Visited in the summer for my dad’s birthday and we really enjoyed our meals. The souvlaki platters were large delicious portions and our server was so pleasant and attentive on a very busy evening. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Went on Christmas Eve with my date, our server, Barry, was phenomenal! He had knowledge of the menu, was able to reccomend and help us decide on our meals! Took my parents out for a belated birthday and Father's day dinner. We are so happy we found this gem of a place. From the helpful staff on the phone when I made the reservation to the warm welcoming hostess, attentive and friendly server and the amazing food, it was all top notch. I would definitely recommend. My mom loves lobster and it's hard to find a lot of restaurants in and around the area that serve it. We drove from Cawston. So worth it. Very large portions. My dad had a perfectly cooked new York steak and I had a delicious spanakopita. The only thing that surprised me was pita didn't come with our meals. Every Greek place I have been to in the lower mainland, I have had it with my dinner. Everything else was truly amazing and I can't wait to go back. Go early because it fills up fast and I can see why!

I Placed a take out order and showed up 10 minutes after the time I was told. Had to wait double the time as when I got there I had to wait another 25 minutes. I was told my Order was just about done when I arrived. when I received the food most was burnt, definitely not what I was expecting

I think this is my first 5 star review. The atmosphere was homey and tastefully decorated. The tables were quite close to each other but there was not a lot of background noise. The menu selection was varied without being overwhelming. And the food was excellent. I had lamb soulaki. There was just a hint of char on the outside while still being perfectly medium. The vegetables were very well cooked. It seems rare to get zucchini at a restaurant that isn't way overcooked and the amount of food was perfect. A glass of Merlot and the soulaki was a wonderful way to end the day here in Penticton.

La Casa Ouzeria is a warm, cozy, nicely decorated Greek and Italian Penticton restaurant serving a variety of Mediterranean dishes. Three of our group of four chose lamb - either roast lamb shoulder or lamb chops - and my husband said his was the best lamb he has ever had. I chose a great pasta dish with sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, and onions which was hot to the last bite. Service was excellent as was the strict attention paid to COVID regulations. The downtown location with parking made la Casa Ouzeria convenient for travellers. Reservations are a must.

Absolutely without a doubt, the best Greek food in the province (yes, you read that correctly). A longtime, family run restaurant with a hugely loyal following. We never miss an opportunity to dine here whenever we're in town. The food is ridiculously good, plentiful, and the service is always capable, professional and courteous. It doesn't matter what you order, it's always fresh and beyond flavorful. Homemade excellence. My praise is effusive for good reason: You cannot have a bad meal here. Price point is very good, too. Enjoy!

Came to this beautiful, busy, vibrant restaurant last night with a few friends to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere here is up beat and fun, but not too much where it takes away from a romantic evening for 2. Service was great, the menu is full of amazing choices that you want to come back and try others. I had the Lamb Lemonato special and it was so full of flavour and tender that I would honestly have a hard time ordering something different next time i come here (which will be soon). They have a very diverse wine list that accommodates every taste and budget, along with a superb cocktail menu that utilizes fresh ingredients just like the food. Dessert was hard to pass up, but they still brought a great piece of Tiramisu with a birthday candle complete with the singing of happy birthday. Great evening with friends and a wonderful overall experience.

We were excited to eat here after seeing all the 2019 food awards in the entrance, but we were disappointed in the end... The service was very friendly but slow. The dinners were ok but not great. The tiramisu was AMAZING! Overpriced $$$ compared to what we are used to in Abbotsford - Greek Islands also includes a soup and a salad and bread with dip with every meal.

Went with some family on a Wednesday night and we were early enough to grab a table before the entire place filled up. If you plan to be later than 6pm you might need a reservation. We got a platter and it was filling for 3 people. Knowing my brother, it would probably be enough for four people. Lively place, busy but cosy atmosphere.

My co-worker and I treat ourselves to the "lunch hour quickie" regularly and highly recommend the spanakopita and greek salad! Tonight 7 of us went to celebrate my parents 52nd wedding anniversary. Our waitress Shayna was excellent! Without a reservation we were sat quickly, our drink order taken and delivered while we looked at the menu. Shayna was efficient, polite, and catered to my children's requests of multiple pop refills. The warm buns with dip were the perfect appie while we waited for our food. The food was served in a timely manner, was excellent and the portion sizes very generous. My only regret was that I didn't have room for tiramisu!! Next time I'll order it to go!! Great atmosphere, great people, great food! Highly recommended!

Great food. Appetizers are big. We ordered calamari and fried chicken liver. The special Pork Tomahawk, gaint pork chop. The patio looks great. Next time, we would reserve our table in the patio.

Ordered their Minoe Platter, labeled as "All About Family - Eat Like a Greek". I was surprised with how little rice was sprinkled on the thin oven liner tray they served their platter on. It literally came in a used Pepsi Tray covered in tinfoil. There was not enough rice or potatoes to feed my 4 year old and two year old, let alone my wife and I. When I called to inquire why it was served with such little rice and potatoes I was told by the owner, after being on hold for fifteen minutes, that the platter is just meant for two. Last time I ordered it came in a much deeper tray and completely filled the family up, thus the shock and proceeding phone call. I can't imagine they would write a headline like that above their platter menu and proceed to tell you it is a meal for two.

Ordered Fettuccini Alfredo in a white sauce and ended up with a Red Sauce. It was the House Special which was okay because I made some changes to it except the waitress did not confirm that with me before we finalized the order. I specifically told her to that's what I wanted White Alfredo. As Red Sauce and Seafood aren't suppose to be mixed. Luckily the meal was okay and not to Red so I did not mention it I also don't like to waste food. The server was very friendly but they should always explain in detail what exactly is in the meal to the customers. Just some food for thought.

We just finished a late dinner and were absolutely blown away by the food and the service. The Spanakopita and Roast Lamb are spectacular. Some of the best lamb we've eaten anywhere for any price. We were the last people in the restaurant by a long shot but we were not rushed in anyway. Our server Barry was a pleasure to interact with and consummate professional. If you have the opportunity to dine at this delicious and well run family owned restaurant do yourself the favor of making a reservation.

Went to this restaurant as I had bid on a gift certificate for 100.00 in a silent auction that was a fundraiser for OSNS. Everything was great until I tried to pay for the bill with the gift certificate that they wouldn't honour said it had expired which I explained that it is against the law to put expiring dates now. Their reply was that no one paid for it so they can put an expiry date on it. My reply was but I paid for it at the auction it wasn't free. So I had to pay for the meal with my family. The restaurant is now blaming OSNS for not explainig the expiry date as I have received an email from OSNS wanting to make it right. La Casa Quzeria gives a gift certificate, gets the advertising for the auction and the community support for the making the donation and then won't honour it. I wonder if they wrote it off as a donation for income tax. Just plan poor business practice. Will not eat here again. Will still support OSNS and all future fundraising.

We were a party of 7 with reservations. My husband and I were the last to arrive and it was 6 to 7 minutes waiting in the front foyer before anyone sat us with our party. Our dinner orders were taken fairly promptly and then the wait began. It was an hour before we had our dinners in front of us. I had a dish which included a small greek salad with one olive in it, three pieces of tomato and the rest was green peppers and purple onion. Clove was the only flavor I could detect from my meal. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals but I won't be back again. Sorry.

AMAZING FOOD! Tried this restaurant for the first time and was not disappointed! Ample parking in back. Handicapped space. They specialize in authentic Greek and Italian cuisine and it's all about flavor and presentation. The menu has many choices and options and everything is moderately priced. Extensive wine list. Many of their dishes can be prepared for Vegetarians/Vegans. Very friendly, informative staff. Your dining experience is pleasant and begins with your table candle lit and beverages served. To start and included with your meal is fresh baked buns with a balsamic vinegar and olive oil dipping bowl. Nice variety of salads and starter plates. They have theme nights that feature their top dishes at a reduced price ie Rib Night. Very generous portions on every plate. Our table enjoyed Greek and Caesars salads, Spaghetti, full rack Baby Back Ribs (fall off the bone so delicious and tender!), Lobster, Baked Wild Pacific Salmon, Lasagne, and Suvlaki. Everything was divine and a party for the taste buds! Desserts are a generous portion. I recommend the Tiramasu! I also recommend making reservations as this restaurant is filled to capacity during the dinner hour. And I highly recommend this restaurant! 5 Stars from me!

I must say the food was delicious, but the potion was small and extremely pricey. I asked to substitute the pasta for spinach, since i am watching my carb intake due to diabetic concerns. My waitress checked with the kitchen and replied that it was no problem. When the dish arrived it was very small and contained only 4 prawns , a few mushroom peices on a small amount of lettuce. It was very tasty but no where near a dinner portion. So imagine my surprise when the check arrived and i found i had been charged an extra 4 dollars for my substitution. That brought the price of this tiny plate to $ 27. I was upset that i had not been notified of the up charge and that after charging extra i was not even given a reasonable portion. The waitress said it was because the lettuce was more expensive than pasta, which is ridiculous since the lettuce i received would have cost certainly less than 1 dollar. Then she said it took more prep time which is ludicrous since the kitchen staff would just need to grab a handfull of lettuce and put it on the plate, no cooking or prep required.

A nice enough restaurant but the server was a little over attentive for my liking - dishes disappeared almost before I had time to swallow the last bite. When the bill arrived ($59.80) and we put down a $100.00 bill she asked if we wanted change. When we replied 'yes' she asked us how much change we wanted! Not a good way to end a nice meal!

I read a few reviews about the place and all of them was on the dot. The decor was cozy, service was VERY hospitable and the food was delicious! We had the Tri Dip to start and just to warn you that you'll need to order more pita bread cause it won't be enough but it's worth it. I ordered Solomos and my girlfriend ordered the Penne Alla Suzana, both of our dishes were great! Mine was a special which was wrapped in Phyllo but it made it even better. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

When we go to La Casa there is always a warm welcome. The food is excellent! We have been regular customers for about 15 years now. Try their lamb souvlaki or the kalimari or the moussaka. One of our favorites was the big platter with a selection of lamb, souvlaki, roast potatoes, kalimari, moussaka, etc. It is meant for two to share but was enough food for three of us.

This restaurant is a true gem of Penticton that you must visit. We came here with a party of 6 and they managed to squeeze us in. The server I forgot his name is one of the best servers we have ever had (server was from the lower mainland like us). The food was just amazing everyone at our table had nothing but good things to say about the food. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for the best Greek food in Penticton.

Excellent friendly service. Went out looking for authentic Greek. Found it. Hubs got a bit of an Italian meal. So apparently they do both. Decor and ambience is very nice. Got a table in back because we didn't have a reservation at peak hour...6pm on a Friday night. It was packed...but had the best service ever And a wonderful meal.

Wow! What a popular restaurant! Make a reservation. The food was great. The place was as packed as it could get during Covid so service was slow but friendly and helpful. My only complaint was noise. The whole restaurant was fairly noisy, as you'd expect when it is so busy, but we were placed in a small nook with only 6 tables. One party was extremely loud. There are no baffles or dividers so the sound bounced off the walls. It got so loud we could not carry on a conversation.

I had the lamb lemonato (slow roasted lamb shoulder) and it was phenomenal. The portion size was extremely generous too. The restaurant is really cute. The patio has tons of vegetation with grapes vines hanging from the pergola. I did not try any drinks but the restaurant has several awards on display for their cesars and other cocktails.

We found this restaurant by accident as we drove down Main Street in Penticton. The service was first class; friendly and efficient even when very busy. The Moussaka was so good, I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life. So, we came back the next day and ordered Saganaki for a starter, which may be the best think I have ever tasted in my life.

Highly recommend over the other local Greek restaurant everyone thinks is so great, but is over rated.

Not sure what it’s like. Booked an anniversary dinner over a week in advance, showed up with the entire family at 6:30 and they had no idea we were coming. The hostess even had a gall to make it my fault by asking if; ‘I knew the name of the girl I made the reservation with’. For some reason this is a valid question? Like I write down the names of every clam I talk to on the phone. I wonder if I did know the name suddenly a table would appear out of the floor?? Anyways, lived here for years and I had never tried La Casa Ouzeria and I never will. Thanks to Theo’s restaurant three blocks down who accommodated us, their staff enjoyed a $92 tip. Guess who’s getting our future business?

Pathetic... greek family run restaurant. . Underseasoned reheated bland food. The treatment by owners towards staff is disgusting and rampant. I'd say if you never heard of your food being underseasoned you haven't eaten properly prepared food. And the staff doesn't respect you.

Decent Greek food at its proper price point. Very nice room and good service. Drinks were good. I ordered the steak and lobster. It was likely near the worst steak I have had in a restaurant, including the midnight specials in Las Vegas. Ordered medium, received rare. That rareness was a blessing though as the steak was very tough. It was also way over-seasoned to the point of tasting of char and salt, and not much else. I am not even sure it was the cut as stated on the menu a NY....it was much more like a 1/2 inch thin sirloin. The restaurant did offer a redo which I declined due to eating too much of the wonderful appie platter.

These guys knocked it out of the park for Mother's day! Thank you La Casa Ouzeria for cooking my mom a "OMG fabulous lobster dinner" (in her words) for my mom on Mother's day. Being a province away, this was the only thing I could think of to show my mom a nice day and you guys made such good food that I'm sure I'll be hearing about it for years. Passable food and service, but by the standards of a city-goer it's sub-par. We went because we had free appy and dessert vouchers from our B&B but unless you're getting free things I wouldn't recommend it. Looks like a lot of good reviews, and I'd imagine in comparison to some of the options in town this is good, but there are better alternatives for tourists (see Hooded Merganser).

We had a party of 5. We all ordered something different, Vegetable Plate, LaCasa Special, Flamebroiled NY steak, except 2ĺ had Lamb Souvlaki. My husband order a Caesar Salad..it was huge!! He shared a bit with me..it was delicious!! Probably one of the best I have tasted in ages. I wished I had ordered the Caesar Salad too!! Steak was perfectly done!! I ordered a Vodka Lemonade then another..it was delicious!! We had no dessert as we had birthday cupcakes waiting for us at home. Everyone enjoyed their meals immensely...no complaints, great service, very enjoyable evening.

Food was fantastic, literally made in front of you by the owner and his wife who are a lovely couple. good to note this place is cash-only so if you're like me and don't carry cash there is an RBC down the street...well worth it.

Still one of our favourites here in Penticton. We've been patrons of this restaurant in their current building, and a smaller one they had many years ago. Food has always been true to their Greek roots, with many classic dishes that continue to satisfy even the most critical of foodies. I'm always happy with their vegetarian choices, and have heard kind words from my dining companions on their meat dishes.
