At this moment this firm receives a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is basically the best, and it's based on a large number of scores, so we can say that the valuation is very accurate. If people have bothered to rate when they are happy, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to write evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Italian restaurant.
Just an awesome spot. Its not the cheapest but for the level of service, authentic amazing food and atmosphere it doesn't have to be. Best Italian food I've had since I was in Italy.. worth the trip!!
Consistently excellent food, wine and service. A simple statement, but very few places can actually do it. The ambience at Villa Rosa is quiet and understated, which sets the tone for everything else: menu of tempting classics and creations, the star wines of the Okanagan unpretentiously gathered together, relaxed yet deceptively precise service. Before you know it, you've been there a couple of hours and you are VERY happy.
First time visit tonight, and oh my! I’m impressed. Friendly and very helpful staff. Our server Keiko was amazing, always checking if we needed anything. The bruschetta was divine! The mains were also super good. The lamb was tender, melting in the mouth; it was served with roasted potatoes which were also tasty. The VR sauce was also very good and it went well with the veggies. Super recommend it!
The chef is most definitely NOT italian. The pastas were overcooked. A true italian chef would prioritize al dente pasta as the utmost priority. Tomato sauce lacked in flavour, felt like canned tomato sauce. The escargot sauce was good however the escargot quality was very poor. They were small and had no texture to it. Perhaps it was overcooked. The alcoholic drinks were way to strong to be enjoyable. The server dropped the balsamic vinegar bottle and a plate which cut one of our friend's leg. They were nice to compensate 1 pasta dish. Hence 1 more star, otherwise i wouldve rated 1 star. Another plus is that they are pet friendly but the balsamic vinegar splashed all over him and he very terrified as he was sleeping under the table when it dropped.
Best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. Masters of their craft.
Love it. One of our favorites in Penticton. Great food and service.
Went there with a party of 4. The service was very good, and the food was outstanding. I had the cannelloni, and I'm not ashamed to say it rivals my favorite Italian Restaurant in Vancouver! Very good place to go, and I will be recommending it to everyone I know.
Great experience. Staff were safe and accommodating. The food was timely and delicious. The server went above and beyond and brought us a glass of sparkling wine knowing we were celebrating our anniversary. Well done.
If I could have given zero stars, I would have. Service was embarassing, considering how many people they have working. We were a group of 5 who have all worked in the service industry, so we're more than understanding, but this was disgusting. Icing on the cake was that the waitress threw my leftovers in the garbage (instead of packing it up as requested) and made no attempt or offering of doing anything about it. Ps. Food isn't even good.
Best lasagna I've ever had!
Fantastic food, service and wine selection! Will be returning soon!
This was an excellent place to celebrate our anniversary. Very tasty food!
Overall amazing experience, such a cute place... server needed to have more of a sense of humor and smile but her service was superb.. food absolutely delish..
Server was very friendly and nice. Food was very average and bland though. For the price charged, I would expect better quality and better taste. the vongole pasta I ordered came with one “big” clam with shell and lots of miniature ones without shells. This is my first experience having vongole pasta that looked like this. My escargot came shell-less too and didn’t taste too fresh. #ilikemyclamstocomewithshells Didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. ????
First time visit tonight! Beautiful, spotless authentic Italian restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious; organic, flavourful, fresh, and fair portioned. We had 4 courses, it was all so good. The service and staff was great even tho the place was full! Highly recommend ! Thankyou Tyler ????
Extremely slow service but their tomato sauce tasted like sunshine; really delicious.
I have been coming to Penticton since I was little and have gone here every time I visit Penticton. Every single time I come here there is incredible food!! Spectacular service!! And has an extremely great environment!! I can never come to Penticton without eating here. No matter what it is always a fantastic place to have a nice dinner!!
Service was excellent! Food was delicious. Did not feel rushed but didn't feel ingnored after are order was taken either. Mentioned on Open Table that it was our anniversary and on several occasions were congratulated and recognized. We will be back next time we are in town for sure.
Food is always delicious

Delicious food and great service
Music a little too loud. Otherwise, great experience. Food was excellent. Will visit again.
We were a table of 12 - 6 adults, 4 tweens, 1 child and an infant. Staff were great; accommodating and helpful. EVERYONE enjoyed their meal, absolutely great. Patio was fantastic, despite traffic noise. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Dine in
Very relaxed atmosphere. Had a lovely dinner for two. Drinks came quickly and were refreshing. The service was excellent and courteous. Highly recommend. I had the cannelloni with veal stuffing. Half order was filling enough for one.
Excellent dinner appies and atmosphere.relaxed outside and heated columns of colour and warmth.will be back.
Always awesome This is one of my personal favorites and I've never had a bad meal here. Tonight we had the Osso Bucco which is phenomenal and the Tortellini with chicken, mushrooms and their amazing rose sauce. Finished with the chocolate mousse. This is the perfect date night restaurant and I will keep going back again and again.
We are from out of town and saw all the ratings and pictures so we decided to try. We were extremely disappointed, especially considering the high price point. The spaghetti wasn’t fresh-it obviously had been cooked earlier and left in the pot. The sauce was flavourless, the meatballs were also flavourless and full of fillers. There also wasn’t any Parmesan. I had “grilled” chicken, which was spongy and reheated. Not fresh at all. The special sauce was a watery tomato sauce with cream added. The seasonal veggies were ok but the famous rosemary potatoes were not fresh either. We also received no cutlery.
Had dinner here last night and the food and experience were off the chart. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food was to die for. You could see the staff knew and practiced their COVID protocols. We felt very safe eating here. Bravo!.
A terrific evening. Our first dinner out in 15 months. Outstanding food & service. Thanks so much.
A real treat to find this place was. The entire experience was top shelf. Awesome patio service. Stellar food. They will not disappoint.
Wonderful food ...so tasty and well prepared...super hot on the deck when we went but it was bearable with the great meal! Love this place!
Ate there for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent and the food was great. This restaurant is so dilligent in following the new health standards to keep all of their customers safe. My mind was put at ease immediately after seeing how important it was to them to take good care of their guests' wellbeing. Thank you.
Having come to this restaurant each of several prior years, we were disappointed in our latest visit. Despite making a reservation we were out at a noisy, drafty table by the door. From there the service and food quality had noticeably gone down hill. Not worth the price point anymore.
Beautiful restaurant. Recommend reservation if going. Great service.
Sooooo good, we are leaving and going back to Vancouver Island, had to try it. An absolute treasure!
This is our favorite Italian restaurant in the Okanagan. Great menu, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Great date night spot. I would highly recommend!
The waiter recommended an excellent wine, the menu was appealing but the food was rather disapointing. This is perhaps a finer version of olive garden. We we're served store bought ice cream as "gelato"...
Excellent home made Italian dishes with fabulous pasta. Gluten free choices and Vegan.
Everything so good! Appetizers had bruschetta and arancini balls, main was chicken and prawn villa rosa special with their signature sweet and spicy sauce. Amazing sauce!! ????
Service
Warm patio on a rainy day. Excellent service along with excellent food. VR is celebrating 25 years with $25 wine.
Great food, great service, definitely coming back.
Being new in town I wasn't exactly sure where I should go for a good meal so I thought I would start with something very close and try my luck. As luck would have it that was the Villa Rosa Ristorante and they happen to have Linguine Alle Vongole on the menu. I am a fan of his particular dish and have tried it in many different locations but I have rarely had such a well-executed meal. In a wird, it was exquisite. If you like clams and pasta you have to try this. I will definitely be back several times before I have to leave town and head back home.
What an awesome restaurant. Services and meals were delicious and what you would expect for the prices. Will absolutely return
I am from Montreal where we have Great Italian restaurants BUT Villa Rosa Restaurant was Exceptional The Food and Prestantion was amazing, fresh and top quality, everything cooked to perfection. Service was excellent and very professional. Keep up the great ambiance Tyler. Looking forward to coming back to Penticton this summer.
You know it’s an excellent restaurant when you place a take out order and the waiter knows how to a) take an order and b) treat you like a valued customer on the phone, but mostly when your take out order is hot, and absolutely flavourful and delicious. I am an avid cook and typically regret spending $ on take out, but Villa Rosa is worth every penny dine in or take out! Has been one of our favourites and remains so. Delicious!
Great food and consistently superb service - simply one of the best restaurants in Penticton. Edit of Jan 12, 2019. Had supper with friends last night, and while my angel hair pasta was great, I wanted to finish of that part of the meal with some delicious dessert. I had the tiramisu while my buddy had the chocolate cheesecake. Another great dining experience. Thanks
Very nice place too eat. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Very nice and music while your eating
Good food and good wine selection
Our server demonstrated genuine care for our experience, was very professional and had impeccable timing (wonderful service). Food was flavourful and cooked well. The outdoor patio had an excellent ambience, although being on a main road was quite loud at times - I would dine inside next time.
the service and food were top notch! Great atmosphere and again food was awesome, portions are really Italian I can say being Italian haha and that's big and filling. Prices are lil higher but you pay you pay what you get and it was all worth every penny ! will be back next time we are in town for sure.
It is always a great dining experience here, but our most recent visit had us leaving with the biggest smiles yet. In addition to their always top-notch food, Villa Rosa's Covid safety procedures were actively and ongoingly visible during our visit, and we were able to maintain safe social distancing without any impact on our dining experience. It was clear that our server felt safe and happy in her work environment, which further enhanced our experience - it's wonderful and refreshing to visit a business where a staff member gushes about what a great place it is to work! We greatly appreciate being made to feel safe to enjoy a high quality dine-in meal at one of our favourite spots. Thank you Villa Rosa!
Great food courteous and friendly staff
So, on a recommendation from a friend, we had dinner here... WOW is all I can say. Service and ambiance were absolutely perfect and the food beyond exceptional and soooooooooo good my gosh. If you are in Penticton, stopping in or passing through... This is a must stop, they will not disappoint!!
Very poor service, no apologies from the server or manager after my pasta was not cooked properly and they came back with a new one at least 30 minutes or more after my whole party had already finished eating. My parents dined here the night before and were offered a free dessert when one of their dishes was late, we did not receive this or even have the item taken off of my bill, perhaps they thought because of our age we didn't deserve the full service (?). My friends experienced uncomfortable stares from other patrons at the restaurant, I'm not sure why they felt the need (obviously this is hard for the staff to fix, but didn't help our experience). To finish off our evening our server coughed right into my friends face and just said she forgot she wasn't wearing a mask and that she was fully vaccinated.. please note even if you're vaccinated we don't want to be coughed on! Not impressed, but maybe if you're above 50 you'll have good service here.
Amazing, tasty meals and wonderful atmosphere! Staff are fun, courteous and professional. Large portions; half portions offered. Finish the evening with coffee or tea and an awesome dessert. Great atmosphere!
Food was great except for the extreme overload of salt in the seasonal vegetables. Our waitress was nice and brought out a small side to replace them. Food was tasty and decent portions. Would go back again but expect to pay about 30-60 per person for a dinner and one drink each.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere!
We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday tonight. The service and food was amazing. Even a birthday dessert to share on the house. Highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out!
The food and the service were both excellent tonight. It is wonderful to enjoy a delicious meal in a real restaurant after being isolated for almost 3 months due to Covid 19. Great care was taken to protect customers and staff. Bravo!
The food was great and the patio had a nice ambiance, with classical music and strings of lights. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We will go back.
We took a guest hoping to have a good meal. First time eating here. Not impressed with my meal. I was excited to have the veal with shrimp and crab leg. For $39 the veal was so thin, shrimp were so tiny and dry and the so called crab leg was a crab knuckle, not even a mouthful. Very expensive for very lttle portion size. Wont go back.

Four of us went for my father in laws birthday. We ordered appetizers: classic ceasar, arancini, escargot, and the gnocchi special. Mains were: ossobucco, cannelloni, polpette (meatballs) with garlic toast, and fusilli con fungi. Desserts were: creme brulée and assorted gelato. We were treated with some tiramisu as a birthday treat. Reasons why I should have given 3 stars: pasta was way too overcooked. Not just one, but all of them. It was quite disappointing. The rosé sauce was also much too sweet. Reasons why I gave 4 stars: the service was WONDERFUL. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable and the atmosphere of the winterized veranda was magical. Even though the pasta was overcooked and rosé sauce too sweet, all the other dishes were delicious. The escargot was incredible and the chef was able to use the sauce in my fusilli dish, as I requested. The house dressing in the ceasar salad was light, tart, and flavourful. Portions were perfect. The arancini was a bit bland, but a nice contrast to the more dominant flavors of the other appetizers. Overall, I would skip it in light of the other options. Will definitely return and will make a point of requesting al dente pasta to ensure it is done right. I am looking forward to our leftovers tomorrow, regardless :)
I loved the food here. It is a classic Italian restaurant but the food is tastefully prepared and delicious. The pasta proportions are huge so it is wise to do the half order. The service and ambiance are superb here. This is likely one of the best places to eat in Penticton
Food and service was excellent. We were out on the patio. The chairs out there were very uncomfortable.
The food here is AMAZING! Highly recommend sitting on the patio and getting getting bruchetta as an appetizer. Service was great and the food again was just to die for. Worth paying the extra $! Great for dates but there were several families there too with young children.
Fantastic service, with delicious food. A great spot for a date like we did.
If i could give zero stars i would. The service was terrible considering how many people were working. We went in as a group of 5 who are all in the service industry so we are pretty understanding but this experience was a disgrace. The food was not great, very bland, small portions and terribly overpriced. The small pasta looked exactly like the large but in different bowls, the crab or lack there of in one of the pasta dishes was very disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Fantastic food and really caring service. Even the owner Tyler greeted us and checked with us later, ensuring our experience was very enjoyable.

Lovely atmosphere and fabulous food
Authentic made from scratch Italian food. Excellent service. Highly recommended. Would be 5 stars if there were some fans on the patio.
The escargot was a huge disappointment, it was served in a flavourless bland mushroom sauce, we really should have sent it back. The rest of our meal was delicious and the tiramisu was amazing! Our service was also very good. You’ll want to sit inside if noise bothers you, we sat on the patio which was lovely however, there were quite a few loud cars driving by.
Great atmosphere & staff paired with delicious food and a vast selection of local wines. Book online to guarantee a seat...it's easy to do.
Amazing food, definitely the best Italian cuisine in Penticton. Great atmosphere and really professional staff
Good Italian restaurant ,I wish it had more selection. Great staff ,great prices .I will be visiting when I come back. The food was high quality and came out pretty quick.i was impressed with this place
The place to go if you're looking for Italian in Penticton. Great staff. Extensive wine list. Too many delicious options to choose from - you'll need to come back for more! Veal is their specialty and you won't leave disappointed.
We came to Villa Rosa on April 25, 2021.....for my wife's birthday. From the time we arrived, we were greeted in such a friendly happy manner, & the staff are so professional & friendly. We had a great time. The Scallops & Prawns & Caesar Salad to begin our wonderful evening was Delicious. My wife had Veal Cannelloni & I had the Halibut Dinner. Wine was great. Dessert was Tiramisu. Everything was 1st Class. We will definitely return & can't wait. We bought the lovely Cookbook also, can't wait to try a few recipes. Thank you all very much. W&V Compton
Excellent food, service and great atmosphere. Perfect for an elegant birthday celebration.

First time to Villa Rosa on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 and we were not disappointed. The food was awesome and the service was impeccable. The patio is well covered and very clean. We will definitely go back. Tyler, thank you and your staff for a lovely evening.
First time here, and it did not disappoint! Food came out extremely fast even though it was busy and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was great and consistent throughout our entire time.
My wife and I went there for our anniversary dinner. We were treating very well. The service and food was fantastic! Kudos to all the staff and the owner showed genuine interest in our dinning experience. We will be back!
Visited in December 2020. As a first timer in Canada, I felt very welcome here. The staff members were extremely friendly and well-mannered, and their services were fast and efficient as well. The food were absolutely amazing. The place was not overly crowded (probably due to COVID-19), but we made a reservation beforehand. Would definitely love to visit again.
Delicious food, excellent service and good price. A place to visit regularly ????
Beautiful place, good service and high quality food. The atmosphere is super Italian and friendly, would recommend. Prices are a bit high maybe
We were a group of 8 (4 adults, 2 kids, 2 pre teens) the take away from this visit was definitely the service of Kailyn (waitress) and Kaylin the manager, outstanding. It’s not a 5 stars because in my opinion the price point is too high. I ordered Petti Di Pollo alla Parmigiana, the chicken and the sauce was delicious but the pasta was tasteless. If you visit this place make sure to ask them to bring the bread right away.
Service
Very unique and good vibes atmosphere. The menu pleases my whole family so when we go to dine out there is something for everyone. They have a full bar from Top shelf liquor, wine, beer and spirits and more and the staff are so friendly. Very enjoyable evening!
Great spot , good service and amazing food . Can't wait to go back .
Absolutely delicious! Awesome staff, great service and the Creme Brule is amazing!
The food was amazing , the service excellent I recommend visit
Fantastic restaurant with amazing service! Thank you Tyler for the great conversation. I highly recommend anyone in the Okanagan check out this wonderful restaurant. Try the cannelloni :)
Great meal and service! Not our 1 st bust not our last!
Luckily found this amazing place touring around Penticton. Tyler and team took great care of us with fantastic food, wine and conversation. Definitely recommend anything we've had over the 2 dinners we enjoyed on their great patio! Give this place a try!!
Service
The food was fantastic! The Host(Manager) was very much a gracious host!...unfortunately our server was not very personable and we felt we(4 of us) were a burden...and spent much time chatting with other table...Tyler thank you so much!...besides the food you made our night!...we will be back!
I'm totally shocked by these reviews after visiting this place ourselves. It's about the food right? We didn't even finish our food. We left without ordering dessert because everything else was so bland. We really did not like the food at all. Found it bland, without imagination and something anyone could easily make themselves at home. Sorry. We won't be going back. Definitely not worth the very expensive price tag. Don't mind paying when you get quality and taste. We would never recommend this place.
Really nice little place. Good food. Dinner took a bit to come out. But over all great experience for date night.
Great food nice staff very courteous great service
Long time since I visited here. Went for a family friends Birthday. We had quite a large group spread out over tables, The Service was very good considering the impact of Covid on staffing. The food was still so so in my opinion but maybe I am just to picky?
GREAT atmosphere. GREAT service. Using open table did not allow us to reserve the patio. Food is good but not great. The patio is covered with grape vine, with Italian Opera music.
Never had such good Italian meal in my life. Easy to find, okay for parking, sitting outside on patio is just very nice during summer, feels like private area although there's not even that much room. doesn't get very noisy either. Waiters are good. Food is just wonderfull, pleases everyone's taste, pasta even tastes good when taken at home and eating next day, right out of the fridge :) just GO THERE
Extremely unsatisfied with our experience. We were visiting from out of town with a large group and were so disappointed with our food and the service. The Caesar salads tasted as though they came from a bag, our mussels were dry and our mains were all very bland. The server forgot to bring out bread and our appetizers came out before our drinks, as the server forgot those too. The manager visited every table except ours, while knowing we were all unhappy. The whole evening at this establishment was just very unfortunate as we were looking forward to a delicious meal after reading some of these other reviews.
Excellent quality food! Was fairly busy when I went and took a little long to get the food, but has a very cozy atmosphere, and great wine selection. Food quality and taste was excellent. They offer pretty much every dish in half or full sizes, without an appetizer the full size is perfect, and with an appetizer the half size is perfect!

We had a great meal tonight..wonderful meal, our service was awesome. Our server was Danielle, she was great. Will be back
The food and the service were exceptional. I am looking forward to a return trip.
Quaint Italian restaurant. Great service during covid times.
Likely one of the better dining facilities in penticton. Good menu selection with enough servers to handle the customers. It is expensive but as in any resort area they must make money when the can.
Had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant that always exceeds my expectations. Yummy food and superb friendly staff made for a perfect evening. Thanks to Isabel, our Waitperson who made our visit today even better????.
I went there for the 1st time yesterday and the team exceeded our expectations. We tried a few salads shared the amazing chicken breast entree. Steph and the owner Tyler took very good care of us. The desserts were tremendous and wine selection superior . Thank you!
Great service nice menu. Food was salty But generally good
Back again Aug 2019. We had a reservation ( for 7) except we'd made it for the wrong day. No problem the manager Tyler had a table arranged on the patio and we were seated within minutes. After the server had taken our order he came to the table and chatted. The food was great and as we left Tyler came into the parking lot and thanked us for coming and wished us well. Now that's what you call customer service!! Will return next yr..
Excellent service, good wine selections at a reasonable price. Food was good, not excellent but good.
First dinner out since the pandemic began. We were tentative but knew they would maintain their normal dedication to excellence. We felt 100% SAFE Everyone masked, tables appropriately distanced Spotless. Food was absolutely lovely..pasta perfect.& wonderful flavours! Thanks to all the team!???????????????????? Jervis’ & Guests
Visited Saturday Jan 27th. Our server was very good but not super impressed with the food quality. Osso bucco was over cooked when reheated to the point that it was dry and actually borderline burned on one corner.. was really suprised. Was not charged for that meal. Pasta dishes were nothing special in flavour or presentation. Rather generic actually. Two of the bottles of wine requested off the wine list were not available. Everyone at our table thought it was all too basic for what we paid. I would expect a MUCH higher end meal for the prices charged.
Staff was friendly. Food was great.
Lovely staff and wonderful wine recommendations. The arancini was the best I’ve had! Pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly with delectable sauces and ingredients. Anyone who loves a beautiful Italian meal has to try this place!
Loved it!Sat on the beautiful patio.Food was delicious!
Pleasantly surprised. I had been there in the past and could not figure out what everyone was going on about as it was just ok. This time I had the lasagna and let me tell you.....it was out of this world!! I don't live in Penticton but visit often and this will be one of my must go to places when I am there. Update - went again 2019 which has been about 7 months since my last visit. 4 of us went for dinner and it was outright amazing. I am hooked!!
We recently celebrated our anniversary by having dinner at this restaurant. Tyler, the owner immediately seated us at a table upon being greeted at the entrance. Stacey was our waitress who was polite and efficient in taking and delivering our menu items. The thin white veal was cooked to perfection along with the vegetables and gnocchi. For dessert, we ordered tiramisu and Mario's gelato which were delicious. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.
This place is the best in town! 14 years of serving the most delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. The bruschetta appetizer is our family favourite, and the staff all know the best recommendations for pairings of wine and detailed knowledge of the beer. Even though right now is hard because of COVID the whole place was immaculate! I would not hesitate coming here, everything is sanitized, everyone masked, and the food was amazing! We only regret we weren’t hungry enough for desert because the house made tiramisu sounded so good. Next time we will be sure to save some room or maybe get a container to go.
Amazing ambiance and food. Loved everything!!
Excellent food and top notch service. I love the class of this place. Greeted warmly at the door, nice quiet table. Very attentive wait staff and excellent food. Quality of preparation noticeable in the mouthwatering dishes.
Great food, superb service and very reasonable prices. Restaurant was very clean and their Covid-19 protocols are the best we've seen anywhere, including all staff wearing face masks and all surfaces sanitized between customers.
Best Italian restaurant in the South Okanagan. We had a fantastic dinner with family and friends. Applies were perfect for sharing. Everyone raved about their entrees. Our servers Danielle and Isabelle were great, very attentive. Our favorite spot for delicious desserts. Tyler and staff, many thanks for an exceptional evening.
Lovely dining experience. Great food and great service. Very friendly staff.
A perfect evening on a special occasion....my birthday. The Villa staff, as usual, were outstamding, the service as well. Our dinner was perfect in every way. Great food and a special complementary dessert topped it all off. We would totally recommend this gem of our local eateries as you will not be disappointed!!!..Thank you Villa Rosa!!????????????????????/diana/ron johnson
Awesome! Great atmosphere and they were more than happy to accommodate our dietary needs. 5 stars!!!!!
Ate there tonight and we were excited to get in for the first time out of several trips to Penticton from Vancouver. We were so disappointed. Pasta was bland as hell and super over priced. Almost $30 for watery fettuccine with canned olives and diced tomatoes on top. What is the appeal of this place? I've had way better italian for way less. We won't return. Also, we were seated at table near the door and had person after person walk in and stand less than a metre from us. Not covid safe.
Delicious food and atmosphere. Service was good, everyone we interacted with was pleasant and welcoming. The focaccia Brie and garlic appetizer is a must! Highly recommended! We would definitely come back.
I’ve been here three times. We are new to the area but went once for an office Christmas party and the food and service was awesome. As was the friendly chef. Maybe he was the owner too, I don’t know. The second time as with a few friends and the place was packed because there was a concert at the arena nearby. Despite the mayhem the service was still great and the food up to the same high level we had previously. It took a little longer but that’s no problem if it’s good. The third visit was spot-on again.
I came here for a nice dinner with my friends but unfortunately, that's not what I got. First, our waitress was impolite, seemed visibly exasperated and was not knowledgeable about the ingredients in the dishes. My celiac friend ordered gluten free pasta which was very hard and inedible. A gluten free option should only be offered if you know how to cook it properly. We did not get any apologies from the waitress or the manager, and the replacement was brought back 30 min later after all other meals were finished. No compensation was given. She even asked for some parmesan which never came. The explanation for that was "It's very busy inside." The atmosphere was not friendly or welcoming. They seem to think highly of themselves but as my friend noted as soon as she got her plate, it is more chef boyardee. If you're looking for good Italian food, head to The Cellar on Main Street.
Loved the food, service and atmosphere! Can't wait until we can go again!
Amazing restaurant with incredible staff. Went back twice on our trip and will definitely be back again! The pricing for the quality of food is also impecable.
Food was very good, staff were attentive and friendly. Would recommend and will definitely be back again.
So disappointed! My bolognese was less than average lots of pasta couldnt find the meat. Saving grace was the wine we ordered. Wouldnt go back anytime soon
We had a fantastic early dinner on the patio. Both of us had different veal dishes as our main dish and escargot for appetizer. As for the wine list new and improved.
Outstanding service from Nicole. My Italian wife said the food get's her "thumbs up" which is no easy feat. We will be back!

Last year I’d always order either the regular pasta or angel hair pasta with meatballs and it was amazing, hands down the best spaghetti sauce I tasted other than my own but the other day I was saddened and disappointed because I ordered for the first time in a long time the angel hair spaghetti and the flavour was very very bland and it just tasted like hot flavourless tomato juice. I feel like this restaurant changed chefs or their recipe for spaghetti sauce and I’m not having it.
We sat on the patio with all the greenery and lights. The meal, wine and service were amazing! The Tiramasu is the best we have have had, homemade recipe! A must if you are in Pentiction
We have been coming here for years now. The food is flawlessly consistent and the service is always very good. Despite being so busy, Tyler always makes time to say hello and check on us. My very traditional Italian in-laws won't eat anywhere else.
The food was good, but not worth the price points. Had the food been better priced, I would have rated higher
I was treated to Valentine's Dinner at Villa Rosa and the experience was perfect. From prompt, courteous and efficient wait staff, to an absolutely amazing meal in a comfortable, cozy and very romantic setting, this is a place I would highly recommend. Try the Manicotti Di Pollo au forno! To die for.
My girlfriend and I went to eat here on the way back to Vancouver and it was a nice place to sit down for dinner. The host went outside to meet us when he heard us. I mean that is paying attention. I got to say no host ever comes outside to greet us. Moreover, we had a new waitress. She greeted us and let us know that she was new so we were aware. She was very nice and told us the specials for the day. I could tell she was nervous but she will be a great waitress in the future. The food was amazing. And the ambiance was also very nice.
Lovely staff, enchanting atmosphere. The fake candles should lose a star, although the food is 5 star. So shall be my rating.
Excellent service, wine selection and food. Overall a great dining experience.
The server was friendly. The food was, overall, quite average. That said, my wife gave her soup a 10/10. The prices are astronomical though, considering what you get and what is available elsewhere. A relatively small piece of salmon that was extremely dry , about half a potato of 'roast potatoes with rosemary' and literally 4 slices of zucchini (3 green, one yellow) for $28. A price arguably worth paying if it was well prepared. Drop the prices and tell the chef to up his game - it could be a reasonable place to visit. We recently ate at the award winning Waterfront Wines Restaurant in Kelowna. Same price. Huge difference in quality and location.
Excellent food. Specialized dishes made to order with excellent presentation. Satisfying, and always a bit of room for delicious dessert. Great wine menu to pair with. Makes a fantastic date night venu .

85%. What are the other raters thinking? 6th time there. Excellent every time. Haven't been to a better Italian restaurant in the Okanagan Valley yet. Service excellent, menu enough to ease all, food great, ambiance just right
Like many other reviewers, we were drawn to Villa Rosa by the great online reviews and ratings. Unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed in the quality of the food and the atmosphere on the patio. My wife ordered a chefs special chicken & pasta dish that featured the ‘Amore Sauce’. Judging from the taste, ‘Amore Sauce’ is nothing more than sweet Thai chili sauce and some kind of cream. The chicken did not taste fresh and my wife compared it to reheated Subway chicken (which is fine at Subway, but not at an Italian restaurant that charges $36 for the meal). The pasta was served in an oil-based sauce with a touch too much oil that pooled on her plate. I ordered the Linguine di Maré which was meant to be a seafood linguine. It was mostly okay. The sauce was bland and the noodles were over cooked. I was underwhelmed. The patio is mostly okay, but you get a decent amount of road noise. The music was also all over the map (pick a lane people). Silver lining, the service was good. We told them it was our anniversary and they gave us some glasses of Prosecco on the house. If you like Boston Pizza or Pizza Hut pasta, but want to pay a little extra, this place is for you.
Outstanding gem! Almost want to say the talent, taste, and experience belongs in a more urban center but as Penticton grows it contributes to establishing the area as a cultural center. Vineyards, world class brewery (Bad Tattoo), and now continental cuisine that rivals some of the best I've had in Rome and Foligno, Italy. Definitely a class above. Portions are appropriate and workable. Menu selections can be revised at the table. Great bar and wine list however a limited beer selection. For Italian a good Peroni would work but good nonetheless, worth every cent of a stop.
Excellent customer service they just need to step up the cuisine. The linguinni del mare was excellent pasta and sauce wise but the sea food was over cooked.
We were arriving late from Vancouver and it was the only place available, the reviews looked good so we decided to give it a try. We were very disappointed. They pretend to be an high end Italian restaurant but If you have ever been in Italy you'll notice that's not authentic Italian cuisine as someone wrote in the reviews. The menu was obviously not written by an Italian as there were so many mistakes. The quality also was not great for the price! Absolutely not worth it.
Food tasted good, very small portions for the price. Servers were very nice.
