We've tried a few Asian food restaurants in the area over the past years. We keep coming back to this one. Food is always delicious, quality is awesome. I would suggest you just walk in and order, usually you get your food within 15-20 minutes.

Totally awesome food!! Any other mainstream Chinese restaurant is sub standard to this place... Wokin Express is the standard of Chinese food. And the owners are very friendly. If I take the kids somewhere else if we're not around here, and they want Chinese, I groan and whine because I know the other places are over priced and the food is not nearly as good as this place!! Most definately recommended!!

Had the general tao chicken combo, the breading on the chicken was total mush and was drenched in sauce, chicken itself was overcooked and very tough/stringy. The other items in the combo were passable, its hard to do chop suey and fried rice wrong. This place is very conveniently placed and at least the food came out quickly, but I think from now on I'll be making the trek to some of the higher quality Asian restaurants in our area.

Amazing Chinese food and even friendlier staff. If you're ever craving Chinese food in Whitby or even the Durham region, this the place to go. The egg roll is packed with fillings and chicken balls is more meat than dough unlike some other places. I'm just disappointed I found this mom and pop shop only now after passing by it almost everyday the past 2 years.

I used to be very biased against Chinese take outs as they tend to be deep fried and loaded with unhealthy trans fats. Not with Wokin Express though. The dishes are prepared fresh with care just like back home in Hong Kong. There are also lot of good choices that are not deep fried. Highly recommend! Sktsoi

Just tried this place for the first time. Really good food but pretty much just take out (hence the express), but I do think they have a couple table for couples to eat there. Super friendly and polite. My family found the food tasty and the portions were a reasonable size. Definitely going to eat from here again.

Food is okay but they RARELY answer their phone. Hours posted online show that they are open for business and when you call multiple times, no answer. Either fix your posted hours or answer your phone. I won’t bother ordering from this place again, they have lost their charm over the years. Used to be fast service, fast delivery and reasonable prices. Now they are overpriced for chicken smothered in gloopy sauces and can’t be bothered to answer the phone for customers.

I am so shocked at the customer service and how rude they are at this place. Our family is vegan and my husband has celiac so when I called up to order, rather than being cooperative the person taking the order was in a rush and disconnected me asking me to call up when I am ready to order. Its just I cannot be ready to order if their website does not give Gluten free options to us. It is unbelievable how people are inconsiderate to dietary issues.

Food was hot. Friendly Owners. Lots of Seating. The guy at the cash maybe doesn't notice but he says "gimme a second" repeatedly which some might take as rude, though it doesn't seem intended that way as he is actually very kind. For a better experience at the cash maybe cut this? We will be back ! :)

Someone’s review described this as great ‘authentic Chinese’! I can only guess they mean authentic Canadian suburb Chinese because the food is bang average at best. I’ve eaten here 4-5 times over the last few years and am always fairly disappointed. If you like breaded, deep fried, bland tasting Chinese then this is the place for you. If you want something more ‘authentic’ then you’re in the wrong town!

When a business hangs up the phone on a caller, you know they have issues to iron out. Their website states they close at 9:30 on Friday's. I called in at 9:10, was told they close at 9 and when I questioned their hours which are online, the man hung up the phone. I'm not one to leave reviews but I've ordered countless times here and there won't be another order there again. Customer service at an all time low and just rude/arrogant. Get your stuff together.
