Perfect spot for a proper diner, as we travelled from Ottawa to Mississauga, and wanted to arrive after GTA traffic. Solid Covid protocols, friendly staff, very tasty trout, decent French onion soup…heck we even stayed long enough to enjoy a nice cheesecake. Will plan ahead to include a future break here. My usual beef, not the staff, the fellow diners - guys, take your hat off indoors!

Cozy and relaxing atmosphere, with exceptional service. A Great deal can be had with the offered 4 course dinner option with numerous choices. Malibu Sunrise and Creamsicle cocktails are great choices for drinks to start. Starting course, the pizza-esque Bruschetta cheese bread. Then on to the Berc's in house soup of the day, a delicious 'Cheddar Ale' (Cheddar with Mill St. Ale). On to the main course, a 12oz cooked to a perfection medium rare ribeye, with juicy mushrooms cooked right in with it. Paired with the tasty garlic mash potatoes. Finishing off with a slice of cheesecake. *Bonus if it's your birthday. You score a free slice of chocolate cake!

Lovely atmosphere, excellent hostess and server. Food was very tasty and my meat was very tender and juicy. I would suggest that they hold back on the seasoning on the meat. It was very salty.

I'm sorry to say but coming from a fine dinning business background in Niagara....I bought a $100 gift card for my in-laws for their 50th anniversary and my mother in laws steak was disgusting....point blank! She couldn't eat more then one bite! I personally haven't eaten there nor do I want to now. Your prices are higher then other fine dinning restaurants in the area but the quality is sub standard!

We went to Berc's to celebrate our 25th anniversary with our daughter, who had just attended her first day of high school. We hadn't been there in several years and couldn't have been more pleased with our visit. The food and service were both amazing. The escargot was perfectly done. Our salads were huge. Our meals included the sirloin, chicken alfredo and the seafood pasta. All were very large portions as well and very good. The wine was reasonably priced. All of the staff were super nice and friendly, but special thanks to our server, Heather, for being so genuinely kind and helpful and making everything about our visit perfect! We will be back.

I find that Berc's is always reliable. The food is really good and nicely presented. Our server was attentive and very personable. We were in one of the smaller spaces so it was quiet. We were not rushed and could sit and chat as long as we wanted to. It was just a really nice evening. Very pleased with the meal and the service when our group of 24 went with a reservation. They had previously fine tuned a menu for our group which overall everyone enjoyed. Lots of food!

The ambiance was beautiful, the service was fantastic and friendly, their diligence around covid precautions was exactly what you wanted to see and their prices were right around what you would expect at this kind of steak house. I will say that the food was good, but not great. I visited another steakhouse in town a couple weeks before, and in my opinion there was no comparison as to quality of food, and I would say that the other establishment might have been slightly more affordable. My experience at Berc's was excellent, and I love supporting local. This was a great place to dine and should be on people's list of places to try. They are doing many things right, they just have a few places they could improve with regards to the food itself. Some improvements I might suggest would be thicker steaks rather than longer, which may help improve the consistency of how well each steak is cooked. 3/5 of my party say that their respective steaks were rare when requested medium rare or medium rare when requested rare, etc. A thicker cut may help the kitchen team accurately hit those targets more consistently. My second suggestion would be that the mashed and the twice baked potatoes could have benefitted from a little more dairy, and the twice baked I am told was a little lacking in expected flavour. I must say that whoever handled the vegetables for my party's visit was doing everything right. Everyone in the party had praise for those. The broccoli cheddar soup was also very well received.

My wife and I randomly stumbled onto this place in a google search. Truly the best meal we’ve ever had. Steak perfect, white chocolate creme brulee perfect, sole fish perfect, calamari perfect, chicken rice soup perfect, loaf of hot bread perfect! We live almost 2 hours away and now will travel just to come back here 5 star service too! Thank you, we really enjoyed this!

I highly recommend Berc's. We went to dinner with my daughter and son in law and each of our meals were cooked to perfection. The staff is welcoming and friendly and our server was exceptional. Delicious food, friendly staff, wonderful company all made for a wonderful night. We will definitely be returning

Can’t believe how incredible the food, atmosphere and service was. Manager Steph was accommodating, helpful and even made us a special drink that wasn’t on the menu. Our server Karin was attentive and thoughtful. The food was hot, fresh, and perfectly plated. Owner Cathy stopped by our table to say hi. Can’t wait to come back. Kudos to the staff and chef!

So disappointed! I will start with a compliment first- the waitress was very professional and very sympathetic to the freezer burnt fishy trout taste. She quickly took the meal and brought me back a menu. I ordered the mussels which were exactly the same- freezer burned with chili sauce. I quickly realized both of those items were the specials. I believe they had covered both dishes in sauces in an attempt to cover up the freezer burned taste while trying to rid of their old freezer burned food? The shrimp cocktail sauce was so spicy he burned his mouth and finished the shrimp without the dip. The shrimp was good. The trout special came with soup; originally I had opted to upgrade the house special soup to french onion for an additional charge of $3.00; Because I sent the trout back I was then charged $9.00 for the soup that was an upgrade to the meal I had originally ordered. My husbands steak ($50) was equal to the old Ponderosa steak but with gristle and fat edges. The double baked potatoe was baked, it seems more than twice. It was cakey. The asparagus burned and dried. The carrots were delicious. Let us talk about seating. We were seated in a corner booth with a chair at end. My husband was instructed to sit in the chair, sat to the right of me leaving him directly staring at the people at the table across. It was not private for them or us. PS I am 100 percent deaf in my right ear and he was told to sit in the chair on my right side to ensure social distancing. The waitress said we could move but there was no alternative non reserved tables. Normally at fine dining restaurants we are led to a table and able to identify the best position so we can sit comfortably - but not with this situation. So normally we tip 25 percent, and this waitress deserved it but due to the high-cost of french onion soup we left her a discounted tip. Oh and eating at a different time than my husband made for a real crap night. So crazy disappointed as it has been 1 covid years since we have visited Bercs- we always head for Bercs - when we come home but going forward after this experience we are going to the Keg… $125 for a meal that was so terrible. Amazing! Hubby took me here for our 4 year wedding anniversary! I couldn't be more thrilled with how amazing everything as. From being greeted at the until the time we left everything was just phenomenal!! The steaks were so juciy and tender. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I could go on and on. Food was excellent, servers fantastic, and setting was elegant. Be prepared to open your wallets, but for a special occasion this was well worth the expense. We will return. Prefect spot for wedding anniversary, or fancy date night. Well done Brec's I'd give you more stars if they were available.

I'm so happy they are now able to open at least a patio. Covid-19 really hit the restaurant industry hard. Berc's has a nice outside patio and service is fantastic. I really enjoyed my meal. Had a nice bottle of wine and they corked it for me to bring the rest home. It's nice to be out again and receive exceptional customer service.

Wonderful experience on July 21st. First time here and the food was fantastic and the staff was exceptional. We had a group of 6 with 2 kids. Tina our waitress was wonderful with our 4 year old. Kept him very busy while we enjoyed our dinner. Thank you Tina (aka “the manager”). We will be back! And congratulations to the lovely couple beside us that were enjoying they’re wedding reception dinner!

We went for dinner and had the Baby back ribs and they were greasy and still had the membrane on the back of the ribs, which when cooked is very tough and unpleasant. If you are paying that kind of money for ribs they better be done right. Would never go back to this restaurant. Service was friendly but slow. I personally didn't care for their decor either.

Berc's has always been a local favorite with great food and atmosphere. Today was takeout- first time ordering takeout from here and was as good as dine in during these crazy times. Nice to see all the precautions taking place to keep everyone safe. ????

This was my first time out at Berc's, and a good time was had by all of us in our dining party (of 4). First, upon entering we all got asked for ID and proof of vaccinations! The staff did a great job of checking this quickly and we were seated immediately! Now from a decor perspective, I'll be honest and admit that this place lives up to the look and feel of an old school Steakhouse. And that look and feel is definitely dated. However, everything was clean and in good order, so those planning to visit, enjoy the trip back in time!! And judging by some of the patrons, they too have been coming out since the decor of Berc's has been first established!! ???? But we soon(-ish) found out why Berc's attracts such an eclectic crowd! The food is definitely on point!! Our table chose to order from the 4-course menu, and the meal did not disappoint! From starters to dessert, it was all delish! The only other point to note is that the service was slow... while our waitress did a great job of making sure we were attended to, there did seem to be a backup in the kitchen! In these times of Covid, this could be due to a variety of reasons... so hopefully (if you're reading this) you've chosen a great table of people to enjoy sharing 3 hours with! Overall, a solid choice for enjoying a great dinner on a night out on the town in Ptbo!
