This Restaurant belongs to the category of Steak house.
Food was great service was excellent thank you you were all booked up and yet you took us in
Wonderful service and high quality meal. Celebtrated our anniversary with complimentary desert and sparkling bubbly!
Great steakhouse. My steak had a charcoal flavour which I would ordinarily avoid but my husbands porterhouse was perfect!
Very nice steakhouse, with an excellent staff. I will definitely be going back.
Great service with lots of personal attention. Best to call ahead and make a reservation. Steak is EXCELLENT! Nice wine selection. Price is up there but in the standard range for an upper end steakhouse. Would go again. Dress a little better than casual. Kid friendly but not too much to keep the little ones occupied, bring some toys!
Great service, fantastic steaks, and a warming ambiance that didn't leave me feeling jittery and unsettled. We really enjoyed our meals, and will definitely be coming back.
Quiet lunch, would have liked more atmosphere but not much you can do when it's slow. Good food and good service Loved the German beer!
Excellent food and reasonable prices for the quality. 2 of us ordered the bavette steak, one had the sesame crusted tuna and the other had pasta primavera.
great food, reasonable prices, service was A grade, will definitley dine her again
Delicious! Make a reservation if you can. Food was outstanding. Service was great. 5 stars would have been given if the waiter came around while we were eating to refill our glasses...but no biggie. The food was to good to drink anyway.
Steak was cold, service took forever, price was wrong on receipt and paying took forever as well. No complimentary bread for some reason... Others asked and got it.
Beware, they have special monthly menus that can't be combined with Costco gift cards. Lamb is delicious.
5 stars for this restaurant every day! Good staff great service
I would place this restaurant on par with The Keg in that the food is very good as is the service. Nice atmosphere and a great place to take someone special.
It's kind of a bizarre restaurant. Fine dining prices and an attempt at good service but the food was sub par and service not up to fine dining standards. The server had to read the box that the chocolate cake came in in order to know if it had sponge. I assumed that a $10 slice of chocolate cake would be made in house but maybe there's no room at the restaurant for a pastry chef. If not, I would recommend making your desserts in a commissary or a shared kitchen, etc.. The 20oz ribeye was cooked properly but the dried herbs on the steak was off-putting - though I've just never been a fan of crunching dried herbs in my mouth. I also find it hard to believe that the steak was aged in-house for 40 days like it states on their menu considering they don't even make their own desserts. Ask them if you can see their dry aging refrigerator (a specialized refrigerator holding proper temperature and humidity). It should have whole cuts of meat with tags showing dates on them and when they were put into the fridge - just look them up on Google. I find that statement on their menu pretty offensive if it's a lie (which I believe it is). If it's not a lie, please ask me back so that I can see your dry aging refrigerator or post a pic of it with all of your meats dry aging and I will remove this post. Anyway, I got the sense that they were trying to please, so the effort was appreciated, there's just room for improvement if they want to charge and sustain those prices. I'm not from the area so I don't know how long the restaurant has been in business, so if the locals like it and keep coming back just keep doing what you're doing I suppose. I wouldn't return however. My suggestions: 1. Make your own desserts 2. Improve beet salad presentation and flavor. Slicing large beets and placing them flat on a plate makes them difficult to eat, plus they were bland. Try using baby beets, quartering them and then tossing them in the vinaigrette first. The vinaigrette on the salad was pretty good. The beets were overcooked in my opinion - just a personal preference as I like a little firmness to beets. 3. Take the guests entire order when the guest is ready to order 4. Clean food off the table that has fallen off plates 5. Change linens for guests who have soiled their linens 6. Don't add dried herbs to season anything that isn't sieved before consumption. 7. Remove the "dry aging" statement. I've worked in many restaurants and have never seen one with a dry aging refrigerator that couldn't handle making their own cake for dessert. Anyway, my 2 cents. Best of luck!
Fantastic food and staff. The quality matches the prices. Locally or Ontario sourced ingredients. Everything was amazing!
Service 10/10 Food 7/10 Server was amazing. The food was good but needed a bit more love ie dressing on the beet salad, a pinch of salt with the caramelized onions. Crab stringy. Steak was cooked just like we asked. Complimentary desert was great. Thank you!
Ribeye was excellent, and our service was exceptionally great! Brock Street Brewery on tap (blonde and red) but draft beer selection could use some expanding.
Prompt, friendly service, entrees & cocktails top notch. ????????????????
First time going here. Service was excellent, and the food was even better. Will definitely be going back. George did an excellent job as our server! Kudos to the chef as well!
Excellent food and service, bright and friendly atmosphere. We came here for the first time for Whitbylicious, and were blown away by the quality and value given the discounted price tag. I had: Brock Street flight, spinach salad, pesto pasta, New York cheesecake, and cappuccino Wife had: Crombacher flight, garlic shrimp, 1/2 rack ribs, chocolate cheesecake, and cappuccino. Everything was really great! We will be telling our friends.
For the longest time, we were the only 2 customers in the restaurant. So you would have thought the service would be quick. But no, we had to wait over 10 minutes for a cocktail and a beer on tap. It was even a longer wait time from when we were done with our appetizer until our entrees arrived. During that time, only one other family sat down for dinner. Our entrees were good but no to the standards of The Keg and the cost was roughly the same amount for comparable dishes.
The service was great! Perfect for date night and/or birthday celebration. Had the soup of the day (clam chowder) and steak sandwich. Very yummy and good portion.
We came to Wildfire Steakhouse for our Anniversary and had an amazing dinner. George, our waiter was awesome and took care of us for the evening. Steaks were done to perfection and dinner was delicious. Would recommend this place. Great food and amazing staff!!
The steaks were great and the service was too. However, the cake was not what we expected. But I'd definately go back and give another dessert a try.
Beautiful dinner and great service from Shawn!
It's okay...appetizer was good ,main meal was bland but dessert was good! Service very good.
The steak was mediocre, but the service was great
The food was incredibly good! I treated my beautiful fiancée to a birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. However, their alcohol prices are out to lunch!!!! $16 for glass of wine? $12 for a Caesar???? Loved the food but I will not pay those drink prices again.
I have tried all the locations.. Oshawa location is garbage... food not worth the price...no favour...I have dined in and takeout... never again...the downtown location is ok
This was a great find! All the dishes were prepared perfectly. The calamari fritti and the broiled Cajun garlic shrimp were great and delicious starters, both cooked perfectly. The New York striploins were cooked exactly how we wanted and were so tender, they melted in your mouth! Finished off with the creme brulee which was tasty. Definitely will be returning. The service was also very good. Overall, a great find!
Great service, great food and drinks! You can't ask for anything better than when you go to a restaurant. And that is what Wildfire provides! I'm definitely coming back...when I've saved up enough money! ????????????????
The food is really great but the acoustics are awful. If you go when it's busy don't expect to hear the other end of the table.
It was alright. Very expensive. Asked for medium steak, it came out med rare...close but not what I'd expect from a steakhouse. Server was nice but brought us mashed potatoes when we specifically asked to not have any. I wouldn't go back.
I had such an AMAZING time at Wildfire. Our waiter Jamie went above and beyond the call of duty, so that we could have a memorable experience at Wildfire. She is the nicest waitress I've ever met. And the food is exceptional! I would definitely go back!
Delicious dinner. Steak cooked perfectly! Pleasant experience.
This place was terrific. I highly recommend wildfire steakhouse. We will certainly br returning.
Steak was super juicy and well cooked and our server George was the best. Very attentive to detail and extremely friendly. Lovely experience and we had an amazing dinner.
Food was great, interior was nice and relaxing. Personally I thought the portions were too small for the price you pay. Also, the phone ringer they have for the restaurant is so loud and obnoxious everyone around us thought it was a fire alarm....
Food and service was great! George provided us with fantastic service. Price was reasonable as well!
Really good Steak , good service , fair price. I enjoyed my first visit there.
The staff was friendly, the food was out of this world and I ever revisit Oshawa I will most definitely be going back. The best steak I've ever eaten!
A great place for lunch or dinner. Food is excellent, Varied and comprehensive wine list and terrific service. Certainly a go to spot in Oshawa.
Amazing food and service
Ordered a rare steak that came out medium well, they brought another steak that was properly cooked but a terrible cut, my dates lobster was not cooked and had to be sent back, they cooked it and it came back. Unfortunately we couldn't eat at the same time, we did get a free cheesecake though, so we had that going for us. The waitress was helpful but I feel like this experience was over priced for the food we got. We paid full price but left a little unhappy, will not be returning.
Very pleasant service. Awesome food! The flavors were incredible! It has been a long time since we had a restaurant meal so delicious. I don't know why we haven't stopped in here before but we will certainly be back repeatedly. Thank you to the staff at Wildfire for a wonderful meal! See you soon
We enjoyed our visit to Wildfire Steakhouse, the service and food was very good!
We had a reservation for 6 that was good but the chairs were very uncomfortable, the wait for food long and 3 of our 6 dishes had issues ribeye was half fat , my salmon was missing my chosen side, another diners french onion soup was flavorless. They did credit the soup but I just didn't want to deal with it and we ate paid left Never to return. Service good food bad.
The food was awesome and I really enjoyed the specialty drinks!
Sean was a very good waiter. The food was amazing. I definitely recommend this place 10/10
Went for our anniversary dinner and enjoyed our visit. Loved the intimate decor, music wasn't overbearing. fast, courteous service, knowledgeable staff about their wine selection. It has a slower pace then the Keg which was nice. You didn't feel rushed to eat your meal. The steaks were great, had the Filet mignon cooked to perfection, came with veggies and potatos. Overall we really enjoyed our meal. I will definately go again.
Great from start to finish. Only critique, lose the neon Open sign. It is just very out of place. Terrific staff, delicious food. Will definitely come again!
A yummy place to eat...we were there for the first time last week The food was excellent, the service was superior. The food is on the pricey side and reflects in the quality cuts of meat! We definately will be back!
awesome steak vegetables cooked to perfection entree awesome wine selection rate our server the best I've seen
Service
Amazing food and service.
Great dinner outside, weather was nice and service was friendly. Had the coconut shrimp which tasted hand breaded. Had the New York strip with truffle butter and a twice baked potato. Steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. Also had the creme Brule for dessert. Everything was tasty and delicious. Prices are very reasonable too. K
My husband and I enjoyed diner at Wikdfire on tgree occasions so I arranged far a staff Christmas party through Shawn. He went over and above! Food was fantastic! Great selection! Excellent service! Reasonably priced! Highly recomment Wildfire Steakhouse!! To top it off, Shawn followed up by contacting me a few days after the party to make sure that we were pleased with our experience :-)
Delicious food (steak was delicious) and reasonable prices! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.
Delicious food in a relaxed setting. Great service and attention.
Best steak I've had in a long time! And the garlic bread is sooo good.
Food was great as was our waiter Adam! It is a great restaurant and we will be back!
Steaks were under seasoned and mine a little under done. Other than that, not too bad
Fantastic food and service. I love coming here for special occasions!
Great food very satisfied. Only thing I was disappointed was the mashed potatoes were stiff and gummy
Delicious! Best steak ever - so tender! And the apps were a great way to start! Forgot to take a pic of the main meal - was too excited to dive in! George was the best - epic service and tended to every need! Great recommendations too! We will be back!
Nice atmosphere. Staff was attentive. The food was amazing.
Had a awesome time. Food amazing. Thanks to Scott and lindsay amazing people. Always our go to place.
Great steak house - in my opinion on par with the keg, the only thing missing is the bread
This was the first time we went to this restaurant. We ordered apps I got the escargot for $15 I got 5 tiny ones and not even any garlic bread with it . Half way through apps dinner came which was really fast . I ordered the ribs which were actually good but my finance ordered med well steak and it was so red not even near cooked . They didn’t even ask if we wanted any kind of sauce . We then tried to find the waiter which he was not around so we had to call a different waiter to help us . We finally found our waiter and complained about the steak , he came back with a $9 account in our bill she literally had two bites . We then asked for the manager as we were not happy . The manager that looked like he was no older the 25 really did not handle this well at all . He proceeded to ask us why we did not ask them to put it back on the grill and why we didn’t want a free desert omg really ! Not happy with the service and the food , but what was even worse was the manager the more he talked the more he got my fiancé upset , never will be back !
The food was excellent as was the service. However, the atmosphere was terrible. We made our reservations a week in advance for our anniversary. When we arrived we were seated in the bar area with a giant screen tv. It was very noisy because the leafs game was on and our table was so close to the next table that we actually hit elbows on 5 occasions. When I asked the hostess about the bar area seating she said they were very busy. I said that we had a reservation for our anniversary . That didn't matter because the just sat people anywhere when they arrived. I asked why we needed a reservation?. Needless to say even though the food was very good, we will NOT BE BACK! Willie and Catherine Ehmke
Fantastic food, amazing steak and Legendary customer service!
I had a very good experience here for the first time. The rib eye was cooked perfect and the mashed potatoes were excellent! The service was definately equal measure in excellence. I can't really think of any poor quality. Very pleased. Thanks!
Call themselves a steak house but have only 2 cuts on the menu. Poor quality meats, definetly not worth the price. Definetly makes me miss the Keg....
I have had many good dinners here before. This time the ribs and burgers were not amazing. I didn't eat my burger but they were very kind and supplied us a free dessert.
Great steak. Cooked just right. Friendly staff. Will go back.
Came to wildfire for my Christmas work party, and the dinner was amazing. It was a lot of fun. Would go back again for sure.
I held my bridal shower here in July. Lindsey was just amazing! She listened to everything I wanted and made it all happen! She made sure everything ran smooth that day. The staff was great! Making sure people always had drinks and were happy! The food was so good! I had so many compliments! I would highly recommend Wildfire Steakhouse Oshawa for just dinner, or to host and event too!
Wonderful New Years dinner at Wildfire! We really enjoyed our meal, perfectly cooked and presented. Our waiter (Todd) was great, very attentive and helped us out with some requirements in our order. Every friendly. The creme brulee was amazing.
There service is amazing, amazing experience food was exceptionally amazing great staff highly recommend this place.
The food and service was perfect!
M-azing and delicious! One of the best steaks I've ever had. The customer service there was also very friendly. Also got to chat with an elderly couple and they were very friendly. I highly recommend the Tomahawk Steak! I also been to the Eglinton location and had their Filet Mignon. I love it! I am a only meat eater aka carnivore and those who know me. I love me a meannn steak! And Wildfire is ???????????????????? and oh yes l, I devoured that steak!
Pricey for a not so recommendable steak... Staff is cold and insensitive...
Food was decent, but its more expensive than the Keg and the atmosphere is definitely less enjoyable. Would not go back.
We went there to try out the steak and restaurant for my good friends birthday Really mixed bag as both my wife and my lobster were not tasty, very bland so it probably was previously frozen. My steak was just ok nothing special. My wife’s lamb was good. They offered us a free dessert which was fine and appreciated. Service and feel of the restaurant was good. We won’t be going back For the price, The Keg is a way better option! No question about it. We’ve recently eaten at 3 different Kegs and each time was better than Wildfire
The ambience is fantastic and though i cant remember the name of the waiter we had, he did a wonderful job answering all questions we had and went into detail about what is in certain dishes , very knowledgeable staff . if your getting dessert try the chocolate tarte
AMAZING!!!! The steaks were on par with, maybe even a little superior to The Keg. Beautiful atmosphere and decor. Incredible service from our waiter Todd. Beautiful meal, fantastic service, no 90 minute waits like at the Keg. A fantastic alternative. I hope this restaurant sticks around!
Good waiter good food
Came here for my birthday and the dining experience was great. The menu has an extensive list of options for carnivores and herbivores and is much more than just a steakhouse. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the mushroom risotto and it was a little too salty but good. The waitress brought out a cheesecake for my birthday on the house which was a great gesture. The service was very good as well. The chocolate cheesecake was a disappointment as it wasnt very chocolatey except for the brownie base. It tasted more like a mousse cake.
Great collection of wine. Food was up to the mark. Good value for money. A no complaint fine dine.
Excellent steakhouse. Wonderful service, friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food. The whole experience is a bit warmer and more intimate than The Keg. Highly recommended!
Didn't have a reservation sat at the bar great service and great food
Highly recommend Wildfire! I recently celebrated a birthday dinner there and we couldn’t have been more happy with our experience! The staff was friendly, cocktails were tasty and our meal was delicious. If you’re looking for a break from the typical steakhouse experience, you should definitely give Wildfire a try!
Always the best Caesar salad and tasty steak. Our favourite place.
Worst restaurant experience by far. Dinner for two cost $220 on Valentine's Day. $75 per person plus an automatic 18% gratuity (we each only had 4oz of wine). Salad was served just as a whole. Literally. A romaine heart grilled with dressing and croutons thrown on top. Extremely busy atmosphere although I do know it was Valentine's Day, but the amount of times our chair were bumped into by waiters circling us like vultures trying to take our plates was ridiculous. Would never eat there again.
We have lived in the area for over 5 years and finally dropped in for lunch. Our only regret about this place is that we didn't come sooner. As regular visitors to the keg we were skeptical to try a new place but I think this is our new favorite steakhouse. Nice atmosphere, great menu, fresh and made in house, what more can you ask for? At fair market prices, this may become a regular spot. I think I wanted to try everything on the menu and may make it a personal mission to do so ;-)
Pictures dont do it justice. Wonderful space and great food. Independently owned and great alternative to the Keg
Went there for the second time last night for a meal and was once again blown away by the service and quality of food. The New York Striploin was fantastic and the Creme Brule is to die for. We will be back again soon!
My wife, father in law and myself had a small lunch here and it was absolutely delicious! It is truly a hidden gem in Oshawa and if you have never been then I suggest you go. The prices are reasonable but be sure to look at both the lunch and dinner menu if you go in the middle of the day. We did not know that until after the meal but no harm done in the end. I am looking forward to having a dinner date there with the wife again! Shout out to Allyson our waitress who was very attentive and pleasant. The ambiance was very rustic and the atmosphere was very relaxed and we felt content after our meals.
Family get to Gether (18 ) received excellent service, food outstanding and staff ( Scott, Rebecca) were very attractive to our needs. Patty the manager could not have been more helpful. Overall atmosphere great touch.
The senior hostess was rude telling her staff that my family (2 adults and 2 kids) needed to be seated in a cramped area next to the host station in an empty restaurant. When we asked to move we were presented with two options in an empty restaurant. Being next to the host station it is easy to hear how truly rude they planned to be.
We had a server named Shawn who was very attentive. He was a good listener and was able to take our order exactly as we asked. With my husband's allergy and my issues with spice. Everything was perfect! This is my new favourite restaurant! My husband also loved his meal and for him trying something new is something for him, he really enjoyed it! We highly recommend this restaurant and we definitely will be returning :)
My wife and I wanted to try a new steakhouse so we came here. The service was great and our waiter was nice and explained everything properly. I had the calamari and the New York steak. I had asked for medium rare but my steak was raw. I tried to eat what I could but it was so raw, I couldn't even cut it. I would have given this restaurant 4 stars if the food hadn't made me sick. Not sure if it was the calamari or the steak but I'm guessing 75% that it was the steak. This restaurant has scared me to utter the words 'medium rare' from now on.
Steaks were pricey and overrated. Service was good!
amazing service, some good menu items but my steak was overcooked. pricey side
Excellent service and food at this location most of the time. Steaks of course are the top choice. Chicago style is my preference. Quality drops off during special event nights. ie Valentine’s Day as they get too busy and it seems that the kitchen can’t keep up. Recommended. I will return.
Amazing atmosphere and service was great! Food that my husband and I order was soo good.
Amazing atmosphere and fantastic steaks. I would go again
No complaints, this spot is amazing! never going anywhere else for a good steak dinner. I have found my new spot.
Great food, loved the dessert most of all though.
Grilled ceaser salad with grilled chicken breast was amazing. Bacon wrapped filet mignon melted in my mouth!! Staff is awesome and so friendly My new favorite place!!
The food is constantly fresh and flavorful, staff members hands over good customer service. I really like how neat it is and ambience. Keep up the good work.
Great service from Alejandro! New York strip was done perfectly and escargot was very nice with the fresh warm bun.
Great steak cooked to perfection, mashed potatoes was awsome, nice touch with flavor...
Good. Not the best steak I've had but service was great. They have to do something about the "Open concept" of the restaurant. Perhaps layering it. Different levels to break it up a bit.
The staff are awesome, attentive and the service is very good. The food is amazing!
Food was good. Wine selection was huge but staff didn't seem to know much about it to help choose.
Good food, good service, good drinks
Went to Wildfire for my wife's birthday. First off certain things on the menu for example the Tomahawk steak were not available. Server was way to busy. Would of gotten better service at Jack Astor's. Food came out and both the wife and I were disappointed. When I made reservations the night before I was asked if we were celebrating anything special. I mentioned that it was my wife's birthday. The lady on the phone told me they'd bring out a small slice of cake. Throughout our whole dinner there was no acknowledgement from the waiter that it was her birthday. Drove 45 mins from Toronto to visit this place. Could of driven 5 minutes down the street for better food and service at The Keg.
Waiter was fantastic - he was attentive, and happy to make recommendations. Unfortunately that's the highlight of my dining experience. The food service from the kitchen is extremely slow, and the dining area was only half full. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came well done. Manager came over and agreed it was overcooked. Instead of taking my whole plate back, she took the steak and told me to keep eating the veggies. In the meantime she brought me shrimp (a nice gesture, but I don't like shrimp). The steak came out 5-10 minutes later and was cooked to medium this time. When the bill came, there was no compensation for the mistake. We brought this up and the manager decided to take 25% off my steak (a whopping $7 on a $250+ bill). You can always tell how much confidence a restaurant has in the quality of their food by how they compensate for their mistakes. Thought this would be a nice change from The Keg, but we will unfortunately not be returning.
Fantastic service followed up with even better food. I started with a soup that was AMAZING, followed up with the 10 oz filet (bacon wrapped) with their in house truffle butter that made me almost forget the soup. A fantastic dinner spot, I would highly recommend.
Bright with happy atmosphere, steaks good, not great. Service was good. Overall nice outing.
4 1/2 stars. No fractional rating, but I think the 1/2 star is accurate. Food was really good and the service was even better. From the start, there is someone to open the door for you, which might sound trivial, but is a really nice touch. It shows that if they care that much about how you are greeted, the food and the rest of the experience will be fantastic. As it was. From the outside the restaurant looks like any old strip mall eatery. Book, cover, not judging , comes to mind. Decor is kinda upscale, but you do not feel out of place in jeans. If you want to dress up, then you are comfortable as well. I liked it. Would go back. Am recommending.
We've been coming here since it first opened. Really good selection of cuts of steak, and plenty of other options for those looking for other meats/fish. The food is always flavourful and delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. The wait staff are attentive and friendly too. The desserts here are amazing, especially the cakes and the creme brulee.
I have dined here multiple times, and the service never ceases to impress. With a wonderful staff and excellent food, I would definitely say this is a much better option comparatively to the chain restaurants like the Keg.
Great service. Great food. Downside, some parts of room too dark. Unable to read menu clearly.
My experience was exceptional. Our server was Shawn he was engaging and doing his best. The overall service there was a bit overbearing at times but I rather overbearing than nonexistent. Also, I can understand during these times you want repeat business; we’ll definitely be back. I got the NY 12oz and my girlfriend got the salmon and soup. My steak was good and my girlfriend enjoyed the salmon. I just moved to Durham so I can appreciate a new spot right next door. Great job guys.
Our favorite restaurant for fine dining!! Staff is very friendly and overly concerned with ensuring that our dining experience is nothing short of the BEST!!! We're so going back there!!!
Finally, a true steak house to rival the Keg! So glad we decided to try this restaurant for our 10th anniversary. The food was amazing! The service was excellent! The atmosphere is relaxed. I can't recommend Wildfire enough. You can also get a good deal by buying gift cards from the local Costco. Again, try Wildfire, you won't be disappointed.
The time I spent there for my uncles birthday was an amazing experience. We had a party of 30 with only one of us who was vegan. The servers were very kind and knowledgeable when it came to explaining what they could do for the one guest to make sure they had a good experience with well made food. They explained how things would be done before we all ordered our food. Once we recieved our food it all tasted amazing. Nothing wrong with the food at all and it was good sized portions as well. Everyone in our party left with large smiles on their faces, none of us regretted what we ordered. I will for sure recommend this restaurant to many others if they ask for any good restaurants to go to.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I felt the steaks didn't merit the price though. Great selection of beers, liquors and an ok selection of wine.
Great service great staff great food!!!
Staff and food is amazing, however the price is about the same as the keg, so keep that in mind, but well worth it
Very good food and service. It would be good if they had booths.
The filet was just okay. needs to be seasoned. the lobster tail was barely 3 oz overcooked and rubbery the mashed potatoes very lumpy
Nice steak dinner with friends on a cool Tuesday night. Very pleasant and attentive staff.
George was a great waiter. Very helpful to my uncle Keith, who's 79 this year and hard of hearing. Top Mark's!!
I ordered a cranberry soda and got a cranberry juice. My steak sandwich was delicious but they over cooked my daughters steak and she had to send it back. The second steak was cooked better but was so seasoned with pepper that it was all you could taste. It was just the two of us and the restaurant was pretty empty so I don't know why they got our order wrong. Our server was very nice, and my daughter did get a free dessert out of it.
First and last time there. We had a group of 28 who were dissatisfied with the service. We had two rude servers and were rushed out without being offered coffee or tea after dinner. I would not recommend them.
Typically I don't go out for dinner but my parents wanted to take me to this Wildfire Steakhouse and it was in town so I thought I'd try it. It was fantastic! A nice lady greeted me at the front, had my water filled as soon as it hit the halfway mark, asked for a filet mignon 10 oz cooked medium (pinkish)it was so thick it was incredible that the chef cooked this thick steak perfectly, had a pillow for lumbar support on the bench seat (lol but great), the food smells so good I forgot to take a pic until halfway through, garlic mashed potato was very good, vegetables was the only thing they needed to work on I really like good fresh vegetables, even when I asked to go to the bathroom she just didn't point me to somewhere in the bar she showed me the way over to where the bathroom actually is and it was very clean. I would give it a 4.5 for the mid grade vegetables but there is no half stars and 5 because the most interesting and most professional thing that I observed which I hadn't noticed servers doing at any other restaurant was that it looked like when the food is ready to come out all the waiters help each other - only when the foods coming out they all bring the food out at once so everybody gets served and nobody's left sitting there not eating - the plates were really hot it seemed they keep it very warm so that they can serve this all at once and then they all continue off to their their designated tables. It was quite remarkable, things looked like they were flowing very smoothly. Not sure if it was just the competent staff on the night of Dec. 5 th. The atmosphere is very pleasent and I still will not be going out to dinner much but I will return again to this restaurant to have another awesome time. Fantastic team work, well done!
Really enjoyed our experience the grilled ceaser is amazing the steaks are full of flavor and made with care the staff always make you feel welcome
This place is always great and the servers are wonderful. They have great steaks and the ceasar salad is amazing. They grill a whole stock of romaine and then cut it in half, then add the toppings on. They have Brock St brews on tap and a great selection of wines as well. The setting is cozy and modern and they usually have some housey jazz playing over the speakers at a comfortable level.
Recently went on a spree eating at a few of the "Nicer" places in Oshawa (Harpo's, Keg, Shrimp Cocktail, etc.). Let me tell you this place is amazing for atmosphere alone, definitely fancy feeling and a great place for a date. Definitely the atmosphere you want for a "night out". Staff was quick and polite, informational and ensured everything was great. Place was a bit packed but we didn't have reservations so that's on us. Get reservations if you can! Regardless we were seated right away. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread. It was really good but not $10 for 4 pieces good. From there came our entrees - my girlfriend got the Filet Mignon, myself the New York Strip. Fair portion sizes but we both ordered medium rare but both got rare. We both eat rare so it's not a huge deal but both were undercooked. Like I said, we both will eat rare so they were still wonderful steaks. I had lobster, it was good as well, and then we had dessert. Carrot cake - was great. Oh, and the wine selection is HUGE. I'd have given it 5 stars but the pricey garlic bread and the undercooked steak sets it back a star. Don't get me wrong, don't let this deter you from eating here. It's a great place. Just order it cooked a bit further than you actually want and try a different entree. Presentation was great. I'll be returning again in the future, it's well worth it.
We were seated @ 5:55. By 6:25 still no drink order taken, even though 15 minutes before, she had asked what we wanted to drink but we weren't ready then. When she finally DID come she just asked if we had decided on our meals. After she had taken our meal orders, only then did she asked about drinks again. Had the full rack of ribs, it was ok, nothing remarkable. Can't remember what my daughter had, but she said her meal was ok too.
Had an excellent time with wonderful food, attentive wait staff and the very best Crème brûlée you will ever have.
First off service was incredible. I wish i could say the same about the 20oz ribeye i ordered and the 20 oz porterhouse the wife ordered but i definitely had better steak. my primerib was over charred and it was really over-powering the whole steak. We also ordered drinks which were good and the lobster tail we ordered as addons were good also. Maybe i came in with too high expectations as we frequent ruth chris and Jacob's on our special occasions. Wildfire was close by and convenient. Again. Service was amazing and my tip reflected that but the steaks just weren't that good to me.
Friendly staff, great food, and sanitary eating conditions.
Fantastic from the time we walked in to the time we left. All of our meals were cooked to order, our water glasses were never empty, although we couldn't see the smiles on their faces the staff all were very pleasant. Sandra was the best server we've had in some time. Thx Wildfire for making my birthday dinner a pleasant one, see ya soon.
Overall great food and dining experience. Took a while to get food delivered to the table, an hour and half to be exact. Also, dress warm if planning to go in the winter, because it gets chilly every time people enter or leave the restaurant.
Had a great time, Shawn was very friendly
Mediocre! Good service, nice place, high prices, steak was nothing special. Had better steak from my butcher!
Amazing food and amazing service, really enjoyed the outside patio. Our server, Adam, was awesome, the whole staff is so nice. The chef did a wonderful job on the charcuterie.!
Went with my husband for dinner yesterday, and what a great place! Beautiful and cozy with tasteful decoration. The food is absolutely delicious (I had the tenderloin fetuccini and the cheesecake, both mouthwatering, and my husband had the haddock and the Creme brûlée, also amazing). Excellent service, good price and not loud. Loved it and will definitely come back!
With an atmosphere much like the Keg, don't ask for your steak to be done to your liking. A medium is almost well, a medium rare is just over medium. Five of our seven had a steak in some form well overdone. One of our party had tenderloin fettuccine and it was less than tender. Chewy perhaps. Such a disappointment as it was a very special celebration. The staff also reminded me of my ex mother in law who removed plates even before the last bite could be eaten. As a slow eater I felt anxious to rush my meal. The restaurant had very few customers so rushing us off rendered the place almost empty.

It's always a great experience at Wildfire! Great steak, great food, great staff. Puts a smile on my face everytime!
Went to this restaurant twice. On both occasions, the service and food has been great. Steaks have been cooked perfectly as ordered. Pricing is comparable to the Keg, however, you're getting more bang for your buck at Wildfire. Another benefit is the ability to make reservations on Fridays and Saturdays, unlike the Keg.
Thank you for a wonderful Mother's Day dinner. Besides the great three course meal, the Mother's Day card was such a personal touch. Much appreciated. Also excellent pick up service.
Update. Just went tonight. Meal was very nice this time. Average. Steak undercooked. Pretty bland. Not a fan of the ambience. Very open concept. The Keg is a better option in my opinion.
Great Caesar salad, albeit a little different. Tender ribs. Incredible calamari. Everything impressed me. Thanks.
The ambiance is nice, and I like the touch with the wine bottles along the wall. However, the food was fairly average at above-average prices. Unfortunately, the filet mignon lacked a bit of flavor. It was cooked to medium rare and the texture was nice. The cheesecake was pretty good.
The steak was unreal and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Not to mention the sides where very well thought out and cooked as well, I think I remember them not being super exciting options for sides but they tasted great and anyways your their for the beef!
We had a wonderful meal at the wildfire Steakhouse! 8 oz steak was cooked to perfection! Cooked just the way we liked it. Grilled Caesar Salad was Delicious! Coffee was awesome! Our waiter George was fantastic! Thank you! Went for our 18th Wedding Anniversary :-)
Delish food, wonderful drinks and atmosphere, a perfect place to celebrate!
The special was really special a slow roasted beef short rib was so tender and flavorful. My spouse had the Salmon with rice and she loved it as well. Top this off with a lovely bottle of wine with fine conversation and service. No need to really go anywhere else to dine out. Thanks for another feel like we are at home evening with the staff and management here
Ordered top sirloin medium rare with a Chicago charr. Blue cheese sauce. Great spot. Servers very motivated and provide great service.
Reserved a table for a date night with my wife. Asked for a quiet table for two. We were placed between two tables of four on either side of us. The restaurant gets full and it’s definitely not quiet. Our waiter was wonderful and the reason for any stars on this review. He was friendly and attentive. The food was mediocre at best. My wife had the French Onion soup to start and she was under-whelmed at best. My steak was over cooked. Although it’s a chain restaurant I would have preferred The Keg for a nice steak. Nice try, but won’t be returning.
Meal type
Love the Pre Fix menu, great price for having an app and dessert included !

Absolutely top shelf business. Had a striploin and filet.both cooked to perfection. French onion soup n garlic bread delightful. Expensive but worth it. Definitely better than the keg. Meat quality amazing
Really good food. A little slow with service, thus the missing star.
Don't order the "bavette" Flank steak (bavette in french) is certainly my favorite piece of beef. When I seen "Bavette" on the menu I ordered it right away. I was served an extremely salty steak. I had it nicely replaced and asked for no salt at all. Again it was extremely salty., like eating a pork jarret demi-sel,. A horrible experience! When I said it was liked marinated, he waitress told me she believed it was. The manager came and told me it was my fault because it was written on the menu that the bavette "a Quebec favorite" was "marinated". She offered me something else but I was already disgusted, choked, and not willing anything from there anymore. After that we were almost ignored by the waitress. Of course I had to pay for the dish despite I did not touch it. Did the Chef ever tried this dish? Did the Chef ever tried a bavette, from aged beef, rare cooked, just grilled with no-frills? How does he/she dare serve an over-salty-marinated steak so badly tasting and call it bavette? This was a horrible experience with the food and in the way we were treated in the restaurant One star because the wine was good. Don't eat there!
Delicious! Perfectly cooked, well timed, great dessert.
Food at Wildfire Steakhouse is awsome! They cook the steak the way you want and it comes to the table hot and juicy. The staff know their stuff and is very friendly. If you go to Costco first you can buy a card that will save you money. Well worth the price for the main course and starters. To me dessert is expensive, other than that try Wildfire Steakhouse and I am sure you will walk out satisfied and full!
We were curious to see what it was. The place is very open and bright, colourful. They have a very extensive wine selection from moderate to high-end price point. My wife and I both ordered the NY steak, though they do offer the standard choices of NY, Tenderloin, Rib, Top Sirloin and Porterhouse. The steakes were cooked perfect and very tender. The plate was presented in a simple layout of steak and veg and potatoes. Nothing fancy but delicious. Our friendly waitress was accommodating since it was our 1st time. Nice alternative to a more popular brand name steak house.
First time eating at this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Nice and clean! I ordered the haddock and was very pleased with it. My cousin had the sirloin steak, which she just loves. Bon appetit!!????????????????????
The staff were absolutely lovely. Can't thank them enough for their service. The food was just good. And for the cost I was hoping amazing.
Beautifully decorated upscale restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. The prices are on the high side but the flavors of the food are mouthwateringly delicious! If you were thinking of going to a different well known steakhouse, don't bother; go to Wildfire and you will never go to a different steakhouse again!
Decent place. Above average. Steak was okay, nothing to write home about. Probably won't return as you can get better quality elsewhere at these prices, but a decent experience.
Great food and a gorgeous atmosphere! Our waitress was so sweet and very accommodating, as well as provided our delicious food in a very timely manner! The portion sizes were fantastic and very filling. They also provided a dessert on the house for my boyfriends birthday! A very nice treat! :)
Amazing food, great service and great atmosphere! Our server George was very personable, friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable evening!
Brian our sever was great, the right amount of attention, very friendly, a pleasure to chat with. My steak, rare was perfect. The wasabi potatoes where incredible. I could have made a meal of them alone.
Went to Wildfire for my birthday expecting a fantastic steak dinner.....not so much! Although, we were seated right away on a Thursday night, our party of seven. ....... Staff was super attentive, the food though left something to be desired. Always in search of a great Steakhouse, I think I'll keep searching as my rib steak which was close to $40 was fatty and tough.
Lovely staff and great food. Good social distancing practices
Great restaurant! I highly recommend this place as a steak and bbq lover that I am... The staff is the best they are very knowledgeable of the menu and meat.
I’m not 100 percent satisfied with this establishment. It was a long day and we were looking forward to a nice meal on a patio. The beer (old flame red) never disappoints. That got a star . The service was friendly and pleasant. That got a star The food …one star (we ordered pripri chicken and the chicken combo plate )considering the total of our bill … I feel it shouldn’t have been served raw raw. We both ordered chicken and both our meals were served under-cooked. Considering I was starving … this was not a good introduction a new customer. They re-cooked our food. (Supposed to be spicy). It was not spicy at all and overly salted … I’ll drink lots of water to rehydrate ! The server presented us the bill, no apologies, No compensation, no visit from management. (Remembers- not one but two meals undercooked.!! If you’re going to under cook anything - make it a steak !!) Oh - and whoever told me this place is like the KEG … nope. Not even close. I won’t be returning. And won’t recommend
Good steak, nice atmosphere, a large wine selection and friendly waiting staff. I personally enjoy the Keg more and find Wildfire to be more expensive then the Keg
Had a great experience, staff were friendly and the food was amazing! The carrot cake was good but i feel like they were stingy on the slice
What more can you ask for, great service and great food. Thanks George for being outstanding, we'll be back!
Never going back. Go to the keg across the street . Better customer service.. better food
The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The wine selection from across the globe was amazing. The food was delicious and the service exceptional. A high five to George our server that evening. He truly made the evening an experience to remember. ????❤????
Best service and surely best steaks (rib steak to be specific). Would recommend the soups too. Never failed so far. Had a not-so-good experience at the yonge and Eglinton location. However, the Oshawa location has never failed so far.
Our server Shaun was very thorough and efficient. Food was great. Would definitely come back.
Have now been to Wildfire 5-6 times. Always had a good meal but my latest visit was definitely the best yet. I plumped for their chuck / sirloin burger and fries. It was absolutely amazing. Washed it down with a few glasses of their house beer (can’t remember the game but it was a German beer). Superb lunch. Highly recommend!
We were seated right away. Food was okay - drinks were diluted, and underwhelmed with the food. We ordered the coconut shimp (good), french onion soup (barely any broth - all bread) and the mixed grilled plate (fries were dry, chicken dry, ribs were okay).
Great food, but service was stiff and not very welcome.
Food was amazing and service was exceptional. Ambiance was delightful, great place for a fancy dinner
very disappointed not only with the food but with the service as well. We went there for an anniversary dinner, and our server not only was rude but barely spoke to us all night. It was not a good night. Next time I will BBQ up steaks from Walmart, at least the quality will be what I expect. You do not get your money's worth.... never going back...
Very neat and accessible spot. They serve big portions and for affordable rates. We loved the menu very much and the staff members were very affable and informative. Highly recommended.
We went here for my father's birthday - the food was good; the service was okay. Their policy is fairly strange - they will refuse to let you enter if you're wearing a hat here, yet people are allowed to come in and dine with screaming and loud children. We sat for the last half hour listening to 2 screaming and yelling children seated behind us - they would do nothing about it. We didn't pay over $200 for 3 people to listen to that all night, so we left. Other high-end restaurants likethis have and would at least speak with the table and ensure it quiets down, or they'd be told to leave.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff enjoyed our meal and cocktails very much
Excellent service, great food. Comfortable atmosphere, great for a dinner date, but also a good place for a nice family dinner.
Had the peri chicken and ribs, it was delicious. I don't come here often, but I always appreciate the excellent service and wine selection.
This was such a disappointment. I have heard so many good reviews and had been looking forward to finally trying this restaurant with a friend. So so disappointed. Sat on the patio near the entrance unfortunately but a table of two that’s where it was. We were told upon arrival that we have one and half hours which is fine and which we were both prepared for this. What we weren’t prepared for is the constant reminder of that. Every time they brought out something to us we were reminded and every time we told them we understand. I had the strip loin and asked for a baked potato. Steak was not a consistent cook some areas more done then others I asked for medium rare. From the time we sat and are and left we were here a total of 50 minutes while being watched and judged when the table would become free. We both were uncomfortable my girlfriend steak was all grizzled. For a girls night out after so long was so disappointed no appetizer no desert one drink my bill for steak and potato and tip $90 dollars so definitely not worth it. The disappointment was real.
The prix fix menu was a nice value. Calamari was very fresh. Very good service. Will return some day.
It was good . Surprised they don't carry prime rib. Steak was good but difficult to cook a 12 ounce steak that is largish in diameter to medium rare. If I were they, I'd cook thicker smaller steaks. It was good though. Nice atmosphere
Had a fabulous lunch with family celebrating a second grandchild on the way. The food is excellent with vegan and gluten free options and the staff go the extra mile. I thank the staff for the celebration cheese cake, it was awesome!
Great service, my wife and I went there for our anniversary dinner and got a very nice cheesecake
Went for dinner last night with my wife. Upon arrival was asked to wait for a couple of minutes for our table although our reservation was for 8pm and it was already 5 mins after 8. Once seated we where approached by our waiter who advised us of our option for the evening. We then decided to go with the calamri for our app and my wife had a glass of wine. I then also decided to have a Cesar and this is where it got weird. I asked for a Cesar and received a salad??? I then told our waiter it was incorrect I wanted the drink not the salad. "Ok no problem sir I will fix that" well let's just say it's now Saturday and I still have not gotten my Cesar. Our meal took almost half hour to 45 minutes to come well after our appetizer. Then when we where almost done eating our waiter then asked if i ever got my Cesar I then told him NO it was never received. He was very apologetic and also offered to get it for me, which I then told him it was too late. He then offered me and my wife a complementary desert which was a great offer on his part. Hints the reason for my 4 star rating.
It was an ok experience. Nothing about the place or food or service blew me away. I'd rather go to The Keg.
Finally, Toronto Dining in Oshawa!!! A steakhouse where you can actually see your meal !! I've enjoyed lunches and dinners here each time and the wine list is outstanding ! Steaks are really great ! I keep coming back !
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. WORST STEAK OF MY LIFE. It had no flavour, none, not even salt. It was cooked poorly, no good sear on the outside. I forced 2 bites down and almost gagged at the texture with no taste, it was the worst food experience of my life. We decided to eat here for our anniversary and it was such a waste. Should have just stuck with the keg or made it myself. Do yourself a favour and do the same. Super disappointed.
I got the larger portion of ribeye, medium rare, Chicago style. The size was good but there wasn't a lot of flavour or seasoning. This was the worst of my 5 visits.
Excellent steak house. Good atmosphere. Waiter was superb in his duties!
Was there for my wife’s birthday. 16 people, 9 separate bills, 5 different dietary requirements. The service was outstanding. Every meal came out at once, no mistakes and an exceptional quality. Thank you so much for making it such a memorable experience!!
Great service, well cooked food! Jaime was a great help
Food was awesome
Great for special occasions. Was warned not to go if on a tight budget; definitely a bit pricier than say, The Keg...but food and service are far superior. Great rustic modern ambience. House cabernet was lovely. Enjoyed our appetizers of Escargot Provencal and Broiled Cajun Shrimp. I ordered the 8 oz NY striploin and it was a perfect medium; hubby's a perfect med-rare. Garlic mashed potatoes were great, and entree had the standard seasonal veg, being carrots, parsnips & kale. Other veg are offered. We shared a side of mushrooms...yummy. Peeked at the dessert menu as it was our first visit; was curious to see their offerings. So tempted! But explained to awesome server Renee that I had leftover birthday cake waiting at home and requested bill. She surprised me a few minutes later with a complimentary Happy Birthday cheesecake with sparkler. Lovelt touch to a superb meal. Total bill with drinks and tip was under $200. We enjoyed Wildfire very much and have plans to return for our anniversary.
After such a long absence we had a delicious dinner at Wildfire Steakhouse. I had the salmon with potatoes, asparagus and pinot grigio. Our server was Jaime. She was fabulous! We will go back soon!
Food was good for the price I paid with my wife. $114.00 later but as service and covid measures I wasn't impressed when there wait staff did not provide plates for our appetizers nor did they acknowledge to place my steak knife on a plate or napkin. The put the knife on a patio table where numerous people have sat before me. Coming from a background of family restaurants and banquet halls since I was 10years old formal hospitality edicat was not trained by there staff. Also the way wine was introduced to table....first things first wine is never presented to the female...unfortunately that's the rules even in today's world. And you don't move on to the next guest you finish filling the wine tasters glass and move on to the next. Wine training 101.....Also not to mention when water is filled as a courtesy to a guest it was a complete waste when you refill the glass when your guest pays the bill. Waste of water because I never drank it...if canada was Africa we would have a problem with water supply
My partner and I went here to celebrate a great day for the company and first off; they were crazy nice and amazing to deal with!! Niel was the bartender (where we sat) and he killed it. Got us everything we needed before we even knew we needed it. Recommended the best wine and was quick and super great to have serve us! The manager Lindsay was so kind and courteous we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience! We definitely will visit again!!
Made reservations a week ago. Last night we attended. They put us in the worst seat in the house. Almost in a wind tunnel. I noticed vacant seats. I asked that we move to them. The hostess said no because they were reserved for another party an hour later. I asked how the tables were reserved she replied "fist come first served" I said well I'm here first so let me have a better table, her mind malfunctioned and she still insisted that we couldn't have better seats. So we left.
Had my Xmas family dinner at Wildfire Steakhouse in Oshawa. Wow???? I wish I had known this place sooner. Try their cheese cake ???? too
The steakhouse deserves every one of its five stars the food is top-notch the prices are fair for a quality restaurant and the staff was very friendly an accommodating. They also had some very unique items on the menu and their way of preparing the items such as their warm Caesar salad was just great
Apps, main and dessert were all very tasty. Service was quick and friendly (George). Would recommend and will visit again.
Very poor quality food! We went for a birthday, they asked if it was a special occasion and we said what it was for but they didn’t do anything remotely special. Not sure why they asked. Steak was mediocre at best, kale salad was all the stocks, gross for a $50 plate dinner! Overall a poor experience.
I have only been twice, once in peak hours, and once in off hours. The peak hour visit was understandably a bit delayed and we had a large table. There was only one mishap in the bill at the end that took three attempts to fix. Poor kid. Non peak visit was with my wife and we enjoyed it. Management seemed a bit aloof and standoffish but the Server was phenomenal. Will return when we complete our move to Oshawa
Here for our anniversary! Great food. Great service. Wildfire Cesar Salad is a must!
My partner and I dined here few months ago. We were seated quickly. Drinks were served. The interiors of this restaurant really classy must say ????. We had ordered Beef Tacos and Nee York Steak. The steak was cooked perfectly according to our preference and the Beef Tacos were finger licking delicious. Loved everything about their food. And for the dessert we had to try their Wildfire Creme Brûlée. Dessert ended yummm. It was a little expensive, but it was worth the experience. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for quiet and classy lunch or dinner. ????????
Excellent dinner and cozy atmosphere. Enjoyed our time spent.
Went here for our anniversary dinner and it was absolutely amazing. Food was delicious, atmosphere was warm and welcoming and our server Rachel made our experience a 10/10. She was very accommodating and quick to clear plates, top up drinks, etc. She was very helpful in selecting options off the menu and answered all of our many questions without any hesitation. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a nice spot to celebrate any sort of special occasion, or to enjoy an excellent meal!
The food was great but the server was not helpful or personable at all making the service very stuffy. Customer service should always comes first,
Came here with all the staff from my office. A wide range of food can be ordered here. Many of us ordered the Calamari Fritti and the Rib eye. Simply amazing. The place is also very clean and the atmosphere is amazing. Our waitress was also amazing and funny. She really kept up with us. Overall, the experience here is nothing but great and I look forward to returning to Wildfire Steakhouse soon.
Had a fantastic evening here last Friday night. Got seated in the upper level to accommodate our party of seven, which was actually an upgrade in my opinion. Our server Todd was quite attentive the whole evening. He graciously took back a cocktail I didn't enjoy, (the Hey Becky), and replaced it with the mind-blowing LYCHEE GIMLET. ???????????? I got the 7 oz filet with garlic mashed and vegetables. The potatoes were my favourite on the plate. The steak was cooked to my specifications but not seasoned quite enough for my liking. And the vegetables were 'fine'/OK. But that gimlet! It is a MUST!! Unfortunately I can't remember our servers name outside, but he was fantastic as well. I would definitely love to return here as soon as I get the chance.
The nicest staff. Great quality steaks. Really good wine list. Never had a bad experience here.
Decor needs serious updating. Steak was ok...met expectation. Server was really good. She made the night and the food better.
Had the 12oz strip loin. Done medium well to order. Portions accompanying the meat could be a little larger. Overall would go back.
Great service during the COVID times. Staff more than helpful and accommodating.
Friendly but fairly clueless waiter served us at what OpenTable had seemed to indicate would be Mother's Day brunch, but turned out just to be a regular service that opened a little earlier than usual. They mixed up our kid's order, got confused about the specials & accidentally double charged us for our kids' drinks. Their seared scallops were tasty, and they have a very good grilled caesar salad, but it's served on way to small a plate to be able to comfortably carve it up. The kids noodles were bland, and the wrong order was brought out for our other child. They made good on their mistakes and comped us two appetizers, but this wasn't what we had in mind when we headed out for a Mother's Day meal.
Great ambiance, great steaks, very prfessional service... Very pricey but worth it for a special occasion
The steak is fantastic and so is the ragu. The staff is very friendly. But it all stops right there. WATCH YOUR BILL! There is an expected and billed 18% gratuity/tip !! They say this is their "policy" , which is ABSOLITELY RUDE! I think they need to Google the definition of a tip. The customer decides based on performance what the tip is, if any. At this place it's BILLED , hidden right next to the taxes on the bottom of your bill and it doesn't even explain what the charge is on the bill! Then if you tip cash on top of the bill they don't tell you that you already paid an 18% tip! They just take your money! Management told us it's explained when reservations are made. We were never told. They said its on the website, its not. Great food, just scammers ! We wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for the food. The food was excellent!
I don’t know how people in this area can afford fresh stake, only working professionals like me should be able to afford it, and nobody knows more about stake than me
The BEST caesar salad I have ever had. Fantastic steak as well.
Service was painfully slow. Only 4 tables seated when we were there and 3 servers working. It's one thing to give the customers space but this was extreme and when we tried to get our servers attention she seemed more interested in chatting with the other staff. Food was bland and over priced for what we got. Won't be returning.
Thank you for a fantastic experience! We were very impressed with our first time there. Very relaxed enjoyable atmosphere. Our waiter Zeffer was very knowledgeable and friendly and treated us very well. We both ordered steak dinner and it was fantastic. No complaints at all. Will be back!
Ordered the rib eye and new york striploin, and was blown away! Cooked to perfection! Well done chef!????????????????????????well definitely be back! And they seal their plastic bags for delivery which keeps the food hot and protected. Very smart! Thanks!
Meal type
Awesome food! Great Service! What else can you ask for.
Great food and service! Went for my birthday and dessert came out with a sparkler and complimentary champagne! The Caesar was one of the best I've ever had! Highly recommend the ribs - delicious!!
Good steaks; mine was a bit under cooked but tasted great.
Your looking at an average price of $30-$40 per person depending on what you're ordering obviously. I had the Centre Cut Top Sirloin - probably the best steak I've had in over 5 years. Service was great and food was amazing. Will be returning for sure!
Ceasar salad and tomato bacon soup were delicious. Service was excellent.
My meal was horrific. My full rack pork ribs were tarnished and the fries half-raw refried in old oil. After a few bites of the ribs, I thought I'd give them a sniff as something seemed off and sure enough they were rotting. Two hours later, my poor tummy and bum were backflipping at the shitimpics. Apart from the meal, they serve can pops with your meal in half size champagne glasses for $3.25 and they are non-bottomless. By and large, other competitive reputable charge between the said $3.25 and $3.99 for BOTTOMLESS Large drinks. Anywhoosy, next time all our customary restaurants are fully booked, we will settle for a bottle of horrible Aquafina water. Guarantees we won't have marathon shitshows????????????
Great atmosphere and amazing food. Tastes so much better than the other steakhouses. They treat you like family there!
Delicious Food and big portions , complimentary dessert was a lovely touch also have to mention the friendly staff we had a great experience !!
We had an awful experience at this restaurant. We really wanted to enjoy this establishment as it is relatively close to home and we very much love similar local steakhouses, however the quality is no where on par with restaurants such as the Keg. The New York Striploin is very overpriced as an 8 ounce (seemed smaller) is the exact same price as a 12 ounce New York served at the Keg, and is in nowhere the same league in terms of its quality. My steak was full of gristle and fat and was strangely chewy for a supposed triple A medium rare Steak. My wife's Striploin, which was requested at a medium temperature was quite obvious under cooked at a rare at best. The garlic mashed potatoes appeared to be portioned and then microwaved as they had a hard firm outer textured and then a dry and tasteless interior; no where near a creamy whipped garlic mashed that I would have expected at a steakhouse. I by no means mind paying for a quality meal at a good steakhouse however after paying for our very high priced dinner at this restaurant I literally felt sick. As i mentioned previously the Steak and following side portions were very small, so much so, that we went for an appetizer at the Keg afterward in order to feel better about our unfortunate experience. The bartender at the keg was so gracious after hearing our story that she offered us a complementary Dessert, such Class. Will never return to the Wildfire Steakhouse again.
Over rated. Very pricey menu.
Excellent service and food. Seared Ahi tuna. Bacon wrapped fillet mignon. Beet salad .
As always the food quality was great however, the ambiance has changed. Not as many young ones on the floor filling water etc. Although I was impressed when I gave a young man pepper signal and he got it. Looks Like we all arrived at once and hence stacked everything up. We’ll be watching this - big bucks requires some high service.
Our server Shawn was excellent. Very attentive and he has a wonderful personality. Of our two meals one steak was cooked perfectly but the other was slightly overdone. Overall Shawn made it a great experience.
Fantastic restaurant! Excellent service, excellent food, excellent drinks. Everything you expect from a premium location, for a reasonable price. We had the filet mignon, cooked perfectly and generously portioned with all the fixings. Its not the keg, its better. The only thing you would be missing from the keg would be the dim lighting and secluded booths. Perfect for a date night, birthday, business meeting or any occasion.
Great experience tonight. Shawn gave us great and personal service. Knew his products very well and made sure we were well looked after
One * because the wine and beer was great, we ordered a mixed green salad for $11 it was only lettuce and 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half, steak dinner with loaded baked patatoe, looked like they just slapped sour cream on top with a couple green onion, peppercorn butter with no peppercorns, it was extremely and very loud couldn't here each other talk ,I think it was busy because the wait of The Keg was to long reason why we went to Wildfire restaurant for the first time ,and it will be the last.
Best meal I've had in a while.. Next time in town I'll be back!
Great place in Durham Region to have a nice quality streak dinner, with good drinks and a nice wine list selection. Service was very friendly!
First time trying there for dinner. Absolutely great experience. Food was amazing. And Our waitress was super skilled and friendly. We liked all of her suggestions and attentiveness--Thanks Jamiey! Def. Would defiantly recommend.
Just had a terrible experience and meal at Wildfire, Oshawa. I invited a friend to try it and she couldn't eat her lobster, it was so overcooked. She was not offer options of sides, til she asked for a baked potato. I asked for a Caesar salad and added steak and shrimp skewer (my meal). Steak was half grizzled, was sliced and I asked for it not to be. And shrimp arrived a good 5 minutes after meal in a bowl. I guess that's why it was $2 more! We arrived at 5 pm with reservations, were told 1 1/2 hour limit. We were rushed with ordering, rushed with delivery of food 5 :36 pm, and Bill 6:05 pm, all while being told not to rush. Very disappointing introduction to this restaurant for my friend.
Had a great evening, grandsons birthday. George the waiter was perfect for this occasion. He was super attentive and very helpful with all that we needed. Great time. Thank you to George and the staff celebrating my grandsons birthday. Will come back and recommend them to family and friends. Cheers ???? Jose
We have visited here several times over the past few years. Usually for special events. We celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary last week and returned. Fabulous as usual. Food was fantastic, service was exceptional and we even had a mini wine tasting with the owner who was very generous with his knowledge of wines and the restaurant business. I want to try and get in another couple of visits before we have another lockdown because it's such a great treat and the prices are more than reasonable.
Always a great meal at Wildfire. Steaks are the main reason we keep going back. 12 oz striploin for my husband and 7 oz filet for me. What a great evening! Easy online booking on their website.????????????????
Went here for the very first time, for our Anniversary in July, with my Best Friend, who recommended it to us. When we ordered a bottle of sparkling, & told our server that it was for our Anniversary, she gave us all our first glass on her. The food was fantastic.
Good food. Nice ambience.
We ate there for first time and was awesome.
Great tasting seasoning on steak
Excellent experience at Wildfire Steakhouse on Saturday night. Our Server, Abdul, was exceptional - friendly, funny, attentive, top notch service! The owner, Jody, took the time to visit our table (2 times) to check in & ensure his guests were enjoying the evening. Our food was incredible & the dessert did not disappoint. I highly recommend Wildfire!!! Thank you to the wonderful staff - amazing night out!!
Very nice Food. Great Atmosphere. Saw some negative reviews. Didn't bother. Some people will always complain. Both the head chef a lager. Please support your local businesses.
Good service and tasty food. One of the better restaurants in Oshawa. The only issue was with making reservations on Open table. Anything over table for two is a problem. And at the end after dining there my resignation was cancelled. Not sure what's happening with that.
Birthday dinner with four people. Seating (with reservation), was immediate. Very friendly greeting and prompt service. Had their back rib dinner with a baked potato and it was terrific. If I have had better ribs, I don't remember when. Cheesy bread was also great. It is not a romantic layout, but rather, bright and friendly. A little pricey, but the food is worth it. Will definitely return.
I love this place. The food is amazing. I think the prices are great for the service food and ambience.. Definitely a diamond in Oshawa!
My husband and I received a gift card to here for Christmas and decided to use it last night. At first we were a little disappointed to learn we could not use our gift cards for their half price wine deal but we just got a glass each instead which was fine. We decided to order a large rib eye and split it, which turned out to be a perfect size to share. When we first received the steak and cut it to share we noticed it was extremely undercooked. We had ordered a medium rare chicago style steak and it was definitely more rare, almost blue. We showed it to our waitress who apologized and immediately offered to have it regrilled. Normally I do not like when a steakhouse just throws an undercooked steak back on the grill as it's an easy way to overcook and dry out the steak but we decided to allow them to try to fix it. Once the waitress left to return our steak to the kitchen the manager came over and apologized and offered to bring fresh sides with out steak once its cooked properly. My husband and I were both very impreased with this gesture. We were actually just on vacation a week ago and had the same issue at a world famous steak house. They severally undercooked my steak and were not nearly as eager to fix it. The server at this restaurant told me "mistakes happen" and never once apologized. Yes, mistakes due happen, and this is the way to fix them. We didn't mind at all waiting for the steak to be fixed and once it came it was great! It was a little more medium than medium rare but it was still juicy and delicious! The sides here are also fantastic. Their mashed potatoes were sooooo good. Somehow after we ate everything we still had room for dessert. My husband got the creme brulee while I got their chocolate brownie cheesecake. The creme brulee was actually the real winner here. One of the best we've had! My husband and I were very impressed that this restaurant turned around a negative experience into a positive one. Our server was also very knowledgable and friendly. We will absolutely be coming back and I'll be getting about 4 servings of their potatoes!
What can I say, my wife and I have past this place time and time again and we decided to give it a try tonight. Everything exceeded our expectations. Between George's hospitality, knowledge, personality and attention that he gave us and Sean's knowledge of the restaurant and personality as well, we had an amazing date night. I would totally recommend this place..... George usually works Fridays.
The first server to seerve us was condescending and impatient, wouldn't even take time to site the tea list to a 75 year old birthday girl. When we complained about an order the restaurant got wrong, instead of working with us to help correct the order, the server just passed us on to the manager who thankfully assigned us a competent and pleasant server. The food was mediocre, the calamari was tough, the lamb was dry, and we've had better ribs at the local watering hole.
Great food as always! The experience level was below par , think Todd was more interested in watching the hockey game then paying attention to his customers!!!
Our server Shawn was awesome!!!
Second time there but this time with a group of 10 people. Long waits inbetween each coarse. Steak was not great for my 3 guests and our bills were incorrect. They were quite accommodating on the surprise dinner i had plan and how i would like it to play out. The waiter Scott was very pleasant and nice. But not certain if myself or our guests will be visiting there again.
Great environment, service was slow, had to ask multiple times for my drink and hot sauce, the steak was good but it was more well done than I asked for, I may give this place one more shot.
My first time dining here was pretty disappointing. Food was mediocre. Serving sizes small considering the price. Ordered the Bacon, Brie and Brussels burger which looked huge and delicious on the website. What was delivered looked more like a Wendy's burger lol. Weird little dried out bun. Bacon not even visible. My date had the mixed grill - fairly plain chicken breast and meh ribs. Our waiter apologized for how slow the service was. A very nice Valentine's date was had, despite the underwhelming food and slow service. Most likely would not return or recommend.
The food was spectacular. Miss the card for celebrating our anniversary, it was a nice touch that we got before.
Went fot wife's birthday. Service was good and meal was amazing. Server was very attentive.
Great food and atmosphere. Professional and courteous staff. They never make you feel rushed. Their signature Cesar is outstanding. Try it if you like it spicy.
Great food, great friendly staff. Fantastic wine list
George did a great job, thanks and keep up the great work.
Always a great place to eat! Our last visit was amazing, our waitress Lindsey K made the night even better! Good drinks, good food, good atmosphere and great staff!!!
My wife and I just had a great experience tonight at Wildfire Oshawa The food was superb we each had the filet done to perfection The meal was served by Jamie with trainee Brittany Couldn't have asked for any better . Thank you . The beer Jamie picked was great also .
Service
I've loved Wildfire in the past but was a little nervous about doing a pickup order. Ordered the meal for 2 tonight and it was absolutely delicious. Every bit as good as if I had ordered it in the restaurant. Generous servings and the steak was done to perfection.. medium. What a treat. :)
We love this restaurant and hate that they are forced to takeout once again. We had a wonderful meal from them for my husbands birthday. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection. I have two suggestions relating to takeout. If meals …
Service was excellent. Dinner was not only delicious but beautifully presented. He At wine and drink choices. Definitely would recommend and go back!
Wildfire never disappoints. It's our go-to place for birthdays, anniversaries and date nights. Service is consistently excellent. needs met in a timely manner, and we're never rushed. Food is always incredible. In all the years we've come here we have no complaints about any food or beverage. Try the Hey Becky cocktail. Facilities are beautiful and well-licated. Recently met the owner who is incredible. Truly wants feedback and to make your experience wonderful. Thank you again for a wonderful night.
Cons: Steak had to be from no frills...they have no idea how to ‘Chicago’ a steak...almost didn’t want to pay for the meal...pros: there was an available table.
GLUTEN FREE GOODNESS!!! Staff is well versed in the menu to help you navigate any allergies. The menu also identifies gluten free options. Lots of free steak add-ons which make this a great spot when you are looking for delicious steak, good wine and a beautiful time with friends/family. Money well spent for a great meal. They also do takeout and are on skip the dishes!
At Wildfire for Birthday celebrations. First meal out as a family in more than 2 years and it did not disappoint. Food amazing, wine recommendations on point and server George could not have been more attentive. Thank you for making it a special night and one our family will look back on with many fond memories.
Dined here 2 years ago and was VERY unimpressed with both service and food. Went again in December to give the benefit of the doubt ... and we were again completely disappointed. Will never go again! Our friends too also agree ... terrible. Word of mouth is the best advertising.
Wildfire is one of our favourite restaurants! We come here for all of our larger dinner parties. Tonight we celebrated my sister’s 45th birthday and our server Sean was so great to us. Highly recommend!
Great servers. Staff is what makes the visit stand out. The steak is great and so is the patio.
Excellent food and service. It's pricey so its not a place I would go regularly but I'll go back again for sure.
The truffle aioli was amazing. Food is cooked perfectly and usually a winterlicious or summerfest is deal is going on which allows for an affordable appetizer entre and dessert!
From the starter to dessert it was amazing! The best steak I have had in a long time!
Great menu and the food is amazing. I'm never disappointed.
Incredible service and great food. Would definitely go back.
This is the only location that doesn't except Groupon deals. Why? Don't know. Gone here many many times and used Groupon before. We payed 177 for four meals on Groupon, and couldn't use it. The best we got was a gift card. That 177 will cover 2, maybe 3 meals. Very disappointed.
I ordered from the Valentine's Day fixed menu, and was not only disappointed in the food but also the customer service. The picture I'm posting was supposed to be a medium cooked filet mignon. Parts of the side weren't even charred let alone cooked. I sent a picture by email and called to ask for either a refund or another steak. On the phone they told me they recieved my photo and to put it in a microwave and it would be fine. I told them that I don't think I will be microwaving a raw steak. They then scoffed at me, told me they were busy, and said they would add me to a list so they could reach out to me the following day to find a solution. I've since sent two follow up emails but haven't heard anything back. After paying almost $150 for a nice dinner, I think it's safe to say I expected a little more.
My wife and I along with my brother and his wife they were celabrating their 39th anniversary. Our meals were excellent, they treated all of us to a glass of champagne. The food and service are outstanding. Make sure you make a reservation, that way you won't be disappointed. 5 stars +
Very nice inside. Nice waiters/employees. Really good food and prices for what I ordered. Thanks.
I got some food for takeout as I received a gift certificate, for the amount of food you get the prices are highway robbery, and the food itself I found very bad, now the front end staff was very nice, but personally I would never go again
Dinner
The restaurant is great, however do not use their online services for buying any kind of deal or promotion. It is run by a third party by the name of Zuluaga Marketing. I was charged three times when purchasing one item. It has been nothing but a huge hassle getting my money refunded. Terrible customer service.
it was really good! definitely a special occasion kind of restaurant though, just a bit pricey. other than that great service, amazing food and the restaurant is gorgeous!
They took away the gluten free chocolate tort! That was my fave. Other than that it's better than the keg. If they had the GF tort still or better dessert options I would give them 5 stars
Visited last night and food was terrible. No seasoning on salad and with almost no dressing. Main course was a disaster. Stake was burn . Ravioli was bland . Very disappointed......
Amazing service and food was great! Will definitely be coming back
Alejandro gave my friend and I excellent service. Food was great and customer service was superb. Glad we made the stop, was worth our time.
This place is obviously one of the most pleasant restaurants in the neighborhood. Always when I go there I am deeply glad. They manage their high level service and the highest level of meals they offer. You definitely will enjoy this this restaurant. Warmly recommended.
**Update*** Manager, Patti, who sounded genuinely upset in regards to our experience, reached out and gave us the opportunity to bring my family back to receive a proper Wildfire Steakhouse Oshawa experience. She ensured us that this was an anomaly, so I am looking forward to having my wife, daughter and parents back for my mom's birthday ****** We decided to hold our parents 50th wedding anniversary in the "party" room, however the entire experience was truly disappointing. Our "hostess and main server, seemed almost inconvenienced from the get go and when it came to the kids, she was truly rude and callus. The male server was just a little more interested. And this was supposedly their senior staff. Everyone at one point or another during the evening mentioned how poor the service was. Which for a 50th wedding anniversary where we had family and friends come from varying distances for this special occasion was quite upsetting. The room was booked until 6:30 and we got our bills at 6:27 exactly, and by just after 6:40 rearranging all the chairs and tables before the entire group (filled with seniors) could even get out if the room. We even had to manoeuvre our way around staff and tables to get the presents and balloons out of the room. To add for the salt to the wound, the gratuity was added after taxes. So suffice to say for a special occasion such as a 50th wedding anniversary it wasn't such a special venue.
Great steak, a little pricey but much better than The Keg.
My son took me here for Mother's day ordered my steak medium well cut into it and it was bleeding never offered to take it back or replace for what I had ordered payed bill and left our plates never going back
I work here. I wouldn't if it wasn't the best steak I've tried to date. Staff is awesome and friendly. Food is delicious. Reasonable pricing! A gem in the heart of Oshawa.
Great atmosphere and food
Had a great time here with my fiancee. The atmosphere was relaxed but luxurious, which i didn't expect. The staff were really respectful, helpful, and humble. Melissa helped us with some amazing food suggestions when we felt lost. The food here was fantastic overall. Since i am generally not someone who always eats steaks, I am so glad i tried it here because it was definitely made very well. Also..managed to convert a creme brulee hater to a creme brulee fan. Thanks Melissa! Definitely would rather go here than any mainstream steakhouse out there
Food is amazing and well flavored cooked to perfection! The service is A1,the greeters and waiters go over and above to make sure you are happy!Wildfire oshawa deserves a 5star rating!
First time finally visiting. The steak was out of this world. Cooked to my perfection. Our server was amazing and attentive and ensured our experience was the best. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. Compliments to the chef. Compliments to the manager who came to our table to not only see how we were enjoying our meal but engaged in conversation and took away the empty plates as well. Compliments to the entire staff there was never an empty plate left on the table or an empty glass of water. I cannot return to the Keg or any other second rated steak house ever again!
Had such a good experience there with my girlfriend last year that I decided to work there! And it's the best job I've ever had!!!
ordered a caesar and without explaining the waitress served a VIP drink at $13. My friend then ordered the same and was given the standard caesar at $9. Then the difference was explained but I was still billed for the VIP. We waited at least 20 minutes to pay after we received our bills. Food very good, service poor.
Worst dining experience ever. 6 of us went there for dinner. I ordered a porterhouse steak medium well which is $53.00. One of my friends also ordered a porterhouse medium. The waiter came back three time and asked one of my friends what he had ordered. Also his appetizer came of 15 minutes after everybody had theirs. I started eating my steak and it was very rare but I never complain in restaurants so i kept eating. I got half way through the steak and it was actually bleu. I admit I had 3/4 of it eaten but it was turning my stomach. It was very stringy and hard to cut. Finally i say to the waiter I can't eat this its raw. I said I don't think you should charge me for this. He says he will talk to the manager and see what she says. After 15 minutes I asked him what she said because he acted like nothing happened. He then says she said you ate the whole think so it couldn't be that bad. I said are you kidding me bring the steak back out theres at least a couple of inches left around the bone. After he said that I was a little ticked off. When you pay $53 bucks for a steak you never leave the best part of the meat on it. He said the steak was gone and he walked away. I asked him again if she was coming out and he said she was pretty busy. She finally came over to the table when on of my friends complained that he had a charge of an extra meal on his bill. They billed him and his wife for three meals. She still didn't even acknowledge that I was ever there. Finally I said so what about my steak. She said we gave you 25 percent off of the steak but you ordered it medium rare anyway. I said absolutely not and all my friends agreed I ordered it medium well. I asked her where was the steak and she said I have it in the back. I said can you bring it back out so we can look at it and discuss how its cooked. The then said I was warned about you and that's why I didn't want to come over here. Them she walks away and says I don't have time for this. I don't know if she was that bad a manager or if it was the waiter trying to deflect his incompetence back on us but I will surely never go to a wildfire steakhouse again.
We went for a date night. Service was fast and friendly. Pricing was average for the great quality of food. Atmosphere was wonderful. We have no complaints about our first experience here and will definitely come back for another date night.
Very average experience. Not worth the high price
Probably the top steakhouse in the area but definitely don't compare it to your top tier Toronto steakhouses. A huge bonus that I went on a day where they have half price wine bottles and one that has quite a large selection.
Great food. Great service. Only complaint were the people standing directly behind me yelling to the bartender what they wanted for drinks. They were in my space and it was VERY annoying.
The staff at Wildfire Steakhouse are very knowledgeable under food and wine and great atmosphere. The GM which her name is Patty makes you feel like you're part of the wildfire family thank you to Patty and the staff
Great atmosphere, great good, and the prices aren't as bad as you think they would be.
The food isn’t great . The worst part is the host who doesn’t wear a mask comes right up to each table as close as possible . Would not eat there again . The food is pretty bad and they need to wear masks like everyone else . Including the young man and the owner .
Staff are super friendly and helpful, I was expecting the food to have more flavor, the steak was cooked perfectly, but I would have liked some seasoning on it . ( could have been my fault for not asking ) . I will go back for sure and try a different meal.
Friendly staff, great food, nice atmosphere!
Very good food and filling. I will definitely come back again
Their food is amazing!!! I had the seafood pasta (yummy) and my partner had the haddock with garlic mashed (skins were left on)Both meals were so good and we shared. Now what I refuse to share is their signature Creme Brûlée! Every man for himself with this desert. It lived up to its reputation.
Food was excellent. Service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend Wildfire. Get the mashed potatoes ????
Steak is excellent. Best filet around. Dessert is a joke portion for a wallet-gouging 9 bucks a slice. Expected cake slices in line with Symposium or Demetri for the price. Decent wine selection.
Went there a few weeks ago on a friday night without reservations. Had no isaues. Outstanding food and service! Best Veal marsala i have ever had! Rachel our server was amazing too! Cant wait to go back!
Many visits over the last year and perfect food and service for us. Management is great and our servers fine with steak always cooked to perfection
The staff run like a well oiled machine! Had an issue that rwas esolved professionally and honestly. The food was generous and tasty, the steaks were bang on. Pleasantly surprised to see them so busy. Feels good to be saying this about a struggling industry during the 20/21 S*@# show.
Service
My party of four were all happy with every aspect of our time at Wildfire. Apps and drinks were enjoyable, dinner was amazing (they get every seafood offered spot on). Sean brought our coffee’s nice and hot and was quick to top them up. In fact Sean was the best server we have had since finding Wildfire.
Glad to see this place is open for curbside pickup! Their website is very easy to order from, which is awesome considering its only been up for a week or so. I had my order set for 5:15 pickup and saw about ten other cars waiting for pickup. Mine came out around 25 minutes later, which considering that they have an unprecedented situation to deal with, is completely understandable. The staff kept me updated on my order and kept apologizing for the delay, which again was understandable. When I got home, the food was hot, fresh and delicious. I will definitely be ordering again from there soon!
Steak was great, not enough selection especially for children and the garlic mashed potatoes were gross
3rd visit and it will be our last. Extremely slow service for a 1/2 empty restaurant, the soup was excellent but really over salted, my steak was cooked to order but dry and they brought the Birthday girl a dessert with a sparkler on top when they presented the bill and after we had already had coffee/tea/dessert. We had to ask for our water to be topped up and the lovely bread arrived at the same time as the starters. Overall, a poor effort based on price. Back to the Keg we go.
Great special on the menu. Attentive service. Delicious steak.
Excellent service and food was on point. A little pricey, but good for a special occasion.
Save your money and go to the keg. We had a reservation for 10. With 10 people you aren't allowed to order from the menu, they have a preset menu, which is fine as it makes things easier for the kitchen staff. But some of us had Costco gift certificates which you cannot use. In the fine print it says it cannot be combined with any other offer. The waitress explained that our chosen menu was an offer, really??? The waitress was grumpy and rude. She even informed us at the end of the meal (after waiting 30+ minutes for the bills) that it was a mandatory 18% tip for groups of 10 and proceeded by hovering over as each one of us paid and pressed on the machine keypad to make sure we did the 18% right. At which point I personally didn't want to tip at all because of the way she acted. This place gets 2 stars instead of 1 because the ceasar salad was unique, nothing more. The steak or vegetables wasn't anything special, you could get a better steak from the keg and I don't even like the keg. For 2 people with 1 drink each and the mandatory 18% tip it came to just over $200. Enjoy!
Cheap place to have dinner. Definitely not the keg steak. Ceasar cocktail was awesome.
We have been there twice in the last month, the second time hoping for a better experience. The patio is a wonderfully quiet place made so with all the planters and flowers keeping road noise to a minimum. During our first visit he waiter was spectacular and very attentive. My wife and I both ordered the same steaks asking for medium rare. It wasn't until I was half way through my meal I realized my wife wasn't eating her steak. It was literally cooked blue!!! She is not one to send anything back and insisted we just leave. The second time we ordered the same steaks again and again they weren't even close to being cooked the same and both were VERY undercooked. Neither time was the restaurant particularly busy. For the price you pay and being a steak house I would expect at least the steaks to be cooked properly. Dont think we will be back anytime soon!!
Food was very good and beautifully presented. Our server was wonderful.
Great food, loved the look of the restaurant not a huge fan of the seating.
I brought my best friend to celebrate her getting a new job and we got amazing service. The food was delicious and we didn’t feel rushed.
Great meal really enjoyed the steak. Laura was fantastic really made our evening. Thank you again Laura :)
Been here before and always enjoyed it. Tonight's dinner was superb. One of us had ribs and the other had Ahi Tuna...both outstanding and our server, Laura, made dinner very special!!! The owner stopped by to make sure all was well (it was) and to chat briefly! We'll be back!
Wonderful food, and great staff. It was our first time There!! Can't wait to return!!
We have been to the Toronto location and loved it and expected the same at this location but it was a terrible experiance . We were there for Mother's day and we were a group of 7. The service was slow and our server was extremley rude and seemed like she hated her job. The food was terrible tasting. I would not recommend this location to anyone I know. Go to the Keg instead better food and much better service .
Went for a meal after 5 months and they did not disappoint everything was perfect !!! service and food ! would have put up pics of starters but did not get a chance looked soo good ! will definitely be coming back again !
I've been to this location a few times since it opened. Something has changed in the past year. Service was slow, the food was cold in some cases. I've had much better experiences in the past when dinning at this location.
Went last night. We had a reservation for 630, arrived at 620 and never got a table until 655. So a 35 minute wait for a reserved table. Service was SLOWWWWWW. The servers are obviously brand new with little experience and it shows. If you order anything, even a water, expect a long wait, or to not get it at all. Now, the food: Appetizers of coconut shrimp and garlic bread were good. Rib eye was OK. The flavor was good but i was a little tough considering prices there. They got my sides wrong. I eventually got the right side, on a side dish, 15 minutes after my meal came. Drinks: I ordered 2 Crown Royal and cokes. The drinks came in 6 oz glasses with ice, leaving about 4 oz of space in the glass for fluid. Therefore the drink should be fairly strong at a 3 to 1 mix. Well, I could not taste the whiskey, almost at all. Not a chance was there a full shot of whiskey in my drinks. At 15 bucks a drink, there SHOULD be. This all cost me 200 bucks for 2 of us. Would I go again ? No. There are FAR better steakhouses around. Maybe I have been spoiled by Berc's in Peterborough, where, for the same price, you get a far better meal, far better drinks, a far better atmosphere, far better service, and better value for your hard earned money. I'll drive the 75 km to Peterborough for a steak before going back to Wildfire, and I only live 2 km from Wildfire. It is HIGHLY over rated, and I suspect those high ratings come from people that don't get out much.
I dined at Wildfire Steakhouse in Oshawa a couple of years ago and everything was excellent. My most recent experience was very disappointing. We were celebrating our anniversary and made a reservation but were not seated until half an hour later. We ordered wine, an app, and 2 entrees. We weren't served our app and instead, the entrees came out surprisingly fast. Our server said the app would be right out but we declined as we already had our meals. My steak came out well done and I realized that we hadn't even been asked how we wanted it cooked. I like a medium rare so I told our server and they said they would make me another. By the time my steak came, my spouse had already finished and my steak was blue. At that point I didn't bother saying anything. We weren't offered any discount. For a supposed high-end restaurant, I feel let down by the poor service.
Excellent food, good service. A little pricey and it was fairly noisy the night we were there.
Presentation and atmosphere is nice. However, steak was undercooked and and extremely peppery. Dessert was a big miss as well. Was hoping to see some higher quality food/cooking at this restaurant, but you'll find much better value at places like Chuck's roadhouse. This falls short of the Keg and Baton Rouge quite immensely and these are not even top notch steakhouses either.
Dine in
This was quite possibly the best steak I have ever had in my life! Our waiter was friendly and very knowledgable about the menu and the food was fantastic with large portions too. I will call them before I call the keg ever again!
Food good and service safe and excellent. Location and parking convenient
Delicious food and a nice fancy environment along with friendly staff.
Great service, amazing food. Even went the extra mile on my wife's birthday.
Great place fof supper the food was great and george our server was excellent.
Good customer service and nice food.
Been here a few times .. food is excellent and customer service is top notch .. we celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary!!
Amazing service, fantastic food, great pricing. 100% recommended
Food and service was fantastic. George our server was amazing. Will go back again and again.
Great service and excellent food. Been there twice now, great both times
Excellent meal and friendly staff. Highly recommend for upscale dining.
The 18% tip for groups more than 8 have to GO.. we had 1 waitress for 10 people. I got my water refilled once, and the tip for 2 adults and 2 children was 50$ on a 260$ bill. The tip for the total table was 400$ for 10 ppl..Again we had horrible service and was forced to pay the 18%. 4hrs from start to finish. Food came out slow, service was horrible.
Food was fantastic but service was a little slow and be prepared to spend at least 50 a person.
Called Wildfire Steakhouse for last minute bday dinner after leaving a disappointed menu selection at a waterfront restaurant in Pickering and Wildfire gladly accommodated. Sandra was outstanding, friendly, and made me a surprise bday drink and gave me a surprise bday dessert. The food was amazing, family agreed calamari and spinach dip were best we ever had! Music on the patio and very relaxed atmosphere. Well done!!!
Awesome steak dinners, pricy but delicious! Come give it a try! :)
Nearby Oshawa Mall for convenience if you are shopping and feel like having a good meal. Suggestion: a BRUNCH BUFFET would be nice, but make the price reasonable so more families can try it
went here for a date night. place was clean and very spaceious. all items we ordeded were fantastic. only issue was we sort of felt rushed since there was a 1.5 hr seating limit. would definitly go back for more.
Thank you Shawn for your amazing service! You were great to converse with and an amazing server you were very attentive! Will definitely be back!
The steak, ribs and mushroom sauce were fantastic! Vegetables were meh. Staff were excellent! This restaurant, for the price point, was rather loud, and could use some sound-absorbing features to allow for better conversation volume within the tables. All of the glasses had a LOT of lint in them (assumably from drying?) Also noted that the men's urinals can be seen when the door was opened. With some minor changes, my rating would be 5 stars.
We went here last night during the big snow storm so the place was less crowded. We found the atmosphere to be nice and the openness of the space is nice. I think this could of been a 4 star, but my concern is around the waitress. She insisted on a drink order prior to telling any specials, never asked for our app order, took the main course order, then ran back to the kitchen to hold our dinner order do she could get the app in. By the time my fish dinner came it was dead to the heat lamp. The main thing was that the waitress only seamed to speak to my girlfriend, as if I did not exist. This sucked for me, we went here for my birthday and I left feeling second class. At the end of the meal we asked for the coffee menu. She brought us one menu, handed directly to my date, waited for her to make a choice, I thought she was going to hand me the menu, instead she marched of and placed my girlfriends order and did not come back. So rude.
Went with three hungry children and grandma, waitor Was polite however, our meal took almost two hours to come due to there being a large party we where all but ignored. We put a rush order on the kids food and ordered before the adults ordered appetizers, we asked for water with lemon and that took a half hour with no lemon, after the first hour the appetizers came, still moving for kids. We finish apatizers and where contemplating just leaving and taking kids to east side Mario's but though how much longer could it take? The kids are hungry let's wait, so we ordered our meals and wait another hour for everyone's food to arrive. We typically tip very well but the lack of service made us unable to feel right leaving more than 15%, the waiter seemed annoyed by this....We will never and have not been back since. This was a while ago I've been meaning to write this review since.
Good Food Great sercice. We will be back
Service was Great! Food was Amazing! And they even slipped us a delightful dessert to finish the experience! 2 thumbs up!
Very nice ambiance and the staff were friendly. The food was well prepared, but I found the steak had a strong charcoal flavour to it and I am not a fan of that style. As a result I actually preferred the vegetables over the steak. Overall a bit pricey but not bad. If you like Chicago style or Philadelphia style steaks then this is definitely the place for you.
fantastic from the reservation to the execution! We made a Rez for 530 and found ourselves ready to eat earlier. One quick call and it was all set up. Sat down, fast service and a great meal! We were in and out in under 40 minutes and the meal cooked to perfection!Found my new local steakhouse. Good job.
Excellent! We were a group of 6 plus a baby on a Thursday night at the Oshawa location. The service was excellent! From the moment we came in, the hostess was extremely helpful with the sitting options for the baby. The food was awesome. The steaks are big and delicious. The wine and the atmosphere were perfect too. Even the manager came by to make sure we were fine. I highly recommend it, I can't wait to go back again.
I ordered a grilled salmon for $28.00!! It was not worth it. The taste was awful and the portion was very small. I expected much better from this restaurant. I will not recommend this to ANYONE!
I’m only giving this restaurant two stars because the server was very friendly. The food was terrible. The twice baked potato looks like something like 10 year old would come out of the kitchen with the vegetables had no flavour the peppercorn sauce was a complete failure and the steak wasn’t cooked properly. The quality of the steak was good however. I’m sorry but I will be returning and I hate to say it but the other steak chain restaurants in the same neighbourhood are better
Discovered this gem last year and haven't looked back towards the "other" steakhouse since. Amazing food. Attentive courteous service from caring staff who remember you. Super quaint atmosphere with an upscale feel. Great date night or celebratory option.
Service was EXTREMELY SLOW! Ordered a Steak done Blue. Came medium rare. There is A BIG difference and a Qualified Chef in an establishment such as this, should KNOW the difference! Granted, Christmas Time is a busy Season but this is not the First Christmas ever and a Established, Respectable Business should ALWAYS be PREPARED for such a time! For a bill of$400.00+Gratuity for six People should have been a Nicer Experience! Only two People had alcohol, one drink each.
Ordered dinner last Saturday for take out. The steaks were cooked exactly how we asked them to be. The on-line ordering texted me when my meal was being prepared and when it was finished and ready for pick up! Will definitely order from them again during lock down and dine in once we are allowed to.
Very over priced for the quality we received (in food + service)
Perfect from start to finish. We were seated right in time and at a very nice quiet area of the restaurant. The server was very friendly and was available when we needed him yet not intrusive. The food was perfection. We’ll be back again soon. Excellent food and service every time. Even just popping in to the bar area for drinks and appetizers. Excellent service greeted at the door with a smile very elegant place to eat.Steak was cooked well and the kale salad superb!
Just had the New York Sirloin special for pick up and it was awesome. Great friendly service on the phone and during pick up. Will definitely be doing it again soon. Thank uou
George was our server tonight and was absolutely immaculate!!! Definitely coming back soon, the food was excellent!
Definitely an experience not to be missed. Easily the BEST steak and salad I have EVER tried. I had the good fortune to be served by Brian who made a few recommendations with food and drink to ensure my experience at Wildfire's was the best it could possibly be. Very reasonable prices, first class service and insanely good food. Do yourself a favour and check this place out especially New York Striploin steak with Caesar salad. Will DEFINITELY be coming back.
Wild Fire is a nice atmosphere. However, the food was subpar to say the least; the chicken I ordered was extremely dry and tasteless. Portion sizes were small. Our server came over and told us the next table had arrived 12 minutes early and we had to pack up so he could seat them. My girl friend was in the washroom at this time with a full cocktail on the table that cost $12 and had to leave it behind after paying for it. My other friend still had his full slice of desert and wasn't even offered a to-go box for it so that was also left behind. Very disappointing experience to say the least.
Great food! The steak was yummy and the so was the lobster. The martini I found to be a bit pricey and it tastes just the same as any smaller restaurant chain.
Came here after a long time, had a fritti and salmon it was delicious will soon come to try other dishes.
a great place for a relaxing meal with amazing food and service. Our hostess Melissa was perfect and made our evening memorable.
Amazing food. Really yummy steaks. Maybe even better then the keg.
Went there for their Valentines day dinner. The food was fantastic. They kept bringing us hors d'oevres on the house. The service was great as well. They opened the door for us when we came in and left, and also took our coats and checked them for us. Best Caesar drink I've ever had as well. Would go back for sure.
Perfectly cooked steak. Great service. Desserts were incredible. We really enjoyed our experience.
George was excellent! Very attentive and certainly made us feel like he was genuinely wanting to ensure we had a great evening out. The steak and scallops were perfectly cooked. The kids chicken fingers was a massive portion and done well also. The meal and service did not disappoint.
Dinner
Steak was overdone and very overdue. Staff was friendly but not overly interested in the plight of the customer. I won't be back.
The staff were terrific. We didn't have a reservation which is normal that you do. Went out of their way to make room for us. All three meals were amazing, cooked to perfection and served in a timely fashion. Thanks for a Wonderful experience to all the staff. So nice to find a restaurant that takes pride in what the do
Nice venue, great service.......excellent Steak! Recommend this place if you're looking for a well prepared meal!
George are service was amazing
We have been a number of times to Wildfire and enjoyed ourselves. Its in a bit of a tricky location to see and access if just driving by, due to the one-way street system. It is well worth circling back to if you pass it. The staff are great the food is great and the wines are...yes...great. That might not be particularly descriptive or helpful, but it is our experience in a nutshell. Brian, Sean, Sharik (sp?), others whose names escape me, are all well trained in courteous service. Patty manages the staff so well that they have achieved a level of balance between professionalism and personability that is hard to match anywhere. The steaks are always done to perfection: I order mine "Pittsburgh" style. The sides are remarkably fresh with great consistency.
Made our Mother's Day meal like we were at the restaurant. Strip Loin, Calamari, mushrooms, etc. Cooked to perfection. (Better to pick up yourself, instead of waiting to be delivered).
Very intimate and quiet setting. Staff was friendly and helpful Food was excellent, and reasonable price. Went on a Wednesday night, was not busy One negative, is seating, no booths and all tables have an open concept But over all its a great restaurant
Found the food to be excellent although pricey. The hostess was not very friendly but our server was lovely. Very casual atmosphere but good food. We will certainly be back.
Wonderful meal and excellent service. Steak, ribs and seafood were all excellent. Thanks Sean for great service and thanks for accommodating dietary needs with a special dessert. We will definitely be back!
We just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary tonight at Wildfire Steakhouse in Oshawa Ont. This is our 6th visit there, and it's our go to place when we come visit from London Ont. We come because of the wonderful food and the Great service from ALL who work there. Special thanks to Justin! ALSO, Thank you for the Anniversary card and best wishes everyone!! Jim and Tammy
Good steak and ribs … friendly owner as well
In fairness, we should have made reservations, but when we arrived we were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table. An hour and a half later, we are still waiting. At least be honest and say it is a 2 hour wait for a table.
Went for a Birthday Dinner. Food left a lot to be desired. Rib steak at 35.00 should not have to be chased around the plate at medium rare in order to cut. The waitress said in response to my remark. "Well it does have lots of marbling" My husband ordered special with rib steak and shrimp skewer and a lobster tail. He was not able to cut or eat most of his steak. Shrimp was fine but I warned him ahead of time not to order lobster in Oshawa. The waitress was lovely and went out of her way to be helpful. The manager came by a couple of times. Polite and did give us a free dessert but all in all I was disappointed in the meal. I wanted to go somewhere local but should have stuck with the Keg.
Been a few times now and although they started out ok the first couple of visits, the food is lacking and everything else has followed suit since. We were last in a couple weeks ago for dinner with some family. Two of us ordered the beef short ribs which were recommended to us by the server. Despite our plates being full when the server returned to clear the table and the two of us voicing our disappointment nothing was done to rectify the situation. Another person in our party ordered the salmon with the glazed on the side and it was brought to her with the glaze on the fish to which the server shrugged and sort of laughed it off. Again, nothing was done. Shame. We were really hoping for a new spot in town to frequent.
Atmosphere and food equally amazing! Cant wait for next time!!
Food was good but very tiny portions. Cheap on the veggies. Wish I took a photo but there were about 6 string beans about 2mm thin....if that...seasoned with some spice thy you'd find in indian dishes and were roughly 3-4" long. The potato was supposed to be the works, there were 7 chives, a tiny strip, yes strip like a string line of sour cream 2" long. I was not impressed. The plate could've held 3x the food, the plate almost looked bare. My ribs were great! Only thing I liked. But their prices are ridiculous for the portions
I was expecting far more from this restaurant. It wasn't my first visit, but it was my first evening visit. We had reservations, but we were still given possibly the worst table in the place: a small table in the bar that directly faced the front door so that everyone saw you as they entered... Not my idea of a good table! It was a birthday celebration and a $20 discount and complimentary dessert was offered, so that was a fantastic bonus! Score a big win for Wildfire! Our usual steak go-to is The Keg, but we are open to be wowed by other restaurants. We were not! The prices were similar but the experience was easily subpar, as was the food. No bread was offered, and it was sorely missed! The steak was fine, but definitely not as tasty. I had the tarragon potatoes and I really disliked them very much. Apparently I hate tarragon. Who knew? The veggies offered were very good. All in all, it was a good meal, but NOT as good as The Keg, so I don't think we will be returning for steak. We really expected to like it better... Need to add that the restaurant was SO uncomfortably loud that I went home with a sore throat from trying to make myself heard. The floor was hard and did not absorb any of the noise of the very noisy people in the bar. Perhaps, had we been seated in the other part of the restaurant it would have been quieter - I can't say.
Great food! One of the best steak I ever had. The service was great and kids friendly! I will definitely visit it again!
Had a great birthday party last night! We were treated so well . Food was great . We look forward to a return visit.
The Steak was probably the best I have ever had, and the staff were very kind, and the atmosphere was amazing.
Dine in
Thank you Shawn for making our night a little more special!!! Food was amazing
Been here more than enough times. Usually like the food & atmosphere. However, this last time was a different experience. We had booked our reservation like everyone else. The meal was 'ok' but not the fastest coming out.....so although we booked our time, ordered our food in a timely manner, had drinks & 3 courses.......we were being 'politely' asked to leave at the 2 hour mark. As far as I'm concerned....the restaurant did a very poor job of booking their reservations and neither myself nor the group I was with will be hurry back to this restaurant. Disappointing.
Sever was very mice and know very well about wine,if you want to have good recommendation should ask????
Server was great, but food was very slow coming. The place was busy and felt understaffed.
Thank you Sean....food and service was wonderful
We went to celebrate my husband's birthday July 26th we were a group of 7.The food was fantastic we all loved it and our waiter(Todd R)was great. We love the service. Thanks to all the staff you rock ????
Very mixed feelings. We were here a few days ago for lunch. We've been here many times before, mostly for lunch, and almost always been very pleased. We've especially enjoyed the cheesy bread appetizer which suddenly and sadly, seems to have disappeared from the menu. The rest of the menu has been transformed too. The 3 course option has disappeared, replaced by a 2 option lunch menu for the very reasonable price of 9.95. We each received a different lunch menu. When we queried that, the one that had at least 2 items we both would have ordered was snatched away. The menu left behind didn't appeal so we each ordered a burger which we used to think of as the best burger anywhere. Succulent good quality beef cooked with great care and respect served on a good bun with lettuce tomato and cheese bbq sauce and onions and wonderful fries made from real potatoes. Sweet potatoe fries used to be available as a reasonably priced substitution. This time we were stunned to find the substitute fries are now half again the price of the burger! So I stuck with the regular fries which would never be my first choice. When the burger arrived the meat patty, while succulent and cooked nicely, was so small that it was dwarfed by the size of the very ordinary bun, which collapsed into mush in our hands as we ate. The bun was also really slathered with mayo which may have contributed to its disintegration. The overall taste sensation of the burger was one of mayo-soaked soggy bread, not meat. I doubt I would ever order their burger again. What a shame.
Great food and service, way to go George!!! ???? Anthony
Celebrated my mom's birthday at Wildfire and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience! We had exceptional service from George, and the food was very delicious. The caesar salad starter was a favourite for us. Would recommend, and we will visit again!
Excellent food with excellent service. Manager Ms Demoe was great. Definitely worth revisiting in the future.
What a wonderful find. A must try restaurant for sure the service was attentive and polite the place was clean and well decorated clean easy to find bathrooms the wine was great and we'll priced and the food well that was just fabulous and very well priced I will definitely recommend and return.
Frequently visit wildfire, when trying to make a reservation they told me I would have to give them my credit card # over the phone to make a reservation. They refused to make the reservation for me. They have lost me and everybody i know as customers over this ridiculous event. We like to support local establishments but wildfire makes it very difficult.
Excellent meal. Loved our steaks! And great value overall.
Great Food. Fantastic service, Jaimy was superb.
Had a great night here. Very nice environment, food was excellent, nice to see Oshawa have something higher class
BEST PLACE!! I will recommend this restaurant to everyone. Great food, Great Service, Awesome staff. VERY impressed. will definitely make this my new restaurant of choice.!!!
This place in not only nice they have very good tasting food what I mean by nice they were polite treated myself and my friend with dignity yes I will invite any one to go there
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time but it’s hard to get out with a toddler at home. I was so excited to see they now deliver with skip the dishes. I was very disappointed when they refused to take my order at 4:30pm because they were “anticipating” they’d be busy that night.
My wife and I went for a friends Birthday party, this place is top shelf. great customer service and amazing steak.
Nice restaurant, a little bit pricey, but very good food. I had a combination with piri-piri chicken and half rack of porc ribs that was very good. The service was excellent and I highly recommend it. The restaurant was also very busy as there were a lot of parties so the waiting time wasn't bad.
Impressive wine list with excellent service. The staff were really friendly and very experienced.
Positives: Salad was fresh. Sangria was tasty. Steak was flavorful & tender. Negatives: OVERPRICED!!! Ribs were unfortunately served barely warm. They really weren't all that enjoyable even after being refired on the grill. Original plate of rib dinner came with a lovely medley of broccoli and carrots. After receiving my plate back from kitchen it had enough broccoli to feed a small family and only 1 piece of carrot !!! $6 for 1 quite SMALL overcooked baked potato!! ridiculous. It's a potato people!!! For such a so called upscale high priced establishment one would think they could do more with the decor. Table cloths ? Candles? Better quality furniture. I mean a bit of decor can go a long way ! Ordered steak medium but was served medium rare. And sooooo small !! The size of my wife's palm possibly. Then there's the lack of a toilet paper dispenser in the ladies washroom ! For such an "upscale" establishment one would think they could do better than having rolls of tissue on the back of the toilet! Unsanitary For a 100$ meal, we were left disappointed and frankly baffled how this place stays in business. DO BETTER! We will never return or recommend this restaurant. There are far too many better restaurants offering far better value, food quality, ambiance. A serious fail unfortunately.
First lunch on the patio, since Co-Vid. Food is unsurpassable, and service is impeccable. An over-all best of the best experiences, enjoyed with a couple of friends. Thank you.
The steak was done to perfection. I asked for medium well and I got medium well thank you! Definitely going back!
$48 set menu was a great deal. Appetizer, entré, and dessert. Had escargot, top sirloin, and cheesecake. If you're looking for a good steak maybe just go to the Keg down the street. Mind you I haven't tried all their steaks at this place. Went there with wife and 2 kids. The bill came up to $180 (with tax and tip). Quite pricy imo. Service was great, however. Atmosphere was nice. You'd probably love this place if you like wine. They've got walls of them. Literally.
We went on last Saturday. it was my first time at Wildfire and will not be my last. I absolutely loved it. Great service and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the pepper corn gravy with your steak.
Fairly ok. Better than having to cook myself for a change. Both steaks were undercooked and the veg was just barely warmed peppers. My steak must have been from an end cut....very sinuey.
Wasn't ready for the lengthy stay, which apparently was intended and normal for this type of place. Not a good place to go with kids. Food was quite good, though. Don't go if you're overly hungry.
Came here for 2 year anniversary with my girl. Food and service was excellent. Shout out to Shawn waiting on us tonight!
Excellent cooked steaks. Coconut shrimp off the damn chain. Excellent service. Thank you for everything.
Went for our 34 wedding anniversary. Wanted to try somewhere knew, fingers crossed it was good. Did not let us down, service was amazing and so good.
Went here for lunch on Saturday. Had the fixed price option with my wife. Food was excellent. Angus burger and fries were Toronto quality as was the salads, breads and my bassa meal. Makes the keg down the street look like a gourmet burger king. Will definitely be back. Good value compared to jump downtown.
Great meal and very nice atmosphere.
Good food, staff was nice but overall it seemed a little slow. The place wasn't very busy and had plenty of staff, but service overall was slow. Drinks took a while as did the food. I'm not sure if it's because we went just after noon on a Sunday or not but was not what I would have expected. The food itself was very good and reasonable portions. I'm sure we will go back again and see if it was a 1 off day or not as we have had good service at other locations in the past.
This used to be my favourite steakhouse. No more mushroom ragu sauce which was like heaven on earth. The steaks are still excellent but a little on the expensive side for the atmosphere. Having said that should the mushroom ragu return it would be worth every penny :o)
Good food. Service not as good, server seemed to look down her nose, not very friendly. Other staff was much better!
We were a party of 20 with 2 servers. Food was good and came out in a timely fashion. Pad your wallet before you leave home...
My wife and I had reservations tonight for 730. After seated we waited for 25 minutes. A couple beside were seated after us , and recieved their appetizers and drinks. So we left. It was our first time going and our last.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food and fantastic service, Shawn served us and was excellent. Will definitely go back !!
We always love coming to Wildfire for special occasions but tonight we brought our parents over from the UK. They loved it. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We tried the signature cocktails too and would recommend the Toronto Vice. Fantastic service from George who was attentive and kind. Thank you so much for a great dinner we'll definitely be back.
Amazing! Service is amazing! Friendly staff and the food is amazing. They take into consideration any dietary restrictions and do whatever they can to make your dinner an amazing experience. Would absolutely come back and would recommend it to anyone in the area. Come here and enjoy your dinner!
Picked up a great package of meals to celebrate Mother's Day. Have always been pleased with Wildfire. Thanks.
Food was tasty but overpriced.
Chairs too close, felt cramped. Food was excellent. Service is very good.
Terrible experience. They went for a high end feel and made prices to match but the dinning experience was so bad. As well the food was nothing special. Small spaces had staff bumbing into me all night. I was so fustraded i couldnt even finish my meal.
Food was pretty good. I had takeout so my take out was missing a couple things like butter to dip my lobster tail in. The steak was an awesome cut steak but well done left it pink inside. Thinking a dine-in experience would be probably best for this place.
Carpaccio was good, roasted caesar was good... a couple of main dishes good,.. but for the price, it should have been excellent. I would try the place again but just as easily go elsewhere which shouldn't have been the case. I'll keep my hopes up for the next visit.
Amazing! Great food and good prices. Only thing is we had to ask for the bread instead of being offered it. Cozy atmosphere.
