Offers good selection of gluten free menus items for celiac sufferers. Overall menus offers good quality family fair at reasonable prices in a comfortable decore. Just one beef. They run out of desert selections quite frequently.

Visited here after seeing a community theatre show, arriving 45 minutes early for a reservation and the staff was very accommodating, pleasant and cheerful. Food was excellent and priced accordingly. I will be back next time in Perth!

Great atmosphere and service! I did, however, find the food to be a little sub-par. I had a beef dip (I think it had a different name on the menu) as well as a Strawberry Bomb for dessert. I can say that it was good but the beef dip meat was a little chewy and the sandwich was extremely messy. I could barely get the sandwich into the dip. I had pickle fries as my side which were very creative and tasty but quite greasy! The dessert was lack luster. Looking around at my table mates, I did not see anything that piqued my interest. Would probably still return, as the service was excellent.

Hit this place tonight. Chose the -25% specials. I had beef, cheese, tomato, lettuce toasted sandwich with fries. Had mayo on it and was actually quite tasty. Fries seemed fresh cut. It was all really good. My buddy had the 2 piece haddock and fries. A LOT OF FISH. it looked outstanding and he said it was. Both came with a ramekin of cole slaw. Dinners plus two beers and tip: 50 bucks. Not bad at all! Ate outside. Nice. Went again a month or so later. Had the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich. Wasn't too bad. Bread was grill toasted - nice. Fries still pretty good. Had a Last Duel draught beer. Beer was quite good. Ya, this is a nice place to eat - especially outside on the patio.

Our server brought our app out late and they compensated us for the app, really fantastic customer service; nobody at our table even made a fuss, they just offered. I had a Canadian burger which was decent. Restaurant was appropriately spaced and cleaned for pandemic management.

Food was good. Service by Dawn was not welcoming whatsoever. Was informed at the door that she was the only one working and she seemed overwhelmed and rushed. We were willing to wait and comply with covid protocols. When given menus, we asked for a kids menu as we had a 12 year old accompanying us. She rudely responded that the kids menu was just for children.. of course we knew that and had a child with us. When seating, we were sat with all the other guests on one side of the restaurant, back to back. I asked if we could be sat at one of the nicer tables under the umbrellas. She told me that she was the only one working and couldn’t accommodate this? We were extremely confused as the table was about 3 feet from where we were already sitting. I overheard her tell another table that another server had arrived and at that point, I asked again to move. She rudely said “you’ll get a new server and she won’t be able to help you for like 20 mins” .. all we wanted was a nice table in the sun for our patio lunch. We moved ourselves and all of our utensils as she did not offer to assist. Thankfully, our new server was accommodating and this review is no reflection of her. Unfortunately, a decent lunch on a nice patio ruined by unbelievably rude service and a hostess that seemed to not care about accommodating her customer requests. Update: in response to the owner, I’d like to acknowledge that 10 minutes of incredibly poor service can ruin any experience. We would not have asked for a children’s menu if we did not have a child present.. I don’t know who would which is why the rude response was unnecessary. I made a joke saying she looked 16 to ease the tension and you failed to laugh or display any kind of emotion. I understand keeping guests organized when you’re the only one working as I have restaurant experience myself, but the table was arms length from where we were sitting, just in the sun. Your attitude was unfortunately the topic of discussion throughout our lunch and even with decent food (nothing to rave about), we left with a bad taste in our mouths.

Love this place, it's a far drive for us but we go a few times a year. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and fun. The atmosphere is cozy and they have strict covid policies in place during this time. You guys offer excellent value for the dollar.

Very good cooks, excellent beyond burger, fish tacos, fries, salad,& dessert. I didn't try anything I didn't like except the free super salty, stale & burned chip before you get your food. Please don't offer that, I gave you four star mainly because of that. I also tried the haddock and rice, it was really good but the portion of the rice could have been improved. Convinent location, modern design and excellent choice of music.

Went on a Monday night to celebrate a birthday. Probably the best appetizers (Spinach & Artichoke Dip, potato chip nacho app) and one of the best Chicken Parm‘s we‘ve ever had. Also requested for a Perth Brewery craft beer to be brought out on our arrival, and they did it! Service was excellent and you could tell the employees care about their guests. 5/5 stars without a doubt.

We were part of a group that Michael's Table accommodated with short notice. They offered us a special menu with a choice of Fish & Chips or Hamburger with Fries. We chose the burger. It was close to an hour from the time we entered the restaurant until the time we were served. The fries were no more than ho hum and the burgers were tough and overcooked. My husband who wears dentures was unable to eat very much of his and I only ate half of mine and very few fries as they were just not appetizing. The best part of the meal was the cole slaw served in those tiny waxed paper cups. We don't eat out very often and this was a disappointing experience and my husband declared we wouldn't go there again. To be honest Wendy's serves a better burger & fries.

I drove 2.5 hours from Peterborough to take my mom out for lunch for her 82nd birthday with my sisters.. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli. It said it came with garlic bread. When it arrived, the bread was immersed in the sauce on the plate making it soggy. I asked for another piece of bread as i don't like soggy bread. They refused and said that's how people eat it at the restaurant. I insisted that I don't eat bread that way.and they said there would be an extra charge for the bread to be replaced. I told them that was unacceptable and told them to cancel my order and take the food back. After fifteen minutes the manager returned after speaking again with the owner and offered to give me another piece of bread . For a $.20 piece of bread they made our birthday lunch argumentative with their "policy" of not catering to a customer's request. There are many restaurants in Perth so i won't be returning to this one. Update: The response that was posted from the owner was incorrect. The bread did not "come into contact" with the sauce after it was served. The bread was immersed in the sauce when it was put in front of me. I never said I would give a one star review nor did I bully. I simply refused the meal after they refused to replace the garlic bread. The owner's way of deflection is to put a spin on the simple request to have non soggy bread with my meal. Any other restaurant would have corrected the problem immediately without arguing with me to get what i was paying for. The bill for the four of us was over $125. so it's not like we were just there to have a cheap burger lunch meal. A better response would have been to say "I'm sorry you had that experience with us and we will endeavour to ask our patrons if they'd prefer to have the garlic bread on a separate plate or included with the sauce. We are happy you accepted a replacement bread at our expense."

Nice, clean, upscale looking place with a charming atmosphere and friendly server but underwhelming experience overall. Special for Friday is burgers, fairly standard offering but not if they are sold out... how do you sell out of your special at 7pm... especially when it's burgers. A number of other items were sold out too. Food portions were small and overpriced ($20 for a Cobb salad that came on a teaplate). Quality of food wasn't terrible (but the lettuce in the Cobb salad was diced way too small, grated bagged cheddar cheese, no avocado (a Cobb staple) and I had to ask for grilled chicken instead of crispy and ended up (after much discussion) with a cold piece of over season chicken breast that tasted like it came from a bag, soup was tasty but didn't have the consistency of soup (needed blending further) and guacamole had way too much lemon, seasonal vegetables consisted of a small portion of frozen peas and carrots... in mid-Summer, in Ontario... really?). Service itself was slow even though there seemed to be plenty of staff and the place wasn't packed. Sat with an empty glass for half an hour before I was able to catch our server's attention. Wouldn't bother with this place if I was ever in town again.

I have dinner here for Thanksgiving and it's amazing. They have special menu for Thanksgiving and it taste delicious with turkey, gavi, canberry sauce, vegetable and smash potato. Very warm and nice decor. Staffs are friendly and quick. It was very busy on that night, so you can tell how good it is. Highly recommend this place.

The town of Perth is a lovely place to visit. The restaurant was understaffed that day but they handled everything perfectly. They followed covid rules and made sure everything was clean and tables set far apart. The fish and chips were delicious! The slaw was so so good. The waitstaff were amazing. We definitely will be going back again.

My friend and I took my young sister out for a nice lunch, and while the food was decent, the service that we received from Dawn was incredibly rude. When we first arrived at the restaurant, we asked for a kids menu after noticing that she picked up 3 regular menus. After hesitating to grab a kids menu, her response to this request was “okay but you know these are only for kids right?” We were extremely confused, as we had a 12 year old with us. We obviously knew that the kids menus were only for kids. We only asked for one. I honestly wish we would have left as soon as we received this level of attitude because it only got worse from there. While being seated, we asked to be seated at another table because everyone on the patio was seated together along the same wall. This seemed very odd especially since it was not following covid protocols and there were many open tables. We were told that we could not sit at another table because Dawn was the only server and she needed to wait until the other server arrived…this did not make sense to us but we stayed at the table anyways. While sitting at our table, we were told by the man sitting behind us that we were being too loud. Again, we should have left. Minutes later, we overheard Dawn tell another table that the second server had arrived. We again asked to be moved to another table and her response was “that means you will get another server too though??” At this point that was absolutely preferred and we told her that was okay and we would like to be seated elsewhere. She did not help us move our menus, drinks or cutlery to the new table, nor did she even offer. Once we met our new server, they were extremely kind and accommodating and none of this review is directed at her whatsoever. We will not be returning and hope that other customers receive better service and have a better experience than we did. To our server, please do better in the future. The experience was uncomfortable and unpleasant.

My negative experience with management’s customer service is very simular to others that have been recorded. Its not surprising that my negative review posted Wednesday May 30, 2018, regarding stinchiness of serving size, including only 1/2 asparagus spear and managements refusal to give me the other half, has been removed. I also would agree with other’s reviews that that the food quality and amounts are inconsistent even at the same table. I Definately will not recommend this restaurant and reiterate managements very poor treatment of customers.

It is a nice spot and friendly staff. It was an hour before closing and told we couldn't be seated at a table of 6 as there was only two of us....get it but given less than a hr until closing the chances of 2 tables of 6s walking in....we would have been ok. Pickle fries were tad greasy, Cesar salad had way too much dressing and lobster mac and cheese was a bit bland and the lobster tasted freezer burnt. Dessert was delicious tho!

Food was perfectly cooked -- my only complaint was that it seemed a tad underseasoned and the shrimp scampi was very heavy on the lemon. But they made up for it by treating my wife to a slice of chocolate cake for her birthday, complete with a candle! Would recommend this restaurant to others (but skip the Thai Buddha Bowl). An excellent family restaurant!

Was in town for the day and we needed a family restaurant for the family. Michael’s table was suggested by a local shop keeper. We were greeted by a friendly staff member. Lots of tables and the decor was festive. Now to the food !!! I had the mushroom and Brie chicken burger that was massive and delicious from first bite to the last. My wife had the steak sandwich she enjoyed that as it was bursting with flavour. Kids had chicken fingers and grill cheese that came with a drink and dessert. Overall very satisfied and would recommend to stop in when in Perth. Our server Tia was great and a pleasure to have her serve us.

Turned away at the door, we were told this was because the back room and patio were closed and they only had 2 servers. Ample room for our group of 8 to sit inside the main room, only one other group seated and we were told they were waiting on another similarly sized group. We offered to wait and be understanding of slower service, but were denied. Having worked in the industry for the past decade, I would have expected better customer service. I incorrectly assumed there might be more staff when the fair is on right around the corner. Can't comment on the food as we were sent away.

Overall...I have mixed experiences with this place. Sometimes the food is great, service is timely and atmosphere is really nice. But then there are times like today, where we didn't get served our main course until after being there for an hour and a half; the restaurant had emptied and people who arrived after us were already paying. Pretty poor service and the food was mixed temperatures. I had bones in my fish and I was served a fried onion skin. My rice was cold, vegetables over charred and soggy and I was given a piece of corn cob cut into a triangle. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience there, but often they are on par. One plus is they have many gluten free options and a great beverage selection...if you get them on time.

After touring Perth we were seated outside on the patio at Micheal's Table for an early dinner. Beautiful day to start and the food and the service were excellent. The cattle club sandwich and the breaded haddock dinner are great choices and you won't be disappointed.

At the restaurant now. My 5 year old son finished his chicken finger meal, and we asked to order 2 additional chicken fingers as he was still hungry. The Manager said this was not an option / we had to order another entire meal (with unwanted French fries). This is an “open food” option that has existed in restaurants for 30 years (I used to be a server). A small business needs to be more flexible / especially when a 5 years old child is still hungry. Do better.

Oh my goodness, that’s all I can say. We were in town for a weekend and googled GF places in the area and Michael’s Table came to the top of our list. Our server was quick, polite and lighthearted- very kind and attentive to my Celiac requests. My partner and I went for a date night dinner - we had the Shrimpcargot, Beef & Mushroom Melt (oh my gosh so dang good), Hot Beef Yorkie & Chocolate Almond Torte. We travel a fair bit and honestly could be hard pressed to find better food in Toronto. I couldn’t praise them enough, when we were done we expressed our gratitude to our server telling her of our experience so far in Perth and some of the other places we attended - to our surprise the owners of Michaels Table & Penny’s Place are family. Totally makes sense, they have amazing food, kind atmospheres and the people make for an awesome experience. Thank you for a wonderful evening and we will be back again soon.

Always loved this place. It s shame about the Vaccine Mandate. As a result, I won t be able to visit again until all this blows over- if it ever does. I give this restaurant 5 stars for what it was and hopes to be again. I hope they remain to do well financially, and if not, they only have this failed Government to blame. Don t ever forget it was also the unvaccinated who supported your restaurant for the past 18 months (they can still order takeout, but it s not the same). If you can tolerate 45 minute wait after ordering and little to no attention then great, the food is tasty. Weekend visitors, ordered sandwichs n salads at 1ish. Waited 45 minutes for our food and no one came by for refills until we got the food. Others seemed just as dismayed. On bright side the salads were fresh n tasty. Sandwiches yummy. 4 stars on food, 1 star on experience.

I went there with a friend for dinner on a Friday night. Really we were going to go to O'Reillys but there was a 20 minute wait so we decided to try Micheal's instead. We walk in and there are only 2 tables with people at it. We sat down and told the waitress we were in a rush because we were going to see a play. She was very understanding about it and friendly. My friend and I ordered the same thing - Fall Turkey Panini. The thing is, we received two totally different meals!! When I got my panini, it was a nice bun, good turkey and delish. However my friend had a panini that was mushy on the bottom (from what we have no idea - there is no sauce on the sandwich!) the bun literally fell apart when she took her first bite and her turkey was dried up grissle. So of course she never ate it. The server did ask is she wanted something else, but by then we had 20 minutes before we had to leave and my friend said she doesnt have time. She did offer a dessert but my friend is not a dessert person especially if she hasnt eaten anything else so she said no. Then the bills came. Amazingly they charged her FULL PRICE for a meal that she took 1 bite of. When she addressed it with the manager/owner her response was that because I liked my food and i got the same thing they are charging her. We told her that we even SHOWED the server how the quality of the food was totally different, and the sandwich was mushy and falling apart. She still argued that she offered something else and we said no. Again we stated that we were in a hurry. She finally offered %50 off. Now I am someone that believes the customer is NOT always right. However when you have a customer eat ZERO of the food and show your server why then how can you actually charge that person?!?!?!?!? And then to argue with them about it. Very very VERY poor service from the owner. I will never go back, my friend will never go back. There are way too many great restaurants in Perth to receive an attitude like that! I now know why one restaurant was packed while Micheal's Table was empty. I would rather go anywhere else but back to Micheal's Table.

We were a group of seven people who went to supper on Feb. 14th 2016. The service was great and the food was wonderful! Three people had the shrimp and spinach crepe. One had the salmon and enjoyed it. I had the Tuscan Chicken with a Caesar salad and it was delicious! The Chicken Supreme going to another table looked really good too!

Went to Michael's Table for lunch. The staff was very friendly and the food was incredible. One of the best burgers I have ever had, the patty was cooked perfectly and made of really tasty angus beef. The soup was also very good and the coleslaw was unique and delicious. We will definitely be back, that burger is worth the drive!

Great service! Our server Tia was extremely kind and had great knowledge of the menu. She answered our questions easily and was very attentive to us. We left Mex and Co because their food was absolute garbage despite the reviews and came here because we saw it on our way into the town. I have absolutely no regrets leaving there and coming here, I would recommend it any day. The food was absolutely delicious, we even ordered dessert afterwards and it was the perfect end to a great late lunch. The portion sizes were a good size for the very reasonable prices. The place was also kept very clean so I’m very pleased with the experience

We love Perth, and Michael's Table is our favourite Perth restaurant. We eat there at least once per trip, always order something different, and everything is consistently delicious! Hard to pick a favourite menu item and you cannot go wrong. Michael's Table is the epitome of "simple food done well." This time around we ordered the toasted avocado sandwich with a house salad, and the hot beef Yorkie with rice. Everything was very fresh, tasty and oh so satisfying :D Excited to continue to work our way through the menu! We ordered our meal as takeout this time, and the service was efficient, the COVID protocols are solid and we felt very safe and comfortable with everything. Can't wait to visit again! Thank you for staying open and being such lovely people, making such lovely food!

As a guy who is a self-proclaimed huge foodie, I can safely say that this is the best restaurant I've been to in a while. The food tasted amazing, and the service was great. The spinach dip was incredibly tasteful and cheesy - easily the best spinach dip I've ever had. My entree, the "Michael's Chicken," was cooked perfectly, and the glaze on the chicken was to die for. My wife had the lobster roll, which tasted fresh and elevated. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for delicious food done right. We can't wait to come back and try everything on the menu!

We went on a Sunday for lunch, I had the meatloaf with french fries.The meal was served hot, with a good portion of fries, and some carrots and parsnips. The meatloaf is in need of some spices, because it tasted just like a hamburger, but still good. My husband had the ribs and fries , also served hot, as it should be, the meat was still sticking to the bone, but well done. Overall a good meal, polite server, clean family restaurant.
