This place is awesome! Heard great things about it and finally got in to try - not disappointed in the least bit. The burrito I ordered (veggie) held together for every bite I savoured, which surprised me. Just the right amount of spice and flavours - can't wait to go back!

Tried it once after reading all the great reviews. The burritos are a good price, but it was kind of flavorless. Not terrible but not that great either. Although it costs a few dollars more, Jimmy Guaco's is much better quality.

Ok... so it's a very very generous 3... the burrito was the right size and right concept... the flavor was not great.. its was quite bland. If there was a good sauce or would have been much better .. only sour cream was the option for sauce... another big let down was that there was NO HEAT and it was -30 with the windchill. I went to have a lunch with my husband before I started work and it was uncomfortable and rushed . Wearing my parka while i ate... this place has an amazing location and I truly feel like if he tweaked it and made some changes, it would be a big hit.

Insanely affordable food. You can get a giant burrito and a large bottle of pop for under $10. Perfect for students and anyone looking for a good meal when they're in the core of Oshawa. The food was pretty good too. My one complaint is that it was all very bland. If I could change one thing, I'd put some seasoning or spice in the rice, or get a punchier cheese, or put seasoning on the chicken... Something, anything to give it more taste. The owner was very nice and polite and the restaurant is very Mexican inspired in a fun way, clean and comfortable (but a bit hot inside), with a good amount of seating and a good view of Centre St. All in all, I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cheap, tasty, filling meal.

Viva is always delicious, ran by a single muchacho, his burritos HIT and they are cheap for how good they are. If this guy posted up near the college, he'd have to hire a whole armada of employees. Don't be fooled by its low profile. Tip him, because you'll feel like you're robbing him if you don't, the food is that good.

Great, fresh authentic tasting burritos and taco’s. The owner was really friendly and the food was delicious. The prices are more than fair for the product and portion size. We loved their house made sauces, especially the habanero Xtra-Hot! You can easily leave Viva Burritos stuffed for under $10. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food, you have to stop in and try.

Kind of a hidden gem downtown, as it is located on an otherwise nondescript block. But the colourful sign matches the awesome flavour of the burritos! They also sell corn flour and some Mexican candy/snacks.

Came with my son and his friend, we loved our corn tacos and whole wheat burrito, and the large salad is wow so filling that I'm taking most of it home. Owner/Chef is very friendly and patient with our many questions! It's a little place with a few tables and window stools but they have private parking in the back!

Not ordering from here again. Huge disappointment. First of the 10" burrito is really 6" or 7", I asked for beef hoping I would get ground beef which is usually what you get at other places but I got shredded beef, the lettuce was overkill too much of it. Honestly don't understand why they get 4.7 out of 5 stars, I have had better authentic burritos from other places. Now we know.

Great little Mexican place, got a large burrito for a reasonable $8.50 compared to other places that are $11-$12 small amount of different foods to choose from but it is a burrito place after all. The gentleman who owns the place is a very nice Mexican man so it's authentic Mexican cuisine. Overall I loved it and will definitely be eating there more often.

My boyfriend had been telling me for quite some time , just how wonderful the Burritos were Viva's were .And I had never had any kind of Mexican food before , was already a little hesitant about trying this . But I am so glad that I changed my mind and had one . The Burrito was terrific , when he came home with it and I unwrapped it , I said Oh I will never be able to eat all of it at one time , but I did , I loved it !!!!! !!!! Enjoy!!!

Naw this spot is not the one!! Listen now when I tell you, I Went here with a friend right. Spot looked good at first.. I ordered a STEAK burrito, friend got a CHICKEN burrito.. We got our stuff and left.. we’re thinking it looked nice good portion all that prices are good like everyone said.. but the burritos both had what looked like the exact same meat.. and it was Definitely PORK! Clearly smelled and tasted like that, luckily me and my friend both aren’t completely against it so it wasn’t the end of the world but Neither of us ate it, and bad experience. Any of my Muslim brothers and sisters I suggest you don’t visit here and tbh I don’t suggest anyone else

I went here twice in one day because the food was that good! I got the roasted red pepper burrito which is such a great veggie option. The owner was so friendly and he wasn’t hesitant (like most restaurants) when I made special requests or asked for extra of something. Not to mention, the small burrito is only $6. I live close enough that I’m going to be going everyday....he also sells his homemade hot sauce in little bottles and it is like nothing I’ve had before.

Been there probably 15 times total on and off the passed 5 months. Never been disappointed or had anything to complain about. Excellent food on a very consistent basis. Everyone I've brought here has agreed. Dont listen to the few negative reviews, these people probably showed up close to closing time as he closes early around 8. No one ive brought here has ever had a bad experience as well as myself.

Jesus, the owner is such a great guy & amazing chef. Our first visit in quite a while and the food is still amazing. Fresh made while you wait and the portions are huge! Best of all, for people who have sensitivities to onions, Jesus ensures no cross contamination with other ingredients. The prices are very reasonable too. Everything is homemade, authentic, it’s a small family run business. The owner is such a nice guy who does everything himself and the service is always with a smile. Try his homemade hot sauces, the mango and xhot are amazing together and if you like it hot (I like it insane) don’t be shy to ask him to crank it up! Ditch the McDonalds, this is healthy and affordable. ????????????????

Burritos and tacos are still good even if there is no guaco or pico de gallo. I didn't even notice it was missing until I saw another review...meaning they were still good without it. They also have mexican candy like bubu lubu. The portions are good. Real soft tacos 3 for $5. Beans are good. The steak (shredded which I like) is better than the pulled pork in my opinion and I like pulled pork. The guy at the counter is really nice.

We had a nice chat with the owner, were the first clients on this day. And both of us had a burrito. Authentic mexican! Really homemade. We had a lot of mexican food during our trip to Canada, but this was definitely the best one. There is a small parking lot in the back for your car, and you may take a seat in the small restaurant or take your food out and eat at home.

Anytime I'm there it feels good just to look at a master at work preparing my burrito or quesadilla right in front of me and you can customize it anyway you like.
