.

We really enjoyed our meal of Fish and Chips plus a flight of beer. The fish and chips were really good. Our beers were choosen based on our likes and they were a good selection. Cute decor

My husband and I went on Canada Day, and they only have around 6 tables available on their patio. The wait was around 25mins. They call you when your seat is ready. The service was good, and the waiters are friendly, but the food is mediocre. The fish we had had great batter, crispy and light, but it wasn't seasoned, it was quite bland. The fried chicken sandwich was the same, the batter's texture was good though. The fries were descent. Pricing was okay.

A yummy stop in a cute town. Nothing topped our two cheesy appetizers: the artichoke spinach dip and the French onion soup. Both were stretchy cheesy goodness, especially the dip. The mains were nice as well: yummy falafel, great beets, and a nice daal. Friendly service and great local stuff on tap (not to mention beer cocktails?!?!). I'd definitely make the trip back.

I was really surprised with the broad selection of great Ontario beers. Over 20 taps on the go, with a wide range of styles. Our server (Angus) , and was quite knowledgeable and very attentive. We were on their patio, and as it was cold, were only one of two tables out there. Nonetheless, even though the inside was packed, we were never with an empty glass. We will definitely be back!

The wollenburger is juicy and served with very fresh greens as well as some of the best fries I’ve had. Service was great and complementary to sitting on the patio

Easily some of the best food and service I've ever had. Had the fish and chips and my fiance had the brisket sandwich and both were to die for. Next time we come to PEC, this will be a regular stop!

Alexandra Belloy-Poudrette

The food was amazing, as were the drinks. The service was quick and on point. They take your number if they don't have a table right away so you can continue strolling around and they'll give you a call. We had their ribs and fish tacos - amazing!!

The County Canteen was great. The staff are friendly and courteous without being overly present, the beer, cider, and wine selection is very varied, and the food was tremendously delicious. Not overly refined, generous portions, well seasoned and intelligently crafted food. If I was lucky enough to come to Picton more often, they would know me by name.

Great food stop after visiting the Sandbanks. Really good pub food with small twists. Try the wings. They're pretty awesome. Shout out to Rachel for the great service.

Wow. Fabulous pulled pork sandwich & black bean burger with fries. Large portions and very reasonably priced. Plenty of craft brews ???? on tap to quench your thirst. Very friendly and accommodating staff, that follows all Covid protocols.

Great experience! Our server was awesome and spent some time giving us recommendations for things to do around town. The food was tasty as well! I had the fish tacos for dinner.

Came here with a few friends during our little trip to PEC. Most of us got the fish/tacos and the wholly burger. Great portions given out and food was tasty. The fish was a bit flavourless. Was tasty with the tartar sauce and spicy mayo. Fries were nice and crisp. Good selection of craft beer on tap. Decent prices for what you’re getting. Service was fine. Our waiter was friendly.

Not only do they have a fabulous space ..they have a great assortment of local wines, beers and spirits along with other favourites. They have a creative assortment of cocktails, their food is to die for (beer battered fish and chips, and the Wollenburger is the best thing ever...my mouth is watering now just typing this.) The servers are wonderful, very attentive, and this location is always in demand, for good reason. Go expecting to wait a bit, but it's worth the wait....every time.

This restaurant looks nice, and inviting from the outside. It was nice inside, and had a great atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly, and attentive. Best service I have had anywhere in a long time. We ordered the Wollenburger, and the Lobster Sandwich. Both came with fries. The food was delicious. The meals were hot and all ingredients were fresh. There was a house special ketchup served with it, which was incredible. They played great music the whole time I was there. A variety of people were there, from couples, to families, and people at the bar. If you're in Picton, this is definitely the place you should go to eat.

Phil Kidd

Great food and service. If you're looking to eat here during peak season then show up 30-45 minutes before your intended chow down time, as there is usually a wait list! Bean hummus was delicious with their fresh baguette ????.

Sherry Migliaccio

Delicious food. Great craft beer. Friendly servers n

There are different activities almost every day of the week. So there should good ambiance most of the time. The food is good. They are very generous with their ribs. You won't walk out of there hungry after eating that. The service is friendly and efficient. We sat at the bar and had a very good time. Great place to be at if you pass info by the area. The prices are also very reasonable. Cheers to the staff!

We visited The County Canteen on a whim while exploring the lovely town of Picton and wow were we ever impressed! Not only were the food portions large and filling but the food itself was top notch! The cozy atmosphere, and perfect people watching patio was a nice touch as well. We will be returning for sure!

Got take out from here two times when I visited Picton - both times were amazing! Fresh food, great flavours, good portions, awesome service.

I never write poor reviews but I felt compelled to say something after the terrible service we just experienced. Arrived at 8:30, hostess immediately dismissed us and told us that the kitchen was closing, even though we arrived an hour and a half before closing. We were told that they had no tables left even though there were two empty tables on the patio in plain sight (we know these tables weren't reserved as we called earlier and were told that they don't take reservations). We left and walked down the street for a couple minutes, turned around and walked passed the restaurant again to head home and saw two other couples being seated. My wife made a comment to the waitress who couldn't give us a good explanation as to why they seated these couples and refused to seat us. It was clear that they just didn't want us there for whatever reason. Honestly, just a really, really upsetting experience.

So delicious, too busy I forgot to take a picture of our yummy dinner! Excellent service too!

Jeff Kent

A good place in downtown Picton. The food is standard pub fare and the service is friendly. They seem to still be figuring out the new COVID world rules, but overall a pleasant evening. They have a nice little outdoor area for the warmer weather.

Mark Nusko

Went here for countylicious, they had an Aussie inspired menu. And crikey was it good! I've had kangaroo sausage before, it's usually dry, but these were cooked perfectly! Not dry at all. And my wife had the lamb burger, again. Wonderful.

Cynthia Hoy

Menu is very limited with many deep fried items. Starters almost the same price as mains. Service was adequate. Seating arrangements nice but outdoor bars stools uncomfortable. Bar items expensive. Good COVID protocols.

We visited this restaurant today. It was a busy day for them! However, we were seated quickly and treated respectfully (I have a certified Service Dog for PTSD). I have celiac disease and asked the server what was safe for me and he indicated the Yalla Bowl. However, on their online menu they do say that the fries and nachos are gluten free, but this is only if you aren't celiac, so just a heads up. It was delicious. We would definitely come back.

Sadly the food here was disappointing. Service was good and the food didn’t take too long to come out, fries and garlic aioli were the only good part of the meal. It’s the only place open a bit later that I was able to find but the burgers we got were not good, I wouldn’t recommend the fried chicken sandwich or black bean burger. Everything lacked flavour and was mediocre at best.
