Cute and cozy little restaurant at the centre of Perth. Great service, friendly waitress. Ordered the anchovies pasta and Gamberi pasta. The sauce on both were delicious and flavourful. However, the pasta on the gamberi was over cooked and the anchovies were saltier than expected (as it was prefaced to us that since it’s Spanish anchovies, it wouldn’t be too salty). Good portions. Fair pricing for portion. The menu could be better organized as it wasn’t clear that the anchovy dish was a pasta dish. Overall, great experience.

Worth the drive from Ottawa for this quaint little gem! A friend and I have been here twice now and will venture back again, and again. And certainly recommend it to others. I am not sure where in Ottawa you can find such a charming place with excellent food and ambience. Appropriate Italian music playing in the background at a level that you can hear the other person talk. Whether you are sitting inside or in the outdoor area it is all pleasing. We love that the owners truly care about their clientele and are themselves hands on in the restaurant. This time around we shared the smoked duck pizza as a starter and I am craving it once again. as it was so delicious. Our main course pastas were delicious with plenty to take home. The wine we had was delicious and not one we could purchase at the LCBO. We had the lemon tart for dessert which was tasty and refreshing after our great feed. Yes, so glad to have such a wonderful find in our midst. Thank you to the owners for their hard work in making this the perfect little gem.

My husband surprised me for Valentine's dinner and it was amazing! The size of the meal was very generous, I couldn't eat it all. I'm always a little concerned when I can't finish a meal at a restaurant when the food is excellent. Everyone works so hard on special occasions, and I don't want anyone to have hurt feelings because I have a little stomach lol! Will absolutely return!

The best Italian cuisine in the valley, if not the province. Dave and his team of cooks create masterpeice's of food that leave customers amazed, the wait time is ALWAYS worth it. The service team is always professional and friendly, and the atmosphere of the building tops everything off, bringing a sense of old Italy to the table. All in all, a must if you are in the Perth region.

A near perfect Italian restaurant. We got here late on a Saturday evening and they had just the appetizers which was really good. Just the right about of portions per person and presentation was good. The restaurant itself is small and cozy. Would certainly visit here again when I drop by Perth

Incredible Italian cuisine! Portions are a very generous size and incredibly fresh as everything is made in house. We had the Caesar salad, mushroom fettuccine and spaghetti with white anchovies. We never wanted the meal to end. The flavours were incredible. Bread is served with the most amazing bread dip sauce we have ever had. A house secret! Service was attentive, friendly and had great recommendations. We will definitely be back!!! Thanks to Dave and his incredible team!

Went in on the recommendation of my boyfriend's parents and I was so pleased. The food was amazing, authentic flavours and good sized portions gave the sense that the chef isn't kidding around. Bistro 54 came highly recommended by locals and visitors alike and they were not wrong. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and chose here for dinner. COVID-19 protocols were in full measure, wait staff wearing masks, tables closed off to maintain distancing, etc. Our server was very friendly and attentive, helping us decide what to order. She even made our desserts complementary and added candles to help us celebrate! We had a table next to the kitchen and we could see through the window. The kitchen ran like a well oiled machine, staff looked cheerful and worked well in such a small space. The food was amazing. We started with the smoked duck pizza appetizer, which was a great starter size. I wish they would make this a full size, I could eat this all day. My wife had chicken parmesan and I had the salmon, both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. We finished with creme brule and a chocolate brownie for desserts. What an incredible time, we will consider eating here again for special occasions. The meal was just over $100 for the two of us so it is not inexpensive, but well worth it for special occasions.

Another perfect meal at Bistro 54. Perth is so lucky to have this restaurant as part of our lineup of diverse and amazing dining options. You immediately feel transported to Italy, whether you are seated in the cozy interior or the romantically lit alleyway patio. And the food never disappoints - last night we enjoyed a full course with a delicious appetizer of crostini, sundried tomatoes and cured salami with the freshest Burrata cheese this side of the Mediterranean! The main was a seafood and chicken risotto for her and a prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloin with a tangy caper sauce for me. We paired with a Ripasso that instantly reminded us of our trips to Veneto. We took our decadent desserts to go, comprised of a delicate cheesecake and chocolate brownie, both covered in red wine soaked cherries. Thanks to Nicole who made our anniversary dinner special with complimentary limoncello! Ensure to make a reservation, because this excellent restaurant is in high demand!

Food was good but we asked for some extra parmesan cheese for one of our dishes and were shocked to see that we were charged $2.75 for a sprinkle of cheese! Have eaten at hundreds of restaurants in many countries and this particular charge was a first! Nickel and diming the customer is not smart.

A hidden gem in Perth. Caesar salad was presented unlike any I have ever had and was delicious. Lobster risotto - simply divine. You can enjoy that with a glass of their house red and do not need to go any further. If you do, the creme brulee is a perfect ending note. With their coffee. You have to have that too. Bring at least 2-3 friends to have a bite of what they have too.

We came on a busy Saturday night so had to wait a bit to be seated. I can say it was absolutely worth the wait. Food was absolutely amazing. Service levels were slightly below average but the quality of the food was so good it makes you forget about that.

This place is a culinary gem. Great variety, gluten free pasta option, and the best spaghetti carbonara I have ever eaten—including in Italy!!! Can be crowded even week nights, but staff very accommodating. Reservations a good idea, but they’ll take care of you if you don’t have a chance to make one.

My wife and i have been to Bistro 54 a handful of times. It is always an impressive transformation from the streets of Perth to the heart of Italy. The warm atmosphere and amazingly authentic food will impress almost any critic. The menu is always changing depending on seasonal items which keeps a fresh options if you end up back for more. That said it has small limited seating and the food is prepared by hand from scratch after you order. If you are looking for an experience, this is the place. If you are out for a quick meal, try fast food.

Excellent service and food. The dish we had was incredible and the core ingredients were top notch. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting, this is a good choice for a date night or anniversary. Very strongly recommended. I went out of town for this one and i am looking forward to coming back. Top notch place to eat.

This Bistro is a real gem, not only in Perth but over Ontario. We came from Toronto where there are many Italian restaurants, but my husband and I were so impressed by the food at Bistro 54! He had the prosciutto/parmesan fettuccini and I had Bolognese. Both were excellent dishes and pasta was homemade, which made all the difference. Excellent service and owner was very friendly! Thanks for a great evening! Can’t wait to go back again next time we visit Perth!

I am from Perth and this is the place to go for a special occasion or when you and your friends just want to feel special. The food was delicious, the server was amazing and the owner was gracious.
