The worst, most overpriced buffet brunch I have ever experienced. No vegetarian options, heavy focus on soggy waffles, dry crepes, & hard as rock eggs. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!

We came here as there was one vegan item listed on the breakfast menu and were excited to try it. But to our surprise our amazing waitress explained that most items could be made vegan! Our table of 4 had too many options to choose from :) She also made us a large batch of vegan whipped cream. I suggest updating you menu online to indicate that many vegan-options are available, I wouldn't want people missing out on such a wonderful experience!

My family took me here for father's day brunch and the food and service were fabulous. Great selection, a staff member on the crape station, another making waffles, and the variety of food to have breakfast and/or lunch items. We didn't order off the menu, just the buffet, but we will be back for sure.

I would love the give them zero stars, but that's not an option. The food is mediocre and the service leaves something to be desired, so I probably wouldn't have gone back anyways BUT they treated my friend SO horribly over the whole ordeal that not only will I not go back, I warn everyone else not to go here. What kind of management harrasses a patron over not wanting to finish their food because it's stale, or asking for sauce? It's despicable.

We went here for lunch and it was fantastic! My girlfriend had the brisket sandwich with a tomato curry soup. It was the best brisket sandwich we have had in a long time. The soup was a tasty twist on a tomato-based soup. I had the farmers breakfast which was great. The bacon was fantastic and their "smashed" potatoes were unreal. The food was fresh and local and the atmosphere in the restaurant was rustic and relaxed. If you are looking for a cool and unique lunch spot in Penticton this is the place. The food was remarkable, and the service was even better.

First time there and it was a nice place. We were there for a business meeting, ordered drinks and no food. The server must have come over 6 or more times in 30 or so minutes to ask if we wanted food, appies, looked at the menu and wanted Refills. She appeared to get annoyed with us saying no we are good. It wasn't about good service, we were clearly meeting someone. I think we would have all appreciated letting us call her when we were ready for anything else.

Very nice brunch with indoor dining, pleasant atmosphere. We had the burger, bahn mi, eggs Benny and chicken-waffle. All of the food was excellent. Service was fine. I took away a star because they served me the worst espresso I’ve ever had, I think they just poured drip coffee into an espresso cup. So don’t order the coffee.

took awhile for the waitress to greet us at our table, talking to people. they got our orders wrong as well. the dill pickle chicken wings didn't taste like the flavor they were supposed to be and were very lacking in flavor. the budha bowl was tasty (the chicken they put into it was amazing and so tasty <3) tho just they gave us rice noodles instead of the rice grains.

I had the french toast, it was really good, and the server/owner gave me some peach jam that he had made to put on it, and it was AMAZING. My husband had the breakfast burrito and said that it was the best breakfast burrito that he has ever had! Really great place, super cozy. My ONLY small criticism was that the coffee was kind of weak.

Good vibe, good food, good coffee.. haven’t tried the baked goods YET but they always look wonderful. The walls are covered in beautiful art of all different styles. The chicken wings are especially good so meaty and a really good sized portion - I had the honey jerk and it was very tasty! 10/10 would recommend and definitely will be back for more!

The food was delicious. It was a breakfast buffet. There was a small but varied choice of food. Someone was making fresh crepes. Another staff member was slicing a fresh ham. There was a veggie frittata. Eggs Benini. A choice of deserts. The service was friendly and professional. Our waitress remembered everything we asked for. I usually ask for hot water to dilute the coffee because I like it weaker. But they usually forget about it or bring it after the coffee is cold. But even though she was busy, this girl brought it in a few minutes. I wish I could remember her name. This restaurant was very busy with the Sunday morning breakfast crowd but still gave excellent service.

Went in for my first meal (only to-go coffee before) with my 4 year daughter and not only was the risotto great, but the staff were outstanding! We sat up at the counter and everyone engaged or entertained my daughter in some way, while we were waiting for our food; showing her tricks with cups and water, to "cheers"ing her, she was thrilled and as a parent I'm so grateful! Great coffees- I like mochas, and they are served in nice big mugs, menu has lots of healthy ingredients. Great choice all around, thanks N&N, we'll be back!

Regards to service- The first time we came, our server wasn’t the nicest -ignored us when asking questions, or just taking forever to come to us - honestly seemed like she hated us and didn’t want to be there. I understand being stressed as i served for years - but being rude when all we were was kind isn't necessary But the second day our server was amazing! The reason we came back was because of the food.

We tasted a variety of the shareables and had a wonderful meal. This will become our go to restaurant when we are in Penticton.

Nadine was our server and was so sweet, friendly and attentive the entire time. We ordered the Farmer’s Breakfast and Savoury Waffle with two coffees. Food and coffee were awesome! They have also put in super safe social distancing protocols by placing tables far away from each other, mandatory hand sanitizers for each guest as soon as they enter the dining room and each server is wearing a mask. We felt very comfortable. Thanks for a great dining experience!

My three best friends from out of town and I came for brunch on Friday, and we left super disappointed. I had to send my very cold food back, my one friend's food was really tasteless, another one's meat was missing from her plate, and everyone couldn't believe I had suggested this restaurant with the level of service we received. Really terrific low maintenance environment, terrific art and terrific homemade food. Gluten free dishes for my wife were delicious, easy to ID on the regular menu and the servers were very knowledgeable. Homemade rosemary sausage with the breakfast was my favorite. We actually did a breakfast and dinner during our trip to Pentiction. We’ll be back for sure.

Sad to say , very poor brunch today. Soggy undercooked waffle, same with the crepe. Everything was out. Kitchen needs to keep a better eye on things. If something runs out , replace it, with something. Otherwise close the brunch and just run the menu.this is a great spot to eat and I have had some great food there but this buffet thing is 2 in a row for me. Please keep doing what your doing .

A hidden gem. Awesome service and the buffet is varied enough to keep things fresh but still rife with classics. A really lovely atmosphere blends perfectly with the charm of Penticton. I really recommend the Jamaican 9-1-1 hot sauce! Outstanding. Thanks for the great breakfast.

I would give this place 6 out of 5 if I could! Absolutely loved having breakfast here. The service was amazing. The store is clean, unique and historical. They have vegan and vegetarian options available. I ordered from the sides menu (avocado, toast with no butter (peanut butter sub), salsa and hash browns. The buenos dias breakfast dish served with a croissant was a hit for my companion as well. They have loose tea leafs served with honey and milk options as well. Well priced. Fun fact, it's also connected to a theatre stage. I will definitely come back here the next time I'm in Penticton and highly recommend this place!

A splendid little brunch place nestled in an old Cannery. The service was a little slow but they made sure to get us our coffees so we could just spend some time watching people go by and relaxing in their wonderful ambience. The food was absolutely delicious and they had a number of local brews on tap. My mother-in-law came back that night and watched a hilarious play and enjoyed apparently one of the best theaters in the area.

Just had the eggs Benny with bacon. One of the best we’ve had in a long time! I called ahead to see if they were busy and learned that they were getting close to closing for brunch. They actually waited for us and sat us very quickly. Awesome! Great decor, with artwork that can be purchased. Owner came by and he and I had a great talk about wine and their foods. Super nice and knowledgeable. My wife and I look forward to testing all their wines and drinks! Recommend this spot for anytime eating!

Definitely the best place in the Okanogan for breakfast and any other meal they serve (I'm sure!). The place is quaint and clean. I haven't seen a staff member not smile. The friendliness all the staff exudes reminds me of family get togethers from days gone by. They seem to all genuinely enjoy working there. They arrive to ensure every customer is completely satisfied. The food is AMAZING! It is made fresh in house. The chef (yes, real chef) is wonderful. The pastries she makes will definitely tempt the tastebuds. If you go to the Sunday buffet, go hungry! You'll need all the space in your gut to try everything they offer. The buffet table is constantly rotated, so new surprises keep appearing. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. ????

Had lunch here a little while back. This is a nice tucked out of sight place in the less travelled part of touristy Penticton, but it is no less deserving, if not more so, of your attention. They have a great list of cocktails, mostly fruity drinks, but lots of their ingredients are local/in-house made and are very tasty. For afternoon lunch I had a Buddah Bowl, delicious. They have a big list of local/domestic beers, some good some bad I think, but that's me. Definitely check it out if you're local or passing through.

Fantastic food and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. This is fast becoming my favourite eating establishment in Penticton. The food since Randy has rebranded and updated the menu is outstanding. Everything I had last becomes my new favourite dish. The carne asada tacos were the best I've had, the chicken and waffle was amazing before that, the Brisket sandwich, the Po Boy sandwich and the fried Karaage chicken sandwich are all my favourite. Oh and we must not forget the incredible burger here too. Just WOW!

Well on our first visit we shared the Shrimp Po Boy which was absolutely over-the-top the french fries are drizzled with parsley oil and they are all so fabulous... today I am having the nest Margarita which is absolutely over the top picked up with a little bit of orange marmalade and smoke salt... after a very beautiful Bloody Caesar of course and garnished with many treats...brisket sandwich( check out the menu because it was laced with many other delicious things)...plan to attend more than once. New to town, so we decided to try it out. Showed up for breakfast, was told that it would 15+ min wait for a table (with only 20 people already eating, and tables available). But if we wanted, we were offered the 'communal table' situated right at the front door (which was patio furniture). No menu, apparently Sundays are brunch buffet day. -Ham was cold -Weird hashbrown casserole was gross and bland. Right out of the 1950's. -Eggs Benedict buffet-style should NEVER happen. Danger Zone for food, much less partially cooked eggs, is a big restaurant no-no. Overall, no. I will not go back.

Went to this restaurant while having car service. Ordered a simple menu item and waited 40 minutes for the food. The server walked by many times saying nothing until she brought my order and then said my order dropped on the floor so they had to remake it. This was a weekday lunch, just fortunate I wasn't in a rush. I thought they could have at least made the overpriced cappuccino complementary, or at least mentioned it when it happened.

Was not impressed with our last visit. From the pulled pork to the brisket, very little offerings and half of each was fat. Eggs Benny came cold and the eggs tiny with almost translucent yolks. The waitress was a sweety, however other staff members were notified there was no tp in the washrooms. Their response was that was not their responsibility. (hmmm, ok). At $18 - $20 plates I always find it annoying leaving hungry. In my opinion, the dishes were that of a food truck. Nothing elegant, or spectacular. Even then a food truck would not be priced as high.

This is our favorite place to bring out of town visitors, especially for the Sunday brunch. My favorites menu items are the jamaican bowl, wings and daily poutines. Every time we go we are greeted with smiles, hugs and a great overall experience. The place gets very busy for Sunday brunch and evenings so make a reservation if you don't want to wait a small amount of time. Love this place!

The food was absolutely amazing, I could have ordered ten mor of the mushrooms on toast it was so good, and not the biggest fan of mushrooms but it was that good. Everything we ordered was absolutely to die for, and I could really tell the amount of thought and effort that was put into every dish. The drinks were absolutely amazing. The owner/bartender has let his creativity shine when it comes to these drinks and it has paid off. Every drink was delicious, I would strongly recommend the watermelon sour patch. And certainly not least the service and the atmosphere was amazing. The effort put it to get the perfect feel was done just right. Service was amazing. We are from Calgary and we will sure be visiting the next time we come, and I will be recommending it to everyone I know.

On July 4th we went to the Nest and Nectar with our kids and grandkids and had a fabulous meal and even better service. It was 38 degrees that day and the toddler was not happy, but Randy and Kristin went over and above to make it better. They brought a cold bar mop cloth for each of the children, and the little ice cube tray of food for the toddler to eat was just wonderful....grated cheese, some fruit, cucumber pieces, easy for her to manage and delicious too. And when she was still so hot, a popsicle magically appeared! We could not believe how much effort Kristin and Randy made to try and make things better in the terrible heat. The adults had a half order of nachos to start that were excellent, then had burgers, the pulled pork Sammie, and the chicken artisan sandwich, all of which were amazing. Good size portions, and the prices were so reasonable. For casual dining we found the menu to be just great, something for everyone. The wine list was really wonderful as well. We would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Penticton, the food was excellent, but the service was even better. We only wished that we could have had time to return for breakfast, that menu looked fantastic as well.

Been here once before and the food was good but the service was extremely slow and the food even painfully slower. Thought we should try one more time and they confirmed the first impression...which is a “no, not coming here again”. Wish I could recommend this, but I would say, it is sad since the atmosphere is good but everything from greeting, speed, food timing, prices etc...pass and maybe try another lateral type of setting such as The Bench.

We were travelling to Vancouver from Calgary, and were advised to stop in at the Nest to try their chicken and waffles or their eggs Benedict, so that is what we did. The chicken and waffles were by far the best breakfast I have ever eaten! The waffles where sweet and fluffy, the chicken was perfectly cooked with an unbelievably delicious breading that I’ve never seen before, which was accompanied by a home made maple syrup and hot sauce. I am a huge foodie and have tried all the top restaurants everywhere I go in many different countries as well as here in Canada, and the chicken and waffles was one of the best things I have ever eaten for any meal! The eggs Benedict where also the best I have ever had, they had a hint of pesto and perfectly cooked eggs, and the bacon was out of this world!! The staff was extremely friendly and after we told them how much we loved their food they told us a little more about how they do things. Most of their ingredients are locally sourced and everything is made from scratch including their butter, and it definitely shows. I cannot stress how good their food is, and I definitely recommend everyone come and try it for yourselves!

We came upon The Nest as a happy accident while in the area, and couldn’t be more pleased. Everything was made in house, and the extra effort really comes through in the quality and taste of the food. The atmosphere is lovely and warm, with local art for sale on the walls. We had the Bacon Eggs Benedict with smashed potatoes and the Sweet Waffle, which came with cherry capote and perfect cream. Both were amazing dishes. The cost was a little higher than your local White Spot, but it was practically fine dining at breakfast, and you get what you pay for. We had coffee with breakfast and it was an excellent blend, and the ice water was not off tasting, either (because we've all been there). Our waitress was friendly and helpful and gave us the perfect amount of interrupting during our meal. On the way out we used the rest rooms, which were actually decorated with eclectic wallpaper and vibrant color, and one had an actual pretty gold change table for the moms and dads. Everything was clean and well distanced from others, and we felt very comfortable having a meal in public. I highly recommend trying them out, I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with their experience here. My new favorite place!

Food is meh. Service was bad. Had the burrito and it seemed like it was not house made. When the waitress asked if I wanted to add chorizo sausage, I said yes thinking it would be IN the wrap. No, it came as two hockey pucks on top of my hash browns. The patties were dry, and dense (overworked). Had the waitress said it was "add a side" I would have said no. Waitress dropped off food, and never provided ketchup or hot sauce. Also when we asked for cream with our coffee, we got Milk. Those are not the same, not what I asked for. Waitress never checked up on our table, while other tables were getting great service. Honestly felt like my friend and I weren't welcome. Next time I'm in Penticton, I'll go somewhere else where I'm welcome, and can get good service.

We went here for lunch this last weekend with my Spouse and our kids. The Service was fast and friendly. Nice atmosphere. I’m giving a lower rating to reflect how disappointed I was with the quality of the burger in relation to the price. The bun was dried out and I left most of it on the plate. The burger patty was tiny in relation to the burger. They charged a lot to add cheese and bacon. The bacon was not good. The smashed potatoes were good, but not worth the added price. The waffles were good quality, but you didn’t get much for the price. The Cesars were amazing though, and the staff was great.

They kindly accommodated our group of seven with no reservation (our bad) with only a mild scolding :) I was impressed with the variety and creativity of the options, yet nothing was so burdened that sunrise couldn’t tweak it to their taste, as some if us did. I had the Farmers breakfast, but this was a few notches up from the traditional, with an excellent compote on the side. Presentation was classy and fringy. Their COVID coverage was perfectly executed, with heart. Strongly recommend.
