If you like to look at horse statues this place might be for you! While checking out Ben right across the street it was decided it was time for chow! The staff were great the food too was excellent but all in all not worth the price paid.

Christine Good

Chicken club was great. The steak quesadilla was OK yummy fries and the best waitress. She was funny and personable. The washrooms were in the cutest hidden mall set up.

Ghost of Diogenes

We walked in from a snow storm and found the staff preparing to close. With great customer service, we had a nice meal in a welcoming atmosphere. We were very grateful for Fiddleheads and their excellent staff. Cheers.

Always enjoy the food and servers here... So friendly and understanding! I lipread and they take the effort to recognize that and accommodate me, which is much appreciated during this pandemic as the masks don't always make this an easy task.

Colby Burns

Great patio experience and our server was great. Crispy wings and tasty house salad. Bacon was a on the soft side for the Chicken BLT but flavors

Good place to grab food. The building itself is made of stone and must be a heritage building, so very stunning. Right outside the restaurant there is a beautiful atrium to sit and down and enjoy. As for Fiddleheads itself, the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and has a classy design with beautiful local paintings of Perth hanging around the restaurant for sale. The food is a casual style, and I picked out the burger and handmade fries which were both excellent. Had a salad with goat cheese to start which was also great. Service was the best of all with very quick, kind and courteous wait-staff. Doesn't seem to have it's own bathrooms though, so using the facilities is a bit of a walk. Overall great casual dining with a great atmosphere and amazing service.

Mike Stapleton

Food was great. Interesting building. Apparently it was an old Wool mill back in the day. Definite repeat.

Jen Crilly-Glover

Surroundings were great, renovated stone mill. Dining room not open till 5:00, (a Sunday night on a long weekend?!). Food was ok for pub style, though fries were cool, and poor. Service was poor, (not adequate staff for long weekend). Very disappointed.

I really like this place :) I have fond memories of it and absolutely love their in house made hollandaise sauce. This particular time was for a friend's wedding dinner. It was set up nicely and the food was fabulous as usual! What I really liked is that when one of our friends said she was allergic to something in the dessert, the waitress immediately offered to modify it so that she can still enjoy dessert with all of us.

Beautiful location across from the Big Ben Memorial Park in a well maintained heritage building with a ton of visual interest. The menu is small but well thought out and the food was flavourful and extremely well prepared. Was looking for something light and fresh that day but had to settle for something a little heavier than I wanted. Still very good.

The most beautiful little bar nachos was kinda meh but the service was on point :)

The "food" was terrible and over priced. None of us really enjoyed our food. This is what is considered bruschetta and poutine. The service was a bit slow as well. I dont plan on ever going back or suggesting it.

I have always loved Fiddleheads, it's located inside beautiful Codes Mill and in the summer, the patio offers a great view of gorgeous Stewart Park. Staff is always welcoming and friendly. Great selection of beers (including locals brews) and the food is always fresh and delicious.

We decided to have dinner due to good ratings. My partner really enjoyed the salmon and risotto he ordered. Although when I received my prime rib plate with mash potatoes, the food was cold. Had to bring in my plate back in myself as our …

Pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed this place, thought it would just be your typical pub food but turned out to be the opposite. We had the perogies and nachos; the server brought us more of the dusting for the perogies which really kicked it up a notch and the onion bacon jam on the side was incredible. Nachos were some of the best pub nachos we’ve had, they definitely didn’t short on the toppings. Server (Calista¿) was also rad.

Thalia Chand

Great spot to stop in. Menu was a little basic and can be updated with some more healthy farm to table options. Beer selection was awesome.

Brian Crawford

I really like to ambiance, love the rustic industrial building, I have always been impressed by the restoration and the patio is fantastic... but our last visit was “almost” spoiled by the length of time we had to wait to get our meal. The only reason I gave a good as review as I did was the food was good when it arrived (the server was attentive) and the patio was amazing on a lovely summer evening ....and we had no place to be. I hope that this was a one off bad night (I see a similar complaint in another review from the same evening). I hope that management read this and consider updating the menu, it hasn’t changed much in a while and isn’t very extensive. We will be back to agian but with other local choices it may be a while.

Brian McDonald

Chicken soup and was yummy. The pierogi were great with the bacon relish

I got a salad and it was the same size as my friends side salad beside her sandwich, but the same price as both her sandwich and salad. The menu said there were veggies but it was barely anything more than lettuce. I also paid extra for shrimp and got only 2 pieces. Lastly, the dressing was lacking, when asked if they forgot to put the dressing on the side, the waitress said it was already dressed. The salad was too much money for the size. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Wonderful patio, delicious food and excellent servers. Highly recommend visiting if your in Perth

Prices are reasonable, service was pretty quick and the food was enjoyable. Whovians are most welcome there.

Our first time inside a restaurant since the Covid 19 shutdown. Service was great, food was great and the staff was very helpful and courteous. I will be going back here for sure next time in Perth. Also a great building to see old architecture.

Food was excellent, staff were friendly. Lovely atrium area with a fountain, although there was a singing group on an upper floor with windows open to the space practising, which echoed a little painfully through the atrium. Accessible entry for chairs or walkers, use the entrance beside the chocolatier(left of the main door to the bar, which has one step, where staff immediately met us to make sure my dad could get his walker through)- curves around to the atrium and the restaurant. Washrooms across the atrium from the bar area. A/C in bar and dining room, atrium is a nice airy space. Dining room very nice, sadly closes early afternoon, but the bar area still serves an extensive menu, with quiet music and plenty of seating. Floor is flagstone- level and flat, but not smooth- pay attention to your footing. Really tasty basil mayo dip with my chicken club, excellent meal, many choices available for the beer connoisseur. I'll certainly be back.

Darlene Ransom

What a cute little place to discover. Local beer on tap was great too.

Pasi Posti

Not every meal is a home run, but this one stayed well within the park. Every plate came out cold. We ordered the Napoleon salad, and it was boring, lifeless and cold. I took a leap and ordered Kerrie’s wings as was recommended by an other review and the server didn’t even know what the sauce was like. As a failsafe we also ordered nachos which were under done, and came out cold as well. The Mixed drinks were also very under poured and served in Pizza Hut style tall cups. Photos: as the sun set even the patio went cold, the single lonely carrot that was served as a dry aged treat along with the mysterious wings which we suspect were stirred with crushed zesty Doritos. Hate to give a negative review, but if not for the view of the red bridge (photo) from our table we would have dashed to some place, any place warm.

Sean Lynes

Great selection of beer on tap and good menu options like the gourmet pizza I thoroughly enjoyed today!

Robin Thorne

Pretty solid food, good beer selection. And I really liked the layout of the place, it was a pleasant place to spend time in.

Kristen Wood

I ordered the salmon with risotto for takeout. Server was super nice! The risotto was very mushy (even for risotto) and had a strange, sour taste about it. I can't complain at all about the salmon, though. Big piece, juicy and perfectly cooked. My complaints were that the risotto was very lackluster (and it was most of the dish) and for that reason I think $22 is a tad overpriced. Also, when I walked in to order, the restaurant seemed messy. A couple empty tables with dirty dishes piled up on them and several chairs at other empty tables were askew. I only found that strange because they seemed well staffed and not too busy at the time I walked in.

Mike Patchett

Great chef at Fiddleheads. Never been disappointed.

Trevor Bradshaw

I must say, this place has excellent food and amazing staff. I will be back again.

Gerald Nelson

This was the first time we were here and it will most certainly be the last. This place was terrible! Cold, flavorless food, fatty quesadillas, barely dressed salad. On the plus side, the sangria was good and the service was friendly.

Wife wanted soup of the day . non to be had , it did'nt arrive yet ?? ,so she got spicey cheese soup which was served with fresh baked bread,it was ok , I got a burger that was over season salted to the point I could,nt eat it , but they gave me something else off the menu and a free beer to wash away the salt .So in the end they took good care off me , the manager was very concerned to keep us happy and explained the burger is ordered out of house , fair enough . I understand that covid has changed a lot of things , I always had good experiance here . and will go back as it is staffed well and has great charm . and they want you to come back . Thanks .

Came in for a pint of cider and quick lunch. Ontario cider on tap. Had the nachos and they were absolutely delicious. Fast, friendly service. Sat on the patio on a sunny day and enjoyed a beautiful view of the park. This may be my new favourite local spot.

Jim Adams

This was our first visit and it was mixed. Great location and a wonderful server. We had a ceasar salad with chicken and nachos with beef. The croutons were mushy and the dressing tasted pre-fab. The chicken was bland. The nachos were great except the beef looked like they took a hambuger and chopped it up on top of the nachos.

Joey Nordenstrom

This past Saturday we had lunch at Fiddleheads. When we arrived we were seated at a very dirty table. I gently asked if our waitress could please wipe it down and she rudely answered that I should have “brought my own cleaning supplies from home if I wanted it that clean.” She continues to be rude throughout our meal and actually started yelling at an older couple who had politely asked how long their food would take to arrive. Yes, yelling. I was horrible.

Herve Cavanagh

Good food and good beer. Gluten free options available.

Joyce Chamas

Beautiful historical building with a breathtaking indoor court yard! I kept the menu simple ordered the nachos as a test for the food - it was sporadically prepared with clumps of cheese and chips with nothing on it - the extra $4.50 for the chicken wasn't worth it! However our server Mary was terrific and so was the bartender bang on. It seems in my opinion the menu is a hit and miss and I'd stay away from the nachos - it's just something they can't do rt. Oh and yes I'd definitely go bk. ????

Sterling Rideout

There are several good options but this is my favorite restaurant in Perth. My wife's Mac n" cheese was nothing special (it needs a little something), but my prime rib dinner was really good. Most restaurants in Perth seem to overcook meat but this was the exception.

John Lawlor

Awful food and awful service. We waited over 5 minutes to be seated, while several staff ran around in an almost empty restaurant. The selection of food is non-existent. We ordered sprite and coke, both of which we so watery we sent them back and asked for water. The ciabatta wrap was bland and the fries were unbelievably awful, cold and soft and a weird dark brownish green. My bf specifically asked for his chicken club sandwich to be without bacon as we don't eat pork for religious reasons. Well, halfway into his sandwich we discovered a rogue piece of bacon. We informed the waitress of this, also noting the disgusting fries. She didn't even apologize, just said 'Oh well, I asked the cook to make it with no bacon, he must be new, and our fries are made fresh so maybe the green color is from the oil.' No apology, and certainly no discount! What a sad excuse for a restaurant. I had heard good things about it in the past but there was no excuse for this!! Stay far away unless you want rude servers who don't care and tasteless, nasty food.

Esther Nerling

Ordered take out, staff were friendly and attentive. The grilled shrimp and scallops were done up tasty, however for 6 pieces of seafood, I felt it was overpriced. In fact when I opened my take out I only saw sweet potatoes. I could not eat the sweet potatoes because they were undercooked and with the skin on them, this was discouraging because 6 pieces of seafood, and 3 asparagus felt like an appetizer. I will give them a second chance, and hope for a better experience, which I have no doubt they can deliver.

Marieah El-Tahrawy

Food was not good, had a burger and I don’t know if it was the meat or the cheese but it was so salty and dry, almost inedible. My friend ordered quesadillas and said the meat was undercooked and smelled. They were out of one item we ordered prior and told us 15 minutes after we placed the order. They were out of guacamole as well but did not say anything, instead served food without it until we asked for it. A bee landed in my friends drink and when she asked for another , the waitress said “yeah, I guess” . When we finished eating the waitress brought over our bills and the machine to pay as soon as she picked up our plates before we asked for the bill or had a chance to finish our drinks so it felt like she wanted us out . The bills were wrong too so felt very rushed in the end.

Came here for a drink and apps. Great view and server was very friendly. We both got soups, beef and barley and cheddar jalapeño, which were pretty good …

Good wings, so so service and a beautiful bar.

Normally I have had a good experience at fiddleheads, but today, half the patio was empty. I asked to sit on the empty side of the patio and they told me I had to go inside to eat or sit on the packed side of the patio.

Candas P

Love the atmosphere at this bar and grill!! Food is always great with friendly service!! Definitely worth recommending!!!

David R

The food at Fiddleheads is excellent. Our server was, as usual, very pleasant and attentive. Sitting on the patio is always a very nice experience, enjoying our meal, looking over the park and the statue of Big Ben and Ian Millar. I highly recommend the food and drinks from the Perth brewery. Cheers ????

Ted Kuchnicki

Third time there and each time more disappointing. Built a 4 item pizza this time. It was a 12” thin crust with 2 meat and 2 veggie items. The crust was crunchy and overall the pizza taste was good. The veggies were adequate but the meat items, bacon and pepperoni, were not. The bacon was cut into small pieces and there was little of it, while the pepperoni seemed to have been forgotten. It was Friday night so the dining room was fuly booked at 5:00. The pub side had some seating but was quite noisy. Not recommended.

Brandon Ashby

Went to Fiddleheads for Sunday brunch. The Eggs Florentine was delicious. Really good service and a great view of Stanley Park sitting on the patio. A great little restaurant located in the historic Cobb's Mill. We will be returning!

C. R.

Lovely atmosphere, efficient service. Our appy of garlic shrimp was amazing! I ordered a special (pork belly) which was phenomenal - just wish it was served with veggies instead of potatoes. My husband ordered an emu special that really didn't showcase the emu - the dish would have probably better served without the emu. But cheers to the chefs for trying new things. Flavours of sauces were great.

steve vanveit

Gorgeous Heritage building with large patio. Great environment, service and food.

Scooter Lastman

The food was good but I wouldn't recommend it for a family. They were busy and they seemed to have forgotten our order. As a result it took an abnormal amount of time to get our food, leaving us with two very hungry and cranky kids. Likely good if you are on a date but I would go elsewhere if you are with kids.

Khushnaz K

In my opinion we had the best seat in the house.. the patio provides a stunning view of the park across the street. The service was friendly and thoughtful. I had the bbq chicken entree and it was delicious. The apps our table ordered were great too. I wish they'd given more of their homemade salsa with the nachoes. Limited yet good beer selection. I'd go again, absolutely!

Diesel M

Terribly disappointed. Have eaten here before and enjoyed it. Not sure what happened. Brought family of 5. Basic burgers, fries, wings and poutine ordered. All food was cold. Cheese wasn’t even melted. Even kids refused to eat. One child even said it tasted like leftovers. Chocolate milk was fake nestle quik. One star given for the friendly server and the view of the park. Sadly we will never return.

Sandy Mackinnon

Always great service, delicious food(the stew burger) and cold beer.

Dwayne Oneil

Just want to ask, how do you mess up chicken strips and fries? Omg Really over cooked and rock hard, can't eat them. It's chicken strips!!!! Come on really? Heading to another restaurant to eat. Thanks for taking my money.

Neil T

Heard good things about the wings and decided to give them a try. First negative (albeit minor): the menu found online is not the same as in-house. …

Rae Pedersen

Great food. Poor wine choices tho. Great atmosphere and views. Prices reasonable. Terrific fries!

Jim Reynolds

Limited menu. Burgers were salty, our appetizer came after our meal was served. We had to ask twice for water. Several pieces of extremely wilted lettuce in the salad. Lettuce on the burgers was wilted. Wait service seemed to be slow at all the tables.Lots of staff. Beer was good.

Mike Goebel

Some of the best beers and food in the area. On top of that the people and the building make it a must see in Perth.

Jason Baptista

Who would have thought that I could find a delicious, hand made pizza in the rural town of Perth. Well I did. Not only did I find great pizza, but they have a local brewery with a very refreshing Lager. 5 star service.

Martin Hiltz

Breakfast is always good! I get 2 scrambled eggs, bacon well done and tomatoes instead of home fries, brown toast. Always done right!!

Linda Hill

Excellent food and service at this cafe in the picturesque town of Perth, ON. The covered courtyard seating with live music creates a wonderful ambience in which to enjoy a leisurely meal after a bit of antique-shopping on a day out with friends, which is exactly what we did. The wait staff is friendly and will help you out with suggestions for ordering. Good selection of pasta, pizza, meat and seafood dishes. We loved seating arrangement which gives the impression of being in an outdoor European courtyard surrounded by Romeo-and-Juliet style balconies, but is actually indoors and heated. Pleasant instrumental music is enjoyable but unobtrusive, and allows one to carry on a conversation. Overall, a wonderful place to visit. The chocolate store next door is a bonus, and has the most delicious, thick, REAL hot chocolate with which to end your meal.

I ordered a blackened catfish dinner. Excellent! Very tender fish, beautifully served on a bed of interesting vegetables. Very tasty. I finished off with a delicious pecan pie. The place was a little noisy, but people often like this sort of atmosphere. In the adjoining room a young man with a guitar was making a good start on a brilliant career. Really friendly staff. Crowded on a Friday night.

Chris Hsueh

Went for a dinner out with my fiance, and did not receive any service. Sat for about 45 minutes, tried to make eye contact with a few members of staff to come and take our order. When we thought someone was coming to take our order, they …

Very slow service. Gave our table to another party although we had arrived first. This forced us to wait an extra 25 minutes for a table. My child can't eat gluten so we substituted the fries(which are cross-contaminated in the fryer) for rice. Rice wasn't available. Without asking us the chef added back the fries and brought the plate to our table. Chef should've known about the cross-contaminated issue. It then took another 20 minutes to cook a steak so thin that it couldn't have taken more than 3 minutes to cook. Other meals were bland and tasteless. diet Pepsi tasted like tonic water. Overall a very slow and unappealing meal.
