Poor desert selection. Menu has changed. Cook refused to cook my food the way I prefer. Egg on meatloaf. I ask for the egg over hard and it comes sunny side up. I sent it back and it comes back runny and I'm told the cook refuses to cook it over hard.

Ate a few meals there while my sister stayed was here with her huge family. Everything I ate was very good. The service was great and they were very accommodating to the needs of a family of over 20 with lots of small children. Highly recommend.

It's okay. I go every year for our work party and always order something that proves to be alright. If you're looking for reliable, average food, this is probably better than some of the other chains in the area. Still, it's kind of "meh." If you're looking for good food and a dining experience that isn't simply "run of the mill," there are many other restaurants in Peterborough to choose from, especially in the downtown area. Keep looking!

The food was pretty roughly put together, but not much can be expected from a chain. It tasted alright, nothing special. It is definitely overpriced for the quality. The drinks tasted quite a bit like chlorine and I wasn’t too overly impressed with the service. Don’t think I’ll be back in a hurry, just wasn’t worth it for the price.

There were very few staff and a particular one that served my table was being rude to families, about age and appearance, not okay. Food was overcooked, especially the burger and there was no reciprocation about how the given meal was. Will not come again.

Yesterday I went w my family to try “Burger Fest”. Place has been recently remodeled and renovated overall was done very well. Staff was very courteous and polite and took to our table. Our hostess was very nice and pleasant. We order Bourbon and Amazeball burgers with house salad, we asked our hostess to bring a sample of Crazy Fries which was nice and good to try. Burgers was very nicely done and well presented, however the buns was cold like ice cube, it seems chefs just took it out of fridge, this has ruined the whole experience and if chefs took 20 seconds to toasted buns will be a different ball game. I told our hostess and she said he must be very busy. I wish that chefs took extras care and I could wait another minutes to have a perfect Burger. Update, Kelsey’s management took notice of my review, and took right action , they are very serious and concern about my review they kindly show their concern and correcting the situation. Thank to management to look at this from customer satisfaction point of view. Thanks for all follow-up. It’s shows they CARE.

Had the best time tonight with our server Andy!! He was kind and patient with our 19 month old son. He was fun, knowledgeable and ensured we were happy and looked after. Our food was yummy and after our meals Andy picked out some toys for our son and got down on his knee to his level and gave him the toys and a high five. Our son was so happy with Andy and that made us happy. Thank you for the wonderful dinner.

Been here several times. Service got worse as time went on. Portions of everything became quite small and service went down hill, unless you drink alcohol. They seem to cater to drinkers & bar goers. Insofar as a decent restaurant to have a quality meal & service, I would suggest to look elsewhere. After 20 minutes food arrived, and non of even had cutlery...& had to ask for it even then..! Very poor. Just another lousy restaurant in Peterborough to avoid.

UPDATE: Love their burgers at Kelsey's but I tried the gluten-free bun with my burger today for the first time and it was horrible! I didn't even want to pay $15 for it. The bun just disintegrated and crumbled as I was eating it so that the whole burger fell apart in my hands. I wish I had thought to take a photo to post here to show how bad it was. It also tasted like the oldest, stalest bread ever! I buy gluten-free bread and buns at home and it doesn't crumble into pieces so I know it's just the type/brand of bun used from Ace Bakery. But on the plus side, we had a fabulous waitress who served us around 1pm today. She went above and beyond to serve us efficiently, answer all of our menu/nutrition related questions, helped saved us money and expedited our order and payment so that we could eat and leave quickly to get to an appt. She made it such an enjoyable experience! I didn't catch her name but we sat towards the back of the restaurant in front of the party room and across from the kitchen by the windows (in front of the computer). She was tall, dirty blonde hair, ponytail and very friendly, smiley and perky. She was a delight and provided superior customer service! One other small thing that I don't like in the washrooms is that the toilets are still super low and haven't been replaced to new, higher toilets. Also, the new taps that were installed with the renovation look super nice and trendy but they're so unhygienic because you have to touch the taps to turn them off after you've already washed your hands. Automatic taps are way better in public restrooms for sanitary reasons. I also found the taps frustrating to know which way to turn them on and off and the water sprays out fast if you turn them too far and can easily splash your clothes. Not the best faucet choice, that's for sure! Seems like they opted for style and appearance over functionality, user-friendliness and sanitary needs. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Kelsey's is so disappointing now! It used to be my favourite restaurants but ever since they rebranded to the Roadhouse, it's gone downhill. They changed their menu and decor, but not for the better in my opinion. The prices have gone up a lot and the portion sizes are really small now. They also got rid of a lot of my favourite menu items or changed them so that they aren't as good anymore. And the decor has changed the feel of the restaurant so that it's not comfortable and cozy anymore. I wish they'd bring the old Kelsey's back again!

Last night was the MOST delicious steak dinner I have ever eaten!!! Kudos to the chef...If I could leave 10 stars I certainly would. Kelseys is certainly my choice from this day forward for a dinner out on the town. Our server (Irina C) was fantastic! (Irina C) was super friendly and courteous and you could tell that she really cared about her job. Last night was the BEST experience I have ever had at a restaurant since I moved to Peterborough in 2007. Way to go Kelseys, (Irina C) and the Chef!!!! So awesome! :)

Burger 101 patty was comparable to McDonalds Happy meal burger for size of patty and taste. Ordered an appetizer before our meal and the waitress forgot to call it in so we never did receive it. She did offer to call it in for us when she arrived at our table with our food but by then we had our meal so we didn't want the appetizer because we had our meal

Went tonight for the first time to watch the Raptors game. Surprised I've never noticed this place before. Service was great, food was great, good selection of beers and atmosphere was great. Really enjoyed our night! Only suggestion is sound for the game echoed and hard to hear. We will definitely be back again!

The mushroom burger was excellent. All of the food at our table was very good. Quessedilla and chicken thighs. Fries are great, and casesr salad too. Delightful meal, great service and I could watch the baseball game to boot. Infection Control protocols were spot on. $72 for 3 meals with one alcoholic beverage.

Service was great. Roasted red pepper and tomato soup was awesome. Unfortunately the grilled cheese sandwich was mostly bread and very little cheese. I know it's only a grilled cheese sandwich. That's why I expected it to be half-decent. The beet feta chicken salad was good but if you do not like a lot of red onion and I mean a lot make sure you ask them to hold it.

The server on the patio tonight does not even deserve a one star. We arrived for dinner just after 5pm. The young guy at the door was very pleasant. Then we get out to the patio at which had one table occupied. Due to the rain we had tried getting 2 small tables under an umbrella when a female server comes out and very rudely/sarcastically informs us that they have it set up this way for covid reasons and pointed at the empty table beside and said they can't refuse others to sit there. (Some customers service classes for this particular waitress would certainly help) For greater clarity it was the sarcasm that was uncalled for. We are then standing there as our chairs were all soaked in hope of getting a towel to wipe them. The waitress came out with plates/cutlery & napkins for the one occupied table that was literally right behind us, scowled at us and went back inside. It was very clear that we were not welcome.

Make over inside is fresh, open and inviting menu is varied to suit a wide range of taste. Having sauce or toppings changed was easy, not like I was bothering them, which is unfortunately becoming the norm. The burger's where great, and even our server in training was friendly and efficient.

Good thing it’s not full capacity, I feel like I would be a year older. Zero acknowledgment from the staff. We won’t ever be back. Let’s hope the food is at least good. Save yourself the time, don’t bother. Or use skip.

I believe the waitress was named Cheyenne, and she was very kind and helpful and was very understanding of my tomato allergy and did her due diligence to make sure the item i wanted to order was okay for me to eat, which is greatly appreciated. i will be coming back because of this service!

Excellent customer service, especially by "Dave" who we assume is the store manager or owner. We went for burgers (which are really good by the way) but unfortunately my husband's was undercooked. The grill was probably a little too hot is all because they looked done until you bit into it. Dave came over and appologized, took his meal, and gave him some fries to nibble on while he waited for another burger and so I didn't feel awkward scarfing mine down (39 weeks pregnant.. Wasn't waiting LOL). His new burger came super quick and even with a new side. Dave noticed we had waited a little long for service and that we had to ask for forks and knives as well so he said the whole meal was on him and to save room for dessert because that would be on him too. Now that's the way to do it! My husband and I are really chill and respectful people so long as the right thing is done. So it was great when everyone involved got to remain chill and respectful to one another. We thanked Dave and our server and they thanked us for our patience too. Great meal. Tasty burgers. Epic desserts. We will be back (just like Arnold). Possibly to try the fish and chips we saw go by us to someone else's table - looked incredible. Enjoy your time if you go! :)

I've heard good things about this restaurant. So far lve had 2 ltems from the menu. The wings and a cheeseburger. The wings were tasty but not as crispy as l like. Typical though when they are wrapped up for take out. The cheeseburger was really ????great. Big, bold, moist and perfectly cooked with fresh lettuce and tomatoe. Even though it was takeout the people l dealt with were very friendly. Considering what this virus has done to businesses its a miracle that they've survived. I'd give them 10 stars if l could. We owe them our thanks and respect, they certainly have mine. Please support your local businesses. If you can, get the vaccine or booster and let's beat this thing!!! ????????????

Honestly.. I wouldn’t even give this a one star. Service was horrible. I had quite a larger group and our food was horrid. Someone from our group ordered a poutine that tasted horrible. The gravy was comparable to eating playdo , burger was gross and over cooked. We waited well over 30 minutes for our dinner and another 30 mins refill for our drink, our spinach dip dish was dirty. Our server didn’t seem to like her job. Her and the other waitresses were talking about our group within ear shot. No one out of my large group enjoyed their meal. NO ONE!! Please don’t waste your hard earned money at this location! I’ve been to many different Kelseys locations and have NEVER experienced poor service and poor quality food until today. The people from my table and I will never go back to this location.

It was ok. The service was friendly. Took a really LONG time to seat us. ( to the point that we almost left) the greeter was not present at the door. The dining area was warmly lit and comfortable. Booths a good size. I had the mushroom steak with a side of fries and gravy and "fresh" vegetables. My dining partner had the messy fish Sammi with fries and a side of gravey. I ordered my steak medium rare. The messy fish Sammie was very big, well cooked. I tried some of it and personally found it greasy and bland but my friend enjoyed it. My steak. The mushrooms were beautiful, flavourful and we'll cooked. My steak was overdone and came in a rare/ well. Seasoned nicely and still quite flavourful. The veggies were over done, wilted and mushy. And finally my fries. They were under done and crunchy. The dinner itself with drinks came to $58+ and honestly if I planned to spend that much I expected better. That being said. The food was not unpalatable. Just not how it was ordered. The staff was warm and attentive and the drinks... well its hard to get fountain pop wrong. I paid with a 50 dollar gift card, and was shocked when we needed to add money. The drinks came out more expensive than I thought they would. Overall. I would neither recommend nor deter anyone from going here. It was not bad. It just was not a 50+ dollar meal.

I was part of KVEC's staff meeting March 20th. Their meeting area is quiet and private, and staff are just great at meeting all our needs. Thank you! Dinner was absolutely fabulous! I had the Lemon Pepper Salmon. So well prepared on every level! Salmon, veg and rice were perfection! The combination of basil and lemon was a delicious, light accompaniment. Kelsey's. The experience May 11, 2019, was awful. Were to begin...dirty/missing utensils, VERY poor service and less then impressive food. Dirty utensils- two separate knifes had "caked" on food that had to be scrapped off with your nail. 3 of the 5 people sitting with me did not even have utensils. The service was awful to say the least. No interaction from the staff. Barley spoke when taking our order-no personality at all. Not to mention the staff made ZERO effort to up-sell, and seemed annoyed when questions relating to the menu were asked. The wait for the food to arrive was horrific, approximately 35 minutes just for it to get to our table half our group was served and finished eating before the other half even received food. The food was HIGHLY overpriced for the actual product received. I do not mind paying, however I do expect a QUALITY, well portioned, HOT product. Several-and I do me several- different menu items were ordered, and you would be hard pressed to find anything positive to say about ANY of the dishes. The soda pop was flat with little or no carbonation. The drinks ordered from the bar were very inconsistent- the quality was not bad, however 4 of the same drinks were ordered-they all came in various sizes of glasses-none of which were equal in volume -but the price was the same (hard to justify that) Colour of the drinks was even different-no consistence. Its is hard to justify, (believe me I have tried) the issues as the reservations were made over 2 months ago, so they knew we were coming, not prepared Will definitely think twice about choosing Kelsey's again. So sad!

Not sure when they added 'the original roadhouse' moniker, but something is now missing. It's all basic pub fare which provides cause to note the calorie counts on the menu. It is what it is, and it's also somewhat expensive, to be honest.

They go above and beyond to make sure that your order is correct. I always have issues ordering through skip the dishes, something is usually not right and have never had such an amazing experience, no questions asked and got more than what I was asking for. They also will make accommodations if you like something of theirs and its not on the menu. Would highly recommend this place!!!

Food was good but found a hair on the starter we ordered. Hair was even fried with the food. When we called the waitress to tell about the food she didn't even apologized for it. But later manager came and apologized and gave us the fresh one for free for the same dish and also gave us a cash card for the same amount as food. I ordered a carbonara. Was enjoying it but when I was about to finish the food, found another hair again. Didn't complain about it again but it was disgusting. I don't think I'm going again. Even if I go again I'm not going at the same location in Peterborough.

It was my first time at Kelseys - thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Food quality too is very good and was served in reasonable time. The menu I thought was not really extensive though but I guess that's not required. It's on Lansdowne itself and parking is free. They also have an arrangement for conferences and meetings.

Took my parents out for lunch on the patio..and it was great. Sanitizer available and staff wearing masks and gloves. The staff was amazing and so was the food. We felt very secure and safe and would go again. The only difficult part was not wheel chair accessible so had a bit of an issue there but we made it through. Would recommend to everyone as there is limited seating so you dont feel overwhelmed in this day and age.

Usually Kelsey's great but last night June 8 2017 it wasn't. The waitress was awesome but the food lacked in everything. I always order Four Cheese Spinach Dip it was warm the chips were not hot and they were soggy. My husband ordered a steak that was over $30.00 which is ridiculous. I would from now on be trying new places to eat with more selection as there are not a lot of dinners to choose from. Fish and chips would have been a nice selection. The desert menu was also lacking in selections. My daughter had 2 chocolate chip cookies heated with ice cream in the middle. We waited a long time and it was almost $9.00. At this point I wouldn't recommend Kelsey's to anyone. Very disappointed. On our way out there was a woman breast feeding her child not covered up or anything, I think that is deployable, hide them people eating don't want to see that. Management should of respectfully asked her to go into the washroom.
