Absolutely phenomenal, this is my standby here in town. No photograph could ever describe the scents and tastes from Island Cream. Terrific prices, excellent service, food you can't stop thinking about!! Tip: get a jar of their hot sauce, it makes everything I make at home taste so much better - and also makes me long to come back here for more, win/win!

Hands down the most unique and delicious Jerk Chicken this side of Scarborough. You should consider yourself fortunate that we have such a dedicated west indian chef in Ptbo. I've wanted to try the famed roti but always fallback to the Jerk and absolutely love it. I try to visit at least once a month.

Wow!!! <3 The food is great.. they even have ginger beer. Had their Chicken Roti today... Was blown away... The heat is nice. I got the hot Roti which was hot but not overwhelming. Full flavor....The guy was really nice. Notes. Cash Only, Your meal will be around 10+ ish BUT that's because its real food properly prepared. Very much worth it.. If you haven't gone yet then GO! Especially while its cold and miserable out there ;)

Have scoured Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, and other cities and I believe that Island Cream's roti and doubles are really the best. Trini food for reverse coconuts like myself! Ordered the jerk dinner but was only given 2 pieces of dry overcooked chicken that had been slathered with some kind of store bought BBQ sauce. Not authentic jerk chicken at all. I have eaten jerk all over North America and this was by far the worst I have ever eaten. I really wanted to love this place and support a local eatery but I am very disappointed. Restaurant owner also has a poster of Mohammed’s last statement to the muslims hung up that is addressed to only Muslim men and speaks of women like property which also rubbed me the wrong way but I could have overlooked that if the food was at least good.

Homemade Roti shells?!? Amazing you don’t even know~> love me some good eats and this place definitely has awesome take out! I hope everyone supports them so we can continue to have great take out during this crazy social distancing lockdown timeline. I know it is hard for them. My husband is Trinidadian and he says this is the best roti he's ever had. I have to agree - everything is fresh, succulent and tasty. A very pleasant surprise in downtown Peterborough. It's more of a takeout place but there are a few tables.

I just had lunch here for the first time and have to say I was blown away. I was looking for a decent local restaurant on Google, and I found this place because it was close and had great reviews. I couldn't believe the portion size! Literally the biggest roti I've ever had, and the quality was fantastic too. I was expecting a good meal and instead had a great one, 10/10 recommend!

5 star reviewers are on crack! Worst "jerk" chicken I have ever tasted. If you mixed sweet bbq sauce and cayenne pepper that's their jerk. Terrible value $11.75. Half your meal is a pound of mushy rice. Curry goat and beef are flavorless. Waited over half an hour for take out on a Tuesday! And what kind of idiots put cold coleslaw in the same container as the hot food? How this place stays in business is beyond me.

I've never had Caribbean food before, and walked by this little gem while running an errand today. I stopped in on my way back, and that was the best decision. The owner recommended the goat roti. It was amazing! Portions are huge. Excellent service, excellent food!

Great food, great prices. Not the cleanest restaurant in the world but you an say that about almost every jerk stand in Jamaica and still have the best food. The owner is friendly and makes a mean roti. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in Peterborough.This is definitely one of my all time favorite restaurants!!

I love roti. They serve roti so I love Island Cream roti. I had the chicken and it's the size of a dinner plate. So if there's two of you you could probably split one. He also has ginger beer. Unfortunately you cannot get a jerk chicken roti due to a deboning issue. Shouldn't stop you from going, though. A perfect cold weather meal.

Not a fan girlfriend got sick from a chicken roti with not very much chicken on it. Definitely would head to the GTA for better food and portions and a cleaner environment. 1 star is so I could leave this post it's not evenworthy of that.

Avoid the Jerk Chicken dinner. Total rip off. Three pieces with minimal to no meat and all bones. I have had a Roti there and it was good but pricey. The Jerk Chicken ended up being minimal chicken and lots of rice and beans. Better to take your business elsewhere.

Food was tasty, but owner accepts CASH ONLY and no receipt provided, except on a piece of paper. This is 2016, and you need to take debit/credit card and provide a legitimate receipt to customers.
