Authentic Eastern European kitchen with the best Polish tradition. The taste of food definitely reminds us of the Polish dishes. Made with well selected and fresh ingredients. Crepes with mushrooms and mozzarella and the Blueberry pierogies are a MUST! The schnitzel is of course a classic Polish food so if you are into meat that is so delicious and you will enjoy it. Everything is homemade at this place. The owners are very friendly, professional and are willing to provide the details on the food, where it is coming from and how it is made. Basically anything you order it’s yummy in the tummy. This place is a must for food when you are visiting Penticton and the Okanagan. My wife and I are definitely enthusiasts of this place and we will be back every time we’re back here to do our wine tours.

Absolutely amazing experience! Our waiter was knowledgable and pleasant. The food was absolutely delightful. I had the schnitzel with mushroom gravy and dill pierogies with house salad. The schnitzel was cooked perfectly and the dill pierogies were creamy and flavorful. Homestyle, food cooked with love! Reminded me of food my Baba would make, I would absolutely reccomend!

The man is pleasant. The pierogies look mass produced and the filling is far too stuffed and perfect texture which makes me question their "home made" status. They tasted like those from a grocery store. I was disappointed as I had heard it was very good. The steamed veggies were carrots brocolli and cauliflower, they were nicely firm but bland. The cabbage rolls are as well perfect looking and identically formed which questions the home made status... the poor man was run off his feet and we had to wait over an hour for food and 2nd glass of water. So if there are more than 2 tables filled walk out. Right from the beginning we were assaulted with burning eyes from a very heavy onion aroma, for 4 of 6 of us at the table. This was a birthday dinner so we made the best of it.

Not easy to find great restaurant with delicious food and phenomenal service. We enjoyed everything from homemade soup, pierogis, stuffed cabbage and schnitzel. For dessert we had pierogis (polish dumplings) stuffed with blueberries and served with sweet cream. Our server was very knowledgeable and very nice. If you are looking for delicious meal, nice place and delightful service don’t hesitate to give this place a try. We know we will be back every time we are in the area.

My partner and I had the good fortune of attending a luncheon meeting at this restaurant February 22, 2020. Even though there were 35 folks at the meeting, the food was so tasty and hot, served in a timely manner and the variety was excellent. Uuuhhmm YUMMYYY! I eat there once a week at least a couple of dill potato pierogis. The dough is so light and perfect unlike garbage cheemo pierogis. These are the real deal, the staff is so friendly and welcoming it's nostalgic of traveling Europe! Such delicious borscht and affordable experiences here will keep me coming back for years. This restaurant serves authentic home cooked *delicious* Polish food....with a nice selection of all the classics. Every meal brings me right back to the many Sunday dinners at Oma's house from my childhood. An array of platters, lunch and dinner specials, and "build your own meal" options provide great value for the well portioned servings. Be sure to add a bowl of Borscht to your meal. Don't bother with the cup...you will regret it LOL Check out the nice selection of import Polish and Czech beers as well as great selections of local wines to choose from. Come hungry and be sure to try all of these 3 staples...cabbage rolls, pierogies, and cutlets - all are must try! If you are really hungry add a Polish sausage and enjoy!

Really great service but perogees filling was dry, pasty, bland and to fine of a grind with the pork and beef. They need to add less potatoe and flour. If flour is what they are using as a binder. Cabbage rolls were good so may not be all their food. I wish them the best hope they fix it before they loose business. I had the pork, beef, sauerkraut and cheddar cheese perogees. Business is tough in Penticton so do not wish to hurt them. Easy fix so hope they rectify it.

Can hardly wait to return here, next trip to Penticton. Elegant murals ,gigantic, line the walls, stylish buildings near the Vistula River. From Borscht to Perogies, we enjoy their Polish menu. The Bistro is a block away from Jeffers Chip Wagon near Main Street. In summer the popular Farmers Market with crafts and orchard booths attract customers on the streets Saturdays. Absolutely delicious! Pierogies are amazing and taste just like my Baba used to make. The schnitzel is so good and perfect for that salty and crispy craving. The borscht is perfect for a summer lunch or to warm up on a fall day. I have to stop in every time I visit or pass through Penticton and I even take borscht to go for when I get home! They get busy, so give yourself time, as it can be a bit slow, but so worth it. Home-made goodness!

A must stop in Penticton! Absolutely delicious food; I went back the next day on my vacation to have more. As a polish person, these are the best pierogies I've found outside of Poland! Great, friendly service; I can't wait to come back next year :)

Finally had a chance to try this gem. Been back a second time in the same week already. I love the prices and the food is flavourful and homecooked. My daughter is hyper allergic to processed foods and she ate here twice in the same week with no effects which tells me the food is made from scratch. Definitely recommend.

Holy moly.... So good!! Pierogies melt in your mouth. Schnitzel was amazing, meatballs were amazing, and the tyskie beer was smooth!!!

Excellent flavors, we tried the Borscht, Cabbage rolls, and perogies, they were all amazing!! The service was 5 star as well. Pricing was excellent as well. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Excellent food and it all appears to be made from scratch. This was our second time at the Polish Bistro. The owner is welcoming, the food is delicious. I came for the cabbage rolls the first time and they did not disappoint. The flavors are exquisite. Also be sure to try the Schnitzel with mushroom gravy. The house iceberg lettuce salad bursts with flavor due to the house dressing.

Dayummm!!! BEST Polish food ever!! We were visiting from Vancouver and can't stop raving about this little hole-in-the-wall. Don't pass it by next time you're in Penticton. It's totally worth it. Reasonable prices, awesome service, great post-soviet era music and did I say amazing food?

If you love perogies and borscht you HAVE to go to Polish Bistro. I had the wild blueberry perogies and a bowl of borscht. No word of a lie.....every bite I took was followed with mmmmmmm. Can’t wait to eat there again! If I could give 10 stars I would.

The Polish Bistro serves my type of homestyle “comfort” food… The portions are great, and so is the service !!! As a family, we have been in many times for dinner, and even done take out for lunch. Never have been disappointed, and would highly recommend !!!
