My wife and I shared a plate of nachos with chicken that was delicious and cheesy. Our friends shared a pizza that looked great and according to them was also delicious. Friendly service and reasonable prices topped off a great lunch experience.

Great fish & chips but: the staff seemed a little preoccupied, and my wife found a hair in her tartar sauce. Nothing spoils your appetite then finding someone else's hair in your food.

Not sure how great the food is. The only time I see it is once or twice a week on the ground in the alley of the building I own. Still, I know the aftermath matches what they advertised as the daily special so it must be selling OK.

Looked very good in both atmosphere and menu. The service was great, but the food tasted and looked pretty bad. It was edible but that's about as exciting a word I can use. Would not go back or recommend. The next night we went to O'Reily's and oh what a huge difference!

There is one step to negotiate, upon entering this pub and restaurant. Once in.. the food is local and it's a decent price, for decent portions.. taste is inviting on their specialties. It's licensed. If you find yourself looking for a place to rest your bones and grab a meal.. especially during some of the great festivals in Perth and the area, this place won't disappoint!

Nice selection of brews on tap, as well as my favourite; Foundry Cider. Nightly specials, the best pizza in town, pasta dishes and a great selection of pub style nosh (steak and kidney pie etc.). Something for everyone, all with a traditional pub atmosphere. Check it out!

One of the very few restaurants open on a Monday in Perth. Our first indication to maybe not eat here should have been the fact that it was empty in comparison to the Red Fox across the street. The pop was flat and the food wasn’t anything special. Perhaps the most uncomfortable part of the whole experience was the fact that our server wasn’t wearing a mask and didn’t make any effort to keep any sort of distance. Wouldn’t be surprised if the cook wasn’t required to be wearing a mask either.

Serve was great, place seemed like a fun friendly local. Food was not really great. I would rate it lower because of the food but it really is the kind of place I would happily go back to. Someone said the fish and chips are good, try those maybe instead of the nachos. Oh yeah, and the beer is good!

Pizza was good. (Best in Perth so far!) but the dipping sauce selection is awful and the place is fairly sketchy (It IS a bar after all!!) looking but a great place to get your pizza! Pro Tip: Get the dipping sauce from the shawarma place around the block!

We where here on the weekend and brought my brother and his wife. I believe all four of us had a good experience... We decided to come back and have the fish and chips. We were both very disappointed. The fries weren't cooked thru and the ???? was greasy... Yes, we both ate it cause we were hungry... (we left the fries) But we did notice the waitress didn't ask us how it was. We won't be back for their fish and chips... Even though that's what they do "best". Two for one fish and chips with two beer was 32.05. We may not be back. I gave one ???? cause the beer was cold.

My family and I stayed in Perth for approximately one month, we had eatin at all the fast food and casual dining restaurants in the area. We were looking for something different, something that we don't eat a lot of. I really enjoy fish and chips the local suggested the Golden Arrow as being the best in the area, they were wrong. The fish was lightly battered but extremely greasy, the french fries were under-cooked and extremely greasy. This was the worst fish and chips that I'd had in a very long time and that is one meal that I eat whenever it is offered on a menu, my suggestion would be to steer clear of the fish and chips.

The place looked and smelled dirty; as though it hadn't been cleaned in months. The food was the worst we've ever had....dry chicken wings, greasy fish, soggy fries. We weren't out for a gourmet meal; just a cold beer and something tasty. Yuk! Never going back. Try the Red Fox across the road for a night and day experience....it was booked solid.

Very accommodating, great food and reasonably fast service. There were a few flies that disrupted our dinner at times, however I understand that this time of year especially it is difficult to control them entirely.

Went for a drink on a Friday night. Pub had about 10 patrons at 8 pm. There was live music that was mediocre. When the entertainment took a break around 10 pm, the waitress got out from behind the bar and blasted country music, then jumped up on the bar and performed a "Coyote Ugly" -esque dance. She may have been making an obnoxious attempt at amusing the remaining 4 patrons (excluding our party of 3). Definitely won't ever return. Certainly a far cry from "The Crown and Thistle". What a shame. Only reason we stayed for a couple hours was the food and service were decent until the waitress' groupies showed up.

Food was just ok, regular pub fare. The deep fried pickles had a heavy breading on them that looked like the same batter used for the fish and chips. First time I've ever been asked if it was ok to use the same glass for the second draft I ordered, usually you get a fresh one. Beware of the white vinegar bottles, an elderly gentleman at the next table took the cap off his and took a drink straight from the bottle. First of all oooooh gross and secondly .....backwash!

A nice pub in decor and good location. The two other pubs nearby were full and this one was empty, which made us pause. Server was unfriendly at first, warmed up a bit as time went on. My husband and I shared the munchie plate and it was ok. Friends had poutine and said it was ok. We saw the special board on the way out and server had not mentioned them when we were ordering. All in all ..... It was ok since we couldn't get in the other two pubs.

Bartender didn’t even acknowledge our existence and the bar is dead quiet. When we walked up a bit to seat ourselves she was very uninviting. The atmosphere in here is dark and just not good at all, very downer vibes! We were going to eat but it didn’t seem like that was welcome and so we ordered our drinks and we are getting out of here. Based on this experience would not recommend

My friend and I were supposed to be visiting Ireland but our trip was cancelled, we took a (covid safe) day trip into Perth and stumbled upon this little gem. We sat on the patio to have a Guiness and some fries, we ended up having a really nice chat with the man behind the bar. After hearing we were supposed to be Ireland, he handed us two Guiness Pint glasses to take with us!! Great little spot for a quiet beer and amazing service!! Will definitely return :) Thank you!!

I'd rather give 2.5 star rating. Went for fish and chips. Fish was excellent. Chips were hard/dry probably old. I've worked in restaurant kitchens and chip stands. These were old, reheated fries with a few fresh ones tossed in which made the contrast all the more evident. My dining companion noticed the same. The waitress never came back to check and it wasn't busy. Very disappointing experience. The fresh fries were good but there were only a few. If you go for fish and chips, make sure you ask if they will make the fries fresh. Too bad in a small town. I won't be back.

Looks 2 stars - needs a make over Service 3 stars Beer 3 stars. Fries 2 stars - Very middle of the road. Coleslaw 1 star - KFC like Fish 2 stars. The fish was no where near fresh. Battered and cooked well, but probably months old in a freezer. Since it was frozen so long the fish was tasteless.
