Wow! This place was a great find! We were in town for a vacation, and we spotted this funky restaurant. We ate outdoors among all of the colorful, neat decor. The service was so fast and friendly. Our meals were very good, as were the frozen drinks! I loved the fish tacos. We will be back!

I would have loved to give this place a higher rating but I just can’t. Although the food was pretty good (when it came out over an hour late) my overall experience was pretty awful and I left feeling pretty disappointed. Their outdoor patio is great, and the ambience was equally nice too. However, maybe on this particular night I would guess that they were short staffed? (which I could give them the benefit of the doubt) but we just felt neglected. Honestly just letting your customers know what’s going on goes a long way and they could’ve been a lot better in that department.

This is the second year my girlfriend and I have went for dinner here, and it may just be our favourite restaurant. The food is amazing. It is the best Mexican food we have had. Nowhere in Vancouver or the lower mainland compares. The drinks are good and well priced. The outdoor seating area really adds to the ambiance. All around an amazing place to eat. I recommend it to anyone who travels into Penticton.

I've eaten a lot of Mexican and this is the best I've ever had. The Parrilladas is likely fajitas w amazing Chorizo, chicken and steak. The Mango margaritas are also delicious. My 4 kids loved it too..and they're impossible. Don't even think about eating anywhere else tonight.

We ordered take out last night, I had the Chipotle Chicken Burrito, my girlfriend had the Tortilla Soup and Shrimp Tacos, her partner had the Shrimp Burrito and we also had an order of guacamole. Everything was so tasty. I was missing my Mexican paradise that I go to every Winter and this meal brought me some wonderful memories. Thank you Tequila Vallarta!

I don't recommend this restaurant. The service was good, but the patio was not clean. There were spider webs everywhere, some broken bottles, the table was sticky, and the chair pads looked like they haven't been washed in years. I did not go inside, so I cannot say if the inside of the restaurant was cleaner than the patio. To be perfectly honest, I wish I had left before I ordered food. I ordered the soft/ crispy tacos, and they were OK at best. Very bland. Very minimal effort and creativity went into the food. The only thing I can say that was good about it, was it was relatively cheap, and large portions.

Went with my family for dinner, 2 kids (6&8). Atmosphere and decor is pretty basic but you do get the local Mexican feel. Food and flavors were very good. The carne asada and pollo mole were both great. Double margarita wasn't bad either. Pico de gallo and chips were also tasty.

Really good food and margaritas. It was quite busy with large groups, so the chef brought out our food quite quickly. It was understaffed for the holiday so I appreciated the extra effort to fit in our table of two amongst the groups. Reasonably priced. The atmosphere feels like you're walking from Penticton into Mexico. Very airy and cultural, typical Spanish music. I love it and will return many times.

After reading a few of the worst reviews we realized those people are likely just in a bad mood. We walked in, got sat immediately with chips salsa and water within 2 minutes. It was quite busy and the waiter suggested we order our meal and appetizers at the same time. So we thought we might be waiting a while but no! Out came the appies and drinks! Main course followed shortly after and the food was terrific. Kids menu was great and well priced. Sitting outdoors In The shade was also fun. Authenticity 100%. This is a must visit restaurant!!

This place gets busy pretty quickly because of their mexican patio vibe. Service was good but if they are busy, food will come out after atleast ONE HOUR. We waited for the hour and the food was not worth the wait. The server tried her best with chips and salsa on the house but after 1 hour waiting for food, it is just unacceptable. The music is way too loud and they run on spotify free (you can hear the random advertisements/commerical). Stay away if you do not want the dissapointing wait times. Come in if you are in the area for drinks and loud music. Overall food is so-so, service is sub-par.

Food was excellent and the only reason I gave this restaurant 2 stars. The service was horrendous. We had a reservation for a table of 8, so they knew we were coming. No chips or salsa despite asking for some. The first entree showed up 20 minutes before any of the others. The next 6 arrived but the last one was forgotten about. It took another ten minutes for that to show up. The bill was split into 2 groups of 4, despite us telling the waitress not to split it. If the tip were not included on the bill, I would not have left one.

Literally the best service we’ve had in the Okanagan. The food was amazing. Our son has autism and the staff was so attentive, gave him this beautiful light that they asked him to keep. This place feels truly like Mexico. To a cat wandering around your feet that came with the place, to the insanely tasty food and quick beer, to the colorful dexorations and village feel this place is great. Portions so large you think there's no way you're going to eat it all, but food so good you know you're going to regret not squeezing it in. Huge recommend.

The food and atmosphere are great and reasonably priced, unfortunately they fall down on the service. Too long to wait and the iPad program seems to take a long time. Our group.waited a long time for food.and kids food. Just need more staff and better processes for front of house. Worth a visit for sure if you are looking for an authentic Mexican experience.
