Hands down my favorite place to go for a guilt-free meal. Their salads are bomb, as are their gyros. Love all of their apps too (try their spicy feta and Greek fries, you'll fall in love!). I always leave here feeling full and satisfied(usually with leftovers). A staple in Peterborough dining.

I had heard about The Favourite Greek as being a pretty good Greek restaurant, so after a play on a Tuesday afternoon we went there. THey have a gyro special up until 3 so we each had one with a Greek salad. The salad was ok.....but nothing special. Still weird how Greek restaurants in Ontario use iceberg lettuce, while authentic Greek restaurants in the West (or in Greece I'm told) only use cucumber. The gyro was very nice.....lamb/beef combination wasn't too salty, and they have a nice garlicky tsatsiki sauce.

Although under construction and a little dark inside, the staff music and most importantly food is amazing. Lunch specials are around $9.00 and you get lots of food. They have a deal for dinner and a movie, but I'm not sure which night it is. I really like the red pepper feta dip with pitas. You can usually never finish it and it reheats nicely. But the soulvaki dinners are also very good. I usually get the potatoes as a side. Super cute waitress makes me want to go back, however the amazing food is worth it every time. I don't see how anyone would give this establishment a low rating.

I've only been here once but the staff were great. They were so friendly and they chatted with us as we waited for out food. It wasn't too busy at the time so the staff were not ignoring anyone. The staff seem to get on we'll with each other so I get a sense of a good, strong team. I thought the food we got was also really nice and filling. I'd go again for a proper meal rather than getting something small.

I have been here many times for lunch and the food has never disappointed me. The servers are good and the food always taste good. Lunch can be busy and so it can take some time to get your food so plan accordingly. They have a very good selection of different Greek food and the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone. They also do dinner as well as a dinner and a movie combo for $20. So it would make for a cheaper date of you needed that.

Always great food and always generous, 85% of the time the waiters are fantastic and you dont have to ask for anything, but sometimes it feels like you're being ignored and you have to wait 15 minutes for refills and stuff or ask yourself. Overall though it's a fantastic atmosphere, delicious food that is made super quick! You're my number one choice in town.

Being Greek I must say I use to order from here once a week for the family and work but every time I do, they always seem to miss items. It gets annoying and they value Skip delivery than those customers waiting. Told 5 mins all the time but Skip deliver drivers take priority, 20 mins after 5 minutes told to wait leaves a bad impression. This Greek is taking his business else where.

Food was fantastic, my only complaint is that it seems to be gone so fast :) I literally have no suggestions for improvement at this establishment. The menu prices are fair, the quality of the food is a solid 4.3 out of 5 and the plating is decent, certainly not a mess it's well presented. Setting is cosy and the seats are comfortable. All in all I would not only go back here but I'd recommend it to others. Solid choice as well for lunch as they have a lunch special that's only ten bucks for a gyro and a salad or fries.

Price to food ratio and quality of food is very good. $9.49 for lunch special. Greek salad, potato, meat and tzatziki. Very good flavour as well. Great customer service too. Love this place. My go to when visiting Peterborough.

Good food. The atmosphere was really family style. Also the $18 dollar appetizer platter has become a joke with us. Anytime my wife says something is expensive I say its half the price of a Greek platter. Was like a couple dips and a few pitas for almost $20. They gotta look at that pricing. Also looked like it was thrown together. The mains were good. Wife said pork was up there with best pork she's eaten.

Hands down the best greek food I've ever had, You can tell its homemade and there is care put into your meal. I had the lamb dinner and my friend had the chicken, both of our meals were cooked perfect and the waitress was very attentive. Our bill was $58 for our dinner and two glasses of wine ..great value! My only suggestion is to call ahead for a table, we did have to wait a few minutes (but it was worth it!!) We will be back soon

I called The Favorite Greek at 2:30 this afternoon to preorder my dinner. I asked for it to be delivered for 6:30. Well it was as prompt as it could be. The food was hot, VERY tasty and there was PLENTY to go around. Dawn took my order and was EXTREMELY friendly. She took the time to explain my options and gave me a price point.

I often get take out more than I dine in and they are always so quick to answer the phone, they let me know how long it'll taken and often the cost of what it'll be. As soon as I walk in to the restaurant they go out of their way to either let me know they will be a minute or that my food will still be a few. Such friendly staff, the owner is always working in the kitchen. All around a great place !

Ordered the gyro platter and was severely disappointed. For 17$ I recieved meat and fries, with a small greek salad. It is my own fault for assuming it would be a gyro, and not just meat and fries thrown in styrofoam. My husband got the souvlaki dinner, which was equally as disappointing (the food was great.) Got extra fries, feta, and an extra tzatziki and pitas and it was 60$ total. Definitely not worth it. Will not be ordering again.

Terrible food, they apparently cater but only to soul crushing events clearly. Their gyro meat is like show leather, genuinely unappealing in every way.
