The food here is excellent. Beyond what you would expect out of a small sandwich shop. The chef here has some serious cooking talent and should really get some financing to open a full scale restaurant because you are definitely good enough to cut it, even in Vancouver. I have rarely tasted sandwiches that good.

Came here yesterday, we were looking for something unique and as we walked down main st downtown Penticton, we saw the restaurant. We yelped it to see if it is worth the visit. So we turned around and headed to that direction. First thing you notice is the entrance. Very raw, is what i can describe it. Ambiance was quite minimalist sort of industrial. Now let us get with the food. 3 focus, soups, sandwich, salads. Decided to have a angus beef chilil, and the tuna melt with a side order of cornbread. The tuna melt, don't really have alot of it but this one i can say probably best if not second best i have had in my life. The chili was flavourful, not use to actual beef chunks but it worked, and partnered up with the cornbread something to consider with you come here. Finally the staff was nice, considerate and helpful as i asked questions and answered with delight. It is a nice balance and something to check out when you come into the penticton area

This is a casual cafeteria style restaurant set in the original Penticton Chrysler Building on Main Street. There is no table service and your food order is made at the counter. Unless the kitchen staff have time to bring it out to you, you pick it up when it is called by number. This restaurant was fairly busy in the middle of a Sunday afternoon with people coming regularly so it is obviously popular with the locals. The menu items were unique including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. The soups we're interesting and the artisan bread they used with their sandwiches was very different and probably baked in house but I did not ask about that. I would come back next time I travel to Penticton.

Good food, small portions, some times the specials are bit over the top with too many ingredients less is more boys, nothing beats simplicity, staff are friendly, but I really hate having to clean up my own plates or sitting at tables that are grungy from the previous customers.

Very disappointing. High priced, low quality, extremely small portioned meals. Poor service. I had pulled pork. It was very small bun and had hardly any pulled pork which lacked flavor. Mostly ham and a bit fatty at that. My friend ordered a soup. Less than a real cupful of a savourless mix of obviously canned peas and carrots for a whopping $7. And he had to go back to the counter to ask why his order number hadn’t been called. They had forgotten about it. My mini sandwich was over $11..00 with a simple drip coffee that was both lukewarm and weak. Steer clear of this place. Incomprehensible how anyone could give this place more than one star.

Yesterday my fiance and I had the privilege to indulge ourselves in the delicious food and drink Brodo has to offer. We have been working with Chef Paul to help cater our wedding. Brodo came highly recommended to us through our venue - we assumed they would have good food but we were absolutely blown away by the complex flavours and combinations they created. The service, prices, and atmosphere were just as fabulous making our entire experience out of this world. We will be recommending all of our family and friends to drop by for a bite and we are SO looking forward to enjoying their food on our wedding day! My grandparents and I come here almost every time we have lunch in Penticton, and it's never been anything short of amazing. Truly a modern Penticton icon.

My wife and I where in petition for the evening and decided to setup by Brodo for dinner. When we arrived we learned of their thanksgiving turkey special. It was amazing the turkey, stuffing, veggies, sweet potatoes, gravy it was all amazing. They also had a deconstructed crumble that is worth the trip by itself.

Just ate here tonight, and this place is a gem. Was quite likely the best bowl of chilli I’ve ever had.... lifetime best kinda level..... I also had their Quinoa salad which again I would compare favorably to any I’ve had at any price point..... anywhere. Ingredient quality and taste was absolutely exceptional, and far exceeded expectations. I was officially wowed.... Decor wise it’s simple but effective, think Sbux esque.... Service was friendly and attentive, but again.... can’t say enough about how delicious the food was. Honestly, if this place was in Van City or Portland, there would be lineups to be seated.... no question. I can’t vouch for everything on the menu, but the Chilli with Quinoa salad completely hit it out of the park....????

If you go for the soup be sure to bring your magnifying glass to find the small portion size. French onion soup was more like onion. No parmesan or melted cheese. The chicken soup left you looking for the chicken and rubbery tofu marshmallows replaced that. Okay flavour. You get 3/4 cup of lukewarm water and go pick your own tea bag. Heard another customer grumble about his sandwich . The Mexican restaurant just up the road will get our business .

Great staff, fresh ingredients, awesome menu items and pairings. If your passing through this is definitely a must stop or if your a local this would definitely be a regular place! I had the Roast Root Vegetable Flatbread and Soba Noodle salad which were both spot on. Both were filling but light enough to not leave me bogged down to hit the trails afterwards.

We went here for dinner around 7pm and the place was totally dead and had already sold out of their main special. Apparently you have to get in early. I had their bone broth (super good) and a ceaser salad. They had run out of portobellos for the salad but used a nice duxelle instead. Sad we missed the main event but what we did have was tasty and affordable. Would recommend but dont be late!

Brodo catered our wedding on June.16th and simply crushed it! Professional, dedicated, with timely communication during the whole process. They were a joy to work with. We did a cocktail style reception with food stations (instead of the traditional banquette or sit down), and the whole team rose to the challenge with ease.. Our food selections were gourmet twists on family favorites with a few "foodie" items, and it felt like every single guest came up to us to comment on how delicious the food was and that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding (whoa!). We feel grateful to have had the Brodo team cater our wedding. Looking forward to lunch next time we're in town!

Yum yum yum!! I’ve only ever had the soups here but the sandwiches sound amazing and I’m definitely going to try them one day. The dumpling soup, SO good. I especially love the crispy cheese type chip thing garnish. GENIUS. Also the chicken tortilla soup with the crispy tortilla chips on top mmm. ALSO the corn bread that you can order on the side is perfect. It’s a really great location, the sitting area is massive, lots of room for people. 10/10 would recommend.

Delicious! My husband and I came for dinner because we were looking for somewhere that serves local fresh food. I had the turkey and gouda sandwich with a Caesar salad and my husband had the special sandwich with the curried quinoa salad. They were both amazing, fresh and delicious. I also had a glass of the rose wine (Monster Vineyards) which was surprisingly nice and worked well with the sandwich. As we were about to leave one of the staff brought over a couple little complimentary chocolate pannacottas which were also delicious. We both worked in restaurants for years so are very picky when it comes to food quality and Brodo is top notch! We are leaving Penticton tomorrow but are thinking we may come by for lunch on our way out of town... Nicely done Brodo!

Due to dietary restrictions, I have to eat gluten free, and Brodo is able to make most of their sandwiches gluten free. The sandwiches are excellent, and the gluten free bread is the best I have ever had (besides my homemade). Most of there soups are also gluten free and very good too.

I am NEVER disappointed by the food here. The quantities are not huge, but they are very reasonable, and the imagination put into the flavors in each dish is amazing. Brodo catered our wedding on september 17th, possibly the most windy day I have ever experienced and they were INCREDIBLE! Between helping with the blustery set up, keeping decor in place, and cleaning up (including doing our dishes) despite not being employed to, just to help us make our day go by smoothly. I am so incredibly grateful for their dedication to their work, their fantastic service, all the extra care and attention they gave us, and for going above and beyond due to the weather conditions being a handful. I would choose brodo to do any of my upcoming events because I know they will do everything they can to make it better than ever. Not to mention their food is INCREDIBLE! It is still such a highlight for so many who attended and many of our guests are excited to visit the restaurant soon!
