Chicken tikka was juicy ,fresh & way tastier than even Indian Restaurant. Baba Ganoush was spot on, freshly made with the spoon of olive oil to enhance. Service provided by the owner was impeccable. Would be on my list to visit more often :)

Seriously the food here is amazing! It’s always so fresh and the sauces are also so delicious. I crave it all the time LOL Also the owner is always so nice and pleasant! Trust me if you eat here you will not want to eat at the other middle eastern place Just down the the street closer to the University.

The fettuccine was fresh, a perfect al dente, something that other restaurant seem to miss the mark on. It seems the pasta water was well seasoned as the noodles themselves gave that slight bite of salt. The pink sauce had a nice level of richness that helped give the vegetables that boost of flavour when it hit your palate.

Had an amazing quick lunch at Tacheena! First time here, and will definitely return. Split the Falafel salad between two - was truly appetizing, made with care, and it was very fresh! Also had the baklava for dessert, had a very nice touch of spice (not sure which one, maybe coriander?)

Top notch restaurant, we will definitely be ordering again! I had the Chicken Tacheena and my Partner had the Spicy Chicken Guss. We just moved to the area and thought to try something different. We inquired about gluten & dairy free and we were assured that our order was compliant.

Stopped in for lunch here for the first time and it was lovely! They have so many vegetarian options and they all look delicious. The falafel plate was fantastic and so were the salads. Excellent customer service as well. Thank you very much for a great lunch. I will be back to try them all!

Tacheena is authentic quality Iraqi cuisine with great customer service. You always feel at home when you stop by to order. The Lamb Tikka is made to perfection and is a staple order of mine. I would definitely recommend trying it or the Chicken Tacheena with the potatoes and garlic sauce on top (Trust the combination) it is fully flavoured and delicious.

Absolutely delicious! We love the falalfal, perfectly flavoured & cooked, not at all dry. Also love the little roasted garlic potatoes and the delicious dips & sauces. Highly recommend! Terrific service!! :)

This is by far the BEST most AMAZING halal restaurant, not to mention the INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY owner in Peterborough! Me and my wife were visiting the town when we stopped at this shop - were greeted by the owner, who answered all our questions and suggested QUZI. It was so delicious and flavorful. The serving was generous too (enough for the two of us). Moreover, we were so impressed by the hospitality of the owner that we can't wait to visit his place again. Anyone, looking to enjoy delicious Middle Eastern Cuisine, then this place should be on top of your list!

Excellent Mid East food, very clean, food very very fresh. I went today with friends, hospitality was 10 out 10, we got mix chicken and authentic Iraqi Kabab, very juicy, server on top Rice with variety of salads, Hummus. Owner was very welcoming, we ended our meal with Baklava and tea. This place must be visited, City of Peterborough welcoming such place to have variety of authentic food.

Tacheena had their Grand Opening today and the food was FANTASTIC!!! My coworkers and I shared a huge to-go plate of food as the portions are incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant and the customer service is amazing. I only get a half hour lunch at my job and the owner prepared my food in no time!!!

Excellent service. Was my first time trying this place and I will definitely be back! Edit: 4 months later and just ordered again. Ordered the falafel wrap again and it was just as delicious as I remember the first. Great portion size! Wish I had discovered this place sooner!

Went here for a quick and easy dinner with my family. It was delicious! The man behind the counter was friendly and helpful when it came to ordering. Menu is fairly small but they do everything perfectly. I had lamb Tikka, lamb wasn't fatty (which is hard to find), it was well seasoned and much softer more tender then I expected it to be. All and all this was a perfect find!

Had the Beef Tacheena which was a savory, delicate and filling delight. Baclava was also a refined experience, not too sweet and delicious flavors. Friendly family run we will be back tomorrow to try the falafel. What a great find!

Stopped to check out this restaurant as we recently bought a farm just up the road. I met the owner, Hussein and spent 20 minutes chatting with him about cooking, his former career as a university professor back in Iraq, his children, my children … and life. Hussein is kind, courteous and he and his wife know there way around a kitchen! I ordered a chicken schwarma platter to go with an order of hummus. The schwarma was spiced with a delicate mix of Iraqi seasoning, medium and hot sauce and tahini on the side. It was delicious. But the stand out here is the homemade hummus. It’s a velvety, creamy, garlicky spread that is one of the best I have ever had (I know my hummus btw!) Bravo/ Shokra/Todah/Thanks!

Flafels wraps are bomb! Falafels themselves were a great size, flavourful. Not dry, which you find as the usual. Pleasant service as well. Plates and mains are on the expensive side by quite bit. But the wraps are reasonable.

My son and I just enjoyed the most fabulous meal from Tacheena. We had savoury Chicken Schwarma, crispy, fresh salad, homemade Baba Ganouche and Hummus to die for. Everything was prepared with care and served graciously. Excellent!

The slow cooked chicken (Maqluba) and lamb shank (Quzi) are the best I ever had. You will need to place the Maqluba order the day before as it is slowed cooked to perfection. Highly recommend them if you like either types of meat. Sides are also really good, especially the salad. Light yet very flavourful. The owners are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

We were on our way home an decided to check out this new place, on Water near Marina, where the bakery used to be. The food was excellent, and the service was fast and friendly. It seems more geared to take out and delivery, but we were comfortable at our table, and we were the only ones enjoying a fast, cheap dinner. We will definitely be visiting again.

Best falafel I have ever eaten. Crispy on the outside, moist in the middle. Delicious toppings. Best baklava too. Not too sweet. Hint of cardamon. Highly recommend. I would give 12 stars if it was possible. People are very nice. Service is excellent.

Love tacheena. Everything is Halal and Soo delicious. The place is bright, open, clean and new. The staff are absolutely lovely and engaging people. Ordered the beef kabab in a wrap and lamb tikka in a wrap. Both tasted amazing and fresh. It's now one of my favorite restaurants.

The owner is extremely friendly. But I didn't find the food flavorful. Lackings of seasoning was profound. More seasoning and flavors, Boom! You go. Good place for hang out. The location is a bit odd but that's not a problem at all. Quantity wise it was very good. I am not criticizing. These are my suggestions. Everyone have something to improve. Hope to go back there soon.
