Excellent experience! Tiny bit of a wait as they hadn't opened their upstairs dining area. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size!! Enjoyed garlic bread with cheese (4pc), fish and chips (weird, did not come with coleslaw!) And an amazing hot turkey plate with stir fried fresh veggies, baked potato and a pile of turkey and gravy! Best I've ever had!

If you want expensive, extremely small portions that’s your place! Lol The service… they’ll treat you like you were at a fast food chain. That kind of fake politeness… I guess the good reviews is simply because there are no options around.

I've never had a meal here that I've been a big fan of. Always tastes bland. Staff aren't always the friendliest. I only eat here if the people I'm with are insistent we go.

Food was good, friendly staff, safety protocols in place, we enjoyed the time eating there. Ample of parking and located closer to downtown attractions. Will visit again during next camping trip for sure. Keep up the good work Trappers.

We were visiting Parry Sound from Toronto and had planned to eat along the water for lunch- but the selected restaurant wasn’t really social distancing... We looked around and almost gave up when we stumbled by Trapper’s Choice. What a delightful surprise. They had a patio and great menu and what a delicious set of dishes! The pickerel sandwich was ridiculously delicious- light batter- not greasy, not salty. It was amazing. We also selected the Mediterranean wrap and it was full of grilled veggies that were to die for! I had an order of Tzatziki on the side with perfect sweet potatoes fries. Even the little side salad was done-up nicely. I would highly recommend this hidden, unsuspecting little gem. Lovely attentive staff too.

Excellent food and service. Our waitress was a consummate professional; she was quick, attentive, and anticipated our needs. I had a rack of ribs and they were delicious. They were perfectly cooked and the sauce was to die for.

Staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I ordered the steak sandwich and it was not even edible. I could barely cut it with a knife. My wife ordered the fish and chips and it was edible but nothing special. We chose this restaurant based on reviews and were disappointed with the quality.

One of my fav restaurants in PS for old fashioned home cooking. Liver and onions, baby back ribs, amazing burgers, excellent stir frys and all time my fav dish, chicken citrus salad. Great staff and a rustic ambiance. A great place for socializing with friends.

Just ordered takeout for the first time and I gotta say it wasn't great at all. Went with the turkey club and it tasted like it was made a couple of days ago. Ladies at the front were super friendly and very welcoming. Maybe just an off day or not the right meal to judge them on. I'll give it another go next time I'm in town.

What a treat this place is. On the way home from a heavy backcountry camping trip, this place really satiafied our hunger. The burgers were amazing. Huge beef pattys loaded with fresh toppings. Great potatoes wedges too. Will definitely stop here again.

My word! We stopped for dinner on our way to Sudbury and my vegetarian daughter decided to try fish & chips. She said that she'll never eat fish and chips anywhere else. To use a phrase way too young for me: Trappers Choice is da bomb. I love fish and chips and this was the best beer battered haddock I have ever had.

I know Covid has made things stressful and I try to be really friendly a supportive of staff. But the blond waitress at Trappers was rude and unkind. I do not recommend being served by her.

Came here for lunch after reading the reviews and wasn't disappointed. I had the 16 oz Mad Trapper burger which was amazing! The burger patties we're very tasty. Service was prompt. As for the restaurant, it reminded me of a saloon. They also have a patio as well. When in Parry Sound, if you're craving a burger, definitely check this place out!

Staff was friendly and the menu was still great despite visiting during COVID. We have been a couple times over the years for snowmobiling and I hope they survive this pandemic so we can continue to enjoy it in the future. Its one of our favorites

If you want a quarter inch thick boot steak for $20 , cold sausage and tiny eggs overcooked . Then you're in the right restaurant. Very week.

Everyone in our party of 7 was really happy with both the quantity and taste of our food. From the souvlaki to liver to greek steak and burgers - everyone was very pleased. We were seated in the upstairs area which was pretty hot but we were just happy they could accommodate our group.

Used to be good food. Been going there for years! BUT tonight I ordered the hot turkey samdwich. They didnt have turkey ???? ok so as a loyal repeat customer I am willing to make accommodations. It's unfortunate that the "chef" was not willing to work with me. How difficult is it to put a chicken breast on bread with gravy??? I even offered to pull it apart myself!!! The not so friendly manager came to inform me that the "chef" would not accommodate even though they have chicken, bread, gravy and all the other fixings. I guess he doesn't know how to chop up a chickem breast? Disgusting customer service!!

This was my second visit to the restaurant. After my first visit I thought "I want to come back sometime." After today's visit my opinion hasn't changed. I still want to eat there again! Today I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with blue cheese sauce - mmmm. My previous visit I had the steak sandwich - at this restaurant that is an actual small steak, not shaved beef. Both were excellent. We made the service challenging by showing up unannounced with a good part of our hockey team with parents - they made it work and the service was fast.

The second you step out of your car you can smell how amazing the restaurant. Went to this restaurant for the first time on Tuesday and honestly it was such amazing food. I got the mad trapper burger and holy helllll that burger was huge and probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. They have amazing portion sizes. You definitely get what you pay for I high recommend. The apps are amazing as well and great portion sizes. The waitress was amazing and very nice.

Great family restaurant with inexpensive menu options. My daughter loved their french fries, tasted like her grandmother used to make! Good portion sizes and value for the price. Very friendly service. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Will return if ever in Parry Sound again.
