Friendly and prompt service for take out, but I'm afraid the food was quite bad. The milk on the korma had curdled and the dish tasted off. The rice did not taste like Basmati and the nan tasted like something from the frozen food aisle. The butter chicken tasted nothing like any version of the dish I had before, and appeared to contain a processed chicken. I tasted no spice in anything. I'm not picky. I kinda think Indian food is like pizza - and sex - even when it's bad it's good. But I had to throw my takeout away and order pizza. Very disappointing. Perhaps I'll try Curry Village again in a few months since many seem to give good reviews. But tonight, it was really bad.

Hands down the best Indian food I have ever had. Been to many an Indian restaurant from places in Toronto, Kingston, Montreal, Vancouver, New York, London, to Amsterdam, and Curry Village is still what I hold the standard to that has yet to be beat. So so so good.

Amazing food, great service. Had the chicken curry and shrimp curry with rice, they were so good. Also got mango drink and fresh ice tea, both delicious. The experience was overall perfect, and we ate on the patio. The owner graciously gave us complimentary food as well. Loved it!

We eat here at least once a month. It's our favorite restaurant. The staff are very friendly. We enjoy take in or to go. The vindaloo is our favorite (if you like spicy) - we've never ordered anything we don't like from here though. Recommended!

This Indian restaurant is like no other! Service with a smile and warm greeting and the most delicious authentic Indian cuisine you can get! Chicken korma is perfection so are so many other delicious curry dishes and sides. Mango chutney is unreal as well as the papadum's and onion bhaji. I could go on for days... do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself!

Fantastic and friendly service is just the start here. The food is amazing and comes in portions that will leave you with lunch for work tomorrow. They practice Covid safe pick up and even have outdoor dinning area. Well they have some picnic tables that have been painted by a local artist and the city has cordoned off an area infront of the restaurant for a safe place to enjoy your dining experience.

Absolutely delicious! We are in from out of town from the Ottawa area. Had a craving for some vindaloo and found this place. Delivered hot right to my hotel room. I had the chicken vindaloo with rice and garlic naan bread. Very impressed. Very spicy and tasty! Next time I'm in Peterborough I know where I'm going for supper! Thanks!

Fabulous experience, the two owners are extremely professional and the food is marvellous. We ordered the delicious Samosa's (made from scratch and super fresh), and the white butter chicken, which was an experience on its own. Also, they are always super accommodating with my partner's coconut and nut allergy. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed! Tonight was our second time going this week, we are going back in two weeks with family from out of town.

Overpriced but tasty, service was friendly but some items didn't make sense. 3 dollars for one piece of naan bread and 4 dollars for for a tiny bowl of raita which is just shredded cucumber with two tablespoons of yogurt. Butter chicken was alright, Biryani should be more fluffy less sauced.

I'm used to Indian food in Toronto, and the recipes are apparently a little different here. I have a dairy allergy and unfortunately purchased a Masala that I didn't expect to contain yogurt. With my dietary restriction and the frequency of that ingredient, I'm unlikely to return, but that doesn't necessarily reflect its unsuitability for someone else.

Very confused by all of the high ratings, and I hate to write bad reviews, but we made our order through skip the dishes and to be honest, I'm not really sure what we recieved. The "butter chicken" was a whitish grey colour, very congealed and for some reason sweet. The paneer korma was of the same texture and was extremely sweet for some reason, my boyfriend described it as "porridge". I will give them points for supplying us with the naan bread because we couldn't find it on the skip menu. But to be honest this meal was inedible. We ended up contacting skip the dishes and getting credits back. Super disappointed Edit: after looking through some reviews and photos, I'm assuming we weren't given what we ordered, which is such a shame because it looks good. Let me tell you what a shock it is to recieve something white and sweet when you order butter chicken ????

Ordered chicken dhansak and received a butter chicken by mistake, normally not a problem. I asked to have it exchanged as my stomach is sensitive to cream, I was urged to just have the butter chicken except they would also add hot sauce to make it more like a dhansak. I refused and again mentioned my cream sensitivity. What I received no less than 5 minutes later (cant cook a dhansak in that time) was my butter chicken with hot sauce reheated, which I couldn't eat due to my sensitivity. The cream had curdled from what I can only imagine was being microwaved and when I asked if this was certainly not butter chicken I was assured not and my server quickly walked off and never returned to the table until we signaled for the bill. I'm assuming they thought I couldnt tell the difference between a cream based curry and a lentil and yogurt based curry (not to mention they have a distinct sliced chicken for the butter chicken that was clearly carried over as if the sauce wasnt obvious enough) and for that not only am I disappointed but also offended. Never coming back.

Wonderful friendly service, family feel, immediately welcomed!! Had: cauliflower pakora, chicken curry, and butter chicken - with vegetable biryani (rice) and side of naan. Food was served fast and always with a smile! Butter chicken had a pleasantly sweet flavour - best I've ever had! Chicken curry was what I was expecting as "mild". Was so good we changed plans the following night to come here again - this time again with butter chicken and lamb curry. Equally delicious! Highly, highly recommended! Next time I'm in town I will be eating here again for sure!

I've been to Curry VIllage two times since discovering it earlier this week. It's hard for me to find Indian food I can eat because of my food allergies, but the amazing brothers who run this fantastic restaurant are very knowledgable and reassuring when it comes to avoiding and separating allergens. The brothers are very passionate and proud of their work, and they should be! The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, and their friendly service is top notch. I'm looking forward to being a regular here!

I love the fact that this is a family run, not corporate owned or operated, restaurant. Spice levels can be customized. Visited with 9yr old daughter and friends, (1 friend is a veg and had lots of selection) and will definitely return! We ordered Veg Samosas, Onion Bhaji to start, came with yummy dipping sauce that wasn't overpowering but complimented the starters very nicely. Main dishes arrived at the table piping hot and fresh, the flavours are incredible. Great variety Ordered Mango Lassi, Veg Biryani and Butter Chicken for my daughter. She was very happy with everything but filled up on the Lassi, it was no problem packing up left over food to bring home. My favourite was Beef Dhansak unbelievably great flavour. My friend loves spicy food and ordered the Vindaloo to be super spicy, it was, and he was very happy, best he's had! Will return with more people.

Worst Chicken Korma take out ever! This place used to be good. I ordered take out, and have done so many times and each time the food was swimming in oil. So gross. The manager needs to wake up! I literally had to take a paper towel and dab out the oil. I think they just cook it and store it, this gives it time for oil to rise, then they heat it up. The place has gone down hill. No care taken with their food. Will check back in 3 or 4 months one more time. If its still swimming in oil, i won't order again. They also make a terrible shrimp curry. There is practically zero shrimps and they are tinest shrimps you will ever see on the planet. Learn from saigon boys. Buy their shrimp curry its far better. Fix it manager.

Curry village is one of my favourite restaurants. There biryany, tandoor, korma, masala, vindaloo, are all delicious. I look forward to trying more dishes. The owner is a very nice man, he takes pride in his work as he rightly fully should. Even the simple things are done well, like a freshly made naan, or the sweet velvety lassi.

Got the Chana Masala from here. Already thought it was overpriced at 14$, but I thought I'd give a shot anyway. The serving size was absolutely not proportionate to what they charged us. The taste was definitely not how chana masala tastes like. We had to discard the entire meal after a couple of bites. This is not how authentic Indian cuisine tastes like. Would not buy again and would not recommend. Avoid at all costs.

I m international student from Fleming college. When I came first time I was very nervous but the staff was really friendly. I ask them do u have student combo and they served a student combo with 10 $ with delicious chicken curry soup & rice. I ask their time table and it will open 7 days in a week they told me they offer student combo every days . It is really affordable for everyone. I must visit again there and I suggest others to visit curry village at least ones . Whatever u want that they will make it for you.

I wanted so badly to love this. First had to pick up as their delivery driver was not available, not a problem. Staff is very friendly. When I got home my butter chicken was white and appeared curdled. My naan also appeared to look like a grocery store pita. I called and was told this is white butter chicken and that I need to ask for the orange one next time. And that was it. I was very unhappy with this and it seemed like the blame was put on me to order properly next time. I feel like the regular orange coloured butter chicken is the norm when ordering butter chicken and should maybe be specified better ? Overall this butter chicken is going to the garbage, which is 15$ wasted. Super disappointed.

Chicken Dhansak is great and beef vindaloo, they don't know a thing about wine though and they don't even stock the wines in the menu. Best to do take out here although every couple of months they have a buffet with live entertainment I want to try.

Absolutely amazing food, Atmosphere and people working here. I often come for the Mixed Vegetable Curry lunch special and ask for it vindaloo spicy - oh do you guys ever get the job done!!! This food heals the soul and taste so wonderful while being in a great atmosphere that makes you want to stay . The owners will help you choose food of the menu as to what goes together and will tell you if two dishes dont necessarily go together well. Thankful a place like this is in Peterborough Edit: Still amazing a year later during Covid-19 ! Woohoo

Absolutely love this restaurant. You can always count on an excellent meal here. This is my go to for Indian food. Been going here since I was a kid and continue to come back even though I know longer live in Peterborough. Love the bhaji, korma, biryani...and a lassi to die for!!!... Can't say enough.

Wasn’t satisfied with the food I received so owner called me and was very professional and said I could get some food on the house next time I called it in or came by. Samosas were great. Excited to try it out again soon

One of my favorite Indian Restaurants. The lunches are great value and the dishes are top quality with excellent flavour. Try the butter chicken, it is like no other! A Vindaloo that is amazing! We often have them cater our larger dinners. Great people!
